On that same night, Sunghoon didn't stop touching you for one second, as if he had to make up for the lost time. He was all over you, holding your waist as you walked back to the car while laughing like teenagers, and keeping his hand wrapped around yours while he drove home. His fingers never left yours, not even when he needed to shift gears. You walked into your home, and Sunghoon immediately got down on one knee and undid your high heels, being careful not to hurt you. His hands lingered on your heels after he was done, and he lowered his face to place romantic kisses along your legs, eyes permanently fixed on yours.
In the midst of giggles and the intense heat engulfing your body, you pushed him away, unable to calm your frantic heart as he gazed at you with his pleading eyes. With a mischievous smile, you ran ahead of him, darting toward your bedroom. When he finally caught you, Sunghoon gave you a long, lingering kiss before going to his own bedroom to shower. After you both finished, the usual routine of hanging out in the living room continued, except Sunghoon was feeling a little more brave this time.
When you sat in front of him, dressed in your usual bedtime clothes, Sunghoon’s curious fingers traced invisible patterns on your thighs. As the faint sounds of the TV echoed through the tranquil living room, your husband's lips never left yours, eager and desperate for your kiss. You tasted dangerously addicting, and he mourned not kissing you earlier.
The next two weeks passed by inexplicably fast. Sunghoon was busy with work and had to stop coming home for lunch, but despite that, he always tried to come home early to eat dinner with you. You could tell he was home when his arms wrapped around your waist and his head rested on your shoulder while you were making food. When he noticed you were done, he’d turn you around and press his lips to yours, savoring every second of it.
Though it's a new side of him, you love his clinginess. Sunghoon’s constant need to touch you and be near you reassures you of his feelings, bringing you comfort and safety. You've been touchier with him too, though more subtly. Your hands lingered on his while he spoke, and you pressed your body against his at every chance you got, occasionally rubbing your ass against his pelvis to tease him.
Aside from the teasing and the near-daily make-out sessions when you were supposed to be watching the basketball match, Sunghoon never made any intimate moves on you. Though your desire for him grows stronger each day, you let him take his time, letting him decide how far he wants to go each time.
Today is Friday, and Sunghoon came home at the same time as usual. You ate slowly while talking about his day. The company has been a mess ever since his father went to the hospital, so he has to keep an eye on everything. You listen carefully to all his frustrations, his raspy voice making goosebumps appear on your skin. He could talk for hours, and you would sit in silence, listening. That's how much you love his voice.
After eating and helping with the dishes, you both parted ways to have a quick shower and change into comfy clothes, the living room waiting for you. Moments after you stepped out of the foggy bathroom, you realized how dark the weather had suddenly turned, with heavy black clouds painting the sky. Your eyes then shifted to Sunghoon, who was lying down on the sofa, taking up all the space.
“Where am I supposed to sit, Mr. Giant?” you joked while stepping inside the enormous room, the soft sound of your slippers making Sunghoon lift his head and pat the spot right under his head.
“I'm not that big,” he complained as you stepped closer, a smile tugging at the corners of your lips.
“Sunghoon, your feet are dangling off the edge of the couch,” you said, arching an eyebrow but cracking a smile at his cute expression.
Your husband didn't say anything else; he simply closed his eyes and shook his head. Then he shifted to give you space to sit down so he could lay his head on your thighs. The smell of your sweet body wash enveloped him, and he let out a satisfied breath, loving the comfort it always brought him. Your hands reached for the remote to turn on the TV, but Sunghoon didn't let you; he slid it further away from you.
“What are you doing?” you ask, arching an eyebrow.
“I want to talk,” Hoon says in a low voice, his tender brown eyes staring into yours intensely. You nod and smile down at him, your hand sneaking into his hair to caress the soft black strands. “There's something I haven't told you about Jiwon,” he starts, his eyes scanning your face.
“You don't have to, baby,” you respond sweetly. Sunghoon felt his heart skip a beat at the cute nickname, still not used to it.
“I know… but I want to tell you.”
“Then go ahead; I'm all ears.” You offered him another caring smile, hoping to ease the nervousness so evident on his face.
“There was something she did that finally gave me the courage to leave her.” He pauses, trying to steady his breathing. “She installed hidden cameras all over my dad’s old house. She said it was to keep an eye on me, to make sure I didn't bring anyone home or do anything to provoke her. They were everywhere except in my dad’s office and the shared bathroom. My dad was quiet the whole time she abused me, but when he found out about the cameras, he kicked both of us out of the house.”
Your mouth opens in surprise, but no words come out. A lump seems to form in your throat, making it impossible to speak. Your hands tremble as they continue to caress Sunghoon’s hair, an electric pain burning deep in your chest like wildfire.
“She had cameras in our bedroom, living room, kitchen, and bathroom. And she watched it all day like a movie on her phone.” Your eyes scan the room, avoiding Sunghoon's gaze to stop the tears from falling, frustration building with every passing second.
Just when you thought she couldn't get any worse, your husband confesses something even more unsettling.
“I found out because one day she forgot to lock her phone when she went to the bathroom. I passed by the kitchen and noticed something strange on her screen. Turns out, she was watching me work in my office.”
An uncomfortable silence fills the room; the sound of the harsh rain hitting the window with no mercy turns loud and uncanny. You want to say something, but no words seem enough to express what you're feeling. This man has been so mistreated all his life; no wonder he was cold and distant at the beginning. The tall walls he built around his heart were only to protect himself further.
With a melancholic frown, your fingers hover over his handsome face, tracing his features slowly. Your fingertips tap his delicate moles and his lush lips. You need him to understand what you feel through your actions because words would never be as intimate or precise.
With your caring touch on his face, Sunghoon closes his eyes and relaxes against you, his breathing slowly returning to normal. The rain falls mercilessly from the sky, heavy gray clouds painting the atmosphere in dark hues.
Silent tears start to stream down your cheeks, while your gaze remains fixed on the large window, watching the storm unravel before your eyes. Your knuckles turn white as you tightly grip your navy-colored pajama shirt, trying your best not to make a sound.
Sunghoon remains with a peaceful expression against your thighs. As your gaze wanders to him, you close your eyes, trying to ease the ache in your heart as his last secret echoes in your mind.
Your husband shifts lightly beneath you, drawing your attention. You open your eyes only to find him gazing up at you with twinkling eyes. His caring gaze travels across your face as if trying to understand why tears brim in your eyes. Your hands slowly reach for his head again, your fingers softly caressing his scalp.
“Why are you crying?” Sunghoon asked kindly, his deep brown eyes fixed on the warm tears that ran down your face.
As he reached out to wipe them away with his fingers, you smiled faintly and shifted your gaze to your hands.
“The way you’ve been treated by the people who were supposed to take care of you—it’s just so fucking unfair,” you murmured anxiously, unable to contain your feelings anymore. Sunghoon tilted his head slightly, caught off guard by your words. It was the first time he had heard you curse.
The two of you sat in silence for several moments, gazing into each other’s eyes as the rain outside began to ease, much like the storm in your heart. Your hand remained in your husband’s hair as his gaze lingered on you.
Sunghoon found himself lost in your gorgeous eyes, framed perfectly by long, elegant lashes. His thoughts drifted to all the times you had cared for him without his notice. He remembered the confusion he felt when you invited him to sit beside you on the sofa, telling him he didn’t have to speak—just stay.
“I really want to kiss you right now,” he confessed in a low voice, interrupting the stillness that had settled and changing the subject.
Your eyes widened, and your cheeks flushed, caught completely off guard by his words. You suppressed a laugh, glancing away as anticipation fluttered in your chest.
“Sunghoon...” you whispered breathlessly, weakened by his seductive ways.
Your hand trembled slightly as you pulled it away from his dark locks. Your eyes wandered across the large living room, avoiding his gaze. The way Sunghoon’s eyes stared into yours today felt slightly different from usual; his iris seemed darker, and it made your stomach turn in anticipation of his next move.
Sunghoon suddenly sat up and moved beside you, his broad shoulders casting a shadow over you. His dark eyes searched your face and found that your cheeks had turned red, and a timid smile grew on your lips. He loved the way you melted into him so fast.
Slowly, he reached for your face, gently tilting your chin upward. His heart pounded as your pleading gaze locked with his.
“Can I kiss you, Y/N?” Sunghoon asked, his voice soft yet firm.
You couldn't hide it anymore. You wanted him as much as he wanted you. So, with your eyes closed and you're breathing unsteady, you responded:
“Yes, please, Hoon.”
Your husband didn’t waste any more time; he had already lost too much. He leaned in and pressed his lips to yours in a much-desired kiss. Butterflies spread across your chest and stomach as you felt the soothing touch of his lips. Your hands instinctively traveled to his shoulders, your fingers curling and tugging at his hair, driving Sunghoon to the brink of madness.
Besides being an amazing cook and wife, you were also amazing at kissing. Your lips molded against his as if they were made for him. Sunghoon felt like he was losing his mind when you pulled away to catch your breath, your timid eyes meeting his as you tried to steady yourself. Your lips glistened under the faint light of the tall lamp near the couch.
Sunghoon was certain you were the most beautiful woman he had ever laid eyes on. Your sweet love won him over like a child deprived of sugar.
A sudden wave of boldness hit you. Your small, naughty hands went to rest on your husband’s legs, causing his face to quickly turn toward you. He arched his eyebrow and stared at you:
“Can you kiss me again?” you asked in a hesitant voice, craving the addictive warmth of his mouth once more.
A crack of thunder echoed through the room, filling the silence left by your words. Who was he to deny an angel with such need and love in her voice?
Once again, his right hand reached for your chin as he leaned in. Within seconds, his plump lips were on yours again. Sunghoon tilted his body toward you, wrapping a secure arm around your waist and pulling you flush against his chest so you could settle on his lap. The position wasn't new to you, but the way his grip felt desperate caused a surprised moan to escape your lips. Sunghoon seized the moment to slide his tongue into your mouth, initiating a playful yet passionate battle with yours.
Your body was no longer just warm; it was hot, melting under Sunghoon’s hungry lips and tight grip. He seemed to notice, as a sly smirk formed against your mouth while you kissed. Feeling your chest call for oxygen, you pulled away, completely out of breath.
You meticulously studied Sunghoon’s face before meeting his eyes, ensuring he was comfortable with what had just happened. He looked proud and satisfied. Eventually, the arms around your waist were gone, and he traded them for something else. His large hands held onto your waist, fingers dipping into the plush skin.
“I don't want to stop.” Sunghoon whispered against your lips, his breath fanning over your wet edges. He turned his head to the side slightly to kiss the corner of your mouth, eyes locked on yours, waiting for an answer.
“Then don't.” You responded securely, letting your head fall backward so he could access your neck freely.
Sunghoon smirked at your bold words and lowered his head to your slender neck, his lips warm as they came into contact with the skin. Goosebumps appeared on your flesh as he smoothed it, the feeling of need growing unbearably inside you, making your core throb. Your breathing became heavy, your chest rising and falling rapidly as he started to nibble at your skin, leaving faint bite marks with his attractive fangs.
Then you felt his hands disappear inside your baggy shirt. His curious fingers meet your lower back, and then he slides his hands upwards, feeling your smooth skin. He expected to feel a barrier where your bra should be, but he was only met with flesh. You bite your lip when you feel the tips of his fingers sneak a light touch just below the curve of your breast, testingly.
“You're not wearing anything underneath...” Sunghoon whispers more to himself in disbelief. He lifts his head from your neck just to take a look at your face. You slowly open your eyes and find his dark brown iris staring into your soul.
Your lips smirk at him, and then your hand finds his. Under your shirt, you guide them towards your breast and leave them there. Your heart is beating so fast you are sure Sunghoon could feel it. Completely drunk in love and aroused, he chases after your lips again, needing to feel your moan against his lips.
Sunghoon’s hand expertly massages your breasts as his mouth distracts you with an intense, hungry kiss, teeth occasionally grazing, but it doesn't matter. Your shirt rises as his eager hands sneak inside your shirt further, fingers expertly pulling at your sensitive nipples. Unable to focus on his lips, you pull away, letting your edges part as low moans escape.
“Let's go to my bedroom.” You whisper out of breath, opening your eyes to look at Sunghoon, but he just pulls his shirt over his head and smiles.
“But I want to do it… here.” He smirks, now reaching for your shirt to take it off too. As the cloth is thrown away from sight, Sunghoon slowly lays you flat against the couch cushions.
You opened your mouth to articulate something back, like how he needed to be careful to not stain the sofa, but your words were stolen from your mouth when you felt your husband’s burning lips wrap around your abused nipples. Unlike his usual clean and collected self, Sunghoon wasn't afraid to be dirty; saliva dripped from his mouth as he messily sucked your skin, his own moans being muffed by your breasts.
As he shifts the other boob, your back arches, and a loud moan of his name leaves your lips, your hips gaining a life of their own and starting to grind against his. The feeling of the evident tent in his pants makes you wetter, your impatience growing from frustration.
Sunghoon’s head leaves your chest for a few seconds so he can stare into your fucked-out face, all flushed and warm. You look so pretty and so needy for him. With his eyes still fixated on yours, his mouth slowly lowers into your flesh, smooching your lower stomach with open kisses, just above where you needed him the most.
The morning after feels like a dream—hazy and cozy. You wake up to the soft clarity filling the room, the sunlight streaming through the window, and wrapping your safe space in warmth. You yawn lazily and push yourself up on your elbows, your eyes lingering on Sunghoon as he sleeps.
His face is peaceful, his lips slightly pouted, and his chest rises and falls with each steady breath. With a content sigh, you rest your head back on the pillow, memories of the night before playing behind your eyes like scenes from a romantic movie.
Sunghoon had a strong grip on your body, possessive even, contradicting his eyes that were full of peaceful passion. His fingers dipped into your skin so harshly that you had marks from his nails on your waist and thighs. If you closed your eyes, you could still hear his needy moans, so desperate and hungry for you. For a reserved man, he sure wasn't as reserved when it came to pleasure. You would never guess he was this dirty, this starved, and eager. The way he licked his fingers after making you cum on them made your head spin.
“Good morning, princess,” Sunghoon says unexpectedly, his tender eyes searching for yours, interrupting your impure thoughts.
“Good morning, Hoon. Did you sleep well?” you ask with a smile, turning to your side to glance at him.
“Of course I did; I was with you,” he says with a smirk on his lips.
You giggle at his flirtation and let your body be pulled against his, craving the warmth of his skin. Sunghoon grins and kisses your scalp, his arms holding you tightly against him. Your head rests on his chest, listening to the calm rhythm of his heartbeat. A comfortable silence fills the space, and you slowly begin to doze off in his embrace, the safety it brings making you feel sleepy.
But a sudden ringing jolts you awake. You glance up at your husband, but he doesn’t move an inch.
“I’m not going to answer that,” Sunghoon assures you, eyes still closed. You smile at his words, but an unsettling feeling stirs inside you.
“Maybe you should,” you reply, your heart suddenly racing from the discomfort.
Hoon notices the shift in your mood and gives you a worried look.
He slowly sits up on the mattress, reaching for his noisy phone. You follow his movements and sit up, adjusting yourself comfortably. His shirt rises as you settle, and his cologne lingers, still present despite last night’s activities.
You watch his face turn pale as he reads the caller ID. When you lean in to check for yourself, a knot forms in your throat, your skin prickling with rage.
“Yes, Jiwon, what’s wrong?” Sunghoon asks, his voice uneasy as he picks up the phone. “What? Now?” He pulls the phone away from his ear for a few seconds, staring at the screen. “Sure… I just woke up. Yeah. Give me ten minutes.” And with that, he hangs up.
You watch his face meticulously, waiting for an explanation, but Sunghoon remains silent. His eyes are wide in shock, not quite believing what’s happening.
“What’s wrong?” you ask, concerned.
“She’s here,” he says, his gaze shifting to yours. “And she said she brought lunch to eat with us…”
“What?”
“Yeah, I don’t understand either. But she’s already at the door.”
The warmth in your room suddenly feels suffocating, causing your chest to feel heavy. This whole situation is bizarre, and it leaves you with an uneasy feeling. Without another word, Sunghoon gets up from the messy bed, gathers his scattered clothes from the floor, and kisses your lips briefly.
“I’ll meet you downstairs. Take the time you need,” he says tenderly, his hand cupping your jaw.
You nod and wait for him to leave the room before letting out a long breath that’s been trapped inside your chest. You don’t know what she wants or why she’s here, but it doesn’t feel right. From everything you know about her, it’s clear she’s not looking for friendship or forgiveness.
You take your time getting dressed, your mind spinning with different scenarios of what she might want from you.
With a deep inhale, you close the wooden door behind you and slowly walk down the spiral staircase, your footsteps echoing in the enormous house. As you approach the bottom of the stairs, you can already see her—a fake smile plastered on her plastic face as she sets the plates down on the table. Not knowing what to do or say, your eyes search for Sunghoon, hoping he can help.
“Jiwon, this is YN, my wife. I don’t think you’ve officially met,” he introduces you, wrapping an arm around your waist possessively.
“It’s so good to finally meet you!” Jiwon says in an overly dramatic voice, making your skin tense up.
But you don’t respond. Instead, you stroll to the fridge, grab a water bottle, and place it on the table. She watches your every move, her gaze tracking your body. Sunghoon finishes opening all the food she brought and sits down at the table, his arms tense from the uncomfortable situation.
You walk around the table to sit in front of Sunghoon, just like you always do, but Jiwon suddenly pulls the chair toward her and sits down.
“This is my seat,” she says with a vile smirk, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear as she locks eyes with you.
Despite the anger boiling inside you, you smile at her and take a deep breath, sitting next to Sunghoon instead. Your husband watches the entire exchange, his gaze fixed on you. He’s trying very hard to be nice to Jiwon, but if she continues disrespecting you, he won’t just stand by and watch.
Sunghoon reaches for your hand under the table, trying to ease the tension in both of you. Your eyes meet, and he gives you a small smile.
“So, how are you, hubby? I haven’t talked to you in months,” Jiwon queries, popping a piece of gimbap into her mouth. Her perfectly manicured nails reflected the warm sunlight streaming through the window.
“I’m great,” he replies simply, bringing a spoonful of rice to his mouth.
“Tell me more! How’s it living in a fake marriage?” Jiwon says intently, her eyes locked on yours, another plastic grin spreading across her face.
“It’s been great. YN’s a great wife. She cooks well, fucks well…” Sunghoon responds bitterly, trying to provoke her. But all that appears on her face is another fake grin.
Jiwon opens her mouth to say something but seems to hesitate, as if searching for the right words. She reaches for the water bottle and pours herself a glass, taking her time as if she were in her own home. You turn your head to the side and take a deep breath. You’re not sure how long you can stand having her in your house, acting like she owns it.
The sun shines brightly outside, casting light on the massive windows and making the house feel airy and dreamlike. As your gaze drifts around the kitchen, you wish this was all just a bad dream.
“How’s Sunghoon’s mom, YN?” Jiwon asks out of nowhere, her lips pouting as she twirls the water inside her cup.
“How would I know?” you ask, confused, not understanding where she’s going with this.
“Oh, I just thought you’d know, since you were with her a few weeks ago.”
Sunghoon turns to you when he hears her words, a confused expression crossing his face. You feel your cheeks flush under his gaze, your body betraying you.
“I—”
“Don’t try to deny it, pretty. Tell Sunghoon how close you are to his mom. He deserves to know,” Jiwon spits out, a mocking tone in her voice.
Your eyes return to Sunghoon, and you watch him slowly set down his chopsticks. His eyes are almost closed, his brows furrowed as he gives you a fierce look. Your hands start to sweat as you realize you’ve been caught.
Your eyes shift to Sunghoon, and you watch as he slowly sets down his chopsticks. His eyes are almost closed, his brows furrowed, shooting you a fierce look. Your hands start to sweat as you realize you've been discovered.
“Sunghoon, I meant to tell you this under different circumstances…” you start, your hands nervously fidgeting as you speak. “I’ve known your mother since I was a child.”
“What?”
“Remember when I told you I was alone when Ni-ki died? Well… I wasn’t exactly alone… Your mom was there with me; she was the one who stayed by my side…”
Sunghoon opens his mouth, but quickly closes it. His eyes dart to Jiwon, looking for any sign that you’re lying.
“Tell him why you were chosen to marry him,” Jiwon adds, her eyes locked with Sunghoon, trying to convince him that you’re serious.
“Sunghoon, let me explain—”
You begin, but he quickly interrupts you, anxiety taking control of his body.
“What is she talking about, YN?” Sunghoon asks, his voice faltering. His heart begins to race as you remain silent, confirming whatever point Jiwon was trying to make.
You take a deep breath and begin speaking.
“Your mom was best friends with mine when I was younger. When my mom was hurtful to me, your mom took care of me. When Ni-ki died, she was the only shoulder I had to cry on. She helped me through the grief, and when she found out about Ni-ki’s debt, you were freshly out of the relationship with Jiwon. To make sure you would still get the company, she asked me to marry you.”
You watch as tears start to form in Sunghoon’s eyes while you explain yourself, his beautiful brown eyes turning glassy right in front of you. Inside, he feels betrayed. How could you hide this from him? After everything he’s told you, after everything you’ve been through together?
Your hands reach out for his, but your husband pulls away, not wanting to touch you.
“Sunghoon, please…” you plead, your chest burning as you watch him turn his face, avoiding you.
Just when you think it can’t get worse, Jiwon smiles devilishly and speaks again, proving she has more than one card up her sleeve.
“Oh, while we’re at it! How’s your blonde stylist friend doing? Tell him his father isn’t as good as he used to be, and that I caught him stalking me.”
Your face turns pale, your hands go cold with sweat, and you close your eyes. This can’t be happening, you tell yourself. Sunghoon turns to face you again, his face as pale as yours.
“What—what are you talking about?” he asks Jiwon, eyes fixed on you.
“She made her father’s friend follow me because she was so, so, so curious about me!” she adds, her voice dripping with mockery, a smirk creeping back onto her lips.
“Wait, no. That’s not why I did it!” you say, irritated, standing up and pushing your chair back with force. You point a finger at her face as you look at Sunghoon, trying to explain yourself.
“No, I wanted to find out who was giving you all those drugs. So a friend of mine asked his dad to follow her and find out if it was her. And it was!” Your eyes harden as you speak. “She wasn’t just giving you sleeping pills, Sunghoon. They were real drugs. She has a friend who sells them to her.”
Sunghoon feels like his head is going to explode; this is too much information at once. He stands up and gently pulls your hand away from her face, then sits back down, narrowing his eyes.
“Let me see if I understand… You had someone following her?” your husband questions, then turns his face to Jiwon. “And you were giving me drugs this whole time?”
The hot air inside the kitchen feels like poison, and every breath he takes burns his lungs. So, you’ve been lying to him and following his ex, treating him like some kind of puppet you were playing with. And Jiwon, in addition to abusing him, gave him drugs?
Sunghoon wanted to be angry at Jiwon and shout at her, but he knew it would be in vain. She wasn't going to change or stop being an awful person. He also wanted to ignore everything he’d just discovered about what you did, but he felt backstabbed. As he gazes into your apologetic eyes, he can see that you’re genuinely sorry and that you never meant to hurt him. But he couldn’t help but feel ill; his heart was shattering with each passing second.
“I’m sorry I never told you any of this, but I was afraid it would scare you away.” You try to explain, tiny tears falling down your warm cheeks and dripping onto your legs, staining the denim of your pants.
Before Sunghoon could say anything, Jiwon spoke again, revealing her third card. She was practically glowing with joy that her plan was unfolding just as she’d intended.
“Aw, this is cute and all, but Sunghoon has something to tell you too!” Jiwon mocks from the other side of the table.
She stands up and circles the table, her high heels clicking mercilessly against the floor. Then she stands right by Sunghoon’s side. Jiwon takes a quick glance at Sunghoon and then smiles at you, raising her eyebrows to show you that she’s been planning this all along. You don’t even know how she found out about all of this, but you hate that she’s right.
“Come on, hubby. Tell her the truth about your marriage contract.”
You tilt your head in confusion, your hand reaching up to wipe the tears from your cheeks. Your eyes find your husband’s face, and you notice his cheeks and ears have turned dark red. You desperately try to make eye contact, but he avoids you.
A discomfiting feeling starts to spread through your body, and your breath quickens in the heavy silence.
“YN, there’s something I need to tell you—” Sunghoon starts, his voice hesitant.
“Ah, shit, you're so fucking slow!” Jiwon interrupts. “What this idiot is trying to say is that in that contract you signed, there were small letters stating that as soon as his dad passes away, he’s divorcing you and not leaving a single penny.”
Tears form in your eyes again, blurring your vision. You try to get up from your seat, but your legs feel like jelly, and you fall back into the chair. Your heart feels like it’s going to burst out of your chest, and a burning sensation rises in your throat.
“Hoon,” you call with a shaky voice.
No, that can't be true. Sunghoon would never do that to you.
The silence that settles in the sun-filled kitchen proves to you how real it all really is. Your husband turns his head away and rubs his eyes, avoiding you. You don’t know what to say or do anymore. The harsh truth leaves a sour taste in your mouth.
Slowly, you get up from your chair and walk out of the kitchen; your footsteps were the only sound echoing through the large house. But before you reach the stairs, you turn around to face Jiwon, who’s right behind you. You step toward her, your eyes locked into hers, your blood boiling under your skin.
“I hope you're happy. You’ve finally done what you wanted. He’s all yours.” Your words echo through the house, your voice stern yet quiet. Jiwon only laughs in your face, her unnatural grin making you want to puke.
“Wait, YN, let me explain—” Sunghoon finally snaps out of his trance and walks toward you. He reaches out for you, but this time you’re the one who pulls away.
“I can't talk to you right now,” you say in a low voice, tears welling in your eyes as you look at Sunghoon. “Not while she’s here.”
Those were your last words before you went upstairs to your bedroom, leaving behind Sunghoon and that evil woman who could never seem to leave him. Deep down, you wanted to go back and kiss Sunghoon in front of her, show her he’s no longer hers, but you couldn’t even look at him anymore—not after what you’d just uncovered.
Back in the kitchen, Sunghoon stands still and quiet, trying to figure out what to do with Jiwon. His head is a mess, and though he wants to run after you, he knows he has to deal with Jiwon first. She’s sitting at the table, comfortably eating the dessert she brought. As he watches her eat, he decides to finally put an end to all of this.
“Get out of my house and take that disgusting food with you,” Sunghoon says harshly, shoving all the leftover food into a plastic bag, not caring if it spills out of the containers.
“Sunghoon, hubby, she’s not good for you. She lied.” Jiwon spits out, irritated.
“Don’t call me that ever again!” he warns, pointing a finger at her. “I’m going to tell the police about what you did to me—all the domestic abuse, the cameras, the drugs. Since YN has proof of the drugs, at least I can get you thrown in jail.”
Sunghoon looks different in Jiwon’s eyes; he’s now confident and secure in himself, and she hates it. She liked him quiet and obedient, like a stupid puppy.
“But Sunghoon, she—”
“GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY HOUSE!” he yells, the hairs on his arms standing up as anger spreads across his body. He can’t stand Jiwon anymore.
He should have known she wasn’t coming here to apologize, unlike what he’d hoped for.
Jiwon grabs the plastic bag and her designer bag quickly, slightly fearful of Sunghoon’s newfound confidence. He doesn’t even spare a glance at her as she leaves, knowing full well that if he did, he would break down in tears. After all, he was still the same hurt man from all those years ago.
Jiwon leaves the house feeling proud of herself, despite Sunghoon not taking her back like she intended to; at least she ruined whatever the two of you had going on. And that was all that mattered to her.
A few minutes pass before Sunghoon finally regains his strength. This chaotic moment has drained all the energy from him. Slowly, he walks upstairs, the heavy atmosphere in the house pulling him back, making it harder to reach your bedroom door.
When he finally reaches it, his hand prepares to knock, but he realizes it’s already open. He steps inside quietly, gently pushing the door open as he enters. The scene in front of him makes him question if he’s seeing things. You’re packing your clothes into travel bags, your quiet sobs echoing in the chilly bedroom.
“Wait, princess, please—” Sunghoon begs as he steps closer to you. His hand reaches for your wrist, trying to stop you from packing.
“Sunghoon, we were never good to each other. We could never be. This—” you gesture. “This is all fake. This marriage isn’t real. None of it is real.”
“No. We are real; what I feel for you is real.” Sunghoon insists, pushing your bags away and forcing you to look at him. “I made that rule back then because I hated you. But I love you now. I want to be with you. Please don’t leave.”
You can’t stop the tears that roll down your cheeks, his voice full of pain shooting through your heart.
“You never told me about that. If we never got along, you would have just left me. Like I’m a toy you don’t need anymore.” You express between sobs, your head starting to throb with a heavy headache.
“That would never happen because I love you. I’ve changed the contract, okay? I changed it weeks ago, even before we went out before we even got involved physically.” Sunghoon explains, reaching for his phone, which was forgotten in his back pocket.
He taps on the screen a few times and shows you a new document. Your eyes scan it briefly, and you realize he’s telling the truth. But it doesn’t feel enough.
“I lied to you, Sunghoon.” You remind him, turning your head to the side to take a deep breath and calm your racing heart.
“I don’t care.” He responds immediately after you finish speaking. “It’s not that big of a deal. I’ve thought about it. It would have been way worse if my mom hadn’t chosen you. She chose you for a reason, YN.” Sunghoon explains as his hands reach for your jaw, turning your head so you can face him.
“She chose me because I had a debt to pay, Sunghoon.” You respond coldly, stepping away from him to resume packing your bags.
“I forgive you; please don’t go,” Sunghoon begs as salty tears start falling from his coffee-colored eyes.
He kneels on the floor and wraps his arms around your legs, trying to stop you from leaving. Your hand covers your mouth to hide a sob, the act further breaking your heart. You gradually kneel in front of him, taking his hot face in your cold hands.
“I need space… I need to think about all of this. I need to think about what I feel.” You explain slowly, gazing into your husband’s melancholic eyes. “And it needs to be away from you.”
Sunghoon’s warm tears run under your fingers, wetting your hand along with his cheeks. As your own tears glide down your face, you try to show him a faint smile. Your soul feels like it’s being squeezed out of its life—a physical pain that burns in your chest. You place a long kiss on his salty lips, then stand up, grab your things, and walk out of the room.
Weeks have passed since you last saw Sunghoon. You sit alone in your small kitchen, the little apartment you found feeling crowded and suffocating. You stare down at the steamy bowl of soup on the table, unable to take a single spoonful. The room feels dark as heavy clouds hide the faint sunlight outside, and you find it funny how similar it is to what you’re feeling.
You regret walking away that day, now that your mind is clear. You wish you had thought more about it and not left Sunghoon behind so casually. But you're not perfect, and life hasn’t been easy for you either. So when you found out about the contract and when she told Sunghoon about what you did, you felt a mix of shame and betrayal.
You’ve always found it easier to leave than to talk things out.
The days pass by tediously slowly as you stare at your phone, hoping he will text you. You don’t even care if it’s just to curse you out; you just need him to be stronger than you for once. Without realizing, your eyes become glossy, your heart aching in your chest, missing Sunghoon’s safe embrace.
But it’s too late now.
You force your tired body up from the table and walk to the window in your small living room, admiring the rain that has started to fall. Your tired eyes carefully watch the water droplets paint the road, bringing you some comfort.
That’s when you notice a familiar face running toward your building, using a bouquet to try to shield himself from the rain. As the man gets closer, you realize who it is, and your heart jumps at the sight of him. How did he find you?
That was the sign you asked for. Without thinking twice, you sprint across your apartment and close the door behind you. Your legs feel like jelly as you step toward the hall of the building, tears already welling in your eyes from the memories of his familiar scent.
When you reach the outside, he is standing in the middle of the deserted road, confused. Sunghoon thought it was a mirage; maybe his head was playing tricks on him, but as soon as you wrap your arms around him, he knows it’s real.
The rain falls harder now, the drops heavy and cold, but you couldn’t care less. Sunghoon lets go of the bouquet to wrap his arms around your waist, his head nuzzling against your hair, your sweet perfume filling his senses.
He could die right now, happy in your arms.
“I couldn’t bear it anymore,” Sunghoon breaks the silence, squeezing you tightly as if you were going to dissolve in the rain.
“I’m sorry, Sunghoon. I’m so sorry.” You cry out, your knees almost giving way as you finally look at your husband’s face.
Guilt hits you like a truck, robbing you of your breath when you notice the dark bags under his precious eyes, his face visibly slimmer and paler.
The truth is, he has barely slept these weeks, missing your warmth against him at night. He regrets trusting Jiwon that day and not telling her to leave them alone instead. Sunghoon also regrets how easily he let you go. He should have pulled you into his arms and assured you that everything was going to be alright. But in the end, he’s human, just like you, and the thought of pressuring you into staying wasn’t the most appealing.
“I love you. I’m so sorry.” You insist, tears falling freely from your eyes.
You're thankful it’s raining, so he doesn’t realize how much you’re crying. Your hands reach for his face, cupping his jaw. You can’t believe he found you. He came after you, despite you breaking his heart.
“I love you,” Sunghoon says with a sad smile, his eyes hypnotized by yours. “I’m here, and I won’t let you go anywhere ever again.”
You smile as you rest your forehead against his, the rain soaking you both completely. “I love you too, Sunghoon. I won’t ever leave again. I promise.” You whisper against his quivering lips.
Sunghoon wastes no more time and chases after your lips, needing to feel them against his. Your lips are warm despite the cold water droplets, and Sunghoon giggles when he feels them. All of his worries fade away. The kiss is long and passionate, his velvety lips molding with yours slowly, savoring your taste that he missed terribly.
Under the freezing rain, Sunghoon is sure that all he ever needs in his life is to have you by his side, to feel your sweet love. He doesn't need the money, the company, or even food to eat. You’re all he wishes for, and he won’t ever let you leave again, no matter what happens.

