Rewatching the Grave Danger Job and crying and like. even when Hardison gets out of the casket, he hugs everyone but Parker. (But especially that first with Eliot? Hardison is probably the most normal on the team when it comes to physical affection, while Eliot probably has the most violent history with it and yet, Eliot using that strength and intensity to embrace Hardison instead? And the way that Hardison has a death grip on Eliot, someone who has sworn his life to making sure that they're all safe, after going through the most harrowing experience in his life?) But my initial point, bc Parker still isn't ready for that. She's still learning how to let people in and let them see her and her care, and she already bared her heart earlier telling Hardison that she needed him. And how Hardison doesn't need the same hug from her like he does everyone else, but just her comfort however she can offer ("I need you, Alec," and the most desperate look in her eyes as she sees him, even though she takes a step back bc she still can't do it) and he respects it in even the most situations. okay i was gonna end the post there but i scrolled back up to review and realized i forgot to actually explain why i am excited for more alicia lloyd scenes so that's gonna go here now i guess LMFAOO

i really really hope that alicia and lloyd have a closer, more quiet moment to talk about their respective lives and history with losing loved ones and feeling isolated as a result. i WAS gonna talk abt that in a dedicated alicia post but i guess itll make a cameo here too lol

bc if u think abt it, suho and alicia both went through very very devastating losses. they both lost the lives of the people who cared for them most, and in very very tragic ways (suho's parents committed, and alicia's parents were slaughtered / alicia's brothers put her in a 'kill or be killed' situation). it's really unfortunate, it's life-altering, and it follows you,,, and then the isolation that comes after that makes it all even worse.

of course, we see suho very explicitly going through throes of isolation through endless work, endless school, and the sheer struggle to just survive to the next day by himself, with no family to support him. obviously, we don't see alicia explicitly having this experience, but i think it'd be reasonable to believe that after the death of her family,,, it was just her. she lost her parents and her brothers, and now she's the only one with the magentano name, and you can't exactly have an empty mantle now can you?

she probably didn't really have anyone to talk to about this. probably just a bunch of old coots on that board of nobles, who have to help her with this "being queen" thing, u cant exactly talk abt ur trauma to people who are technically working for u, who care more abt their status in the kingdom than anything else. and at such a young age, too... like yeah she's surrounded by people technically, but how many people around her actually care for HER, and not for her new status as crown princess? and then as queen? like no wonder tyrant alicia comes to be because of a betrayal from kyle, no wonder she's worried abt letting lloyd into her heart. she's probably been worried about betrayal from a loved one all her life bc of what her brothers did,,, that must be so isolating, and lonely.

so yes, i think alicia probably went through a long bout of isolation, too. and i think alicia and lloyd should Talk about it and have a heart to heart and go "jesus fuck we went through it,,, but we have found people we can rely on. and isn't that wonderful,,," and then alilloyd will have a wonderful leg to stand on yay

This week we're taking a slight detour from the main chapters of PKNA to read the very first PKNA Special Issue: Missing! (Which came out in 1997 alongside the release of Silicon). This chapter is basically the equivalent of an anime OVA where we get to see the various characters just kinda hangin out and doin stuff outside the main plot, which I think is fun!!

but let's backtrack a bit, junior could've been wrong. i don't know how many letters were in that case, i don't know how many babies were on the floor, i don't know how many postcards were on the bulletin board. let's just assume that he was right, for the sake of everything.

on a lighter note, i do love how diamond destiny was handled. she's proof that the babies are created with the traits that are best for their family, even if it's not exactly what they thought they wanted. she doesn't get any special treatment for being a girl. she's not any more pure or innocent than any other baby, her ninja skills aren't a #baby girlboss moment, and the only physical characteristic symbolizing her gender is her pink hair. she only wears a diaper for the entire movie (except the future-vision), because girl babies dont need any more clothes than boy babies. not even a frilly dress or a cute hairclip.

Like 7!Tommy is scared of him and 7!dream bullies him until he's even more scared or there's more complicate feelings bewteen these two. its interesting thinking about them in this context knowing that in the canon end they put they differences aside for a little time but they did it.

but. yeah. they're important. they're very, very important. and the feelings are a lot more complicated because...well, they grew up together, innit. you have to remember that in terms of even canon c!discduo, before it was really really bad...it was good? like, they both point to periods of time that they spent together as being Not That Bad! c!tommy explicitly reminisces about the disc war both before and after exile! and as the finale establishes, they have a lot of similar desires and a lot of similar viewpoints and despite the natural conflicts that their personalities create, they are able to come to an understanding.

in 7y, they grow up together. they spend a lot of time with each other. tommy is wilbur's kid, through and through, and they have stupid spats over items and they get in dumb arguments and dream laughs at tommy when he gets himself into trouble and then helps him out of it, the works. he goes to visit lmanburg for meetings at night and gets woken up to tommy screaming at him outside his door. they grow.

then pogtopia happens, and schlatt wants tommy and wilbur dead, and dream is a soldier and had been one long before he'd been tommy's friend and he has more important things to do than soothing the feelings of a scared 13 year old that he won't see as a kid because being just a kid in war really just means being another dead goddamn body. of course, when tommy gets himself in trouble, he's still there. that's his job, after all. he's always looked after his allies, his squad.

vassal is a wedge that only drives the rift wider. dream loves wilbur; wilbur loves him, and he also loves the fact that he won't leave. the story went that there's a boy that's brave enough to slay the dragon and maybe he didn't realize, back then, how easily kids buy anything you tell them, especially about heroes. dream steps in the way of tommy's arrow. dream obeys his commander. he brings little packets of candy, sometimes, the kinds that tommy loves. the days grow colder and TNT piles higher and wilbur is terrified, even as pogtopia's ranks swell. dream and tommy are too.

