Meeting Jenna Ortega felt like a scene out of a movie. We were introduced by a mutual friend at a small gathering in Los Angeles. I had always been a fan of her work, admiring her talent and charisma from afar. The moment our eyes met, it felt like destiny. We clicked instantly, laughing and sharing stories late into the night. Jenna’s warmth and kindness were intoxicating, and it wasn’t long before we became inseparable.

My past was a tapestry of pain, woven from a troubled childhood with abusive and distant parents. Having Jenna in my life felt like a blessing, a beacon of hope that illuminated my darkest days. Our love blossomed quickly, and we spent every waking moment together, filling the voids in each other’s hearts.

As months passed, our bond grew stronger. We were inseparable, sharing dreams and fears, building a sanctuary of love and trust. But as they say, good things don’t last forever. Then came the event. I was working backstage, busy with preparations, when I saw her. Jenna walked into the dressing room, and our eyes met. She came up to me and said hi, her voice filled with nostalgia and regret. She told me she missed me, and for a moment, the world stopped. I smiled, acknowledging her words. Jenna said I looked great and was happy to see me thriving. Little did she know, I had spent countless nights crying over her, battling my demons in silence. But I had emerged stronger.

I told Jenna I was proud of her, that I always knew she was destined for great things. We both smiled, a bittersweet acknowledgment of what we had and what we lost. We knew the road had ended there. With a final embrace, we parted ways, thankful for the love we shared when we needed it most.

During July, Karlie was also making some posts insinuating Kaylor was struggling but still very much in touch (boxing gloves, out of the blue, wearing a cold shoulder top, randomly taking a rare social media break in late July/early Aug).

Looking at this timeline, it makes one wonder if Scott and Scooter planned the masters heist for the specific purpose of keeping Taylor in the closet, believing that her coming out would tank the value of Taylor’s masters. They assumed (rightly) that she’d pivot her plans when her life’s work was threatened.

Re: the Kaylor feud, depending on how you interpret these events and the lyrics Taylor has written about The Great War, you could think one of two diff scenarios happened:

1) Taylor really did think Karlie betrayed her for a time, even though that wasn’t the case (got the *sense* I’d been betrayed // telling me to punish you for things you never did). The reality is, even if Karlie knew nothing about the masters heist, she was partying with Scooter and Yael the very same weekend he already knew he’d made a deal with Scott Borchetta for Taylor’s masters. This increased Taylor’s sense of distrust and perhaps put a temporary rift between them (you knew it still hurts underneath my scars from when they pulled me apart, but what you did was just as dark.) 2) Taylor and Karlie were mostly fine but constructed the feud narrative (tore your banners down, took the battle underground) to keep the public’s eyes off of them while Taylor created a battle plan on the masters.

Either way, we know Ash and Claire were used to push the Kaylor feud narrative. Being non-celebrities, they are often used to sell the “real” story to Swifties. Them liking the Perez tweet was the first time anyone on Team Taylor had confirmed a rift between Kaylor.

We know from Taylor’s lyrics that Karlie never actually betrayed her:

-telling me to punish you for things you never did

-looked up at me with honor and truth

-my hand was the one you reached for all throughout the great war

-it’s like I’m wasting your honor

-your integrity makes me seem small

-put you in jail for something you didn’t do

-hey it’s all me in my head, I’m the one who burned us down

I think we can glean from these lyrics that Taylor perhaps regrets her rash decision to paint Karlie as the bad guy. Yet it also stands that the feud has given them cover to live their life under the radar.

Karlie coming to Eras tour was a really interesting shift in the narrative. But even more notably, Taylor herself has never acknowledged it. We can conclude that leaving it open ended is serving Taylor in some way. Perhaps allowing her to have her cake and eat it too (Karlie being there to support Taylor for the Eras movie filming and the announcement of 1989TV, but Taylor still not acknowledging Karlie publicly).

I am begining to write an 'after' fic which has brought up a lot of questions and speculation that I'd like to share. Yes willmon is endgame but also where do they go from here?

Money (what are the Erikssons doing with their money from August?) 

