This is the fourth time you've gone on a date with some weird guy. They keep getting worse every time. Your first date couldn't stop talking and not letting you say a word, followed by your second one, who didn't want to pay for his food, and your third one, well, he couldn't stop calling you insecure—when you weren't. If your friend sets you up on another one, you might as well just go for the first one.

She shows you Instagram profiles of other boys who find you interesting—from what she's heard by others. You interrupt her and slightly push her phone away from your face.

"Y/N, trust me, they're not going to be as bad as the others!" She urges.

"You said that last time. I'm done, Danielle." You clicked on the top of your pen and started jotting words down on your wooden desk.

'I'M DONE WITH LOVE!'

You pointed out your writing on the table to Danielle, making her roll her eyes.

'Wow, emo. Are you heartbroken?'

Those were the words that were written below yours in blue sharpie when you walked into class the next day. You pulled out a pen and wrote down your response next to theirs.

'Not really. Men just irritate me. Speaking of which, are you a guy?'

Danielle walks in and sits next to you, observing that you're not only writing on your table but also smiling ear to ear.

"What's got you smiling now?"

"Look," you say, tapping on the ink engraved on the table, "someone replied to my vandal." She leans in to read your messages.

"Very modern," she sarcastically remarks. "Who knows, that could be the love of your life."

"You're crazy. What 'love of my life' are you talking about? We don't even know anything about them."

She nudges your arm after she puts her notebooks on her desk. "But, Y/N, admit it. You're excited," she teases.

Leehan eagerly walks into class as it is about to start and quickly sits down in his seat to look at your response. He grins and looks around to see if any of his classmates saw him.

He waited for everyone to leave after his class ended. His friend urges him to leave with him so they'll do their project, but all he replies is that he'll follow along. As his friend left, he popped off the cap of his sharpie and replied to your message.

'Not all men, I'm different from them.'

You looked at the message and started writing your response as you waited for your teacher to start class.

"What if we skipped our next class? So we can see who's answering your messages," Danielle suggests.

"No way. We're going to be absent from our next class just because you're curious about who's answering."

"Nuh uh, it's for love."

From there, your conversations continued, with more of yours and his other friends being invested in this so-called love series.

'Really now?'

Danielle grabs your pen right after you finish writing, continuing your message with her writing.

You thought the conversation ended there. It's been days since you last wrote that, and the ink is starting to fade. Danielle lost hope as well until the end of the week.

UPDATED: Yes. I redownloaded IDV a while ago and finished the new story quests and unfortunatly by the time i am writing this, i don't remember everything clearly, so if this has any information wrong, i apologize 😭 (lately i haven't been playing either (by lately i mean months))

-At first, you had 0 idea what to expect. Your boyfriend got sent a letter inviting them to a mysterious manor and he had to go alone. You were worried for him, considering the events of his past, but you let him on his way.

-It only took a few weeks for you to recieve a letter similar to what Norton recieved — from the same manor. It mostly contained that you are invited to the manor for reasons the writer rather not disclose trough a letter.

-Considering this was the same letter that made Norton leave, you immedieatly grabbed your suitcase and started to pack a few clothing items you deemed fit.

-The ride towards the manner was long —making you nervous by every second that passed. Would you see Norton again? Did something happen to him? What is it that this mysterious person wanted to talk with you about? Aswell as with a few others who would be present?

-When you finally arrived infront of the manor, you took a deep breath. Not too sure if you were ready to hear or see what was going on inside said manor. You walked up to the door and knocked, waiting for a few seconds (Which felt like hours in your point of view) and the door opened.

-A butler opened the door. Not saying anything aside your name as a question. Wanting to confirm it was actually you.

-You nod and give the old-looking man your invite, to which he nodded and let you inside. A maid bowing infront of you slightly as a greeting, before saying that she'll be your guide, and that you were free to ask questions whenever you wanted.

-You felt like you wanted to burst into words, you had so many questions. But anxiety has sewn your mouth shut, unable to mutter a single word besides an affirmation to the maid and following her to your temporary residence.

-The tour tooj atleast 1,5 hours in your opinion. The whole manor was... giant, in your words. You asked questions here and there to the maid, to which she either responded... or not. Which made your gut feel weird, but you shrugged it off.