for @vershautece, based off of this and a little of this 🩷 enjoy!
warnings luigi is a baby making machine! sahm themes, let’s just assume he never had back problems shhh, all italian is translated at the bottom, breeding, oral (both receiving), missionary + doggy, orgasm denial (?), rough sex, ass slapping (i don’t like the other word), reflection ;), half-assed proofread
a/n i am actually so sorry this is so late, i’ve been stacked today and then i scheduled this to post and it never did… ALSO THIS IS WAY LONGER THAN I ORIGINALLY INTENDED!!! and i’m sorry the smut is kinda vague i haven’t written actual smut in SOOOO long it’s embarrassing… i’m gonna be a hornball on your dash!
getting accepted to upenn was definitely in your top three most exhilarating moments of your life. with plans of majoring in art, you were over the moon to start your independent life at an ivy league school! you rarely let boys get in your way — enjoying life in the moment was a top quality of yours as an artist.
that was, until you met luigi. oh god, he’s so beautiful. you only picked up one digital class that you really didn’t even know the name of because you’d wanted to get into digital art and you thought it’d be fun to learn the functions. as soon as you saw him about two weeks into the course, you were swooning. unbeknownst to you, most other girls were also swooning.
you only had a few tight friends, but your kind personality was a trait everyone noticed about you as soon as you would approach. also how good you smelled. and your beautiful smile. and your full, happy cheeks when you laugh. really just everything — and you’d had no idea that boys in your courses would pine after you, too.
a few trusty years later, you and luigi were to be wed! babies came shortly after, and you had the most beautiful twin toddlers. after you’d been granted maternity leave from your job as a high school art teacher, you’d gotten a little too used to staying home and tending to the house, rather than scrambling every weekend to get everything done as well as take care of your husband and children.
you had a talk with luigi and determined that the money from his job would be enough to keep the family steady going as well as a few pieces you’d make and sell on ebay every now and again. almost as quickly as you could, you sent an email to the superintendent and principal of your school saying that you would unfortunately not be returning due to personal issues.
luigi had never asked you to be a sweet little tradwife for him, but he damn sure enjoyed it. today in particular, your three year olds’ daycare was closed so you were fortunate enough to leave them with their godparents. this was good for you, they’d likely ask to spend the night with their padrini*, so you can have tonight and tomorrow morning without a ‘bedtime’ for you and your children!
in the morning after dropping them off, you went back home to get cute and dolled up — you usually made breakfast wearing a silk pajama set that luigi bought for you last christmas. then you went to the grocery store and to the bank to deposit a check from a painting you sold for a little under $500. then back home to make a small lunch — you were planning to cook a big dinner — and then onto housework. you played music while you worked, and once beds were made you retreated back to your bedroom to tweak your hair and makeup for dinner.
you also made sure luigi knew not to come home before 5:45 because you wouldn’t be done with your dishes, and checked in on your kids to confirm they’d stay the night at their padrini’s house.
when luigi came home, just like out of a scene of a movie, he shouted from the front door: “tesoro, sono a casa!*” followed by the door closing and locking mechanically behind him. he strutted into the kitchen to see you putting plates together — exactly 6:00. he must have waited in the driveway to give you some extra time!
with a gentle hold of your waist and long kiss on your cheek, you suddenly felt much more comfortable; almost feeling safe that he was home. anxiety was sometimes a struggle when you’re home alone all day and your husband working half an hour away.
as you plated the food and brought the bread out of the oven, luigi went upstairs to change into something more casual. when he opened the bedroom door, he noticed you had left a precious little lingerie set laying on the bed, likely accidentally. his interest was certainly piqued! quirking an eyebrow and grinning a little to himself, he took a few minutes to change and mess with his hair a bit in the mirror.
luigi came down the stairs with happy haste.
“thank you for making this meal, babydoll, smells so good,” he compliments, kissing your cheek again.
your face burns excitedly. “thank you,” you kiss his lips a few short times.
over dinner, you chat about each other’s day and the children. he seems to be deep in thought for a moment, and when he notices you staring he speaks again.
“you think we should have another baby?” he asks cheekily.
you nearly choke and your heart rate runs rampant, looking as if you hadn’t had sex before. “do you want to?”
“would i ask if i didn’t want to?”
there’s a rush between your thighs almost immediately. you place your fork down onto your plate and stand up, but before you can walk off he’s up and scooping you into his strong arms. he cascades up the steps with you bridal style.
as soon as he steps into the bedroom, he places you down on the fuzzy chair in front of your vanity. a finger points to the lacy set laying on the neat bed.
“you wanna tell me what you got this out for?” he presses, kneeling down on the ground in front of you. luigi’s pretty lips pepper kisses on your ankles, lifting each one up slowly to remove your kitten heels. once each shoe is off, he places the now bare calf on his shoulder.
“please, lu…” you plead pathetically.
his eyebrows furrow upwards, looking at you with big eyes full of faux empathy. “please what? use your words, mio amore. dimmi cosa vuoi*.”
words are quick to fail you. your brain is blank, almost static. most times you have sex it’s quick and hushed because the twins are in the house.
he’s kissing up your legs again, attempting to get a rise out of you. once he gets to your thighs, you’re getting a little restless.
“taking too long,” you mumble, and he lifts his head to look you in the eye again — this time much more stern.
“what was that?”
“said you’re taking too long,” you repeat yourself louder, locking your gaze with his.
within a second, he’s snatched you up and thrown you onto the neat bed.
“you and your goddamn bed decorations. i never know why you put all these pillows on here when we’re just gonna throw them all off later,” he grumbles, clearly angry and clearing the throw pillows from the bed, tossing them to the floor.
luigi pushes your maxi skirt up and nearly tears your little cotton underwear off of you. his tongue darts between your warmth and his nose harshly rubs against your clit, catching you off guard and sending your spine into electric shock. your hands fly to grip his hair in one hand and the tightly made bedsheets in the other.
“y’taste so sweet, tesoro,” he groans against you, leaving open-mouthed kisses on your thighs before going back to devouring your sex.
he’s already working an easy orgasm or two from you. he pulls you from your stupor and unzips your dress, gingerly pulling it off of you — he knows how upset you got last time he accidentally ripped the hem of your dress.
his shirt is gone, his chin and parts of his cheeks are still wet, and removing his belt as quickly as he can. as soon as his pants drop, you grab the hem of his boxers and pull them down. every time you see his cock, it never fails to surprise you that the tip touches his fucking belly button.
you pop his throbbing pink tip into your mouth, giving it little kitten licks and short kisses. you work your way down, or as much as you can, using your hand to pump what you can’t fit in your mouth. you’re moaning and slobbering around his cock, vibrations from your voice sending chills up his spine and down into his arms. his hands find their way to the back of your head, carefully urging you to take more.
your throat is constricting and you retract from his cock, looking into his eyes for validation.
“you’re taking too long,” he mocks in a faux whiny voice. luigi pushes you back onto the bed by his shoulders and holds his heavy cock. he teases your folds, rubbing his hot tip through to spread your own spit and cum from him eating you out. slowly, he pushes in. he always waits a little for you to adjust to how big he is.
“fuck, m’so full…”
“you’re so tight, mio amore.”
his eyes are boring into yours and his hands press down onto your womb to see his own cock buried into you.
“gonna cum if you don’t breathe for a second and relax, holy fuck baby,” he reminds you with a deep, raspy tone.
you take a deep breath and mid-exhale he starts to pound into you with a feverish and eager alacrity, causing you to almost scream.
“mmmmy fucking god!” your voice shakes with each impactful thrust against your hips. one of his hands grips your waist and the other attaches to your boob, his head following shortly. his tongue laps around your peaked nipple rapidly.
then both hands are on your waist and he briefly pulls out to flip you onto your stomach and prop your ass up to his liking. he’s shoving his cock back into your soaked cunt and returns back to his relentless pace.
“gonna fuck a baby into you, bella ragazza, gonna get you nice and swollen with a pretty baby, hm? isn’t that right?” he pushes his hand down onto your lower back, arching you up higher for him. both of his big hands find your frizzed up curly bun and he snatches your head back.
“feels so fucking good, m’gonna cum, lu!”
“aht,” he slows down exponentially, “you’ll cum when i tell you to.”
your eyes roll to the back of your head with adoration and you swear your ovaries start jumping at the demand. he’s back to slamming into you and a hard hand comes down onto each ass cheek three or four times. he adds to the torture by holding your hair in one hand and moving his other arm around your hip to grind his palm on your clit.
“oh my god, i’m gonna fucking cum luigi…” you breathe out between a moan, a scream and a whisper.
“what’d i tell you?”
“to wait ‘til you tell me to cum!”
“do what i tell you, be a good girl and listen to me.”
your brain is numb and your head falls limp, his grip in your hair is the only thing holding your body close to his.
“you’re so fucking pretty, mio amore, can i take a picture?”
you just nod obediently, not really caring too much at this point. he reaches over to the bedside table where he put his phone before dinner and opens the camera, showing your mascara dripping down your face from tears you didn’t know were flowing and an agape mouth, moans slipping through with every motion.
“you see why i love fucking you s’much? hm? look at yourself while i fuck you, baby,” he’s shoving the phone into your hand to palm your clit again. you’re bucking your hips against each form of stimulation with your jaw wide open, breathing shakily.
“there you go, tesoro, y’wanna cum?” he taunts, to which you nod your head and moan a hearty ‘yes!’
his index and middle finger focus on your clit, circling the sensitive bundle of nerves as tightly as he can. your eyes go crossed, no longer paying any attention to the reflection in the camera. luigi’s hand drops from your hair, pushes your head down and arches your back up one more time. he pressed record on the camera and kept up with his cock bullying into your cervix over and over.
“go ahead and cum with me baby, take it like the good girl you are.”
when he gives you permission, almost like a stage cue, you totally let go. your cunt squeezes around him entirely and traps him in. his cock twitches rampantly inside you as he meets his release, watching your face through the camera that you’re gripping onto with your life.
it takes a few minutes to cool off after he lays down beside you, stopping the recording and kissing all over your face. “you did so good for me, baby. sei una brava ragazza*.”
you don’t even have it in you to respond, your chest heaving.
“you think that one will take? should we go for another round?”
this gets a breathless chortle from you. “can i catch my breath first? also, you messed my hair up.”
“so that’s a yes?” he asks, already burying his face into your chest and carefully pressing kisses to your hot skin.

