Okay so everytime I play security breach, I always have to trigger some bits of Freddy's dialogue cuz I just love how he says things.

Example of this is in the beginning, it's very mundane, but when he's carrying Gregory in his hatch and you try to enter any of the other doors backstage and he says

I would love to do a tour, but this door is locked.

It's just cute because he's just.. "Aww, this kid is really curious about exploring. It's too bad we're on scrapped for time. Also, those areas are inaccessible." That's how I interpreted it.

Most of these are based on how I personally interpret, just letting you know before I go too deep with rambling. If you have any different interpretations, drop them, I'd love to see it.

Anyways, one of the dialogue bits that make me giggle every time I hear it is during the Prize Counter mission. Gregory accidentally sets off the alarm and is panicked by it. Of course, we enter the mini game, trying to keep Monty and Roxy out for 3 minutes.

Honestly, despite playing the game so many times, it's one of the few missions I kinda dread. It's just nerve-wracking less than scary. Especially if it's later in the run with one or both of the bots shattered and you can't save right away.

But what tops it is after you survive the 3 minutes, probably having few near death close calls and stressing (Gregory definitely was), Freddy simply says:

All done! See, that was not so bad!

And it's like... Freddy? What do you mean?? I almost fucking died. You weren't even there! He sounds so cheery about it.

You spent nearly 4 minutes fighting for your life, and you're met with Freddy's lackadaisical attitude. It kills me. Freddy, when I catch you-

Don't get me wrong, what Freddy did was helpful, even if he just turned off the alarm. And he's been helpful for most of the game... (for the most part, maybe conceptually)

And I feel that he only says that as a way to soften the blow of the situation, like he usually does when something goes wrong. Always trying to find the bright side.. like a true optimist. It's like when a kid is about to do something scary and the adult can't do much, letting the kid be independent, and simply watch (and step in if they have to).

Once the scary situation ends in either the kid succeeding or maybe injuring themselves, the adult then steps in either praising or comforting them. "See, it wasn't that bad. You did it!" Or "Oh, I'm sorry, you did your best. There's always next time/maybe I can help you."

While it's annoying that Freddy responds in a causal way (again, it makes me chuckle), it adds something to him that gives him that paternal role Gregory (or the player) needs. He deals with kids all the time, and I'm sure he probably tries his best to be hands-on. Praising them when they do something, whether its minimal, like retrieving an item, or huge like winning a game and whatnot.

There's countless times Freddy graces Gregory with praise, no matter how treacherous or simple the task is. And that's adorable.

Of course, I'm still beating his ass though (affeftionate), cuz what do you mean you can't come save me 85% of the time? What else are you doing when you're not around me?

Don't get me wrong, I loved many things about apology tour (mainly Verosika) but I was hoping this to be the break from the drama of Stolitz instead of a continuation of it. And thought I loved Verosika and her final interactions with Blitz... it felt a little... I dunno.. not logical? (not her interactions, but most of the episode)

Stolas and Blitz relationship is a whole can of worms on its own, but I'm on the team that Stolas was forcing Blitz, like I mean in the pilot of HB it showed how uncomfortable Blitz was with him, and in the very first episode how he was forced to it since he was in a very dire situation (and Stolas knew about it, since he is seeing it developing in real time throught his bubbles)... (and I mean, the pilot face says it all)

But back on track...

So my questions, how Verosika knew about their break up? All of it happened between Stolas home, not even in public, and I don't think Stolas posted it on social media... also Why is she treating him so nicely and touchy? I mean on Ozzies, the bouncer showed reverence when he saw Stolas and let him in alongside Blitz.

I could see her treating him with more respect, or asking him if its alright to hug him or something because of his royal status, or at least refer to him as "your highness" (and in Stolas fashion he would be like "Oh don't need to be so formal but eh... anyway). Sure, they are in a more casual and comfortable environment, but even then, there are some manners expected when approaching a royal. If you are going to disregard his status, then why have a ladder with the different races and their social hierarchy? I get it was to show how sweet Verosika was really, but there could be a ton of approaches to this (and it wasn't hard to tell, since she was only mean to Blitz and has been speculated since her first appearance she is really nice and lovely once you get to know her).