-You already met a few people already. Like Mr. Kreiburg...But you wouldn't actually call it a meeting. As you reached out your hand and tried to introduce yourself, he only picked up his cane and moved your hand away from him before walking past you, his face only being... sour. Quite the asshole, you thought.

-Ms. Plinius, the entomologist you saw outside the small garden of the manor. For being such a big house, the garden was for sure small to your standards. But Ms. Plinius atleast didn't... shrug you off first chance she got. She simply introduced her and went back to examining... or atleast that's what you thought she was doing with the bees.

-You also met Orpheus. He was nice. He actually conversed with you for a bit. You found out that he was a writer of some kind, and that he's mostly at the manor because of this.

-You also met Ms. DeRoss. Or how she preferred — Alice. She was also nice. She conversed with you for a bit aswell. She was a journalist, that's what you found out about her.

-As you continued to walk around the manor, trying to see if there was anyone else, you had no luck. When you peeked inside the last room and you didn’t see anyone, you sighed.

-Wasn't Norton invited here? Why isn't he here then? You were confused. And mostly scared for your lover.

-You decided to shrug it off. You were already tired from all that travelling you did during the day, the meetings —Good or bad—, the tour.

-You ate dinner with the invited people who... participated in the dinner, because Mr. Kreiburg... was missing. As it seemed like it was a common occurance for him to not attend, he usually asked his food to be brough to his room appearently.

-After you were done, you said your good night's to everyone and went to your room. Your luggage being next to the small space next to the bed, as you picked it up and placed it on the table, rummaging trough it for your nightly wear.

-When you found it, you tried to change as quickly as possible to be able to get more rest that your body and consciousness craved at this point.

-Tomorrow morning, you were woken up by a sharp knock on your door. The person on the other side for sure knew how to wake someone up... You called out a 'come in' in a sleepy tone stretching as your body popped here and there from the movement.

-The butler from before came in. He informed you that breakfast would be starting soon, and that you should probably gather yourself together for the day. You yawned and nodded in response. The butler soon walked out when he saw your nod — giving you your privacy.

-You stood up, going to the bathroom to wash your face. After that, you went to your luggage still on the table, opened, and picked out your next outfit for the day.

-You opened the door and walked out, closing it behind you as you saw someone with black hair and a... hat of some kind walk down the stairs? It was... a green or grey. You couldn't really tell from how fast they rushed down the stairs.

-You shrugged it off, walking downstairs in your own pace and walking to the dining table.

-When you arrived, you looked around. Alice, Ms. Plinius, Orpheus... and Norton?

-So he was actually here! Your heart felt like it could burst open from happiness any second now. You wanted to scream in happiness, but no. You couldn't. You were with people who were technically still strangers.

-Norton did notice and recognize you too. His reaction simply being his eyes widening than narrowing to his usual look. He always had a better poker face than you — that you both knew.

-But for some reason, there was no space set in the table next to Norton... So you simply put your fingers on the satin that was under the plate, and pulled it infront of the chair next to Norton, sitting down beside him.

-You took your food and while you did, everyone besides Norton stared at you weirdly for a bit. Why did you... sit next to Norton? They barely managed to get his name out of him (which was actually given by the butler) but you sit next to him? The most anti-social person besides Kreiburg?

-They were confused to say the least. But... hey. You do you. They guess.

-While everyone was eating, talking, Alice noticed that Norton was... actually talking to you? Sure, she couldn't hear what you two were conversing about, but Norton was definitely going on and on about something.

-Did you two know eachother? Probably. No. Most definitely. Norton hasn't spoken a single word to anyone, yet he is actively talking to you. You two definitely knew eachother from somewhere.

-Alice looked over to Orpheus as he was talking to Ms. Plinius, slightly nudging him with her elbow and she signalled to the pair of you with her eyes.

-Orpheus kept talking to Ms. Plinius, making an act of as if they weren't watching the two of you, while he glanced at the both of you from time to time. Nobody could tell, but Ms. Plinius took the hint aswell and noticed the same thing as Orpheus and Alice.

-It was as if the two of you were friendly with eachother. Maybe even more.

-But they couldn't do much at the moment... they might ask you two... or more specifically you of your relationship with him later.