The rift between Wille’s elitist upbringing and Simon’s economical and political beliefs 

Wille needs to learn and figure out what he wants his relationship with politics and money to be 

Abdication 

Wille is giving up the crown but he now has to go through that process 

Official meetings 

What is his new title going to be 

What money does he have not has Crown Prince 

The official statement of abdication and handing the duty to August 

Figuring out the PR strategy for this as well 

Wille isn’t free automatically he is going to price for a little while longer while they introduce August more prominently to the public so that the crown isn’t handed off to seemingly a stranger 

They also have to figure out a way to make sure it is clear that this is a choice Wille made for himself rather than because of his very publicised relationship 

Making sure there won’t be speculation that he is leaving voluntarily because the Swedish monarchy doesn’t want a queer monarchy because that would be a media shitstorm 

School 

Where is Wille going to school? And Simon? 

Even with abdication he is still a part of the Swedish aristocracy would he go to another posh school? 

I think not with everything that happened at Hilerska but its also the thing he knows, so how does he figure that out?

They have witnessed every thing that Simon has gone through because of his relationship with Wille and now they are back together again

On that note does Linda? She definitely cares for Wille but she also knows how this has affected her son.

Does Wille have to prove his intentions and himself? 

Can he Rosh and Ayub truly form a friendship? How will that happen 

Simon, Wille, Sara, and Felice have forged their own kind of found family through shared traumas and love for one another, how to Rosh and Ayub fit into that new dynamic? Will there be conflict because of this?

Hi bestie, loved your last post about the hypocrisy behind defending Joe versus Karlie. Are you a Kaylor historian? 🤭 Or do you know someone who is? Does anyone have sourced reasoning tied to why people turned on Karlie? Or was it all purely based in rumors and hearsay? I just don’t know the history that well surrounding what caused the (supposed) rift (both them drifting apart publicly and anything that’s as said). Just the general fallout.

I am far from a historian, but I have enjoyed studying up on this myself. I’ll give it my best, and if I miss any important details, everyone else is welcome to chime in as well! We’ve got a great community around here with lots of knowledge. (If anyone has links to the many Tumblr posts documenting the below in more detail, please share! I know we’ve got so much of their timeline mapped out with photos and evidence. This is just my overview, as I’m currently in the office working.)

In short, the rumors were largely unfounded.

To fully get the context of the “rift” between them, I think it’s important to note that their public friendship which had once been very loud and affectionate dimmed significantly after they were caught on video kissing at the 1975 concert in December of 2014 (kissgate). People were already speculating that they were no longer friends anymore, but they were still occasionally seen together, and Karlie maintained in an interview that she and Taylor were still very close.

I think that background is important, as it had Swifties on high alert and ended up setting the scene for what happened next.

Come the masters heist just as Lover era kicked off, Perez Hilton posted a gossip tweet alleging that Karlie might have shared information with Scooter. This was a baseless claim which came only from the fact that she was contracted with Scooter as her manager at the time and thus was seen at gatherings where he was present. It’s worth noting that as soon as her contract with Scooter was up, Karlie ended that business relationship and found new management.

Swifties, however, ran with that narrative. From one gossip column whose author is known to create drama, rather than reporting news. This was not at all like with Taylor and Joe’s “breakup” news, which was reported by reputable magazines and publications that Taylor has always had positive relationships with.

The only proof these Swifties have of these rumors comes in the form of Ashley Avignone and Claire Winter, two friends of Taylor, “liking” Perez’s tweets regarding this. Those likes are gone now, though, and the tweets wiped from the internet (though their legacy unfortunately has lived on and mutated into something vile). I think it’s very interesting and important that the tweets are gone, because one has to wonder why. Who had it removed? What happened to those “likes?”

Meanwhile, Karlie has always denied any claims that they fell out, and she famously tweeted “I will not allow the media to misconstrue my words. Taylor has always had my back, and I will always have hers.”

That tweet is still there. Taylor did not have that one wiped from the internet.