And talking about approaches, this episode could be PERFECT to explore more about Blitz and Verosika. Yes, they talked at the end and we get to hear that the shitshow Blitz pulled on Verosika was after she told him she loved him (and she admitted she was embarrassed since it was the first time she felt that way). Put Stolas on the sidelines for a little while, and focus on these two. Maybe not a hearfelt talk for the whole episode, but making Blitz realize that before he could apologize to Stolas, he needed to work on himself first and foremost(because his apology to him was very forced as well). I think their talk came too quickly, and even then, why talk? Why Blitz would ask Stolas for forgiveness? In his eyes on Full Moon, Stolas was using him and he ended their contract, so he snapped (rightfully so, he first forced him and now is tossing him aside).

Or hell, make it about Blitzo and his past relationships including her, how he fucked up every single one of them, knowing about more about how he meet them, how he fucked up in every single one of them, make him feel remorse since the beginning, not to just feel remorse at the end just because he couldn't get the uwu bird back. (In one episode of "The mentalist" TLDR: Doc Dungan, a football star, is told to the media to be dead when in fact he is alive. He gets to watch what people really think of him, including his ex wife, and gradually this was the wake up call he needed to stop being a self-centered asshole, more things of the episode of course, but i liked this take, now that Blitz was in a somewhat similar situation of him not being dead but having the opportunity to see and hear his exs opinions, honest opinions, about him, not just the hate part).

And... putting all this behind, WTF with Verosika's psycho break with the cake? Her voice completly changed and it feel... odd. Sure, she is not fan of Blitz, and everytime he showed up, she showed the contempt and the bitterness towards him. So this change of personality of hers stabbing the cake with so much malicious intent felt really odd coming from her. Like, following HB logic (ugh, and there isn't much), this outburst is more like how Stella would react to a Stolas cake, seeing her cartoonish hate towards him and how she treats him. Verosika never had that type of "hate" towards Blitzo. In Spring Broken aside from the fight on the parking lot, she was ignoring him, until he came to challenge her. And in Ozzies was a coincidence both of them were there at the same time, and she took the opportunity when it presented to diss on him.

So her acting like a maniac vengeful ex who wants him dead seems a non logical change (and if she wanted him dead, like the scene implied, she has the resources to ask for a hitman). I get the cake was there as pettiness symbol. But still pettiness is different from hate. And then revert that change that on was during 2/4 of the episode (the manical laughter also set me off).

At the end it was showed that she still cares for him in a way (showed in the lasts bits of the episode)... so? I would also expect that kind of murderous rage from people with absolute hate and bitterness (again, like how they are depicting Stella, damn, Stella acted the same way when discussing Stolas death if I recall and in other situations when Stolas was almost hurt).

I don't think she was acting to make him feel welcome (because Stolas looked uncomfortable when she started to act that way, and I get many exes would have those feelings towards him, but... ) and she definitely wasn't drunk, even if she have been drinking since the start of the party, it think at this point, she has a very high tolerance, so she would need a lot more to get drunk.

So yea, I loved Verosika and her return, but I expected an episode centered around her (like spring broken was) instead of shifting the focus again to stolas and blitz, who have been the main focus since the beginning of season 2. If Verosika knew about the whole shit Stolas pulled, I don't think she would have invited him to the party, since the exes part means a consesual relationship, something that Blitz and Stolas thing wasn't. Hell, I think if she could, she would have called him out (again, yes, she hates Blitz, but she still cares, I don't think she would have liked to know how his ex was raped repeatedly) since now its shown that his royal status is bleh.

