you appear to draw isaac and gerard as being very physically close. cuddly even (:3c), and i want to learn more about this specific aspect because its so cute.. were they always like that? did they have to build up a lot of trust in each other first? how do they see and engage with touch? are/were they ever touch starved?

First of all, thanks for the question! <3

In Gerard's case he used to touch Isaac's hands for example or shoulders to basically indicate he was safe with him and also try to communicate he wanted something more than a friendship with him when they were starting to know each other. I feel like even tho Gerard doesn't consider he's romantic himself in a traditional way i feel he actually is-- (Like when Susana Gimenez asked Charly Garcia if he was romantic and he said yes and Susana asked him "really? You like a dinner, with roses and candles??" And he said "i said im romantic, not stupid" lmao) He calls bitch pet names and cute things even tho she's always abusive towards him, he still tries, so imagine how much freedom could he have with someone like Isaac, a guy that has an anxious attachedment style. I feel he is the way he is in the game as a way of self defense, a way for him to cope with all the shit he has to go through all the time xD so he can't show much emotion or tries to hide it with humor, but in Isaac's world, this paradise isn't so bad, it's more,,, realistic. He doesn't have the constant need to hide his needs in a relationship like he used to (Well, only in private since ... its the 90s-2000s, duh). Gerard started to be more expressive with his physical touch towards Isaac as went time on, cuz of isaac's delusions of people being infected or sinful (this last one mostly because of his alters, for example, Demon) and also so Isaac could have time to process his own feelings, being someone who tries/tried to be a devoted christian this relationship felt wrong in all senses, it took him some time to accept he indeed liked him. Isaac isn't someone who would be nagging you on the streets is he saw you in, for example, a gay relationship, he's ignorant mostly, he doesn't have evil intentions (he also uses this ignorant/innocent view as a way to cope with his own emotions towards man).

While in Isaac's case, once he accepted it/half accepted it started to do your typical couple stuff, only in private, he gets mad when Gerard holds his hand on public and even tho this bothers Gerard a little bit he just can't complain, he understands but also well... his wife was much worst than this. Isaac feels safe cuddling with him, he feels like nothing wrong can happend when he's around (even tho Gerard's bad luck follows him everywhere lol), sometimes when he's having strong episodes because of his delusion it feels like he and him are the only non infected. Isaac has BPD so touch and words mean a lot to him even tho he isn't the best showing his love in a conventional way + he's non verbal for most of the time, it's like they both have two different types of autism lol

I think that's all i have to say about this at least for now, i'm still working on the ship but these types of questions really help me to understand and think of ways to improve it, thanks a lot for the question once again, i'm glad people are interested in knowing about my au/ship.

— When they first start getting to know each other, (outside the games) all Sang-Woo can do is buy Hyun-ju gifts with a quiet nod of the head when he gives them to her. It’s not him wanting to be the rich one showing off, or the powerful one of the two, he just doesn't know how else to show his affection yet. Its how he tries to woo her, but Hyun-ju ends up telling him she doesn't need the gifts or anything to spend time with him! She just wants to be with him

Valentino with memory issues from all the years of hard drugs. He forgets where he left his phone, why he summoned his assistant, what he likes to order at restaurants. When he forgets, he gets frustrated and lashes out.

So Angel keeps track of things for him. He makes a mental note of where Val puts his keys and remembers his favorite foods. In peaceful times, he does it out of love, to dispel the lost expression on Val’s face. When things are bad, he does it to avoid Val's temper tantrums.

But he walks a tightrope. If he’s too forward with his help, Val will take offense and lash out. So Angel flirts and flatters and makes Val think everything is his idea.

“I'm hungry,” Angel pouts cutely, because he’s noticed that Val hasn't eaten in hours and he always gets cranky when he's hungry. “Take me to that place I like?” It’s actually the place that Val likes, but this way he gets to feel like he's spoiling Angel. The strategy has worked well in the past. Valentino likes to feel magnanimous- as long as Angel is properly grateful, of course.

