Being a mom is weird.

whenever i feel bad about needing more rest than others (even on a good day), i just remember that albert einstein slept 10h every night and took daily naps.
SMART goals for today: (i have to keep using the acronym to remind myself to keep things achievable lol...and sometimes i still have to edit some tasks throughout the day. it's not a failure, i'm still learning what "achievable" even is.)
morning routine ✅
physio exercises ✅
finish psyc ch 3/4 from last week ✅
finish psyc ch 4/4 from last week (i am sooooo close to being done w/ this, but i'm so tired. gotta listen to my body and get ready to sleep)
finish phil reading asst for this week ✅
work on phil quiz ✅ (answered from memory but i still have to check the readings)
skincare ✅
night routine ✅
wind down for 30 mins before sleeping with the light on (e.g. spacing out/meditate/journal/yoga/dealing with the things that distracted me while studying) ✅ (i wanted to meditate for 30 mins straight - i could not. while meditating, i was constantly reminded of things i didn't do yet and thoughts i wanted to get down that i kept stopping and starting the timer bc either these things have been bothering me for a while or i thought it was an important observation and it's now well over the 30 mins of winding down that i had originally planned and i'm sleeping a little later than i had wanted to. oh well. next time, it's probably a good idea to stick to the 30 min timer and NOT stop it now that a good number of bits and bobs have been dealt with...hopefully they don't all get replaced by new ones by the end of tmr 😂)

I would honestly rather these people just say “you’re rejected” & leave it at that than explain why if the criticism is going to make no fucking sense & be something I can’t even fix anyway. but that might just be the part of me that absolutely cannot handle rejection well at all & decided to pursue a goal that involves a lot of rejection by nature anyway

chu I feel so bad that your work is being plagiarized. This is a horrible week for all my favorite writers. Your work being plagiarized without consent then @/aeyumicore being impersonated for her LADS works too like WTH is going on in these fandoms. Did they ever take down your works, wattpad is bugging with me right now so i can't check
tbh i’m actually running thin on patience due to this mess :’) it really makes me reconsider to continue writing jjk altogether bc this fandom feels too insane for me lately and all of this is caused by… what, notes? attention? over fictional characters? 🤦🏻‍♀️ first i saw some subposts about me, then i got those anon asks about me hogging tags, then seeing my hard-written series be posted on wattpad and be totally remodelled into 15 chapters and retitled as they pleased, and not to mention, i see jjk discourses almost every day too in twt over the banalest things and i’m honestly so done with it 🥲 thankfully the wattpad user has taken down all their books as of now, though with 0 apologies whatsoever
i swear some people in these fandoms just have too much free time on their hands. plagiarism, impersonation (what on earth i just know that’s even a thing 💀)… they must be not right in the head bc first of all they simply don’t have a life—bc when you have demanding job like me/busy with college stuff, then surely you’ll know how to act accordingly. and second, that’s stealing—and by stealing they also basically admit it to everyone that they are just severely and utterly incapable that they have to resort to plagiarism
oh and all of these for what again? fictional characters. never thought my mental fortitude will get stronger just bc i became a fic writer 🫥

Hello my dears, New day, new horrendous Chrome UI update. 🎉🎉🎉
Fear not, even while they removed the flags from the settings which permitted to disable it in previous waves, and really want you to use their new UI, and really do act like a bully who just doesn't accept the word 'no'— there's still a way to disable it :)

Basically you right click the icon of the chrome wherever you usually use it, this guide will be for taskbar, under the cut other locations if you need :)
1.CLOSE ALL CHROME WINDOWS!! 2.Right click the chrome icon on the taskbar:

2.right click the chrome line again and click "properties"

3.inside the tab "shortcut" on the target/destination line, you must add the disabling of the new update in the following manner:

You will see this written: "C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" you will need to add, with a space, this: --disable-features=CustomizeChromeSidePanel It'll end up like this: "C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --disable-features=CustomizeChromeSidePanel 4.Apply and it's fixed, cheers :)

My dad keeps acting all insulted when it’s insinuated that my autism came from him but then I come downstairs at 9am on a Saturday morning and the man is listening to the most boring fucking podcast ever about electric cars. We don’t even own an electric car.
Sir, this is not neurotypical behaviour. (He also won’t turn the fucking thing off. So I’m trying to drink my coffee and read fic whilst the most boring sounding men on earth drone on and on about car batteries.)

i keep thinking today is saturday but it's friday. i want nothing more than to chill. but i really really really need to get back on track, so here i am pretending i'm studying at a cozy café when i'm actually just at my desk, feeling confused and utterly disorganized with all the info i have to shove into my brain 🙃 it's not that i hate or don't find what i'm learning interesting. i would really really really enjoy it if i could read about them and revise them at a leisurely pace. unfortunately that's not the case and nnnngggggghhhhhh sometimes i just feel like giving up but i would feel really terrible about it if i didn't at least try. i also updated my picker wheel so i'll be forced to do the maintenance things i've been putting off during my pomodoro breaks.
learning:
18 mol bio slides ✅ (i was supposed to finish all 30 left for this section but whenever i focus for >3h on a single subject i start zoning out and getting distracted...which is what happened 😵)
mol bio lecture 2/3 ✅ (there's a little bit left, but i am zoning out 😵‍💫)
finish psyc ch 2 of 4 ✅ (lately they just keep repeating info we've covered b4 with a few more details 🤷🏻‍♀️ i'm not complaining but i can't wait for them to cover new stuffff)
finish biochem section 4 ✅
biochem discussion posts ✅ (i completely forgot they were due today until 2h before the deadline 🙈😵🙈😵🙈😵 luckily, they're short assignments 🙈🙈🙈)

meditate ✅ (i did it on my own! for 10 minutes! it took a little bit to get my mind to quiet but eventually i was able to bring my attention back to my breathing/other physical sensations like the temperature with greater ease; feelings noticed: guilt -> anxiety bc i had not gotten started on my morning routine and studying right away)