So yeah, the episode felt like a excuse to comfort Stolas, still make Blitz the bad guy, give Stolas the thumbs up and comfort while Blitz rots in self hate. Verosika being the tool to comfort the poor uwu bird.

Uf, this was a long rant, and even if you don't agree, that's fine. I'm just a guy who loves Verosika Mayday... but is already tired of the writing that pushes this couple at the center of all of it.

we need more fresh-out-of-the-pit aurora. i see so much newly summoned phantom and about how he's left out and confused and just wants to please his packmates and like YES absolutely but what about rory?!?!??! (under the cut because i went on a tangent)

first of all - her summon !!

phantom and aurora being bonded summon buddies means everything to me so yes they got summoned together in the same circle no i won't take criticism yes they're in love in every way possible

rory refuses to look at anyone but phantom for the first few days, no one can even get a good look at her face. the girls take her on the tour of their part of the den and all that but she looks at the ground the whole time and escapes to her room until phantom is done getting the tour and they hide together. she only wears his clothes (aka swiss' old clothes but she doesn't know that yet) for ages and they'll venture out together to get food and maybe explore their new environment a bit but apart from that you don't see them.

but then how about a bit after her summon when she gets more used to things? what about her being so tiny? in the pit it had its positives but topside? she's still getting used to everything being so big. she has no concept of fashion or hair or makeup so when she sees cumulus and her beautiful white curls she decides i want to do that! and lus ends up having to brush out all the knots she made for an hour. or how about this - she's absolutely TERRIFIED of the older ghouls. aether and omega? she is kind of used to. zeyphr? not yet. alpha? absolutely not. after only knowing of her own small multi ghoul size and her pale pink complexion her whole life in the pit, how do u expect her to react to the massive, grey skinned fire ghoul? that's a trick question, she won't deal with him. she disappears into thin air (she's half air ghoul!!!!) everytime she sees him.

but that's just the silly stuff, what about the angst???

seeing how close cirrus and cumulus are and desperately wanting to impress them, but overdoing it and embarassing herself so she doesn't talk to anyone but phantom for a week and the girls are so upset that she's back to square one?

or during that week - not being able to talk to phantom as much as she's like because aether has him practicing so much and she's still slightly intimidated by the older ghoul so she doesnt wanna annoy him by stealing away his student so she seeks out mist - the solitary ghoulette who only really hangs out by the shore occasionally - but mist wasn't even aware there was a new ghoulette so she freaks out at the sight of rory and rorys left all alone with no clue how to make friends

or her returning back to the abbey hours later when everyone was stressing about where the fuck the tiny ghoulette disappeared to and turns out she got lost in the forest trying to find flowers for the girls as an apology because she saw mountain give them bouquets and she's covered in scratches and mud and bug bites and her hair is full of leaves and sticks and she's sobbing her eyes out and phantom runs over to her and won't let anyone near her for the whole evening and snaps at anyone who comes too close

but eventually aether gets them both to calm down and the girls bring aurora into their part of the den and clean her off (with phantom there watching over her the whole time because he's not that calm yet) and tell her she doesn't have to impress them and put cream on all her bites and braid her hair and tell her how pretty she is and how they're so happy she's here and eventually swiss pulls phantom away to talk to him about not trying to murder his packmates over aurora because none of them are going to hurt her (phantom saw aurora being upset because she got lost looking for stuff for the girls and immediately thought they did it on purpose) and when he leaves the girls make a big pile of pillows and blankets and lay her down and let her get all her feelings out

and she's on her side and cirrus is at her back and cumulus at her front and sunny at her feet and they're all whispering sweet nothings to her as she cries silently at how comforting it all feels and falls asleep to lus humming a tune and wakes up and the whole pack sit down in the morning to talk it all through 💕💕💕💕

oh yes and she definitely saw cirrus eating salad one day and then mountain took her to the flower field just beyond the greenhouse and turned away for 2 seconds and she started trying to eat all the flowers because she thought that's what cirrus' salad was made out of

You didn't know what to do, you were enchanted by him. From the smallest action he did for you, till his talks, his voice, or his ebony smooth hair, and ofcourse his enchanting violet eyes, you loved it all.