And, as Taylor Swifts friends and family are quickly jumping ship and unfollowing Joe on social media (Austin, Ryan Reynolds, and the Haim sisters all did in the last day), many of Taylor’s closest friends continue to publicly support Karlie (including Ryan, Haim, and Selena Gomez, who is supposed to be Tay’s best friend). Even Abigail (Taylor’s childhood bestie) still follows Karlie, which I think is the most telling thing of all. If these people would all be moved to unfollow Joe because of an allegedly amicable breakup, it would make even more sense for them to unfollow Karlie and keep as much distance as possible—if there really had been this big, world-ending betrayal, that is.

But there was no betrayal. Just one—ONE—rumor started by one man, and an entire misogynistic generation that went on a witch-hunt to make Karlie as miserable as possible. To this day, people harass Karlie over it, and she remains polite and strong.

The treatment of Karlie has always bothered me, but it stands out even more now as I see the same Swifties jump to Joe’s defense over far less egregious claims (with far more evidence of truth to them).

Again, if anyone has links to outlines of kissgate, early lover era (or even how it appeared Taylor was about to come out at that time), or anything else I’ve mentioned here, please share! I know there are so many resources here on our little hellsite, but as I’m working right now, I don’t have time to dig for them.

Hi. Yes, a few years back I answered about 127 members reaction. Who was surprised, who wasn't, that kind of thing. Thing is, I can only speculate, try to make an educated guess. I can say with conviction that some scenarios weren't possible (like a 127 neo being homophobic towards them), however, there is very little to use to reconstruct the events in detail. There were no fights, noone was avoiding JaeDo, no bad jokes.

It was easy, actually. Jaehyun went full boyfriend mode right after coming out. Of course there was a shift in dynamics, mostly Jae forgetting his friends, heh.

Taeyong seemed to be the most affected, he was awkward with both for some time. I think he didn't realise and was offended Doyoung hid so much from him. Do is a very private person, and some weeks passed between JaeDo getting together and telling the group.

JohnDo rift happened at the end of 2020. JaeDo got together in 2018.

Doyoung is not the person to be told he can't date another member because of a possible scandal. He is perceived as the most responsible. I can see where you are coming from, but JaeDo never did anything very risky for Johnny to have concerns for the group. Want it or not, Tae and Do are at the heart of the group, they do the most for the unit. You go against Do, you have minimum 3 people against you and 1 (2 back in 2018) who would prefer to not be involved at all.

Remember that to this day Johnny is grateful Doyoung asked him to stay and debut. He would be a bad friend if he didn't support his dating choice. And it was Johnny who said way back in 2016 that JaeDo reminded him his parents because they argued like a married couple.

Grace and the Power of Kind Words

My Tita has a collection of magazines that I failed to appreciate as a child. I think almost all of her magazines were dumped already but what I can remember vividly is that most of the magazines that she owns have the Queen of all Media, Kris Aquino as the cover girl of the magazine. Hence, she became my connotation of a magazine.

As I pondered what magazine article I must write a blog about, I thought about my Tita’s magazines. I would also like to write about a local artist in a local magazine in this blog entry. And I want that artist to be very significant to me.

Well, it is not unknown to most people that Ms. Heart Evangelista is a famous fashion icon, showcasing her talent and influence on the international stage. More so, I think everybody in the Philippines knows one of the most iconic Miss Universe 2015, Pia Wurtzbach. These two influential women have their own way of making waves on the international stage and have met halfway in the realm of fashion.

Recently, the two were tangled in a feud revolving around this certain ex-glam team of Heart being seen as Pia’s current glam team. Though, it was actually not an open feud because the two women were silent about the issue but fans speculate that they are throwing shade against each other.

I am actually sad about this rumored feud between them because I am a fan of both women and I follow them both on social media. That’s why as I saw this headline in MEGA Magazine, I knew that this was gonna be the article that I was going to write about.

It was out of my knowledge that Heart did address the issue about Pia in the media so I was so shocked upon seeing the headline of the article. Upon reading the content, I was convinced that there was actually a rivalry between the two. But I loved how Heart addresses it sophisticatedly. It may seem like this feud might be so subtle but I personally think that there is weight in it.

Reading the article proved my perspective on Heart Evangelista. Beyond her glamorous persona, what stood out to me was her ability to handle such a delicate issue with grace and wisdom. I believe that Heart’s approach was not about fanning the flames of speculation but addressing the rumors with dignity—the epitome of an empowered woman. She took control of the narrative and focused on her journey instead of the noise surrounding it.