The short version: The story is abt a young man leaving his life behind and joining a bunch of angels, but its not what he thought it'd be like and he regrets it and goes on the run for a long time.

The long version: The angels, known as Watchers, are known to watch players, only interacting to give them new things and updates, or punish them for breaking rules, such as being greedy.

They originally did not like Grian, seeing him as too robust, but over time he catches their (many) eyes, a diamond in the rough... He shows many characteristics of a promising Watcher, he enjoys setting pranks and stalking people, finding entertainment in explosions and traps, and always craving more.

So they start talking to him, they usually don't speak directly to players, only leaving notes, but they talk to him, he's special they say. He calls them the Audience.

The Watchers talk to him often, giving him compliments on his building skills, on his pranks, or they just listen as he rambles abt his life.

Grian is an orphan, I mean he is 25 at this point in time, but he grew up without parents. He has a little sister he took care of, but shes also grown now. Theres a small part of him that has grief over this, that ache, or longing, to have grown up with a regular family, to be taken care of. The Watchers catch onto this, its their job really to notice. They already think of him as a child, but they start acting more familial now, asking if he ate, or slept, or checking him over for any scratches, (much like a mother would--but he swallows these thoughts down, insisting this is how angels are to every player, but its not true, they let him know how much potential he has, so promising ! so special !)

That small part of him really starts to ache and grow.

This isn't the only thing the Watchers do though, they also make a tiny little effort to separate him from other players, quietly isolating him so the transition will be easier. It works, Grian notices his friends not coming around as often, they're probably busy, so he doesn't want to bother them. This goes on for awhile, any negative thought Grian expresses, the Watchers will agree with, in a gentle way... Sometimes people grow apart.. Sometimes you outgrow people.. Its for the better. He festers in these ideas, sometimes just laying on the stone floor of his basement, having not spoken to anyone in days. He looks forward to when the angels come around, even if they're just small floating eyes, sometimes a hand will split through reality and ruffle his hair. (if he leans into the touch, he doesn't realize)

Grian thinks that small aching part of him has outgrown his body.

One day, after who knows how long, the Watchers encourage him to meet up with his fellow players again. He questions why, but they tell him it'll be good for him to go play, theres a portal for them all to go through, a dragon on the other side. Its actually quite nice talking to everyone again, a bit awkward, but they're joking around, and when they find the portal, Grian jumps in before anyone can finish speaking. He was always rather impulsive ! He jumps through and stands alone on a platform, laughing to himself in the dark void, waiting for everyone else to go through. But no one does, the Watchers didn't tell him he'd be alone after jumping through, separated from the group, he feels abandoned. That ache rises again, hurt and anger twisting together, forming embarrassment. The Watchers were right in telling him he doesn't have anyone else to rely on, but them. So he does his quest, he kills the dragon by himself, an arrow between its eyes and it hits the ground behind him, dragging.

Hes sweaty, his clothes are burnt and torn, he's exhausted and he just wants to go home and climb in bed, no matter how dirty he is right now, but before he can go through, an angel statue catches his attention, it slowly moves off its pedestal, having watched his entire fight.

He didn't realize how tall they were off the pedestal, they also wear dark clothes that hide their faces and form, but two large dark wings peak out, its not exactly expected from angels. (Grian is 5'0, every Watcher towers over him)

They talk, and She offers him a place with the Watchers, if he wants to join them..... He's tired, hes hurt, and he's still mad at everyone, how could he say no ? He agrees.

Upon becoming a Watcher and being welcomed into a new world, he gets a haircut, he gets new clothes, and he gets a new room. The buildings rly are beautiful here, he gawks at the architecture, THIS is what he wanted, what he craved, he wanted to do this work too, the tools he could get his hands on has him bouncing on his heels and barely paying attention to the Watcher.

This excitement doesn't last too long, after hes introduced to others and settled in, theres new expectations on him, hes a Watcher now, not just a player, so things are gonna be harder to impress now. The Watchers have to shape him into a Watcher, so they don't let him sleep for a few days, to soften his attitude, they only stop this when he breaks down in exhaustion and tears, but his manners are better like they wanted.