When the first time you two met, he was there standing alone in rain, with nothing shielding him from the divine showers of sky. Many people passed by him, but no one paid any heed. He looked sad, almost broken or perhaps lost in deep thought. You don't know what took over you, but you rushed towards him and shielded him with your red umbrella. After feeling the stoppage of downpour on his head, he lifted his gaze on you, those amethyst eyes, captivating yoi then and there. It was a unique colour, and you had never seen such beautiful eyes in your entire lifetime, but something dark and unsettling clouded those jewels. He blankly stared at you for a moment before asking, "Why? Why bother??" You couldn't help but feel a blush creep up your cheeks after hearing his deep voice, as if he wasn't handsome enough already. You simply replied, "I just wanted to, can't have you soak in rain, you might get sick." To tour reply he just chuckled a little and thanked you for your kindness, asking for your name.

And soon just like that, one meeting lead to another and he couldn't help but feel a lingering warmth everytime you two were together, initially he didn't realise what was this feeling, until one day when he saw you bleeding to death because someone had stabbed you thinking that you were the one who made them suffer, not knowing that they had got the wrong person.

As Fyodor saw you bleeding and unconscious, he couldn't help but panic to what might happen next, he needed you alive, he can't see you die not after all the deaths of his close ones he had experienced throughout the years. His mind was foggy as he waited for docter to treat you, he knew he had to take revenge on whoever hurted you like this, but his brain just wasn't functioning, he couldn't even figure out simple facts about the suspect which he can do in seconds on other normal days. He breathed a sigh of relief when doctor said that you are out of danger and that was the moment he realised, just how much you ate up his mind and thoughts, till the point to make him malfunction like that. His tough facade always crumpled when it came to you.

Days passed and he soon proposed you to marriage which you gladly agreed. After getting married life was good, infact felt like heaven, being beside Fyodor every single day filled you with joy. The only thing you didn't notice was that you never once got out of that house alone as he always insisted on following you just in case any trouble occurs. You didn't notice how one by one the people who hurt you, used to simply disappear from your life. You didn't notice how much deep you had fallen in love with him, till the point that maybe one day he might ask you to shot yourself, which you would do if he wanted. Being so much intoxicated by him, maybe wasn't good, but you didn't mind. You didn't mind his killings when he had shared about his work life and ultimate goal for those to you, you just wanted him safe. You really didn't care if he was a Devil disguised as an Angel, because only you knew that deep down he really was an Angel, a Lord who portrays himself as evil in order to lead people on the right path. Though his actions might be pure evil, but you knew the reasons behind those.

His touch was like fire on your heated skin, it's just like moth being attracted to the flame and going close to it, not knowing that one day it might be the reason for its death. You were the moth and he was the flame, despite being burned by him and his cold nature sometimes, you just couldn't get away. You were fully aware of the danger this man possessed but he was too sweet to get away from. He was like a drug to you, a drug which might harm you but feels just so good that you can never let go until you die. What can you do but just recieve love as he showered you with it, he never once hurted you or so he thought, but for him you were that flame for which he would sacrifice his everything, even himself. And who are you to deny the love of the Devil, when he was so sweet to you?

When one day he said that this might be the last time you see him, if he died, losing to Dazai, you broke down crying saying that, "Kill me first, it's better than seeing you die." To which he chuckled softly and pulled you close, patting your head, "Do you trust me?" Ofcourse you did, it was out of question but you still nodded. "Then till I come back, don't leave this house, don't believe if people tell you I died, I'll return back to you, I promise." Saying this he left, months passed which felt like millenniums, all these days you were alone, you felt empty inside still worried about him, but as he returned home, just as promised, though a bit injured, you hugged him tight never wanting to let go as he smiled down upon you.