A statement that lingered with me which I believe speaks volumes is when she said: “Woman to woman, I never had a problem with Pia. It’s the people that she chose to surround herself with for specific reasons that make this whole thing problematic” message to Pia Wurtzbach. It wasn’t an attack or a clapback. It was a reminder that even with a rivalry or a feud, respect is possible. 

In contrast to what other people say about throwing shade, Heart defied it by saying her regards to Pia instead as she stated: “Congratulations. You have what you needed. I wish you nothing but the best and good luck. Sana hindi mangyari sa’yo na nangyari sa akin,”. In looking at how the writer wrote this article, this didn’t seem like an article that would spark more rage in the fanbases of each of the artists but it seemed an empowering one—giving importance to the dignity and class of both women to handle the situation maturely.

I am also curious about what Pia has to say about this issue at hand. But I believe that as an empowered woman and an eloquent speaker that she is, she would also respond with grace and elegance while delivering a substantial message to contribute to addressing the issue.

Looking back to the magazines that my Tita ones owned, back then, I only perceived magazines as mere glossy covers that have better quality and more photos as newspapers. But now, I realize the significance of magazines as they hold stories too. It represents culture, ambition, or how we connect with those we look up to.

So the lesson we can learn here is to—

celebrate each other’s path, respect others, and remember that kindness never goes out of style.

For as long as August Bailey Rhodes can remember, he has felt as though he has a point to prove and maybe a bit of a chip on his shoulder. Tabloids, magazines, online articles — any form of media really — gave no quarter to former Broadway darling April Rhodes. Nor any of her children for that matter. Despite the chaos that often surrounded the family, August's Type A personality kept his feet planted firmly on the ground and fueled him with a determination to succeed on his own terms. As of right now, the ultimate goal is to make it big as either an actor or a musician. August is not picky, he will be content as long as he is performing. (And casting directors aren't nearly laughing him out of the room — August nearly lost out on a role in Dead Boy Detectives if it hadn't been for a combination of sheer stubbornness and wanting to give the audition his best shot.) On one hand, he dreams of starring in Broadway musicals or TV dramas; on the other, he is one third of the boy band Velvet Harmonies. The band is currently an eclectic fusion of pop and Broadway influences, and while they are still on the rise, August believes that with enough persistence, they'll make it to the top.

The road so far has been fraught with challenges and August has no reason to doubt it will change, and they remain willing to rise to them. Tabloids have kept a close eye on them over the years, either speculating on whether they will repeat April's mistakes or conjuring fabricated romances and rifts either between family or friends. April Rhodes had so much success planned for her. She was talented, with the vocals of an angel and a spunky attitude to outshine her petite body. Her success on Broadway was everything. She was Glinda in the original Wicked cast, and had Tony awards to her name. And that’s when the stress of success started getting to her and alcohol became her solace. Failed relationship after failed relationship was enough to have April doing things that she couldn’t remember anything. I 100% believe Patricia/Jonás was supposed to keep going through her marriage to Valentin, but that it was abruptly ended for behind-the-scenes reasons.

Now, I've got no idea what those reasons are. I don't know if it was an actor issue or some disagreement in the writers' room or maybe even a repercussion related to when/how they were going to need to write off Alberto, since that happened around the same time that P/J was dropped.

But as you said, the writers got P/J to an unexpectedly emotional place in their affair, with a side of Patricia that hadn't been seen before then and was never seen again afterward. Like, they didn't have to do that. They could easily have kept it just another one of their wacky comedic side-plots they loved so much.

But, no, the writers chose instead to write a scene where we have to watch Jonás stand there and watch her in her wedding dress while he begs her not to marry another man, not just because Jonás is in love with her (his desperate little "It's too late" to Pedro is going to live in my head forever) but because he knows that she won't be happy.

And the story they were setting up could have taken both characters to the end of the show. Does Patricia get to a place where she can ever be with Jonás openly, or do they ultimately decide they are too different and part ways, but with this messy history between them that sometimes flares up and causes issues at Velvet? There were seasons' worth of drama in that question that was just chucked aside in a way that kind of still shocks me a little.