Grian's not allowed to go out by himself, he can't leave the island even if he wanted to anyway, so most of his time is spent within the main few buildings, exploring the halls and library, its a good thing, bc they also make him study a lot, theres a lot to learn abt Watchers and their history, their magic, and their culture.

They don't give him glasses, instead teaching him enchantment magic to use instead, its good to always have Watcher magic flowing through your blood. His eyes are a constant soft purple.

Watchers, being angels, don't rly have to eat, so if Grian wants to eat, he has to ask a Watcher to summon food for him, the fruit tastes good, but anything cooked is always off or completely wrong. If he asks, they'll give him raw ingredients to cook by himself, with supervision of course. (not that he needs it, he is 25 years old and raised himself)

The one particular Watcher that has responsibility over him is named Aether, also known as Watcher Mum, shes the one that makes sure he has food, clothes, and is generally taken care of. She's a lot softer on him than expected, he's so cute ! and tiny ! She can't be strict on him ! She cuts his fruit into little shapes for him, even though he didn't rly ask.

The thing abt having Watcher magic flowing through his body near constantly, is that its slowly changing him. He grows wings, and it hurts so bad he thinks hes dying, they rip out of his skin after a few weeks, splattering blood across his room and bed. Aether cleans that and him up, tending to the wound. She doesn't have worry in her voice when she comments on how bright and pretty his wings are under all the blood. Its moments like this where Grian wonders how much of a mistake he's made, as he stares at the Watchers' extra eyes, and talon hands, he wonders when that'll happen to him, and how much it'll hurt, and how its his fault.

Ah, i'll stop here, its getting very long and I haven't even touched on his run away, or the Listeners, or what Watchers are, or the s6-s8 recovery and relapse arc, or the different timeline connections and his God self he accidentally created and doomed-- i ahve a lot stored in my head *explodes*

You were currently looking in the mirror at your outfit, hoping it looked good enough to impress bill, you had met one night at a party where his band mates and him were at and you eventually started talking all night long.

You both had alot in common and got along great, which was why he had asked you out on a date hoping to get to know you better, and you accepted.

You sighed thinking it was good enough as you looked at the time, “shit..” you said grabbing a long brown coat, putting it on and heading to the car your assistant set up for you.

It wasnt anything nice which was perfect, seeing as you didnt want paparazzi ruining your date.

You got in the backseat as the driver closed the door for you, saying thank you and quickly got in himself, driving away to the restaurant.

Once you arrived you thanked the driver and went in, looking around seeing if youd spot bill anywhere.

Once you scanned the room you spotted him and walked over with a smile on your face. “Hello there stranger.” You said jokingly.

“Hi! You made it finally, you look so gorgeous!” He said, standing up and giving you a quick hug. You chuckled and hugged him back with a slight blush on your face, sitting down.

He nodded as you two talked until you ordered your food and drinks, still continuing to talk even while you received your meals.

You chuckled, “thats sweet bill” You said as he nodded, laughing as well, “i was about 12 i just wanted to do something nice for my cousin, so you know i dressed as santa claus.” He said with a slight tint of pink on his cheeks.

You giggled, “its cute!” you said smiling. Once you finished eating, you had both went on and on talking about so many things, such as your career’s, how they both took off and most things alot of people didnt know. It was nice to talk to someone and you had already felt a connection with him.

You were a bit nervous as the thought of the paparazzi catching you guys together crossed your mind. Bill noticed this and placed his hand on yours, “hey dont worry, whatever happens happens, ya know it wont matter what anyone says. Its our business and no one elses.” He said with a reassuring smile.

You smiled back and thought how cute he sounded, “you’re right. Thanks bill that made me feel much better!” You said blushing a bit, no one that you have gone out with had said anything like that to you, they would usually just ignore you after and never talk to you again, some would brag and share things that werent true just for the fame.

“Wanna get out of here?” You said grinning, “i know a quiet place where the paparazzi or just anyone wouldnt be able to find us.”

He nodded, “sure, thatd be great!” You smiled and left a tip on the table as you both walked out of the restaurant, hand in hand.

You did look around a bit out of habit of not wanting to get caught, but you felt okay as you had just spent the most amazing evening with the most amazing boy you have ever met.

You both were okay that day, not getting caught thankfully but by your fourth date you had been caught, but you both were okay with it because you had hung out alot and became very close, eventually admitting eachothers feelings for the other.

