okay but i need ALL of the fics that take place during crozier getting sober. like i feel like there is SO much potential here bc it is THEE biggest turning point for him! esp with regards to fitzjames and their relationship. like fitzjames seeing crozier's choice to sober up as this huge defining moment, one that ultimately and unequivocally earns his respect (back, really, because he DID have respect for crozier at first, before he met him. and now he sees that that respect wasnt misgiven, not really). and like the way this choice is what causes the first crack in james' mask around crozier! ugh it's just DELICIOUS.

update: the entire outside part of the AC unit definitely needs to be replaced and the entire inside part might need to be replaced too (that would be $5k total. sometimes renting pays off bc im not responsible for any of this). finally met my landlord in person, who is so flabbergasted that the unit chose right now to break. upon further prying, the AC unit came with the apartment when he bought it in 2009. so it’s quite frankly a miracle it lasted this long???

soap and ghost napping on ghost together …

does it start accidentally ? for sure! we’ve got a mission finished, job well done, helicopter is packed, and soap is snoozing away on ghost’s shoulder to everybody’s varying degrees of shock and confusion (and price who’s being cryptic again)

ghost won’t sleep because he doesn’t sleep just like that, so he gets to sit stock still and glare for two hours but it’s fine really, soap doesn’t snore and he drools just a bit !

even as soap gets snugglier and ghost gets softer, as their relationship with each other progresses, it never happens the other way around. ghost never falls asleep with soap anywhere but in his own room, and even then soap never sees him asleep, not even once. it feels a little silly at first to worry about, but as time goes on and soap Still hasn’t seen ghost asleep, he starts to ask himself if ghost really trusts him

is he stupid to give ghost his heart to keep when it seems like it’s a one-way trust? has there really been any progress made when ghost doesn’t even trust him? for soap, sleeping with his back to somebody is about trust, and ghost won’t return that trust?

it’s not that ghost Won’t return the trust, it’s that he Can’t.. he Cannot get his hindbrain to stop churning paranoia into butter, he can barely sleep alone with price and he tells soap so, tells him that he might never be able to do that

anyways when it finally does happen soap wants to cry and also the floodgates open bc after the one exfil gjost sleeping on/octopused to/close to soap becomes a regular occurrence when on missions (and on base but that’s nobody’s business)

chrysijacks dreamology au where they were jst two little kids that had a fucked up sleep study / experiment done on them that gave them linked dreams for the rest of their lives, then chrysi moved away and they both forgot abt it. jacks truly thought chrysi was, like, jst his dream girl or whatever, until she moved back and now she’s in his high school class. who was going to tell him his dream girlfriend is an actual person ?!!!!!!!))) also why doesn’t she recognize him from their dreams :( they went to a magic aquarium and kissed w tongue in front of the jellyfish exhibit, and yet she acts like she’s never met him before :(((