Val can't find his keys, so Angel surreptitiously sweeps them up from where he saw Val toss them earlier. He drops them onto the couch cushion nearby when Val is looking away. When he looks back, even with his poor eyesight, Val spots the keys. Crisis averted.

They get to the restaurant and slide into the booth. “Want me to read ya the menu?” Angel asks, and he knows it's a mistake when Val’s eyes narrow. He’s about to say that he can read the fucking menu himself, he's not blind, but Angel thinks fast.

He tilts his head and frowns down at the menu. “Hang on. Is this thing in French or somethin’? I can't read none of this.”

Val relaxes. “You're so stupid,” he says affectionately. “It's a good thing you're pretty.”

The menu is in Spanish, not French, and Angel knows it. But he mispronounces half the words as he reads them aloud so that Val can chuckle and correct him each time.

Val orders fajitas, so Angel gets the enchiladas that Val likes. When the order arrives, Angel takes a bite and moans with pleasure. “Soooo good. Try this, daddy.” He feeds Val a bite from his fork, and Val brightens immediately.

He tells Angel that it's just the way his grandma used to make them- a thing he's told Angel a dozen times already, but Angel doesn't remind him of that. He lets Val eat his food while he picks at Val’s abandoned fajitas.

They drink margaritas and cuddle in the booth, making fun of the waitress, gossiping about which of the restaurant’s other customers are hot enough to feature in Val’s movies.

Angel prides himself on being able to handle Valentino. He senses the slightest shifts in his moods, defuses his anger before it flares. This time, Angel navigated safely through the storm. Now he gets to enjoy Valentino at his flamboyant, affectionate best.

On days like this, it's easy to dismiss the days that didn't go well. When Angel missed a signal or failed to suppress an eyeroll, or snapped an “I know,” after Val told him the same anecdote for the hundredth time, only realizing his mistake when Val yanked him off his feet.

When Angel lets himself be flattered by the pet names that Val murmurs into his ear, when he bites his lip when Val gets handsy with him under the table, when the bad days are the farthest thing from his mind…Angel has to wonder which one of them actually has a bad memory.

honestly i think the discussions about disco elysium are pretty well-rounded as long as you're looking in the right places. i've posted my fair share of analysis on various subjects and i think all the main themes of the game have gotten coverage, but i definitely would like to see dora talked about a little more-- for how important she is, i feel i don't see a lot of serious posts about her

as for less often? idk, fandoms are fandoms and i'm not gonna poke that particular sleeping bear, but suffice it to say that i've never had a lot of interest in shipping, so there's a lot of fan content that just isn't up my alley

So you know that running joke on the Argo II about how Percy eats so much and from everyone else's POV it's seen as quirky or unusual? It's quite possible that his open enthusiasm about food is weird to the others because he's actually the only one who's normal/healthy abt food.

Think about it. Leo's been through food insecurity and he may have issues with it because of the way his body looks. He's also a workaholic and generally probably doesn't really have a very good sense of when or what he needs to eat to feel better. Annabeth might be similar, not being able to sense her hunger cues very well because of Trauma (TM) and the way she gets sucked into her hyperfixations.

Piper and Frank might both be conscious about their weight, Piper because of bullying and her Hollywood environment and Frank because he's always been so big naturally and his grandmother probably verbally abused the hell out of him for his weight.

I think Jason skips meals as a form of self-punishment if he doesn't feel like he's earned it. He also wants to make sure everyone else on his team has had what they want to eat before he gets to have any.

Hazel straight up lived in the depression, so food was probably rationed. She was also a girl in the 40s and body shaming was on a whole other level of ridiculous back then so I can't blame her for feeling like she needs to restrict for a few reasons.

And then there's Percy, whose mother did the best she could to make sure her son had a healthy relationship with eating and food. She didn't always have money, but she showed her love through food and treats as much as she could and together they created their blue food tradition. This means that Percy now is excited about food and can probably better measure his hunger cues than anyone else on that ship. This is a good thing not only for him, but if he shows confidence in the way he eats what he likes until he's satisfied and stops when he's full, it might give his friends social cues that they're allowed to eat like he does.

Percy, of course, would be happy to know he's helping them...but right now, he's too excited about those pancakes.
