We’ve always felt bad for being gay mostly because we had old friends who’d shame us for it, but in this weird sort of online kind of way? Saying things like, if you’re gay then you won’t date women so you’re misogynistic. At the time a big talking point among our group was how often gay creators would leave out or even mock female characters in media to push their gay ship. We agreed this was stupid and dumb behavior. Yet, because we were gay friends would jokingly lump us in with these folks. It slowly stopped feeling like they were sticking up for female characters and instead using this as a way to hate gay people online. We found this frustrating because in the end nobody was actually talking about girls, they were insulting each other. We identified as bi for awhile and everyone became significantly kinder to us. We didn’t really feel attached to the label but we felt too bad being gay, like being gay made us like “those annoying people online”. This entire treatment was just completely weird. We don’t exactly know how to describe it? Other than terminally online I guess. This sort of intense fixation on internet morality which just switched back into bigotry with a tint of righteousness. Friends would go on to say some incredibly hateful things to us, disguising them as good. We had folks hcing characters as ace primarily to avoid gay headcanons (especially weird given we are ace and gay) and once a friend even told us a character they were annoyed at being hced as gay shouldn’t be because they were disabled. (Funny enough we are also disabled and gay!) we didn’t understand this mentality. There was no love given to the actual sides they were allegedly fighting for. Only hate. We’d be told they hated transmasc art for this exact same reason, the art in question always seemed to depict fat trans men or trans men which weren’t “conventionally attractive”. Men with boobs and whatnot. We started to wonder if the hatred was because of genuine criticism or because of more malicious reasoning. Does anybody else see this weird backwards online reinvention of hate? We feel kind of crazy. Or perhaps we’re the weird one.

Surprise! I have a couple Bug Fables comics, too.
This one was just a nice, little test for doing backgrounds. Hence why I just had Vi trying to cure her hiccups.

I think color hates being and feeling lied to. in the past I do think he’d have a tendency towards boundary pushing and fishing for information whenever he feels like he’s being lied to.
sometimes he was actually being lied to, sometimes he was being paranoid in response to his sensitivity towards signs of dishonesty and rejection or abandonment, but sometimes he was never being lied to—it was just something he didn’t and never needed to know because it never had anything to do with him.

Kinda waiting for YRH-nim to drop it on us on a random Tuesday, like she did with the 'KRS could actually cook' fact, that KRS was in fact not a virgin.

more Artemis Fowl Magical Boy content
I imagine the 'monsters' manifesting differently according to whom they're fighting. In Artemis' case, they appear as magical creatures with an unnatural oil-slick-like, polluted appearance.
Also the image I used as a reference under the cut (it's extremely good)

Trevor possessively stalking Michael...
He keeps an eye on “his Mikey”, is ‘conveniently’ around whenever smby is too friendly w him, has his schedule and habits so naturally tied down into his brain that he can predict what he'll do / where he'll go.

It’s uh… just an au for the whole entire transformer franchise.
Each different franchise has the same au, which probably needs a lot of work with naming cause… it’s gonna be hella confusing if I have the exact same au but for a different franchise… or maybe that’s what people want? I dunno..
The au is as such.
Megatron being bumblebee’s dad (or mom, whatever floats your boat, I know both floats mine)
Why? Because there isn’t enough fanfiction/art to satisfy my serotonin and I like the idea of megatron being a great parent who also takes his role as a leader seriously, but… people have different opinions and I respect it… but I was getting hungry..
Plus I’m a bit obsessed with the idea of megatron being a parent who’d probably bend the universe just to see his kids happy…
So I said ‘fuck it, I’ll do it myself.’ … sooo I’m making megatron a parent in all variations of transformers so you’re probably gonna see a lot of ‘megatron as bumblebee’s parent’ on this blog as a hyperfixtate thing…
I’d like apologise in advance before going overboard-. But yes. I’m still making megatron a parent in all variations of transformers… cause I do what I want.