This was your love, the love that you yearned for, just you didn't know that you will get it from such a dangerous man, but who are you to complain, when you will be cherishing it forever, just like he cherishes you.

He’d walked away from her, angry and anguished, but he hadn’t left the cabin. He wasn’t going far, not after the attack. He’d stayed around, making sure they were safe inside, making sure she felt OK, making her tea, getting her blankets, but he was quiet and contemplative, silently agonizing over their conversation, a desperation, a wordless indignation at what she’d revealed to him about her deal with Elijah. And when they’d gotten into bed, Stefan lying on his side, facing away from her, Elena staring up at the ceiling, she lay next to him for exactly five minutes before shaking her head and sighing.

“I can’t go to sleep like this,” she said. “With you angry at me. I--” She turned so she could face him, though all she saw was his back. “Stefan, please try to under---” 

He’d rolled over and kissed her with an earnestness that moved her to immediately put her arms around his neck.

“So you should tell me, how does that feel? Do you think it’s worse?”

Well, we've spoken about how my SEx scenes are underrated in this fic because of Steferine but it's really fun to show the difference between the two of them and I think this might be one of my favourite SEx scenes I've written. This entire fic was me being like I've written dozens of sex scenes for SE and for SK, how am I going to do these ones differently?

everytime i talk to my prison phd friend i learn the most fascinating and horrifying things about prison and criminalization.

i absolutely cannot share the gossip i heard last night, but she was in town recently and i got the low down on philly's Eastern State Penitentiary, an important historic prison. the long and short of it is that it was the most expensive, utopian architecture panopticon prison whose ideals were reformist and noble and whose execution was extremely deadly and horrible.

first of all, they do haunted houses here which you should never go on because it is morally bankrupt to participate in prison site entertainment, and there's also an insane amount of lead paint and other hazards. like the regular tour guides are not working in safe conditions. don't touch anything. don't get your halloween spooky hard on at a site of mass torture and murder.

with that out of the way, look at this blueprint. the guard post is in the center, which allows them to look down any block and see everything. panopticon shit. you can also see that every cell has an individual courtyard.

this was the ideal design. in the ideal system, a prisoner would be brought in through the entry hall, meet the warden, have a bag placed over their head and be brought to their cell, after which point the only people they would see during their sentence was a daily visit from the warden and weekly visit by a doctor and a priest. they were also expected to never speak.

so you have your cell, an attached courtyard you can use anytime to go outside (and garden in or keep pets if you wanted), a manual labor task, and a lot of social isolation. the idea was to create an environment where the prisoner could contemplate their crimes and be penitent. (hence, penitentiary.) the prevalent idea at the time was that crime was a social contagion, so prisoners who socialized together might spread it amongst themselves. but here, there's just ample opportunity for self reflection. you weren't allowed to speak as to not disturb the other prisoners' reform.

they put hoods on the prisoners during transfers *and* anonymised their names in records so that no one on the outside would know they had been to prison and attach stigma to them.

so the idea was honestly very dope, especially compared to the Alburn/New York system.

however, the masterminds behind this system did not know that social isolation is deadly to humans. which led to some other prisons adapting *part* of the system to extremely lethal results.

but that wasn't totally the problem with this prison. while the ideal system had goodish intentions, its actual implementation was very different. prisoners were not socially isolated to that degree (good!) and were punished and tortured by guards and counselors (very very bad!). you can see the degradation of the original plan through the architecture over the years.

theres honestly so much that is fascinating here, even just in the architecture. they built the halls to feel like churches! the cells were supposed to have one skylight because "god was always watching"! they used mirrors to surveil the various angles and corridors! the cell doors might have been so small because they wanted prisoners to bow before entering and exiting! fascinating stuff.

there's a ton of history here and if you have the chance you should take the tour. just don't touch anything. because of the lead.

“Good luck, B” you said hugging him, your arms wrapping his figure like you did everytime.