So that's why I think there was a quick rewrite for some BTS reason. And I can't even speculate about what that reason might have been, because there's so little out there from the writers about their process, and I don't recall seeing any obvious rift between LG and MG on social media.

One of the biggest mysteries of the show, IMO.

it's so crazy that patricia and jonás ever had their fling bc like.......... what was the point of that?!?! like I literally forgot it ever happened until this rewatch bc it's only happening for like 6 episodes and it feels like the writers were just really desperate to have jonás start seeing someone after luisa ended things and just paired him w patricia bc she's single at that time. but it's so weird bc when you're watching it, it feels like this is a plot to peel back some layers on patricia, bc this no-strings-attached, sex-only rship she has w jonás is the one rship where she's not wearing a facade, bc she's playing the chaste innocent proper lady for valentín (and his mom), she's gotta be the tough impenetrable business woman with alberto and cristina and barbara (and enrique to a degree). like it's the only honest rship she has at the moment. and jonás is like "I know it's just sex, but I'm falling in love with you"???????? and patricia is clearly affected by that, she returns his passion when she kisses him after that confession. jonás tries to talk her out of the marriage and when he accepts that he's not going to persuade her, he's like "you'll be miserable. you don't have to be." and she even tries to rile him up bc she clearly wants him to go after her. and then she gets married to valentín and this is never acknowledged again???? like literally as soon as the marriage happens, the writers start to have enrique around her more??? and after the news of alberto's "death", she goes back to enrique???? the abusive controlling asshole who's married????? and it's not portrayed as her being self-destructive, the writers want us to think it's romantic, bc he's offering to be her support system????? HUH?????? and they're endgame???? H U H???????

an analysis of crumb cuptoast’s amnesia was her name animation

disclaimer: this is not me attempting to look into or “truth” crumb and her mental health in any way. she’s stated that she’s alright in previous animations dealing with similar topics. for the sake of this analysis, i’ll be speaking more about crumb the character, as opposed to crumb the content creator; however, areas are prone to overlap at times. art is, of course, subjective, and i’m in no way claiming that this is the right interpretation of his work, simply what i’ve been able to derive from it.

amnesia was her name (hereby shortened to awhn) stands to answer one simple question: who is crumb cuptoast? it’s a motif that’s been present in previous animations, first seen in “i hate you”, continued in “crying”, and arguably wrapped up in awhn. as this is supposed to be an analysis of awhn, i’ll keep this as brief as possible, but both previous animations showed and highlighted the rifts in crumb’s personality. when it comes to the crumbs, we have:

cat crumb

cat is the front woman. the internet celebrity. the star that everyone loves. it’s cheerful, and the only crumb perpetually shown as smiling throughout. cat has all the perks of stardom without any of its downsides.

box crumb

box is crumb’s personal life and self. she’s the crumb that goes to school, that browses social media, and, as shown in pad thai, the crumb that deals with the ugly side of social media cat doesn’t face. she’s shown to despise cat in “i hate you”, most likely due to cat never having to deal with negativity, and it being all piled onto box instead.

anthro crumb

anthro is the hardest of the four to pin down, partially due to her only appearing in two of the three main animations. from their appearance in “crying”, they appear to be the more emotional side. she’s also most likely the one keeping the four of them in tact and together, and is desperately shown working her hardest in order to keep them from falling apart. (this is the most speculative part, but it could also be that antrho is the only one that truly sees them as a “whole” instead of different facets, as shown by him flipping between crumbs.)

void crumb

void is an interesting facet. portrayed as the “villain” in the previous two animations, he’s both crumb’s fears and expectations, as shown in “crying”. unlike the other crumbs, void is largely unemotional, and often a menacing figure looking in the background. she’s literally crumb without the mask, and arguably, the “truest” version of crumb out of the four.