Even if you had your worries, as did he you both made it work out and thats all that mattered.

I finished Demian and have so many thoughts abt this book especially the queer undertones, this is all my opinion and how i perceived the story, its ok if ppl dont agree ik theres many interpretations! This story portrayed gender and Sexuality in such a fluid way it was oddly refreshing? The male is female, they are both, they are none, they are the world, glory to Abraxas

The character that most stuck with me is Frau Eva, not because i found her that interesting, shes a hot wise tree milf, but what she could represent is fascinating. To me she was another layer of Sinclairs repressed sexuality, mainly his attraction to Demian, some people will defend with their lives Sinclair and Demian were just Best friends forever platonic male besties and while i respect that i find it rlly funny do you often dream abt ur bffs dominating u or kiss them on the lips? Regardless! Sinclair has an obvious attraction to Demian since childhood, his teenage years filled with longing for him, then comes Frau Eva, shes literally just female Demian, looks like him, talks like him, and Sinclair is hit with this bliss, out of this world, while you can take it at face value and go milf coochie made life worth living (respect that) it felt to me like a sort of release from years of repressed desire, Frau Eva is exactly like Demian but as a woman, the gender society deems correct for him to like, and in his monologues hes unashamed and more downbad than before. Queer readings of Demian shouldnt be surprising to anyone knowing how damn fruity Sinclair acts + the theme of the god Abraxas and accepting yourself and your desires honestly, theres a theme of self acceptance i think many queer people relate to! At the same time though one must recognize Sinclair does genuinely love Frau Eva! He is a milf lover, but his love for her is also heavily colored by his attraction to Demian, so to me its a mix of both? Thats how i perceived it at least! Anyway!!!!! Emil Sinclair Bisexual king yassss wants the milf AND her son 😭😭😭 he needs to be put down

What is pissing me off abt the epilogue is how horribly they treated both Izuku and Ochako and how it seems like literally every shitty and impossible thing had to be used just so they would TALK.

Society had to magically become peaceful and heroes are almost no longer needed, Ochako had to regress on her HS crush that she apparentely never thought about talking to in 8 years until he got a brand new armor suit to go back to being an active hero, and STILL hiding her feelings, the ghost of Toga and Shigaraki had to covinently be kicked back to life to forge a connection and to push them towards each other, Izuku had to become completely indifferent to his other friends and his passion to be a hero had to be dulled to the point he's only a weekend hero, and Kacchan and Todoroki had to become meta commentary mobs just so they could pretend she was the most special person in the room for him all along, so they could make HIM chase after her.

Like... Was there seriously no other way to make them canon???? Is that seriously the only way???? Bc if that's the case, i can only think this was done out of spite. You can see it in the art too, where the author just decided to draw female characters well but the rest just a sloppy, shoddy mess.

Its so ridiculous -this was such an easy ship to confirm in canon without spending much time in it. Just a little "oh, and we started dating bc we got closer after 1st year!", or agree to date in the future before the last battle, or confess something. But nah, we need to repeat 429 basically but make it "romantic", finish with a handshake Tetsu Tetsu and Kirishima do all the time, and end everything that made BNHA BNHA in the first place.

For a ship that has no conflict, no drama, no substance, no attachment, no depth, nothing, you have to destroy literally everything just to make them talk more and imply romance bc they are blushing and all of the sudden he loves her way more than anyone else -im sorry, if you love her so much why didnt you even think about talking to your high school best friend in 8/6 years??? This isnt yearning, you can yearn WHILE being with the person, and theres nothing making them stay away from each other besides their inability to try it -they became the same person, theres nothing to balance it, they even share some features (horikoshi said he draws similarly izuku, ochako and eri), which makes it way less interesting visually, so all they have going on is "being cute". But then, they just dont blush around each other anymore, and all of the sudden they dont even hang out in private???