Hiiiiii, we got Jamie's birthday, can we get PA's?
Shoebox
Masterlist
Jamie Tartt x fem! PA reader
A/N: I love it! Have been thinking about this hard and wanted to do this in a very emotional way because I felt like PA is a person that wants nobody to know her birthday.
TW: cursing, innuendos, fluff
Jamie Tartt doesn’t remember dates.
He barely remembers his own birthday half the time, much less anyone else’s. Anniversaries? Forget it. Holidays? Only when someone reminds him. It’s never been his thing.
That's why he has Y/N, his personal assistant, to remember them for him.
So when he glances at Y/N’s phone screen—purely by accident, obviously—and sees a message from her mum saying, Happy early birthday, love. Hope you have a lovely day tomorrow—he has to read it twice.
Tomorrow?
His gaze flickers to Y/N, who is sitting on the other end of the couch, legs curled up, scrolling through something on her laptop. She doesn’t react. Doesn’t so much as blink at her phone. No excitement, no mention of plans.
And that’s when Jamie realizes—she’s keeping it a secret. She's keeping her birthday a secret.
He doesn’t understand why. Y/N is the most organized person he knows. She’s the one who reminds him of every single birthday, arranges gifts for his teammates when he forgets, keeps track of every little thing. But her own birthday? She’s just… ignoring it?
Jamie locks his jaw, turning his attention back to the telly, pretending like he didn’t see a thing.
But he did. And now it’s rattling around in his head, sticking there like a song he can’t get rid of.
That night, Jamie lies in bed, staring at the ceiling.
He could just say something.
But if she wanted people to know, she would have told him.
So instead, he does something different—something that makes his heart hammer against his ribs.
He gets up, pulls out the shoebox from the top of his closet, and dumps the contents onto his bed.
A mess of ticket stubs, polaroids, receipts, and random scraps of paper falls out. He sifts through them, picking up a blurry photo of them at a team dinner, a crumpled note she had once left on his gym bag (Don’t be late today, Tartt. I mean it.), a matchday program where she had circled his name in blue ink.
Jamie doesn’t know why he’s kept these things. He’s never been sentimental like that.
But somehow, without even realizing it, he’s been keeping her.
The next day, Jamie acts normal.
Or at least, he tries to.
It’s harder than he expects. Every time he looks at her, he wants to say something. But he doesn’t. Instead, he pays extra attention—watching for any sign that she might, at the very least, acknowledge her own birthday.
Nothing.
No one at the club knows. No one wishes her. She doesn’t act any different.
And for some reason, it pisses him off.
At lunch, he slides into the seat next to her, nudging her arm. "You, uh, doin’ anything later?"
She shakes her head. "Nah. Just gonna go home."
Jamie frowns. "Borin'. "
She huffs a quiet laugh. "Not everyone needs to be constantly entertained, Jamie."
"Yeah, but—" He stops himself. Shrugs. "Dunno. Just seems like a waste of uhm— day."
She tilts her head, narrowing her eyes. "What do you mean? Why are you being weird?"
"I’m not."
"You are."
"Oi, shut up."
She laughs, shaking her head, and Jamie forces himself to act like it’s just another day.
But it isn’t.
That evening, Y/N comes home to find a small, wrapped package sitting on her coffee table.
There’s no note. No indication of who left it.
Frowning, she picks it up, carefully peeling back the paper.
Inside is a shoebox filled with random stuff.
She stills, fingers tracing over the outside of the box, heart pounding for reasons she doesn’t quite understand. Slowly, she skims through the contents—and her breath catches in her throat.
It’s them.
Photo after photo, little notes, ticket stubs from games they attended together, receipts from coffee shops where they’d sat for hours going over Jamie's schedule. There’s a picture of her laughing at something stupid he’d said, a doodle he’d made on a napkin that she had long forgotten about, a torn page from an old match program where he had scribbled, bet you a tenner I score today (and she had, indeed, owed him ten quid after that game).
She swallows hard.
Near the bottom of the box, in Jamie’s unmistakable handwriting, there’s a note.
"Dunno why you don’t tell people it’s your birthday. But I remember things when they matter."
Her breath catches.
Because Jamie Tartt doesn’t remember birthdays. He doesn’t remember dates.
But somehow—somehow—he remembered hers.
The knock on her door comes late.
Too late for anyone but him.
She opens it to find Jamie standing there, hands in his pockets, rocking back on his heels.
"Hey."
She blinks at him, still holding the shoebox in her hands. "Jamie, did you—?"
"Like it?" He grins, but there’s something softer behind it. "Spent fuckin’ ages collecting that stuff, y’know."
She lets out a breathless laugh, shaking her head. "Jamie, I—"
"You don’t have to say anythin’," he interrupts, then gestures behind him. "But, uh, you do have to come with me."
She raises an eyebrow. "Why?"
His smirk deepens. "You’ll see."
She should say no. She should protest, tell him she doesn’t want a big deal made out of today.
But she doesn’t.
Because Jamie Tartt, of all people, remembered.
And for once, she thinks, maybe her birthday is something worth celebrating.
Y/N stares at Jamie for a long second, her fingers tightening around the shoebox.
He’s grinning at her like he hasn’t just completely dismantled her entire sense of reality—like he hasn’t just remembered something she never even told him.
She wants to ask how he found out. Wants to ask why he went through the effort when he forgets literally everyone else’s birthdays.
But instead, she exhales, tilts her head, and says, “You’re not gonna tell me where we’re going, are you?”
Jamie smirks. “Where’s the fun in that?”
She doesn’t protest when he leads her outside. Doesn’t roll her eyes when he opens the car door for her with an exaggerated flourish. Doesn’t even question the way he hums under his breath as he drives—some aimless tune, his fingers tapping against the steering wheel in time with the rhythm.
It’s… nice.
Too nice.
Because Jamie Tartt has always been in her life like a storm—loud and chaotic and everywhere all at once. But this? This is different. It’s steady. Purposeful.
And that’s what scares her.
They don’t talk much as he drives. He makes a few comments about some knob on the pitch today, how Roy nearly had an aneurysm over something someone did in training. She nods, hums in agreement, but her mind is elsewhere.
Because no matter how hard she tries to focus on the words coming out of his mouth, her gaze keeps drifting back to the shoebox in her lap.
Jamie had kept all of this.
Ticket stubs, stupid notes, photos she didn’t even know existed.
She doesn’t know what to do with that.
Doesn’t know what it means.
But before she can spiral too hard, Jamie pulls up in front of a familiar place.
Her brows furrow. “The Dogtrack?”
Jamie flashes her a grin, hopping out of the car. “C’mon.”
She follows him, still utterly lost. It’s dark, but the entrance is lit up. The usual bustling energy of match days is missing, the stadium eerily quiet.
Jamie pushes open the door and gestures for her to step inside. “After you.”
She gives him a suspicious look but walks in.
And stops dead.
Because standing there—right in the middle of the locker room—is the entire AFC Richmond team.
And they’re all grinning at her.
There’s a giant “HAPPY BIRTHDAY” banner hanging from the ceiling, a table filled with snacks and a cake, and—oh god, is that Roy Kent wearing a bloody party hat?
There’s a beat of stunned silence before Keeley comes bounding over, throwing her arms around her.
“Happy birthday, babe! Jamie said you were trying to be all sneaky about it, but absolutely not.”
She barely has time to process that before she’s being passed from person to person—Rebecca giving her a warm hug, Sam beaming at her, Dani nearly lifting her off the ground in excitement.
She hears Isaac loudly exclaim, “Wait, I knew we were missin’ someone’s birthday this month!”
Colin laughs. “Mate, you did not.”
In the middle of it all, Jamie watches her.
She meets his eyes across the room, her heart hammering in her chest.
He doesn’t say anything. Just smirks and nods toward the table like go on, then.
And Y/N, for the first time in a long time, thinks that maybe—just maybe—her birthday is something worth celebrating after all.
The party is chaos.
Good chaos, the kind she never would have planned for herself but can’t help smiling at. The team is in full celebration mode—Dani is leading a conga line around the locker room, Sam is passionately debating cake flavors with Rebecca, and Roy has miraculously kept the party hat on despite muttering curses under his breath every time someone points it out.
Y/N lets herself enjoy it. She laughs when Colin hands her a drink, shakes her head fondly when Keeley insists on taking selfies with her, and even joins in when Isaac starts up some ridiculous drinking game involving half the squad and an alarming amount of tequila.
But eventually, it all becomes a lot.
Not in a bad way, just in an overwhelming way.
So she quietly slips outside.
The air is cool against her skin, a welcome contrast to the warmth inside. She leans against the railing overlooking the training pitch, letting out a slow breath.
She still doesn’t know how to process all of this.
Jamie—who forgets every birthday, who once confidently said the Queen’s Jubilee was in March—had remembered hers. And not just remembered. He had planned.
And the shoebox…
Her fingers tighten around the railing.
She doesn’t know how long she stands there before she hears the door open behind her.
Footsteps. Familiar ones.
Then Jamie’s voice, soft but teasing. “Oi. You ditchin’ your own party?”
She huffs a laugh but doesn’t turn around. “Just needed some air.”
A beat of silence. Then, “Too much?”
She finally glances over her shoulder. Jamie is standing there, hands in his pockets, watching her with that unreadable expression of his—the one that isn’t quite cocky, isn’t quite soft, but somewhere in between.
She exhales. “A little.”
He nods like he understands, stepping up beside her. They stand there for a moment, the sounds of the party muffled behind them, the cool night air settling around them.
Then, quietly, she says, “Thank you.”
Jamie tilts his head. “For what?”
She turns to face him fully now, and god, he’s so close. Close enough that she can see the flicker of uncertainty in his eyes, like he doesn’t quite know how to respond.
“For everything,” she says, voice softer now. “For remembering. For the shoebox. For… all of this.” She gestures toward the stadium.
Jamie shifts on his feet, like he’s trying to play it cool, but there’s something vulnerable in the way he rubs the back of his neck. “Yeah, well. You were bein’ a right weirdo about it, keepin’ it a secret and all.”
She smiles. “I just don’t really celebrate it.”
“Yeah, I figured,” he murmurs, watching her carefully. “Just thought… dunno. Maybe this year, you should.”
Her throat feels tight.
Because Jamie Tartt—who is meant to be selfish, who is meant to be thoughtless—has seen her in a way no one else has.
She doesn’t know what to say.
So she doesn’t say anything.
Instead, she steps forward and wraps her arms around him.
Jamie stills for half a second before his arms come around her in return, pulling her in. He smells like expensive cologne and whatever shampoo he swears by, and his body is solid and warm against hers.
But then—just as she thinks about pulling away—Jamie shifts.
And suddenly, his arms tighten, and he tugs her even closer, pressing his forehead to the top of her head.
Her heart pounds.
Slowly, his hands move—one settling on her waist, the other slipping up her back.
Then, just when she thinks she’s hit her limit of feeling too much, Jamie shifts again—this time turning her towards the pitch and hugging her from behind, resting his chin against her shoulder, his chest pressing into her back, his arms locked around her like he’s keeping her there.
She swallows hard.
“D’you like it?” he murmurs against her skin.
She closes her eyes. “Yeah.”
Jamie exhales, his breath warm against her. “Good.”
Jamie’s expression shifts, something warmer settling in his eyes.
And then, because she can’t let him have the last word, she smirks. “But, y’know… If I wouldn't have liked it there would always be your plan B present..”
Jamie frowns, confused. “What?”
She bites back a grin, tilting her head at him. “Jamie, I distinctly remember you saying on your birthday that your dream present was me, wrapped in only a bow. What if I wanted the same?”
Jamie blinks.
Then, his lips part, and something dangerous flickers across his face.
“Can be arranged,” he says smoothly.
Y/N snorts, shoving his arm. “Oh, shut up.”
Jamie laughs, but there’s a look in his eyes—one that’s both playful and something else, something deeper.
Something she doesn’t know what to do with.
They stay like that for a long time.
Long enough for the noise of the party to fade into the background. Long enough for her to forget anything else exists.
Just her.
And Jamie.
And this.