(it’s of note to mention that each of the three main animations have focused on a different crumb, with “i hate you” focusing on box, “crying” centering around anthro, and awhn following void)

i won't be covering every scene, obviously, only the more notable/important ones that piece the story together. i feel as if this works the best with visuals to coincide the analysis, though i'm limited because of tumblr's formatting, so follow along with the video if you'd like [link]. with that out of the way, let’s get this thing started ^_^

the first scene is a direct parallel to the last, which we'll get to later. it shows crumb, all for of them, in an unorganized bedroom. the background is a warm gray, contrasting against the other crumbs' white skin. void is notably the odd one out of the scene, as while the other three are uncovered, standing, void sits in her bed, bottom half concealed by her sheets. it's a small detail, but while all three of the other crumb's have pure white skin, void's is a more realistic, though sickly-looking, skin tone.

this is another scene that'll be a direct parallel to a later one. crumb is constantly playing a game of telephone with herself. it's not right to say they’re hiding behind their persona, necessarily. more accurately, it’s detached itself from those personas. instead of having one, united crumb, she has split herself into different states to conceptualize different parts of herself. the divide has grown so wide that he’s fully embraced it, seeing the others as not extensions of himself, but different characters entirely. they're all still the same person, as shown by the fact that they're all repeating what void, the "real" crumb says, but that fact is lost to crumb entirely.

there's also something to be said about the intensity of which the three bipedal crumbs are speaking, as opposed to cat's. while the three appear to be whispering, or muttering in some way, cat is unashamed, blurting her thoughts out for everyone to hear. once again, she's the fame without all the negativity—of course she would be bold with her words.

after hugging all three crumbs, we see them disappear from void's grasp. it has a moment of realization, slowly stepping back as the other three appear in front of it in turn. they end up holding their own head as everything crashes into them—this is the start of the end. void has realized the truth of her separation, and the fact that she and the others are the same whole, and not their own individuals.

which leads into the sticky note on the wall as she questions what her name truly is. which crumb is the true crumb? there has to have been an original, one before she began seeing herself as "others", and she's desperate to find out the truth. the first sticky note reads "crumb", and when he rips that one away, the note beneath it reads "cuptoast". both are aliases for the same person: herself. there is no difference between the two, like there is no difference between void and cat and box and anthro. they're all the same. the realization is further proven to void: she is them as much as they are her. they’ve fragmented themselves to the point where they’d forgotten, personifying them into their own selves entirely. (there's another name, as well, one we don't see, and that is as much her as any of the others.)

as he goes to pull away the second sticky note, another version of void appears behind him, killing him. this leads to two different things:

crumb is still afraid to discover her true true self. afraid may not be the right word, admittedly, but something is holding them back from that discovery. a part of them is hesitant, still, either unwilling or unable to open up to such an extent.

void's been literally killed, but she's died metaphorically, as well. the very next scene shows him laying down to sleep in his own grave, further cementing the fact. the realization he’s come to is one that cannot be undone. the old, unaware void is dead, and the new, awakened one is forced to take her place, whether she's ready for it or not.

despite this, void is still in a small bit of denial. that denial is ripped from it, however, when it comes across a grave with it own name (presumably) etched upon it. she falls to her knees and begins digging, desperate for answers, only to come face to face with what she fears most, and what she's known all along: herself. there's no backing out now. no loopholes or fantasies he can create to distract himself from the truth.

we then see void embracing another version of herself, most likely her own corpse. they’re embracing their past self, and moving onto the future, letting that part of themselves finally rest and be at peace.

notice the difference in this scene compared to the beginning's. there's no more telephone game. there's no more hiding behind masks and personas. all four speech bubbles come from void herself, instead of being spread out between the crumbs. their words are their own. they've always been, but he knows that now, and the thought is as comforting as it is terrifying.

the other crumbs are killed, decapitated before her eyes. that's what's supposed to happen, right? he’s killed those parts of himself, having now come to this realization. except, no. that's not right. they're not dead, they're just her now. they've become one, like they were always meant to be. we see this physical shift when all four crumbs put their hands (paws) together, merging back into one person, as they always were.

in what's my all-time favorite frame of any of crumb's animations, we see that all three of the other crumbs' faces have gone dark. not just dark, but completely black. they've become one with void. their identities aren't erased, as they still exist within him, but their physical forms are gone, merged into void himself.

and we see that. crumb wakes up in its bedroom. clean. no longer off-white. it is alone. and she is herself. and that, perhaps, is not as scary of a thought as they always thought it would be.
