“Dismissed,” Zelda spoke, waving her guards off. “Thank you,” she added, smiling to each of them, before the doors were closed behind them. Without a hitch, Zelda swept Ravio up into a bridal carry. “To the couch?” she asked, and Hilda didn’t bother fighting the blush that crept up her neck and warmed her cheeks.

“Let’s,” she agreed, focusing her attention on her unwell friend, clearing the couch of all cushions but one for Ravio’s head. Zelda set him down carefully, setting the back of her hand over his forehead. Her lips twisted, and Hilda followed suit. She hadn’t noticed before, but Ravio had grown warm with fever; no wonder he was so weak.

“He’s feverish,” Zelda murmured.

“I didn’t realise. Oh, Bun…” She took his hand, squeezing tightly and wishing she had known sooner. Sheerow pressed closer, squeezing into the crook of Ravio’s neck and nuzzling against him to comfort. Ravio’s unfocused eyes wouldn’t meet hers.

“What has happened?” Zelda asked, fetching a washcloth and basin of water. “You look terrible,” she added as she wetted the cloth, squeezed out most of the water before setting it over Ravio’s forehead, pulling a relieved sigh from him. “And where is Link? Why is he not taking care of…” Zelda trailed off as a whimper escaped Ravio, his eyes watering all over again. She turned to Hilda, eyes wide, and Hilda shook her head, mouthed we’ll talk about it later.

“Okay, it’s okay,” she quieted Ravio’s whimpers and soft sobs, brushing his hair out of his face. “We’re here now, and we’ll take care of you, alright?”

Ravio hummed. Sniffled.

“I’ll get you some chamomile,” Hilda said, slipping over to the little kitchenette, where a pot of boiled water already awaited her. Zelda did love her tea, and fondness for the other girl warmed her bones as she set to work scooping out the chamomile, setting it in a little strainer in a clean mug and pouring hot water over it. “I won’t be a minute, Bun.”

“Let me get my hairbrush. When was the last time you brushed your hair?” Zelda chastised him lightly. No heat lay behind her words, and it wasn’t a moment before Zelda was helping Ravio to sit up again, refreshing his washcloth and guiding him to hold it against his head while she began to pull his hair back and away from his face.

As Hilda made her way back over and passed Ravio the mug of steaming chamomile sweetened with honey, Zelda began to run the brush through his hair, careful and tender, wary of catching on a knot and hurting him. Hilda took the cloth from Ravio and refreshed it again, using the corner to clean his face, still tear-stained from his earlier breakdown. Zelda worked her magic swiftly and was securing Ravio’s hair into a fishtail braid before he finished half his cup of tea. Hilda encouraged him to lean against her again, wrapping an arm around his shoulders, smiling when his head fell against her shoulder, when he buried his face into her neck. Accepting comfort.

Zelda pressed against his other side once she was finished with Ravio’s hair, taking his hand and twining their fingers together, a reassurance. Enveloped by the two of them and the blanket of his exhaustion and illness, it wasn’t long before Ravio drifted off against Hilda. She smiled as his breathing evened out, tucked a stray lock of hair behind his ear that had found its way out of Zelda’s firm braid.

got this reblog on one of my posts were i talked about being anxious about the future of the zelda series after totk and-

i even went back and unblocked them just to check my own post and check twice what they meant exactly- but i still dont know how they got to these conclusions

i never said i 'want a good uwu ganondorf' (bc that would mean hes aligned with hyrule bc thats how goodness works!!!!11!1!!!), i also dont think of any of the zeldas as 'whores' (seriously, where did that come from?? neither me nor the addition of someone agreeing with me said anything like that??? did they think bc the addition called tloz misogynistic means we think zelda is a whore????? huh???)

its also funny how they say they want zelda to stay a simple fairytale rather than have 'people like me' bc .. one point i talked about in the og post was how the evil arab thing VS good white people media likes to do so much is so normalized here that its simply seen as a simple harmless fairytale trope instead of a big underlying issue in general media and the writers might not even realize it (which is worse) bc the most 'generic' appeal is to people who dont think of it as a problem in the first place, because it is so normalized

(huh, i wonder about what kind of person that part was about .. hmmmm)

(ALSO funny they mention princess hilda as nuanced villain ... like ... wow they are so nuanced about purple haired people!!- like guess why we want a nuanced/less badly/less flat written ganondorf and what he, in particular, has not in common with other villains! its not his hair color! .... or was that point supposed to mean .. look we have one female character that is a villain, its not misogynistic! idk honestly)

also funny how its 'never gonna be progressive enough' like asking for the franchise to maybe put a little more thought and nuance into their white divine right vs evil desert man simulator instead of making it worse is already asking too much

(also yes totk is racist, like most if not all of the franchise and a alot of other media as well, shocker- you can still like it though, i and plenty of other people are still fans of it, we just wish they did a little more with their stuff and maybe not make the racism problem WORSE)

they'd be terrible to be next to on the highway. horror's going 160 mph amd has long past gone over the speed limit. dust's out for BLOOD and by blood i mean your tires. he's somehow sniping those round rubber wheels from the high moving vehicle with the precision of a master fruit ninja player. if your car explodes or flips over in the process that's not his fault. and then to make matters worse for everyone on the highway killer's in the backseat scratching up the doors and windows of your car with a knife everytime horror gets close to another car and oops he accidentally just disfigured your face also did i mention theyre all drunk during this

ok so theyve all got the classic face WHY DONT THEY ABUSE IT!!!! horror gets to do a little paper mache to cover up his head hole and then wearing glasses. killer i dont know what the FUCK he can do to get rid of his perpetual tears but let's just pretend that theyre conveniently gone for now. and then all dust has to do is put down his hood! anyways identity theft is cool. imagine how much they could totally fuck up classic's reputation with this. set up fake tinder profiles and then scam people for their credit card info/free dates (while ordering every expensive thing) and stealing wallets. walking into various grillby's's around the multiverse and telling terrible jokes. like ACTUALLY bad jokes. and then of course just being a huge piece of shit at the bar. god theres so many things they could do pretending to be classic. which one of us is hikaru looking ahh except the only difference between the three is the color of the stains on their clothes (either gray (dust) black (killer) or red. well faded red (horror))

ROBBERY!!!! ROBBERIES PLURAL!!!??? train robbery gas station robbery bank robbery GOVERNMENT robbery (what would you rob the government for?? documents??? idk) anyways. mtt robbing a train except its just a really shitty plan and they dont know jackshit about what theyre doing. killer's taken over the conductor's cabin and now he is booking it. how fast are trains allowed to go idk but the maximum. anyways meanwhile horror's on the tracks fucking up the rails with his strength or whatever (listen i know he's weak but picking and choosing what hcs i believe in is my art) and dust is there to teleport him away before the train crashes into him and turns him into a trolley problem victim. and then of course that shit doesnt fucking work and the train just ends up flipping over and catching on fire or something (killer survives because of course he does he's killer). and then in the end dust just has to flip the entire train over and they just stroll into the part that actually HAS the money

and then they go out and get ice cream. sometimes the murderers need to take a break from murdering and just do NORMAL crime yk???