Wally had a plan.
A good plan, relatively thorough, and romantic. All of which were crucial to whether or not this date would go good.
A good, sweet morning wrapped up in the loving embrace of your arms, paired with the sweet, tightness of your cunt cockwarming him while the sun rises from just below the horizon. With the feeling of your fingers carding through his hair, your lips ghosting over his jaw and murmurs of sweet 'I love you's in the air.
Then, you'd have breakfast that HE learnt how to make. Through numerous WikiHow articles and YouTube tutorials.
Then, you'd go about your day where flowers would be mailed to your job, and the two of you would have a nice lunch. Specifically, a picnic in the park and for dinner, you'd have take-out and the scallions in the soup would be shaped like cute hearts, because if your love is in soup, it's eternal.
But noooooooooooo.
The universe has a fucked up way of ruining the speedster's hopes and dreams.
The takeout place burns down, the flower company doesn't get his order, he oversleeps so he doesn't get to make you the whole, magical experience of cockwarming while he feeds you breakfast.
"I'm sorry." Wally murmurs softly. "I should've planned better."
Rain continues to soak through his shirt, the fabric getting heavier and clinging to his torso in the way that makes your eyes linger, a slow smile spreading on your face as you unabashedly watch the way the shirt sticks to his tightly toned belly. Abs on display in the most demure yet slutty way.
"It's okay."
You reassure softly, although your eyes don't move from where you can see his nipples through his shirt.
"Are you seriously staring at my nipples?" Wally let's out a choked laugh, dimples deepening in his cheeks as he looks down at you, gingery hair wet and clinging to the back of his neck, as well as his forehead.
Your outfit's less soaked than his.
Seeing as he made a makeshift gazebo with his windbreaker, using his speed to his advantage to tie the arms to the lowest hanging branches and tucking either of the ends between messy and spiky edges of the branches.
Too small to accomodate both of you but good enough to keep you from thoroughly soaking your plaid Chanel skirt and you shift, your boots scuffing against the wet grass.
"Yeah." You hum softly. "They're so cute and like, hard."
Reaching out, you press down one of his perky nipples and Wally snorts. "Freak."
"Come stand with me. You're gonna get a cold." You chide Wally with a huff, grabbing the front of his shirt and tugging him out of the rain, his body pressed against yours and strong, muscular hands move to bracket your hips, his thumbs brushing over the flesh your fluffy knit sweater fails to over and he looks down at you.
Fucking hearts in his eyes.
The moment seems perfect right now. Raindrops pelting around you, the sound of wet grass sloshing underneath your boots as you shift at the feel of nipping cold and a warm hand moves to cup your cheek as Wally leans down, his lips pressed against yours. It's so sweet.
He kisses you like it's the only slow thing he'll ever do. Lips moving against yours in a slow, synchronised motion that you both seem to fall into so flawlessly, his hand on your hip shifts and instead, his arm's wrapped around your waist while your own hands interlace at the nape of his neck.
You can barely hide the giggle that leaves you when you feel the way Wally's hand lowers, taking the sweet and romantic opportunity to slide his hand beneath your skirt. Damp digits paw at the fat of your ass and you pull away.
"Creep." You mock him, nipping at his bottom lip and you see the pretty twinkle of his eyes as he stares down at you, a grin on his face, freckles dusted over his rosy cheeks.
"Guilty." He hums softly, before leaning forward, his lips brushing against the shell of your ear.
"We should get out of the rain, yeah?" There's a low huskiness to his voice, a sweet yet sultry tone that hints that there's a lot more waiting for you at home than there was waiting for you at the park.
And you nod your head, bashful and adoring as you murmur a soft 'mhm'.
˚˖𓍢ִִ໋❤️་༘🎀˚˖𓍢ִ🌹˚.
Hot water sprays down on your skin, and you let out the softest sigh, frozen bones easing at the warmth before the shower door is abruptly opened and Wally stands in all his freckled glory.
Hair still damp from the rain, that shit-eating grin on his face.
"Scoot over." He instructs, but he's already stepping over the threshold of the shower, shutting the door behind him and readjusting the showerhead to spray more in his direction.
Wally's always been a bit of a selfish showerer.
His body nearly presses yours against the tiled walls as he soaks up the scalding water, letting out controlled breaths before meeting your narrowed gaze and he lets out the softest little breath. And he reaches towards the temperature dial, shifting and switching it, until the water's a pleasant, lukewarm temperature before he hums.
"Upsy-daisy." He lifts you with ease, your knees hooked over the crooks of his elbows, your back pressed against his chest and he presses a sloppy kiss against your temple.
"Wally, what are you— oh..." The gruff complaints die in your throat when Wally shifts your body towards the shower stream, your thighs spread obscenely wide as the solid stream of water pelts down against your clit, and you purse your lips, brows knitting at the pleasure that's not quite enough to get you anywhere but it's nice enough for you to not want it to stop.
Wally hums in pride, freckled cheeks splitting into a grin as you feel the muscles of his core flex absentmindedly, his cock twitching to life, hardening and pressing itself against your neglected cunt. And he presses the sweetest kiss against your cheek, loving and adoring before he breathes your name so sweetly.
"Help me out?" He coos softly. "Just the tip, though. I wanna make you feel good."
You nod your head, biting your bottom lip as you reach down between your thighs, grabbing a hold of his cock and you give his tip a few swipes of your thumb, feeling the way his breath hitches against your back before you ease his flushed tip into your hole.
Just the tip.
Wally can't help the way he sighs at the warmth of your cunt, wrapped so sweetly around his leaky tip as you spasm so subtly. And he clicks his tongue, his hips twitching and giving you the most shallow thrusts, all as he reaches for the showerhead, detaching it and bringing it closer.
"Wally, I don't think—"
Your opinion dies quicker than you'd like to admit because when the water pressure changes, and Wally's controlling the placement, you feel your head tip back against his broad chest. Your lashes flutter closed and faint moans leave your parted lips as your thighs tense and flex, although they're still kept in a long distance relationship.
"You look so pretty." Wally coos sweetly, cheeks flushed and his wet body feeling slightly cold at the breeze that creeps into the bathroom and he dips his head, pressing a soft kiss against your lips before asking you, so sweetly.
"How do you wanna come?"
That question has no business making your cunt drool, walls and nerve endings burning with that sickening desire to come as many times as you can and you swallow.
Sure, this feels great but nothing beats—
"Your tongue and fingers."
You sigh softly, bringing up one hand to curl in his wet hair, nails scratching at his scalp so affectionately.
"Nasty, greedy girl. Tongue and fingers?"
Wally teases you but he wastes no time in setting you on your feet, placing the showerhead back on its spot and kneeling in front of you.
The muscles in his thighs spread out, his core tensing and his cock twitching upwards at the water that pelts down onto the two of you. It's a comforting spray, warmer than before so Wally must've changed the temperature while you were trying to find your brain.
And he guides one of your thighs to rest over his shoulder, the heel of your foot bumping against his back and Wally presses a kiss against your inner thigh. And he places your hands on his head, before lowering his head.
He drags his flattened tongue over your cunt, tasting your slick and feeling you throb against his tongue and he groans softly. Your fingers tangle in his hair, head tipping back against the condensating tiles and you let out the softest sigh. Your tummy tenses when he swirls his tongue around your clit, just before he dips it into your cunt, only for a little bit.
He can taste himself just a bit, the taste of his precum has drastically improved since you've started seeing each other.
Maybe because instead of living off energy drinks and take out, Wally's seeing fruit on a daily basis, instead of treating it like a distant relative.
Two fingers plunge into your cunt at a speed that makes your belly dip inward and your hands fist his hair tighter, a low moan leaving your lips and Wally lets out a boyish giggle.
"Yeah. Does it feel good?" He coos softly, juniper gaze lifting to glance up at your face, seeing the way your brows scrunch in that adorable way, the way your lips part to let out whimpers and whines as his tongue rolls around your clit, suckling at the bud until you let out a pitched moan.
Wally hurls you at your oncoming orgasm with the strength and speed that a cat knocks a glass off the table. And you nearly scream, your knees giving out beneath you but Wally keeps you steady as you buck against his face, his tongue and fingers working in tandem to draw out your orgasm for as long as possible.
Because he loves watching the way you crumble against a damp, tiled wall. Hair clinging to your forehead, face ruddy and hot breaths mingling with the steam in the air and you look so fucking gorgeous when you look down at him through bleary eyes. Watching as his tongue cleans up the slick that paints your puffy pussy with glossiness, licking along your thighs before Wally rises, forearms braced on either side of your head before he smiles down at you, head cocked and he presses a kiss against your forehead.
"You good, pretty?"
You can barely nod your head as Wally's hands move to bracket your hips, thumbs brushing over the protruding bones as his head dips to press kisses along the curve of your neck. Before his hand shifts, to squeeze the fat of your ass, feeling the flesh in his calloused palms and he groans softly.
"Shit." He breathes out before swallowing. "Okay, we're gonna finish showering, then you're gonna order pizza while I get the room ready and then we're gonna... Fix this Valentine's Day, okay?"
This is the most instructions Wally's ever given you. Literally ever.
And you can't deny that it's kind of sexy.
˚˖𓍢ִִ໋❤️་༘🎀˚˖𓍢ִ🌹˚.
"Wally, I'm eat—" Your words are broken up in a gasp, cheese, sauce and doe tucked into either of your cheeks and you shift, letting out a slurred whine while Wally's hands pry your thighs apart.
"Don't be selfish." Wally hisses, his tongue curling against your overstimulated clit, sensitive bud peeking out from between your folds and he forces your legs apart, your plate resting on your belly, and Wally lays down on his stomach as he sucks your clit so sweetly, peeking up at you over the decorated porcelain rim of your plate. And you whine, completely unsure of which route to take.
You could keep eating.
Or Wally could keep eating.
"Just keep eating." Wally's nose bumps against your clit, his tongue tracing hearts over your cunt before he flicks it just right, and he rests his head against the flesh of your thigh.
And he doesn't even pretend that it's tedious.
Delightful hums leave his lips in the form of low, reverberating groans, his grip on your thighs borders on almost clingy as he paws at whatever flesh he can get to and his sock-covered feet kick. You don't even have the time to question why his socks has your pictures on it before he's tucking two fingers away in your gummy walls.
Gently curling them, sweetly coaxing you towards another orgasm that has your heels digging into his back, your eyes rolling back and your hand nearly dropping the cheesy slice. And you whimper.
"Wally... 's too much, too sensitive...—" You gasp with a whine, lashes fluttering and tears brimming at the corners of your mouth as his fast flicks and his eagerness make you see God.
Wally ignores you.
Blatantly.
Only lifting his head to scowl at you before ducking back down, his feet kicking and his hips occasionally grinding against the messy sheets, a perfect hill for him to rub against like an animal in heat.
Needy, whiny and so, so achingly hard.
He lets out a familiarly whiny groan, tears brimming on his lower lashline, green eyes becoming bleary as he sucks, nips, drags his tongue and circles. All in perfect movements and God, being a speed freak really had it's perks.
Including the fact that he had the uncanny ability to make you come whenever he wanted to.
A walking, talking vibrator.
Wally coaxes your third orgasm out of you, slick dribbling down his chin and his palm, before he lifts himself, carding his fingers through his hair and staring at you with a heated gaze.
His broad chest heaves, his carved abdomen tenses and flexes, and his hands rest on your thighs, warm palms easing the almost painful burn in your core, and your gaze lowers. Lowers all the way to below that gingery happy trail and you swallow.
"Wally, did you come?" You question softly, lips pursed as you try not to let out a snort of laughter as pearly beads continue to be pushed out with each twitch of his still-hard cock.
"I got really into it." He's not even embarassed, simply moving the messy sheets out of the way and guiding your thighs over his, and notching the flushed tip of his cock at your sopping, slick-soaked pussy.
And he pushes into you, hands grasping the sheets before he stops. Abruptly.
"I need to pull out." Wally announces and you wish you could say he was joking. But his expression doesn't say he's joking.
"Like, right now?"
"Literally right now. Please don't move. I'll lose so much aura, baby, please. Keep still."
Wally begs you, and like a normal woman, and a woman in love, you obviously start to clench and spasm around his leaky tip. And Wally whines.
"You're gonna make me come..." He whimpers, bringing his hand up to bracket your face, forcing you to look away from him.
Wally knows you'll never let it down if you see the way he looks. All red and flushed, weak and teary-eyed as he tries to keep his cool.
He doesn't get why now, of all times, his stamina's playing games with him but he does know one thing.
"Can I come inside?"