Theres nothing in this story that makes us feel like they, genuinely, have to end with each other -the only reason many kept it in mind its bc of the demographic, and thats a huge red flag in terms of writing. You dont have to make them fight nor be in separated sides, but there has to be something going on in a story for us to care. In my perspective, there were two options:

1: Show us how actually special they are to each other in terms of romance instead of constantly make Ochako's character about it while Izuku gets nothing of that. Make it dramatic, make him fight because he needs her to be okay, make her be part of the actual main fight, make the villains work with this information instead of making Katsuki the protagonist of these moments. Make it a romance-action shonen, spending more time with these topics actively involving the male main character instead of just giving it all to Ochako, and spending more time with her and her journey outside of just him.

2: Make it really small and simple -if we arent supposed to focus on romance, canonizing them just by literally mentioning it would fit much better. Plain and simple, they are friends, friends can like each other and date, thats cute and harmless, and doesnt take anything from the story.

Instead, we got some romantic shoujo level drama going on for two characters that never got that level of intensity for each other in the whole story -and on top of that, the "confession" is about talking to each other more and a bro hold, it doesnt even try to actually commit to it. C'mon, all "romantic" moments coming from Izuku are so surface level and easily deniable -at first, him reacting to his first friend being a cute girl, and the rest is him being friendly with her and having a similar ideology separated.

Nothing makes them actually come together in this story even if they are basically the same -thats so... impressive, honestly. How many things have to change in one chapter in order to semi confirm a hetero ship could happen?

Homestly, not really. I wrote 505, IM GOING BACK TO 505, sorry, words on my main story… BUTTT i wrote a bunch of notes and stuff that has to equate to like 700 words??? But thats for my main story, I finished one of the CW!!!

That’ll be out to you guys tomorrow. Im pretty pround of it! Especially for 1.5k! But… I feel like its a bit rushed, and in some places it feels a bit exposition heavy? But i do like the emotion and symbolism in the story. It turnes out pretty good I think! I cant wait for you guys to see this because then you guys can actually get a grip for how I write and stuff, and not judge my writing off these stupid blurbs and stuff! Yk, if you guys like the one tomorrow, I’ll give yall a Thousand Fireflies to eat up too! Just- dont copy it alright? Its not free-use work!!! In fact- i should probably put that in my bio and stuff. idek what i could talk abt bc at the same times theres a LOT but also, despite me being mostly caught up game lore wise, i still dont feel like i have a good enough understanding of the characters, i'll probably only feel that when im caught up w the comics. which,,, will take me a good while to get through (just the archie comics are like over 500 issues long lol)

BUT. hmm what could i say that doesnt really require much prior knowledge...

ig, as every ship i ever ship, i see them more as queer platonic, sonic gives me the strongest aroace vibes, so i feel like his love for shadow wouldnt take a much different shape than his love for his other friends. but their connection goes a lil further to me, bc, when it comes to certain stuff, i feel like they're the only ones who can understand each other. and shadow... my dearest little guy... he represses a lot. his life experience wasnt. the best. i dont think he got that many opportunities to explore his own emotions, he probably cant even name a bunch of his emotions, its just easier to lash out, thats smth he's used to. he knows violence, it feels safer, he knows that dance.

and its because sonic has his fair share of violent background (aka, took up the role of a hero since he was way too young) that i feel like he is one of the few who can read shadow much easier than anyone else. hell, sonic himself is kinda knee deep in some repression (in my own understanding of his character). obvs most of this is bc its a franchise that targets kids, they wont get wild w the angst, but my boy sonic be out there fighting all the time and takes on a responsibility that shouldnt be his, the consequences of his actions can be catastrophic sometimes (once again asking everyone to watch sonic prime <3333 so much angst potential, im not normal abt it), and even when things go wrong, he jut smiles and powers through it. just think this for a second. god. imagine the amount of times he pushed himself beyond his limitations for the sake of others, how many times he pretended to be fine....

and yet. despite all that, they are terrible with communicating to each other, so things get physical often (as in fighting, not sexual, which makes it even gayer to me <3), and sigh. not surprising. put two stupid traumatised hogs in the same room and they'll either zoom around trying to race each other or they'll try to tear each others throat bc they just cant be normal together. ig thats how they communicate, go figures lol

my thoughts are all over the place atm so its hard to make this coherent <- my thoughts abt them are usually just violently screaming and sobbing. im sooo normal abt them. cant get much deeper than this without getting into the Lore, but yeah, ig this is smth

and oh, abt fanfics, hmmm i dont have that many that you could read without any background, but i did just finish this one shots collection thats very sweet and pretty chill to read without much prior knowledge, its mostly just a bunch of fluffy sick fics and them exploring their own feelings.

