It’s funny when the DC fans get annoyed that half the fandom hasn’t kept up with the entire extended DC universe and know everybody’s stories and backstories and different versions and shit

Danny Phantom had 3 seasons of 20 minute episodes and a handful of comics and most of us haven’t even seen that (and do not intend to 🙌)

#fun story: in 2018 we went to interview ex-president jimmy carter #and I had a bit of an odd feeling in my throat #august 24 2018 i remember that date well #because that was the first signs of an illness that annihilated me #i blacked out for most of the month of september- i only have very sparse memories #i had a strange kind of pneumonia the doctor hadn't seen before #and over those 6-7 months they threw every single anti-anything they could at me #IDK if I slept so well because of the knockout effects of all the antibiotics and antivirals #or because I had a recurring fever and a chronic brutal cough for 6-7 months and was terribly weak by the end #but i was sleeping so deeply the more pills they added #and now i know i can function with a 102 fever on and off for months on end #everyone- family and coworkers- also made fun of me for insisting on wearing a mask but guess what bitches #when the pandemic rolled around i still had 2 unopened boxes from being sick a year before and those were worth more than toilet paper #lita #love in the air #prapai #sky #prapaisky #true facts: I don't remember writing one of my own fics #it was during the blackout month and i refuse to read it because i think it's funnier that i don't know what it's about #i also had to work- it was one of our biggest events that we do every 4 years #two weeks straight of 14 hour days with no weekends #and i was there every single day #i have no memory whatsoever and when we did the event again in 2022 the organizers kept saying 'oh wow you're alive!'#i like to say i had the BEST time because it's a tedious af event and everyone is surly by the end #but from MY pov i was trapped in dense fog and couldn't breathe; trapped in that twilight feeling when you're neither awake nor unconscious #and then when it passed I had a nice paycheck in my account without any of the mental strain of working for it #watch

Which one of Shakespeare's books would you recommend to someone who hasn't read any of his works before?

I mean that’s completely a matter of personal taste, the first Shakespeare play I’ve ever read in school was The Tempest and tbh I really didn’t like it—so luckily even if you start off with a play you don’t like, that doesn’t mean you’re doomed forever to dislike Shakespeare.

These videos were my real introduction to Shakespeare, so if you wanna get quick little summaries of some of Shakespeare’s most famous plays and see what appeals to you, you can now easily do that

#I personally love almost all the tragedies #King Lear. Hamlet. Coriolanus. Othello. Macbeth. Titus Andronicus.#I’m ok with Romeo and Juliet but it’s not really in my top tier of Shakespeare’s works #And for comedies I’m gonna be really basic and say Twelfth Night is the best #Most of his comedies are more depressing than his tragedies #Most of his tragedies are much funnier than his comedies #Both of those statements are true and any shakespeare fan out there can back me up #Hamlet’s hilarious. One day I'm literally gonna snap and make a whole post addressing why what's wrong bc I'm tired of the inaccuracy and tired of ppl not understanding the Point TM of IDW and its version of the Matrix/Primacy and even more tired of people putting down Optimus in favor of Rodimus by essentially arguing that being unworthy means you deserve to be punished/put in pain bc you just weren't good enough to hold the Symbol of Ultimate Authority