You were watching the stretch marks on your stomach and thighs, you had really gained weight this time.
Some of your tops didn't fit you even, that made you feel really sad. You remained there seated on the floor for a while admist clothes and pants that didn't fit you anymore.
You looked at the mirror, hand coming to cup your stomach as your lips formed a little pout, you hated looking like this.
You sighed and decided to wear a loose t shirt and some baggy pajamas, you didn't wanna see the imprint of your figure through your clothes that's how disgusting you felt.
It's been weeks you've been skipping out on lunch, having just a toast for breakfast and barely eating anything for dinner yet somehow you felt like you were the fattest whale to exist on the planet.
"Gosh, I pity Vi," you murmured, pulling your hair down to frame your face in an attempt of making it look smaller, maybe the weight gain wouldn't show then.
"Hey baby, what's with the mess?" Vi asked as she opened the door to the bedroom, brow raised at the clothes scattered around the floor.
"Oh nothing I just couldn't find something comfortable you wear," you lied through your teeth, it was only partially the truth.
"Baby have you been crying?" Vi asked closing the door behind herself and walking upto you, cupping your face in her hands. Vi tucked your hair behind your ear but you quickly pulled them back down to frame your face.
"I'm fine I just need a moment can you give me that?" You asked softly and Vi sighed before nodding, "I'm only a room away, call for me okay? Don't suffer alone whatever it is." Vi reluctantly walked out of the bedroom to give you some space.
"Eat, babe," Vi's voice was gentle whenever she tried to coerce you to eat but you didn't want to, sometimes smiling and telling her you weren't hungry and sometimes simply behaving like you were full.
You didn’t think she noticed.
The way you pushed food around on your plate, always claiming you “weren’t that hungry.” The way your clothes started fitting differently, a little looser. How you sighed when you looked in the mirror, eyes scanning yourself with something too sharp, too cruel.
Vi wasn’t the kind of person to push when you weren’t ready to talk, but she wasn’t stupid.
She saw you. And she wasn’t about to sit back and let you wither away.
So that’s how you ended up in your tiny kitchen, standing at the threshold in nothing but Vi’s old shirt, watching her cook.
It was an unexpected sight—Vi, of all people, focused, brow furrowed as she worked at the stove.
She wasn’t a chef, not by a long shot, but the woman could cook when she needed to. And right now, she was cooking for you and what's what mattered to her.
“Take a seat,” Vi said without turning around, her voice casual but firm.
You hesitated, rubbing your arm. “Vi, I’m not really—”
“—Hungry?” She shot you a glance over her shoulder, an amused smirk tugging at her lips. “Yeah, I figured you’d say that. Sit your ass down anyway.”
With a sigh, you did as you were told, perching at the small, worn-out table. The smell in the air was good—savory, rich, something warm that made your stomach twist with a hunger you’d been ignoring.
“What are you even making?” you asked trying to peer around and get a peek, watching as she plated up.
Vi turned, holding out a dish. “Noodles with grilled chicken. It’s good shit.”
You stared at the plate as she set it down in front of you.
Steaming noodles, coated in a thick, spicy sauce, mixed with crisped-up vegetables and tender slices of grilled chicken. It smelled amazing.
Vi took a seat across from you, arms crossed, gaze unwavering. “Eat, babe.”
You swallowed, fingers twitching on the table. “Vi—”
“Listen.” Vi's voice softened, but her eyes never left yours. “I know what you’re doing. I’ve seen it before—hell, I’ve done it before. You start thinking you’re not enough, that if you just shrink a little more, you’ll feel better. That it’ll fix whatever’s in your head.”
Your throat tightened. She saw right through you. There was no more hiding.
Vi leaned forward, resting her muscly forearms on the table. “But that’s not how it works, sweetheart. You deserve to eat. You deserve to be strong. You deserve to feel good in your own skin, not punish yourself.”
You exhaled shakily, looking down at your plate.
“Just try,” Vi murmured. “For me?”
Your fingers curled around the chopsticks. You picked up a bite, hesitating before finally tasting it.
It was good—spicy, rich, the kind of food that warmed you from the inside out. Your body reacted instantly, the hunger you’d been denying making itself known.
Vi grinned as you took another bite, then another. “That’s my girl.”
A warmth that had nothing to do with the food spread through you.
Maybe, just maybe, she was right.

