he says i hate everyone except you and that is addictive and that is kind of romantic and beautiful because you're young and you're kind of a sarcastic asshole too and you don't like bad boys, per say, but you don't really like good ones either. and you like that you were the exception, it felt like winning.

except life is not a romance book, and he was kind of being honest. he doesn't learn to be nice to your friends. he only tolerates your family. you have to beg him to come with you to birthday parties, he complains the whole time. you want to go on a date but - people are often there, wherever you're going. he's just so angry. about everything, is the thing. in the romance book, doesn't he eventually soften? can't you teach him, through your own sense of whimsy and comfort?

at first - you know introverts often need smaller friend groups, and honestly, you're fine staying at home too. you like the small, tidy life you occupy. you're not going to punish him for his personality type.

except: he really does hate everyone but you. which means he doesn't get along with his therapist. which means he has no one to talk to except for you. which means you take care of him constantly, since he otherwise has no one. which means you sometimes have to apologize for him. which means he keeps you home from seeing your friends because he hates them. you're the single exception.

about a decade from this experience, you'll type into google: how to know if a relationship is codependent.

Died April 8th, 1988 (age 66), in Martinez, California

Joe Ramirez enlisted in September 1942 (age 20) in San Francisco, CA, and he trained with Easy Company at Toccoa. Holding the rank of Private, he served in Normandy, Holland, and Bastogne. He was hospitalized in January 1945, and discharged in July 1945. After the war, he was married for many years, and had children and grandchildren. When he passed away he was buried with his wife, who had passed away 11 years earlier. Further information about him is scarce, but the brief character profile in the Band of Brothers series bible describes him as Mexican-American, and his personality as "sensitive and nervous."

so it's the start of AvA part 7 and Chosen and Dark are talking, right? and the former has this vision of terrible things happening if they don't stop the latter, right here and now.

they see the ViraBots descending on the last remnants of stick kind with Dark as their leader (or Lord if you will. ha ha) and i, trusting viewer, took their assessment as reliable*. we JUST saw Dark getting uncomfortably violent in earlier scenes after all

unless Chosen has demonstrable prophetic powers (like how Orange has** in the past seen things currently happening (horizontally-prophetic let's call it: seeing faraway in the current time) (there's probably a better word for this but let's move on)), how did they know this was definitely what Dark was leading up to?

the ONLY time we've seen them stop to think things through is actually just a terrified anxiety breakdown while they stand there, frozen, imagining the worst, until they snap out of it JUST in time to impact their reality.

but with no time left for debate. reasoning. they assumed Dark was beyond reasoning from the moment he showed off what his device could do............. because they were beyond reasoning out of fear.

forgive me if you've been asked this before or if its annoying, but how did you learn to use colored pencils like that? your art is so special to me.

ty :) I took an art class for a few years where our teacher had us buy prismacolor pencils as one of the art supplies and had us use them kinda like paints, pressing down hard right away and blending the colors together. its not how youre supposed to use them she was just trying to teach us to use color and ig this was more to the point. I picked them up again years after i stopped going to that class just bc they were there and i wanted to play around w them a bit and ended up actually enjoying it when doing it on my own terms lol

when toshiro got on laios ass for being inconsiderate and never thinking about how his actions affect others like he was mean abt it but hes not wrong. Thats a pretty major character flaw and a pattern of behavior for laios — w not choosing jobs that made money for namari who is in a pretty dire financial situation where she cant even get off the island and has to go adventuring in the dungeon to get out of debt, who even explicitly brought this up, eating marcilles familiar immediately even tho she was attached to it, kidnapping shuro into his party and putting him in life threatening situations without like really checking he wanted to be there…?, wanting to see if izutsumi has more than one set of nipples when dehumanization is a HUGE huge issue for her the list goes on and on and on. Like when a friend does this to you its just kinda annoying but when ur the leader u really should be checking if everyones needs r met without them telling u. Like the autism plays a factor for sure, his cultural upbringing plays a factor for sure, but as ppl regardless I think u gotta step up to meet the needs of ppl in the moment or realize u shouldnt be calling the shots. just bc its influenced by factors out of ur control does not make it not a serious character flaw. And its written as such in the story.

A little drabble inspired by this ask by @lex752. Basically, similar to the goddess Kali, reader is going on some sort of a rampage, something possessing them (or however you want to interpret it). Cue Jamil having no other choice but to take on the role of Shiva and get trampled. 🙃 Established relationship, violence, blood and injuries, whump & angst. Gore / injuries mostly implied. (I’m not an angst writer and I don't like gore, I say, and then this thought comes and demands to be written out.)

There you were. His qalbi, his heart, wreaking havoc. 

Hurting people. 

Jamil knew achingly well that you would want to be stopped, that it would hurt you to learn of what you'd done.

Had this been anyone else but you, he could have turned away, kept himself safe. Sought out other options.

“Qalbi,” Jamil called out, stepping closer. 

His heart was constricted so tight in his chest, his mind working overdrive to think of something, anything.

Yet Jamil was painfully aware that there was no force he possessed that could stop you right now. Snake Whisper had not found any purchase with you in this state, and the rest of his magic had not fared much better.

Yet it was not the mindlessness of the overblots. You were still there, Jamil could see it plainly despite the violence your usual self was so incapable of.

So, out of bad options, Jamil had to choose the least bad one.

“Hayati.” My life. “Listen to me.”

All those sweet words and pet names, meant for softness and warmth and not this scene of carnage. Meant for when your hands soothed and caressed, not when they destroyed and ripped.

Or maybe they were needed now more than ever before.

“Ya ruhi.” My soulmate.

Jamil stumbled when you struck him. 

How warm his blood was, spilling on his skin.

Jamil could only hope that the hurt on his body would not hurt you too much, later. 

And that he was not making the biggest mistake of his life right now.

Jamil fell at your feet - all a part of his plan, he told himself, even as his legs gave up under him from your onslaught. 

He gasped a breath, his body tense, anticipating the next strike.

Another breath. 

Another.

And a hitched breath from you when you fell to your knees beside him.

Was it blood, or tears, that Jamil felt dripping down on him? The way your touch lingered on him, sticky with the scent of iron…

“There you are,” Jamil mumbled through his cut lips, having trouble focusing on your face.

It was alright. He’d done it.

He had time to be upset later.

He faintly heard your sobs, the sound of rushing blood in his ears drowning out everything else.

A little worried this may have ended up ooc but the concept would not leave me alone so here we are. I promise to make up for any potential emotional damage with some fluff in the future.