“Thank you” he kissed the top of your head.

When you looked up he leanned down to kiss you. When you pulled apart he noticed how you left your eyes open during the kiss. And that hurt him.

“Do you still love me?” He asked out of nowhere on a saturday night just as he was about to leave the backstage room for a concert.

“What do you mean?” You asked confused. You were pretty sure he knew how much you loved him because you were always showing him.

“It is a simply yes or no question, Y/N”

“ Yeah I know, but I don’t uderstand why are you asking me that”

“Your answer explains everything” he looked down sarcastically smiling.

“That question came out of nowhere, Brad. Why are you doing this right now?”

“Because i need to know” he looked at you. His eyes were dark. He had a serious expression.

“Wh-“ you wanted to know more about where this conversarion led but someone interrupted.

“Guys, 10 seconds to come up on stage”

“We’ll talk later. Or not. I don’t know anymore.”he turned around and left you.

This was probably the worst thing he could do to you. Leaving you at least 4 hours overthinking about you and your relation. He know how anxious you would get but at this point he couldnt care less.

Everyone went up on the stage and you stood there in the dressing room with the famillies. James stood behind resting, because his voice condition, he noticed the interaction between you and his bandmate. You looked at him and he gave you a pitty look, he was trying so hard to not say anything.

Instead you gave him a reasuring smile and he gentle caressed your back.

Every song he sang that night made him think of you and every time he closed his eyes your eyes were looking straight into his. It was consuming him.

“Thank you Birminghan, that was a crazy show” you heard him say and the venue went crazy.

He looked at them and saw happiness. He remembered when he felt that way.

It was a long time.

He started to notice when you stopped waiting for him on the driveway when he came from work. You used to jump on his arms and hug him tight.

But not anymore.

There were a few times when you refused to go with him to red carpet events, dinner parties amd eventually casual dates.

You stopped waiting for him at the airport arrivals gate when he was away touring.

But when you stopped kissing him goodnight before bed thats when he noticed it.

He had lost you.

The whole ride from the venue to the hotel was silent. The tension between you and him could be cut with a knife. You were pretty sure the uber driver was looking at you through the mirror and wondering why you two didn’t talk.

“When did you stop loving me?” He asked closing the bedroom door.

“Brad we don’t have to do this right now, you need to rest” you said grabbing your things all over the room.

“See? You don’t even deny it!” He sat on the bed defeated.

“I do love you” you stopped what you were doing and looked at him.

“Fuck, I know that I’m never going to stop loving you.” You said.

For a split second his eyes filled with hope.

“So don’t “ he desperately said.

“But I can’t love you the same” you continue and his heart dropped. You sat beside him on the bed. Your knees touching.

“Brad, im tired to be always waiting. I cant live my life feeling that im always waiting for something. I can count on my fingers the amount of times I woke up in the morning and you were there smiling at me and ready to holding me tight…”

“I try to be present…”

“I know babe, it’s not your fault. You can’t compromise your job. Its what you do and you’re pretty fucking good at it.” You tried to make him smile and bumped his shoulder playfully. He lose a little but not enought.

“But I deserve to be happy too. Not spend my life waiting for you. Counting the days I’ll get to see you.”

“We’re going to find a way. I know we will. Just please don’t leave me” he said looking at you and grabbing your hands gently. His eyes were looking straight into yours.

“We tried already, darling” you said. Your hand caressed his face and he closed his eyes feling your touch.

“I can’t be that jealous with myself. And I know you’ll understand” you continued.

“i know that you’ll let go because you really love me” your hand traveled down and touched his chest right were his heart was.

“I can’t let you go, i love you” he said. You noticed his eyes filling with water. And you were breaking too.

“Brad, you’re incredible without me. You just need to wait to see.”

He was listening you quietly. Few Tears were silently falling of his eyes and you cleaned them with your hands.

“She will be amazing and she’ll love you a lot, because its impossible not to”