ᰔ summary: an easy sunday morning with two lovesick fools
ᰔ author's note: this is continuation of the fic i wrote for this series :) frankie deserves the world and i'll die on that hill. i love him and would kill or die for him. thinking about doing a little series for him once this is done 🙂‍↕️
ᰔ content warning: none! single father frankie, cute and domestic
Tumblr media
"Frankie," you giggled. "Stop it!" You swatted at Frankie's hand, which had wandered close to your ass. Here you were, innocently trying to choose the right apples for your lunch this week while your boyfriend tried to get his hands all over you.
"I'm just keeping you close! Got a lot of people here," Frankie argued. You glanced over his shoulder, the two of you side by side, and took in the lack of patrons around you. The only person to bear witness was the baby, who was sound asleep in the stroller. She slept soundly, completely unaware of her father and his hijinks.
"It's 10am on a Sunday morning," you returned. "The only people in here right now are us and the birds."
You finally grabbed a few green apples and tossed them in your reusable produce bag. As you stepped away, Frankie followed. He had a knack for sticking close, you had come to realize.
"It's the birds you have to keep an eye on," Frankie warned. When you looked back in confusion, he had a shit-eating grin on his face. It earned him a light 'thwack' against the chest as you rolled your eyes.
"Francisco, I swear," you muttered under your breath. Despite your exasperation, you laughed to yourself. Without another word, you grabbed the handle of the stroller and continued down the wall of fresh produce you needed to look through.
Things had been going well between the two of you. Over the last couple of months, the two of you had grown close in a short time. It started small with you dropping by to give Frankie clothes for the baby, or him mowing your grass when he already had the lawn mower pulled out.
Before you knew it, it had become dinner and movies. Long drives around town with a stop for ice cream or some sort of sweet treat you requested. Frankie liked to surprise you late at night, as if he was sneaking around like some love-struck teenager. Not that you were any better with the way you let him climb through your window instead of making him use the door.
Now, you two were practically inseparable. Last night, you mentioned that you needed to go grocery shopping but you dreaded it. This morning, Frankie and his little girl were on your doorstep and ready to help with the task. If you hadn't fallen before, the gesture alone had your heart captive.
Frankie slipped away to grab a few fruits for his daughter, which left you with the baby. Though he was only a few feet away, he kept an eye on the two of you. When you were around, it was hard to keep his focus on anything else.
The remainder of the shopping trip was filled with relaxed conversation and light laughter. It was just easy. Even when the baby woke up, she didn't make a peep. You took her out of the stroller and held her as the two of you finished with the last aisle. You talked to her in a quiet voice, holding up different objects for her to touch and hold. Out of the corner of your eye, you felt Frankie watch you both.
As Frankie loaded all the groceries in the truck, you made quick work with the car seat. Once the baby was settled, you climbed into the passenger seat and sighed to yourself. Today felt like a perfect Sunday. No rush that pushed you through the day.
"Think you could go for a burger before we head home?" Frankie asked as he climbed into the driver's seat. He had the good sense to bring some ice packs for the groceries, which gave leeway with the time you two spent together.
"It's like you read my mind." You reached over to hold his hand, your fingers intertwined with his.
When you were with Frankie, the world felt like it slowed down. You felt yourself loosen up and let yourself live in the moment. He brought out a different version of you, some lovesick fool who couldn't get enough of whatever he had to offer. You wanted to spend every minute you had with him, and it seemed like the feeling was mutual.
Frankie chose a small diner nearby. It was a spot he had taken you a few times before. Though this time it was for lunch— before had been at some odd hour of the night as it transitioned into the morning. It was good for a sleepless night and a stack of pancakes.
You had chosen the booth in the back, the same as last time. It had a window that allowed for a perfect view and it was circle-shaped, which meant you didn't have to have a table between the two of you.
"If it isn't my favorite two lovebirds," Barbara joked. "Can't believe you're here while the sun's out. Figured you two were vampires with your schedules." The waitress, easily in her late sixties, approached the table with two cups of coffee already ready. You grabbed it with a big smile, a thank you tacked on before you took a sip.
"Had to get our coffins fixed up. You wouldn't believe the rates for silk interior nowadays," Frankie easily played along. He looked relaxed, one arm slung around your shoulders and the other rocked the car seat.
"Believe me, Ricky has told me more than enough about the cost of silk interiors. Darlin', if this man starts talking about reupholstering the inside of his car, you run in the other direction," Barbara warned you. She pulled out her notepad as you laughed.
"Frankie would die before he changed something about his truck. I suggested a new air freshener and I almost had to walk home," you chuckled.
"Men and their cars," Barbara rolled her eyes. "The usual for you two?" She looked up to see the both of you nod, as she expected.
As you and Frankie settled into a light conversation— something about your job, you watched the patrons that passed by. It was another perk of the booth; it offered the perfect view for people-watching.
You had tucked yourself into your boyfriend's side when an elderly woman approached the table. She looked small and frail, but she had the sweetest smile on her face.
"I apologize for bothering you two, but I just had to tell you that you make an adorable family. You two remind me of myself and my late husband." Your face warmed at her endearing comment. While you wanted to tell her that you were the baby's mother, and this wasn't the sight she thought it was, Frankie seemed unbothered. If anything, from the corner of your eye, he looked touched.
"Thank you," Frankie smiled. "I'm sorry to hear about your husband." He gently squeezed your shoulder as he spoke.
"Oh, thank you. We would have been married for forty five years this May, god rest his soul. Let me let you in on a little secret." The woman leaned in a bit, her hand on the table to keep herself steady. "Say what you need to say. Saves a lot of anger and hurt. You may get a shoe thrown at your head, but better to get a concussion than divorce papers."
You couldn't stop the laugh that bubbled up inside of you. It was contagious, considering the woman and Frankie followed suit. She gave you both a quick blessing and a 'have a wonderful day' before she hobbled back to her seat.
"We need to start going out on Sunday mornings," Frankie mused. "I guess we've been missing out with all the late night dates."
"You mean you didn't enjoy that run in with the crackhead last week? He made our stop at the lookout far more interesting. Nothing beats looking up at the stars and having to move spots three separate times." You leaned back into Frankie's side as you nursed your coffee.
Frankie rolled his eyes, but you caught the smile on his face. You two had your fair share of wild stories so far, and selfishly, you wanted more. You hoped to one day be in the old lady's spot, talking to two kids in love before you returned to your wrinkly old husband.
Barbara returned with two stacks of pancakes and the assorted sides that came with them. You and Frankie turned the table into a sort of smörgåsbord of breakfast food. While you ate, the baby stirred and grew huffy. Without missing a beat, you reached past Frankie and scooped her into your arms.
Frankie admired you as you talked to his daughter, the way you sat her on your lap and let her play with the rings on your fingers. He knew he made the right choice, letting you into his home and heart that day you came knocking. When you looked to him and caught him staring, you smiled softly. He returned it, and leaned over to kiss your temple.
If this was what his life was going to look like, he was a very, very lucky man.

School dances are for chumps.
If there’s a bigger symbol of the high school popularity contest, Eddie has yet to see it. The whole thing smacks of privilege and self-importance, everyone shoveling money into the corporate machine in order to have the flashiest suit or fanciest dress, to have the limo and dinner at the best restaurant in town, only to go stand in the school gym and writhe to the beat of the world’s blandest music in a sweaty crowd of people you don’t even like, every last one of you screaming in vain, “notice me, notice me!”
It's fucking ridiculous.
“And don’t even get me started on flowers,” Eddie huffs, jamming another fry into his mouth.
“We won’t,” Gareth groans from where he’s slumped over on the lunch table, head pillowed on one outstretched arm.
“Seriously, man, give it a rest,” Jeff says, looking less than attentive himself to Eddie’s impassioned rant. “You’ve been ragging on Prom every day this week.”
“And?” Eddie asks. “I rag on Prom every year, because every year it continues to be the worst.”
“You just seem especially… opposed this year,” Oliver says.
“Well, maybe I feel especially wronged by the institution this year,” Eddie snips back, and a brief, awkward silence descends over the table.
It has nothing on the pause that had come over them when Eddie had first told them he would be repeating senior year yet again. The boys had been stuck somewhere between pity or sympathy, or perhaps uncertainty over whether Eddie needed a pat on the back or cries of outrage in solidarity. Beyond Jeff’s brief attempt at finding a bright side—“You might share some classes with me and Oliver next year. That’d be cool, wouldn’t it?”—none of them had been sure of what to say. The awkwardness had been so stifling that Steve had actually taken the risk of reaching under the table and giving Eddie’s hand a reassuring squeeze.
Now, though, Jeff rallies.
“Still, I’m pretty sure you’ve beaten the subject to death by now,” he says. “I mean, look, you’ve bored Steve into a coma.”