I've been doing lots of random other stuff besides playing TS2 lately, and last night since I didn't feel like doing the random other stuff either I pirated Inzoi - mainly expecting to only be interested in the character creator
and wouldn't you believe it, I quit playing immediately after I finished character creation lol
it was reminding me of the first time I played The Sims 4 in 2014 (after I paid $40 for it a day after release because I was too impatient to wait it out), because I also did the exact same thing with TS4 :P
there's just too many things on the screen from the UI/menus, and the information the UI/menus is trying to convey is not intuitive.
the tutorial cat or whatever kept popping up promising me paragraph after paragraph of exposition & mechanic explanations, but I want to learn how to play the game by playing the fucking game lol
if the game is so obtuse about how to get from point A to point B that it's not possible to figure it out without reading a Wiki, then I'm not going to play it for very long (or at all)
idk like although life simulators can be complex in that they're simulating all facets of human life & socialization, that doesn't mean the ways you engage with those facets has to be complex.
take TS2 for example! lol
(also I don't mean complex as in hard or simple as in easy, I mean the role that game design itself plays in conveying information can make the experience of understanding how to play the game more intuitive or less intuitive)

Okay but genuinely getting really confused what counts as anti and what counts as pro-ship these days cus it’s certainly not the same as it was 10 years ago and I’m getting increasingly distressed how vague the meanings seem to be getting and how it’s morphing the whole thing into leaving no safe space for anybody to express and handle ANY kind of situation that doesn’t fit puritan standards??
Like, from what I can tell, two consenting characters, way over adult age, who are more than 5 years apart, could be considered outside of anti standards at this point??? Because of age gap?????
This is terrifying?????

I have Beatles fans show up on my dash a lot (thanks to having a Beatles fan mutual. If you're reading this, hi) and as a huge animatronics fan I regularly think "I wonder if they know about the Beagles". So I thought I'd do my part and share my fan love with fans of a different thing entirely. If you're a Beatles fan and you're seeing this you now know about the Beagles. Also if you're not a Beatles fan and you're seeing this.

Rewatching season 1 after finishing season 2 is a trip, because the contrast between start-of-s1 Fan Xian and end-of-s2 Fan Xian is wild.
At the start of season one, he’s so fresh-faced! So cute! He doesn’t yet want to murder anybody! He’s got no deep-seated rage! No real drive! No ruthless glint in his eye! He doesn’t yet have his own army of minions that he can sic on people!
And he carries himself simply. It’s not just the unsophisticated clothes, but his whole bearing. He’s a boy here—a talented, intelligent, self-confident young man. He’s curious. He’s open. He does not walk into a room expecting to command it, or to fight for his life in it with the people he hates. (He doesn’t yet hate anybody.) He doesn’t wear power like a mantle, deliberately flaunting it where he deems it necessary. (He doesn’t yet want anybody to fear him.) He doesn’t expect his words to matter to a great number of people just because he’s the one who said them. (He’s not yet used to being important.) In short, he doesn’t carry himself like a prince—yet. That’ll change in season 2.
(Fan Xian says, very sincerely, that he doesn’t want to belong to the royal family. I believe him! But I don’t think he’s noticed to what degree he carries with him now the easy assumption of power that characterises the royals.)

I just had a diabolical thought about Bloom. What if she is a changeling? But not an actual mythological changeling.
What if instead of Daphne just dropping Bloom somewhere (inside a burning building) she swapped Bloom with the ACTUAL Bloom Peters? Daphne knew the ancestral witches would be looking for a baby, and she couldn’t have been sure those three (well two) would be defeated. So, she made a tough decision. She took Mike and Vanessa’s actual daughter and put the Princess of Domino in her place. So Daphne tried running with that baby for as long as she could, but eventually she was caught and killed. The witches tried to take the dragon flame from Bloom Peters but it didn’t work. She wasn’t Domino’s Princess. So they disposed of her. After the defeat of the Ancestral Witches the royal family of Domino was declared dead.
And Mike and Vanessa were unknowingly raising somebody else. She was called Bloom Peters sure, but she was still The Princess of Domino and Guardian of the Dragon Flame.
And imagine Bloom finding this out. That she isn’t Bloom, that she took the place of an innocent kid and has been living as her. Maybe that's what she finds out in Cloud Tower. Not that she’s a weapon created by the ancestral witches, but a fake. She isn’t Bloom Peters, she is The ‘dead’ Princess of Domino.
Imagine her trying to tell this to her ‘parents’ that she isn’t their daughter, that their actual child was buried in the tomb meant for her.

It's just... odd to me, I suppose, going from "what is in my pants is completely irrelevant to most anybody else's life" to the expectation that you must be completely open, essentially, about what is in your pants.
I think a lot of people understand the general idea of why it's bad decorum to demand people offer explanations for private information like this, but they don't analyze exactly why it's bad besides, "asking directly is just rude" and not "asking in any way still enforces the often violent nature of gender and sex, and putting people in the 'right box' is a part of that violence."
It's especially odd when seeing other trans people enforcing the idea that "what's in your pants?" is a genuine, good-faith basis for interacting with others.