#it's wrong on so many levels both in terms of lore and as well as like what the general themes of idw1 are #it's just a validation contest using the matrix as some magical symbol to decide who's the most special #which is ironically something that was a plot point in exrid/OP. specifically how stupid of an idea that is ldskjflksd #ppl revealing that they havent read anything besides mtmte/ll as usual #like half the reason ppl think optimus is a bad prime and rodimus is a good prime is literally bc like #optimus was written by an author who was specifically trying to deconstruct him (sometimes to the point of absurdity)#and rodimus was written by an author who takes a more optimistic/idealistic approach. and is also better at writing #but also like am i seriously the only person who thinks that that argument is fucked up?????#like 'OP felt pain which means he's unworthy/not a real prime/not a true leader'#ok so you think that there's a hierarchy of moral goodness in which anyone who falls short of that Moral Ideal should suffer #as a sign of their unworthiness?? like does that not sound dystopian as hell to any of you?? why would you WANT the matrix to work like tha #even if the theory were true (which it isn't) why would you view the matrix as a good authoritative moral judge of character #if its idea of 'moral judgement' is to inflict pain on anyone who's supposedly not truly good/worthy #wasn't the entire point of the ending of LL (including rodimus being a good leader) that everyone is worth it?#like rodimus literally said 'you ARE damn well good enough' or something like that #so what? everyone else in the universe tries their best and that's enough but somehow when OP suffers it's like #a sign that he's not actually a good prime/leader?? we're really going with the punitive perspective purely for One Guy??#swear to god ppl are projecting their authority issues onto Optimus the way they shit on him for things they would excuse #if any other character did it #Optimus is uniquely deserving of pain/being marked as unworthy bc idk he was a cop once and that offends my delicate sensibilities #what's even funnier is how much harm was inflicted by rodimus as a captain sheerly due to his stupidity or ego but everyone forgives him #i guess bc as long as the matrix likes him that means he's valid no matter what he actually does as a person #WHICH IS SOMETHING IDW ITSELF ARGUED AGAINST BC A LOT OF THE PRIMES THAT WERE CHOSEN BY THE MATRIX #WERE DICKS AND THE FACT THEY COULD WIELD THE MATRIX DIDN'T MAKE THEM GOOD PEOPLE #like oh my god stop using the matrix as an arbiter of moral authority in idw1 it literally goes against the themes of the story #including the themes that are embodied in rodimus himself #idw op love

my absolute favorite thing about resident evil games is that the goofy architectural contraption puzzles are just a universal constant no matter the time or location

#i think about them so much #infinite comedic potential #ok i think maybe re6 kind of didnt have them nearly as much?? its been ages since i played it but it seemed much more fast paced than the #rest so #imagine making a delivery and not knowing where tf to enter and youre on the phone with them and theyre like ok yeah no #you need to go to that place and retrieve this bas relief piece #yeah theres a couple more in other places after that- wait no dont leave ill tip extra #also the ever constant question of who the fuck builds them #my main theories are 2: either its 1 guy/guy and his descendants or smth that just made that their line of work and got a name in the field #so every mansion-owner antagonist wannabe knows who to rely on if you want to get your shit done well #or 2 its always someone different and they just get lured to each remote ass place with the promise of a huuuge pay for #very specific silly requests #they probably just get axed or worse at the end of the job but itd be even funnier if they didnt #they just do it and get a nice pay and that just becomes a funny story to tell their buddies #like yeah man this one time i got a job in some backwater ass village asked me to built some stupid doors with puzzles and shit but hey #the pay was good #but yeah tldr its the best thing ever i wish irl buildings had that shit

#you see i have a lot of feelings and opinions on how many people we kill in Inquisition #Cygnus also has many feelings about it and is constantly weighed down by the amount of people he has to kill. self defense or not #honestly i keep putting that guy through worse and worse shit #he lost his entire sense of self in the span of a month #he constantly plagued by the fears and worries about how his story will be told after he's dead #how his image might be twisted or used and he's as powerless to stop it as he was from the beginning #and then also he has to kill. all the time. for what he has to convince himself is the greater good #even though he doesn't believe in the Maker. and he saw what the Chantry did to Ameridan. and what it keeps doing to everyone else #Also Trespasser is a whole ordeal you can imagine how he felt learning history and context he didn't have before #and then learning his friend and companion is also trying to destroy shit. the shit he JUST fixed #even funnier is i v much gave him a humorous/sarcastic personality so he's just doing his best to make everyone like him #is it working? who knows.#his one strength is like being a people person and taking care of others and so he's decent at leading but like #doesn't mean he wants to do it he kind of hates it all the time always and wants to go home #ok ok im done talking im sorry i have him on my mind rn #man. i need to finish his actual character sheet