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“I’m guessing that the fact you’re already home will tell me everything I need to know about how your date went.”
You're locking up your apartment when Nico emerges from the elevator down the hall, shoulders slumped and face downcast as he trudges over to his door.
You'd seen him when you got home from work, earlier - dressed in a dinner jacket, hair all styled, shirt tucked neat - and he had told you he had a date. On Valentines Day.
And yeah, your heart had pretty much plummeted to the very core of the earth, but at the very least, you got to see him looking so good - a vision to store in your memory bank for a rainy day, when you're thinking too hard about how close he is, just across the hall, but so far away, only being your neighbour, and all.
And that was only an hour ago. Just enough time to get ready, yourself. Hair curled all nice, makeup done - the sexiest outfit you could possibly throw together, because it's girls night, and you deserve to feel your best.
A good date doesn't last an hour. Doesn't end up with a guy slumping home, hair all mussed from running his hands through it, jacket slung over his arm and his heart crushed into pieces.
"Got stood up," he huffs, reaching into his pocket for his keys, "Said she didn't realise I was a hockey player, and didn't think I had the brain cells to hold a serious, thoughtful conversation for a few hours."
"Ouch," you frown, feeling anger more than pity - because, wow, what a bitch!
"You look nice, though," he throws out the compliment almost as an aside, but you can tell by the way his eyes linger that he means it - fixated on the spot where your skirt ends and meets bare thigh. You're probably gonna freeze, but you're going to get some great pictures for your Hinge profile, so does it really matter? "Didn't realise you had plans."
"Going out with the girls," you tell him, "Galentines, 'cause we're all single this year."
He nods, his gaze trailing back up your body until your eyes meet, torturously slow, only enhanced by the darkened colour of his irises. "Have a good night."
"You should come," you tell him without thinking better of it - hypnotised by the low, sexy tone of his voice. It goes straight through you - almost takes control of you like a puppet on a string.
"I'm not a gal," he frowns, although he makes no move to go into his apartment.
"You're single, though," you shrug, "I don't think they'll be too fussy on the criteria once we get a few drinks in."
"Are you sure your friends won't mind?" he asks, eyebrow wiggling and head tilting in the adorable way it so often does.
You press your lips together as if you're rethinking it, casting your eyes slowly down his figure - broad shoulders, big arms practically bulging through his shirt, slacks clinging to his thick thighs for dear life. Your friends will have the time of their lives with this.
"Considering a night out only won the vote for what to do by fine margins, I think they'll be okay with it." You smile, knowingly, nodding toward the elevator, "C'mon, we don't want to be late."
"I don't get what that means, what came second?"
"Magic Mike." You smirk as you walk backwards, reaching to press the button and laughing when his jaw drops. "You take your shirt off later and we'll be golden."
The poor guy has no idea what he's in for.
--
Your girlfriends don't mind when you and Nico meet them at the bar, not once you've introduced him - his name not ringing a bell until you mention he's from the apartment next door, and you see the flash of recognition wash through them almost like cascading dominoes, knocking each other over one by one.
They don't know him as Nico, he's much more fondly referred to in your group chat as sexy neighbour, after all.
You've only been telling them about him for the past 18 months you've lived across the hall - regaling them with stories of bulging muscles carrying grocery bags for you, compression shirts sticking to him when he comes back from the gym, and the one time the fire alarm went off in summer, and he hadn't thought to put a shirt on when you met out the back of the building.
Yeah, sexy neighbour is pretty much a celebrity in your friend group.
They welcome him with open arms, and the night evolves, as they so often do in your friend group, in highly chaotic fashion.
It starts with a round of shots, because of course it does. The bar is rowdy, the music loud, and those tiny little glasses of you-don't-even-want-to-know-what loosen lips all around. Nico picks up on the dynamic of your group pretty quickly, shifting the shyness he had walked into the establishment with and charming them all with that same dimpled smile he got you hooked on the day you met.
Shots turn into drinking games - chugging cocktails, taking on dares, spilling secrets, and you learn so much about Nico that you would never have known otherwise, so much that you would never have had the guts to ask.
Drinking turns to dancing, which starts in a crowd on the floor, bodies all smushed together, and ends up on tables, Nico by your side the whole time, hooking an arm around your waist so that you don't fall.
You end up bar-hopping to an extent, the second place you go being a little quieter, and you're all way too drunk to stay, so you end up at the karaoke joint further down the street.
Your friends all pick the girls night classics, Man I Feel Like A Woman, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun and there's even a full dance intermission for three of your friends to perform Single Ladies.
You all end up adorning fluffy pink cowgirl hats from god knows where, fluffy feather boas slung from your shoulders, and Nico is suddenly grabbing your hand, dragging you on stage, and handing you a mic before you're fully aware what's going on.
But by then you're too drunk to care, belting What Makes You Beautiful at the top of your lungs with him, still conscious enough to blush when he directs the lyrics towards you - as out of key and awful as they may sound.
And you don't know what happens between that and ending up at the club, bass thumping in your ears, blood pumping, skin sweating, and your back is pressed against his chest. You can still see flashes of feathers in your peripheral, your friends close by, but you can't really focus on anything else.
Anything other than the heat of Mr Sexy Neighbour, himself, flush against you, one of his hands holding yours to keep you steady, the other in the dip of your waist, and his breath warm on your bare neck. You lean into him more than you probably should - more than the sober you of tomorrow will be comfortable with, when you're bumping into him again and unable to look into those pretty eyes - and he leans in right back, nose at the junction where your jaw and ear meets, lips flush against your skin, where you hear him mutter, "I should get you home."
You nod, because what are you supposed to do, speak? With him looking at you like that?
Fat chance of that happening.
And he takes your hand in a firm, clammy grip, doing the rounds between those friends that still remain - the ones he hasn't had a chance to personally see off into a cab - telling them to text him if they need help getting home, and to text you when they eventually make it there.
He guides you practically the whole way home - helps bundle you into the back of a cab, buckling you in for safety and sitting in the middle, where you can lean on him with a heavy head, and your hand in his the whole way.
He throws an arm around you to help you stumble your way through the lobby of your apartment building, holding you up in the elevator and pressing the button for your shared floor. And then he props you up beside your front door, taking your keys from your purse and unlocking the door for you as you watch him with a tired but focused gaze.
God, you want him.
Is the world really so cruel that he would never want you back?
When he finally tries the right key and pushes the door open, he looks over at you, a heated gaze assessing if you're fit enough to send in on your own, and you imagine it's the way you blink slowly at him that tells him you're not.
You were just admiring him, really - your buzz wearing off, and the stumbles added for dramatic effect so that he wouldn't stop touching you - but he doesn't need to know that.
He makes a come here motion with grabby hands, and you practically launch yourself back into his arms, him accepting you with an amused smile as he walks you into your apartment, throwing your purse onto your counter and leaving your keys on the side.
You tug a little to steer him down the hall - in the direction of your bedroom, because if he's gonna play white knight, he may as well go the whole way.
"I had fun tonight," you tell him once he's dropped you off onto the safety of your bed, the bouncing motion only making you slightly dizzy again as you watch him stand before you, hands on his hips. "I don't want to say I'm glad you got stood up, but-,"
"I had fun, too." He tells you, dark eyes landing straight on yours as he slowly lowers, dropping to his knees in front of you and reaching for your leg. He starts unzipping your boots for you, and you watch him with what you can only assume are hearts in your eyes, a slow, dreamy sigh wracking through you.
"Wish I got to see you with your shirt off."
He laughs, in a way that makes his eyes crinkle in the corners and his shoulders shake - genuine amusement flooding through him as he looks back up at you, the angle straight up sinful and sobering.
He holds your other leg behind the knee, large hand warm against your bare skin, and slides your other boot teasingly slow - your gazes locked for the whole manoeuvre - his hand following down your leg until he discards both boots to the side.
He stays down there, kneeling in front of you, staring up at you with the prettiest eyes you've ever seen - a flush to his cheeks and a million thoughts racing through his brain.
You lean forward before you can think, and he meets you half-way in a kiss that's slow - sensual and pressured, firm and assuring - the taste of tequila on his tongue as it swipes against yours, which no doubt tastes the same.
He's the first to pull back, but it isn't all the way - just until your lips smack apart, his nose still pressed to yours as he avoids your chasing with a big grin.
"You're drunk."
"Don't care, wanna kiss you." You just about manage to catch him before he pulls back again.
"Not like this."
And then the touch of him is gone, the bump of his nose and the press of his forehead to yours disappearing in a way that makes you pout.
The way he kisses you again is quick - too quick to react, really - before he retreats again.
"You know where to knock when you're sober."
You let out a groan as you watch him leave, unashamedly watching his ass as he goes, eyes still lingering when he stops at your door and catches you with a knowing smirk.
"Happy Valentines Day, sexy neighbour."

Word Count: 683 Summary: Lee Taeyong was brilliant, sharp, and ran his company like a well-oiled machine. But when it came to you? He was a problem. Pairing: CEO Taeyong X GN Secretary reader
Navigation
Your job description was simple: manage schedules, filter calls, handle emails, and keep your ridiculously wealthy, powerful, and impossibly clingy boss from doing anything that would land him on the front page of a tabloid.
Lee Taeyong was brilliant, sharp, and ran his company like a well-oiled machine. But when it came to you?
He was a problem.
It started subtly—lingering glances, “accidental” brushes of his hand when he handed you documents, the way he always had an extra coffee waiting for you every morning (even though you never told him how you liked it). But it quickly escalated into something else.
Something obsessive.
Like how he mysteriously developed an aversion to any male employees coming within five feet of your desk.
Or how every time you went on lunch break, he just so happened to need urgent assistance with something that could have easily waited.
Or how, when you casually mentioned that you were thinking of going on a date, his entire office went silent.
You had watched, amused and a little terrified, as his usually calm expression went completely blank.
“A date?” he repeated, as if the word personally offended him.
“Yes, Taeyong. People do that, you know. They meet people, they talk, they—”
“With who?” His voice was too even, his fingers tightening around his pen until you were sure it would snap.
You blinked. “That’s not really—”
“Who.”
Okay. This was new. You’d never seen your boss glitch before.
Clearing your throat, you shrugged. “Just someone I met last week. He’s nice.”
The air in the office shifted.
“Nice?” Taeyong said, as if you had just admitted to committing a felony.
“…Yes?”
There was a tense pause before he suddenly leaned back in his chair, his sharp, assessing eyes never leaving yours.
“Cancel it.”
You let out a laugh. “Excuse me?”
“I said cancel it.”
“And why would I do that?”
Taeyong smiled. It was the kind of smile that made stock prices soar and entire industries bow to his will. Unfortunately for him, you were immune.
“Because,” he said smoothly, “I don’t like the idea of my secretary being distracted.”
“Oh, I’m so sorry, sir. I didn’t realize my personal life was now a corporate matter.”
He tilted his head, studying you. “Everything about you is my business.”
You froze.
The office suddenly felt a little too warm, his gaze a little too intense.
You tried to play it off, rolling your eyes. “That’s not how employment works, Taeyong.”
He smirked. “No, but that’s how I work.”
Oh, you were so doomed.
Things only got worse from there.
By “worse,” you meant:
Your date mysteriously canceled on you last minute (you knew Taeyong was behind it, but you had no proof).
A new intern innocently complimented your outfit, and Taeyong personally reassigned him to another department (far, far away).
He installed a state-of-the-art security system in your apartment building without telling you. ("Safety first," he had said, eyes completely unapologetic).
And the final straw?
A business dinner with a foreign investor, where the CEO of another company got a little too friendly with you.
You had been handling it just fine—until you suddenly felt Taeyong’s hand snake around your waist, pulling you flush against his side.
“She’s not interested,” he had said, voice dripping with authority. “And I’d appreciate it if you stopped looking at my secretary like you’re imagining her in something other than her dress.”
The entire table had gone silent.
Your brain? Short-circuited.
And then—because apparently he wasn’t done ruining your life—he leaned in, lips brushing your ear as he murmured, "Only I get to do that."
Game over. You were done.
Later that night, after you had yelled at him (which he had smugly enjoyed), after you had stormed out of his car (which he had personally driven to take you home), you laid awake in bed, staring at the ceiling.
You were in so much trouble.
Because Lee Taeyong wasn’t just obsessed with you.
He was making you dangerously obsessed with him, too.
And honestly? You weren’t sure you wanted to stop him.

masterlist
pairing: boyfriend! seungkwan x girlfriend! reader
prerequisites/warnings: seungkwan crashing out, crazy pre valentines day, jeonghan, dokyeom, minghao cameo, jeonghan to the rescue!!, not proofread
a/n: my valentines day fic :) lowkey switched the title/idol/concept at least 3 times but.. shh its okay enjoy!!! <33
[1.3k words]
third person pov:
seungkwan sat in his apartment in peace. one day till valentines day and he had everything set. restaurant reservation secured, gifts bought, roses to be delivered the morning of, chocolates in the fridge, it was all perfect... till he heard the phone ring. it was the restaurant he made reservations for. "hello?" he says as he picks it up.
"hi" the hostess says in the sing song customer service voice she had when he first called to make the reservation. "I just wanted to call to apologize.. we overbooked and double booked our reservations and yours was one of them. we can have you guys at 9pm? or on another day" she says apologetically.
seungkwan started to panic but tried to keep his composure. "well we were hoping to have dinner at 7 so we could do other things after" he replies. "I'm so sorry on behalf of the restaurant we didn't realize how busy we'd get" she says. "I mean.. 9 is pretty late. put us down for now but we most likely won't be going to you guys at 9. ill call to cancel later if I need" he says before getting a confirmation from the hostess and hanging up.
"shit" he mutters scrolling through his google maps to find another restaurant. "what's wrong?" his roommate jeonghan asks, walking into the living room, snacking on some chocolate. "the restaurant called and pushed back our reservation" he sighs, he keeps scrolling before looking up slowly and realizing what jeonghan was eating. "jeonghan.. what're you eating?" he asks nervously.
"chocolate" he says not realizing what he was doing even offering seungkwan one. "jeonghan.. did it never occur to you that they were in a heart shaped box with y/n's name on it?" he says to which jeonghan's eyebrows shoot up. "shit seungkwan i'm so sorry I was so hungry I didn't even realize"
seungkwan holds his face in his hands trying not to freak out. "can you please go out and get more chocolate?" he sighs as jeonghan nods, grabbing his jacket and heading out. seungkwan calls maybe 8 restaurants trying to get a reservation. of course no place had spots this late in the day and so close to valentines day.
he sighs taking a break not wanting to give up but being absolutely exhausted. he gets a call from the flower company telling him that they ran out of roses. "how?!" he asks genuinely utterly confused. they apologize and he sighs before hanging up.
jeonghan texts him saying he wasn't able to find chocolate and seungkwan texts to keep looking. he starts to panic already running out of restaurants to call. he sighs and is about to call the restaurant telling them to give them the 9pm reservation when jeonghan comes back home empty handed to seungkwan's dismay. seungkwan fills him in on what else had happened.
jeonghan saw how frustrated seungkwan was and got an idea, leaving the house quickly phone in his hand. unknowingly to seungkwan, jeonghan was out calling in favors. seungkwan always had jeonghan's back no matter what the situation was. forgot his lunch? seungkwan venmoed him money, car broke down? seungkwan raced there. it was time for jeonghan to pay back the favor. thank god he knew so many people.
he first went to dokyeom who was luckily a chocolatier. dokyeom worked fast and had already finished his valentines day order when jeonghan had come running in. "hi jeonghan" dokyeom says with a smile. "hi dokyeom I need a box of chocolates, asap. as fast as humanely possible. its for a friend"
dokyeom looks around before agreeing. one thing you should know about dokyeom? he works fast, especially under pressure. "if its for a friend then sure. come back in an hour." he says. "perfect. thank you dokyeom you're a life saver" jeonghan says before running out. he runs to his friend minghao who owned a flower shop.
"minghao?" jeonghan says, completely out of breath from running to his store. "hey jeonghan what's up?" minghao asks, flowers surrounding him as he watered his tulips and succulents. "can I get a bouquet of roses delivered to xxxx street tomorrow morning?" he asks. "yeah I got you" minghao says. "red?" he asks to which jeonghan nods.
while in his panic, seungkwan realized jeonghan had left again but he paid no mind knowing jeonghan wandered. he thinks for a bit and goes to his absolute last resort. he knew y/n didn't love eating out all that much anyway and decides to try to make you dinner at home. he finds a place to do delivery tomorrow night and things start to look up a little.
jeonghan swings dokyeom's place, picking up the chocolates. they looked even better than the ones from the stores. "you're a godsend." jeonghan says before thanking him and running back to his apartment. jeonghan finally gets back to the house, absolutely out of breath but with a box of chocolates in hand. "seung..kwan- I got you your chocolates" seungkwan looks in confusion. "what happened?" he asks.
"don't worry about it. did you figure out dinner?" jeonghan asks, putting the chocolates in the fridge. "I just decided to do dinner at home. y/n dosent love eating out anyway. im deciding between cooking or ordering out. I'll probably order out for her sake." he says to which jeonghan chuckles. "perfect I'll go to seungcheol's place then and you can have the apartment to yourself" jeonghan nods.
"oh you dont have to-" seungkwan starts but jeonghan stops him. "don't worry about it. the apartments all yours." he smiles. "thanks jeonghan you're the best." seungkwan replies. "I just wish the roses would deliver" to which jeonghan giggles a bit. "what?" seungkwan asks his head tilted. "oh dont worry about it just wait till tomorrow" jeonghan says before leaving the room to go to bed leaving seungkwan even more confused, but he nevertheless goes to bed.
the next morning seungkwan wakes up to a call from y/n. "kwannie!! thank you for the roses they're so pretty" she says, her smile being heard through the phone. "oh im so glad" he says looking at jeonghan in confusion. jeonghan just smiles, walking to the living room. "I'll see you tonight right?" seungkwan asks to which y/n hums.
jeonghan reminds seungkwan of the chocolates in the fridge, seungkwan nods taking them out. "holy shit? jeonghan these are gorgeous where'd you get them?" he asks in surprise. "dont worry about it. have fun on your date!" jeonghan ruffles seungkwan's hair before retreating to seungcheols apartment. seungkwan was left in silence for no more than 5 minutes before he hears the doorbell.
he opens it to see y/n standing there in the prettiest pink dress he had every seen. "hi" he says. "hi" she giggles. "you look so pretty" he says, making y/n blush. he quickly pulls out the chocolates. "wow! they're shaped like flowers!" y/n exclaims, seungkwan nods. "I hope you like them" he says. "like them? I love them!" she says hugging seungkwan and giving him a kiss on the cheek.
seungkwan pulls out the last thing, a little box. "sorry its not much but.." y/n opens it pulling out the prettiest pink heart necklace. "its perfect" she smiles as seungkwan helps her put it on. they come to the table as if on cue, the takeout arrives. as they eat y/n just had to ask. "seungkwan this is perfect thank you so much" she smiles. seungkwan smiles back before sighing.
"to be honest.." he starts. "this day was supposed to be so different I- booked a restaurant you liked but they cancelled our reservations and- the chocolates were in a better box but- jeonghan ate them by accident and the roses shouldve been better-" he rambles, y/n quickly stops him. "seungkwan it was all perfect" she giggles. "dont worry about a thing it was all absolutely perfect" she continues. "thank god" seungkwan sighs in relief. y/n brings him in for a kiss. "thank you kwannie" she says with a smile.
"happy valentines day" she says.
"happy valentines day" he replies.