Jameson Hawthorne POV in The Brothers Hawthorne, why so different?

Lately I’ve been seeing a lot of ppl who dint liked or enjoyed jamesons pov in the new book, the brothers hawthorne, as it felt “rushed” or “flat” to some ppl, and im not here to try to change or fight w you, only to explain why it felt like this.

If you just want the reason, its bc the emotional side of Jameson wasnt worked with bc it wasnt necessary to the purpose of the book and the new triology, but there is an explanation for this.

First of all, Jamesons character already went thought his character arc in the main triology, so when JLB was writing his pov, she dint “care” at all for his emotions, only on the characters on his plot line. Its hard to say now as the new triology (the grandest game) isnt out yet but you cannot say that the characters on jamesons game (the adult ones) wont appear again, JLB let too many open windows to not.

We also have to understand that TBH wasnt necessarily a book on its own in question of character and plot ( i swear to god the day i find the mtf that said it was ok to sell TBH as a standalone) but a rl long prologue to the new saga, so my theory is that when TGG come out, jameson plot line will make much more sense as it will actually have some use.

In my opinion, this is what JBL needed to do, and was thinking, when she wrote the book:

- need to finish grayson character arc as it will be essential to the next saga (he’ll be one of the mc there)

- need to introduce the characters from the Devils Mercy and their secrets as we’ll need to already know they exist for The Grandest Game

In conclusion, Jamesons pov dint rl need its emotional part bc, theoretically, that part was already finished in the main saga. Was it rl finished? For the purpose of what we were presented in tig (the trauma of his relasionship w emily) yes. (but it was rl funny how she wrote 3 book abt jameson and grayson trauma w emily only to mention it twice in flashbacks on their books)

But for the purpose of his family trauma? his so called granddaddy issues? no. So JBL needed to fix that, but i think its clear that she prioritized the plot over his family (mother and fathers side) problems, but that can also be explained.

JBL needed to write two very different plot lines with as little pages as she could, bc lets be honest, no ones wants to read +500 pages books, specially coming from the TIG universe, that is sold as a fast read bc of its short chapters. That means she needed to present all of the things that will be important to the next book AND she needed to finish Grayson character arc as 1- itll be important to the next book 2- there as a popular request to it since THL, and it grew so much after TFG, she just needed to work a LOT w him and w that, jameson got put aside and his pov often felt more of an observer than a character.

honestly? i dont think its that bad as ppl are talking, i see and understand the reasons that ppl dint liked it but i spend to much time overanalyzing it to not like it.

not relevant to this post but if you read until here just be aware that the understanding i have for jameson “hate” in TBH, i dont have for whoever is talking abt my n1 girl Avery Grambs. Im sorry if you thought she was “boring” in this book, again this is your opinion and blablabla and genuine not trying to offend you, but she wasnt. im sorry, she just wasnt, it was simply not her book.

no one is going to know what i'm talking about but FUCK IT, this is my house and i do what i want. so here's a short-ish breakdown of me and hugo— my concept art boyfriend that i've been unable to stop thinking about. maybe i'll share general hugo headcannons (hugocannons, if u will) later on my main blog. but anyways! more under the cut if ur interested!!

we did NOT get along at first, just like i did not like him at all in real life for a while. i thought he was dweeb ass nerd with a stupid haircut, and he thought i was a stubborn and passive-aggressive little runt (neither of us were wrong JSDKHFKJ).

we'd complain about each other to literally anyone who would listen. nuru and varian got so sick of our shit. we got used to each other after a few weeks and started to just hate in silence, but that adjustment period was ROUGH.

this animosity continued for a quite a while, but at some point hugo gets severely injured and i have to nurse him back to health (bc my s/i is an apothecary, yay :3). i'm by his side basically 24/7, since without me he'd do something stupid and get himself even more hurt. we bicker early on, but eventually things begin to mellow out. like— we have actual, normal conversations and even open up to each other about our pasts to an extent.

even after that whole ordeal is finished and hugo's healed, we still remain civil. almost like we're becoming FRIENDS or something.