Day 1 of spending no money was a success but idk how much of that can be contributed to me since my grandma paid for my lunch and my dad paid for my dinner 😝
STILL THO I think before I got to bed tn I’m gonna dec out my new bag so I can finally start using it, and I think I’ll put my wallet minus credit cards in there.
I know this won’t be the biggest help since most of my big frivolous purchases happen online but still, i think it’ll be good to at least remind me that I can’t be as careless about it as i used to be.
ALSO I finally got my bathroom all cleaned up and organized 🙏 I knows it’s just one small part of my room but I’m so relieved to have SOMETHING done. I’m still proud of how clean the living room/kitchen is but those are spaces I’m gonna have to continuously clean so I can’t be happy w it for tooo long (esp since I’ll be moving my bedroom shit in there to help w organizing)
REGARDLESS THO I think tmrw im gonna try to focus big time on cleaning my bedroom and closet, calling my dad to see if he can come install some stuff for me, and tidying up in the living room and kitchen before my Roomate comes back
Ghhrrr I’m so ready for everything to be in order, and I *know* that might not be possible to get done, but I’m REALLY hoping I can make a noticeable improvement, once I get the harder parts done it’ll at least be easier for me to finish up the next day 🤙
#also I need to wrap up my shit on TikTok#I’ve saved a bunch of videos but there’s still some collections I wanna look thru before it’s too late#and then I need to organize them SOMEHOW#idk what app would be best storage wise but I deeeff need to do a big photo album purge soon#it’s taking up like at least 40gb of my storage rn and that’s HEINOUS#I also STILL need to finish my widget layout god#that can wait until my real life is clean and organized tho#once that’s done THEN I can go in and organize and clean out my phone#anyways#I think I should do pizza or pork carnitas for dinner tmrw?#OR I split up the dough and make a mini pizza for lunch and carnitas for dinner…#I’ve been toying with the idea of making sliders for my work lunches but idk where to find buns for that#I will need to do a grocery run for my full sized buns anyways tho so hmmm#also this is why I love tumblr as a diary app#I feel like I never talk as much as I do on tumblr#this is how I was always reaching the post limit on here during middle school#I’ve just never felt so free when making a post and then just sending it into the world like I do on tumblr#this must be what it’s like for influencers ugh#god speaking of once I’m done with 1. irl cleaning 2. online cleaning 3. I NEEED to get back to art#like drawing and using my iPad yes but also looking into art jobs or at least ways I can get involved in the art world#I might want to look into new jobs anyways but I think I need to find a way to incorporate art into my life again#I feel like it’s taken such a backseat in my life and I rlly hate when that happens#I think I’ve started pushing it aside when I have relationships to take care of now that I’m out of hs but I think I need to find a way to#balance both#work life art balance like I think this is so doable#maybe I do need a planner or graph or something to get all my priorities straight hmm#OHHHH MY VISION BOARD FUCK#I need to make my vision board#I’ll work on my bag and then I’ll get started on my vision board layout ugh#jan 25

CW: unreality
Vent: kinda
I heard voices kind of in my ear today, I don't really know exactly why
I feel maybe it's happened before, but I couldn't give an example of a time that it has.
I pretty sure this was after I had gone outside.
My dad told me I should probably go outside since I like the wind a lot.
I went outside and my brother went outside with me. And we looked around. Because of the storm and hurricane that happened some things like leaves and branches were out. But it wasn't raining anymore.
My brother told me about a big piece of tree that fell near the neighbors house.
Then I wanted to say something about cutting down trees, but my brother kept telling me no. And cutting me off. All he wanted to say was that some peoples internet was out.
I turned around be he was already leaving.
So I just started crying.
When people leave like that it feels really bad. And I just felt like I did something really wrong.
I stayed out side for a while and I went back inside but I was still crying about it.
I did stop and I got back to working. We had school at home today.
I was just thinking to myself, but then I heard sounds that were like words in my ears when I was thinking. And I didn't really sound like thinking. But then it just stopped. It was pretty strange
I don't have this happen to me often or at all. So I'm not sure why it did. Or than that I've been pretty stressed lately.
CW: eating strangely,, in tags. I just didn't want to put it up there

i had to make a solution for this for myself, mostly because of depression, but it makes a nice How To for folks who are low on spoons or could use some help in the kitchen.
Fortunately i was a professional cook for over a decade. UNfortunately the first post i made explaining it was suuuuper long. Let's see if i can do better
So you select any protein that you can cook in a frying pan -- chicken breasts, ground beef, pork chops, sausages, steak, chicken thighs, whatever. You also select one or two types of veggie (mushrooms or tubers also work, i just did this with potatoes and carrots for dinner tonight).
[i like cooking for vegetarians, but this is how i cook for myself when i'm low on spoons - perhaps i'll do another post for meatless meals]
You'll also need some kind of oil, and a sauce or two of your choice in a bottle. All cooking gear is a large frying pan with lid (i prefer non-stick) a spatula, a cutting board, and a knife.
You cut the veggies into bite size pieces, cut up enough for two meals. One kind of veggie is fine, or you can do mix two or three
Tumblr media
Put frying pan on medium heat with a little oil. Tubers or mushrooms or go in the pan a few minutes before the protein. 2 portions of the protein goes in the pan, about 5 minutes with lid (don't worry you can still get a good sear on both sides)

Tumblr media
Now flip your protein if it's flip-able and add normal veggies, put the lid back on another five-ish minutes.

Take your protein out and put it with one portion of the veggies in a microwave safe container. That's going to be your lunch tomorrow. Put the other portion of protein on a plate to rest (you have to let a cooked protein sit a couple minutes before you serve it or when you cut into it all the juices run out and it goes dry - the liquids thicken as it cools, preventing this drying out if you let it rest, the goal is to serve it very warm but not hot hot)
While it's resting, pour some sauce from your bottle in the pan with the rest of the veggies and turn up the heat. A single sauce/bottle is fine, i like to get fancy and mix a couple. Two examples of personal favorite mixes are 1: bbq sauce and a hot sauce like sriracha 2: roughly equal parts low sodium soy sauce and worcestershire (makes something similar to a teriyaki sauce) A swallow of wine is almost always a great option if you want to add that to your sauce too, just add it to the pan before the other sauces so the alcohol has time to burn off.

...
Here is the important bit. While your veggies are finishing, wash your cutting board and chef knife. Then when you dump your veggies and sauce over your protein on the plate, while it is still too hot to eat, you wash your frying pan and spatula before you eat. Now the only dishes you have left to do are your plate and fork. Maybe a steak knife.
...
The whole thing takes about 35 minutes even with washing the dishes, and that includes your lunch for the next day- just pour a different sauce on and stick it in the microwave for a couple minutes (or five minutes back in the frying pan) and you have a full healthy lunch with a different flavor
You can use this technique every single meal and it yields hundreds of combinations, from pork and potatoes bbq, to salmon and broccoli teriyaki, to chicken and zucchini in a soy glaze.
It will keep you down to less than an hour of kitchen time per day total for both lunch and dinner including all dish clean up, uses the least dishes, the least effort, requires the least technique, and is, depending on what you pick out, very affordable
here are a couple more examples from this month; i didn’t take pictures of the salmon i did recently, but you get the idea

it's not super fancy, but it is easy, affordable, quick, and any flavors you want. Hope this helps some folks
Happy Cooking!

Simon "Ghost" Riley is the kind of man who:
In your shared home, always sits with his legs spread. Manspreading king. Adores it when you cross your arms and give him a disapproving look, saying there's no room for you. "Course there is, luv. Jus' sit between my thighs."
Refuses to let you do simple tasks around the house, like making tea, folding his underwear, or putting away the dishes. One might think it's a sweet, husbandly gesture - but he's just super picky. You made tea in the microwave once, and now you're banned from ever touching his tea stash. Likes his underwear folded in a specific way, and you don't understand the importance of it. He got tired of you stuffing his underwear in his drawer, so now he folds it himself. And the dishes? Couldn't stand how you put them away. "There's no rhyme or reason to 'em." "I didn't think there had to be, Si-" "Just gimme the damn bowl." Fewer chores? You aren't complaining.
Looks like he's always on edge - and he is, kinda. When he's out with you, he can't help but be alert and watchful, and extremely protective of you. You've tried to get him to loosen up - it's the supermarket, what could happen? - but have just come to accept it as his nature. Plus, you get that giddy feeling when you see other men look straight down at the floor, avoiding Simon's stare as the two of you pass.
Is the grumpiest, poutiest, and most indignant man ever when he gets sick. Doesn't want you doting on him in case you catch whatever he has. But, wait - where are you going? "Get your ass back in this bed - 'm cold." Grumbles like a child when you force him to let you get up to grab him soup, tea, or medicine. And no, he doesn't care how sick he is, he's not wearing that stupid, floppy ice pack hat.
Brings Johnny over unannounced, and you've grown used to it. The moment you hear that Scottish yapping out the front door as the key unlocks, you grab a third plate for dinner - he insists you don't need to feed him, but you always make extra for Simon's lunch the next day regardless, and the last time he'd said that, he ended up grabbing an extra fork and picking from Simon's plate. Which, of course, had Simon up at 1 am making instant ramen because he was still hungry, but didn't have the heart to ask you to make him a decent meal. So, yes, Johnny would be fed.
Loves spoiling you on your birthday. What is a man if not someone who spoils his partner rotten? Orders in food from your favorite bakery, sets all your presents neat and nice on the table (the excellent wrapping job done by yours truly, Gaz), flower petals sprinkled on the ground and the table top (also Gaz's idea), and a seat on his lap so for you while you open your presents. Loves watching your face light up, and each little "you remembered?!" fall from your lips as you open each gift. Scoffs and shifts in his seat. "I's not that much of a fuss, luv..." as you squeal excitedly, but you know he's biting back a proud smile. The blush, he can't even attempt to hide.
Is somehow a magnet for your young nephews. Every time he comes along to your sister's place, he's either making conversation with her husband in the living room, or he's interrogated and cornered by her two sons. And, lord help him, he doesn't understand it either. He'd always expected kids to look at him like a monster, but, especially with these two, that was never the case. They'd ask him for stories about "being in war" - half of the time, he'd make up some not-too-gory adventure, sparing them the details of real war. The rest of the time, he'd talk about "Soap, my mate who blows everything up." And they'd listen with wide eyes and jaws on the floor.
Has scared you unintentionally, more than too many times. He'd come home at three in the morning from a mission, and all he wanted was to quietly peel his dirty uniform off and slip into bed with you. His main intention was to avoid waking you up, because you'd force him to shower before joining you in bed - and he was too tired for that. However, you'd been rounding the corner, up for your 3 am glass of water - you screamed as you saw the hulking, dark figure by the front door, launching your phone at him. He'd caught it effortlessly and shoved it into his back pocket. "What've I told ya 'bout using the bat?" "I was just getting water!" "I coulda been anyone." "Well you're not." "Missed ya, luvie." "Missed you too- but you're grimy. Go take a-" "No." He grabbed you and threw you over his shoulder, ignoring your protests as he hauled you back to bed.