and then wilbur dies.

they both blame each other for his death; they're both grieving; they're both an echo of the man that raised them, loved them, as they spit fire and try to bite each other's throats. exile is similar in length and execution, but crueler, with the years of history hanging over both of their heads. the same grief pulling them under. pogtopia, wilbur's death, had left tommy haunted with ghosts both literal and not--exile has him cowering from shadows, jumping at every sound. dream clutches a book that promises to bring wilbur back like a lifeline, like a noose. he tells tommy that he'll have to keep him alive, if he ever wants to see wilbur again.

they're brothers; they're two sides of the same story written by the man that raised them, that they both love more, perhaps, than they ever should've. when they met, they were just children, and maybe it's not fair, the way that the world asked them to grow up so soon, but eventually we all have to move on, dammit. they're brothers, because tommy, nine years old, had decided quite imperiously that this was how the world works and like his father, had never exactly been good at simply taking no for an answer; they're brothers, because tommy--more than double that, now--had looked down at the cards he'd been dealt and went fuck this, just because we've been playing a rigged game since the beginning doesn't mean that we should keep just going on reshuffling the same bad deck. tommy will never stop being scared, but so will dream, so will everyone, and maybe the goal never should've been to shoot their fears in the head with enough lead to put them down, especially not when their ghosts just stick around anyway. people try to dissuade him, tell him that this isn't his job, that he doesn't have to do it, that he can just leave--but as it works out, for all of the efforts of everyone that he's met, it's never exactly been easy to make tommy-fucking-innit do what you tell him to.

they get better. not perfect, but perfect is impossible in a situation like theirs--so they'll settle for drinking shitty gas station slushies on the curb outside las nevadas. they made it, in the end.

Okay, so I love Shadowheart so freaking much!!! She was the first companion I romanced in BG3 and has claimed a special place in my heart. (thank you to my bestie who convinced me to choose her instead of Astarion for my first playthrough. Changed my life)

She's like one of the very few women I'm genuinely attracted to and she makes me question my sexuality a little lmao.

Once you get her to trust you she stops being cold for the most part and starts being sweet and a little dorky and OUGH I just love her.

Like I like her character arc of learning to trust you and opening up slowly. I know some people thought she was bitchy in the beginning but in her defence, she was literally brainwashed by a cult not to trust people, it's kind of understandable she'd be cold and distant.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

More romance options in Act 2.

I know she was occupied with all of the Shar stuff happening but both Astarion AND Gale (and probably others but I only really know these 2) have a second romance scene in Act 2. I genuinely thought I fucked her and Kairius' relationship up when I didn't get anything until LITERALLY the end of it (right before the boss).

IIRC all you get from her is a brief 'Hey we had somethin' going, didn't we? Sorry, I was too busy!' moment. Like Gale gets a whole scene under the stars, Astarion gets an entire moment where you can hug him and tell him you care for him.

Where's Shadowheart's version!? Let me tell her how I care for her and that I'm glad she's okay after everything that happened in the gauntlet! Let me give her a night orchid and hold her hand under the stars! Let me heal her sliced palm from the blood sacrifices and tell her how strong she is for betraying Shar!

Yes, I know they're technically story beats and not EXPLICITLY romance scenes but cmon man.

Because, dammit, someone needs to make a post about David and Michael being great actors that I trust completely to properly portray ancient queer repressed love. In part because of their filmographies and in part because of what they've already done in Good Omens.

I mean, take one look at Crowley's pathetic attempts at sitting on furniture or the swing of his hips and tell me he's not the epitome of a snakey bicon. Plus, I've SEEN David Tennant kiss guys in all sorts of contexts, and he's done great! (fuck, I still feel like a creep right now. But someone has to say it. I did not explicitly seek for "David tenant kissing guys" btw... there are gif sets. They're educational.)

And while all I have seen Michael do in the lines of kissing guys was a quick peck (and a weird amount of sex scenes), the man has a frankly staggering range of gay characters, and after having seen those, and watching the man reenact that scene from the graduate where Mrs. Robinson seduces Benjamin ( which, btw., has been a truly transcendental experience) I will never doubt Michael Sheen's ability to do anything at all. And as a side note, just look at his eyes and tell me he's not VERY capable of portraying queer attraction. Plus the ox ribs... never forget the ox ribs.

So when it comes to the kissing thing, we're going to be fine. If they want to give us a transcendentally romantic kiss, they are going to. There will be no "kissing like straight guys" in the Sheen-Tennant household any time soon, trust you me.

But also... "yet another"!? Technically, where I'm from, "Pride Month" as a concept basically exists more between the second half of June and the first half of July (SO I'M NOT LATE THIS TIME, MMMKAY?). Our city's parade happens halfway through July every year, so I guess my definition of Pride Month is a little skewed.

Actually, we didn't get a parade last year. As is the case with a lot of other smaller cities, we're big enough to have an out and open, vibrant queer community, but small enough that seemingly everyone in it happens to have petty drama with each other. Hence, our local pride organization's executive board basically self-destructed and went kaput last year because of infighting.

But from the ashes of its implosion, a newer, hopefully better, and brilliantly flaming phoenix emerges and baby I am SO READY!!!! We also just got a new gay bar after basically having none in the city ever since 2020 *cough* happened.

But if I'm being honest, I feel like there's a lot of stress at this time of the year for a lot of gay/trans/bi/nb folks. Folks in the closet feel a greater pressure to come out. Rightwing nutjobs double down on their anti-Budlight campaigns or whatever the fuck they're on about this time around. Lonely gays gotta deal with watching all the happy gay couples being out and proud everywhere.

And of course, there's the """""discourse""""" every year, surrounding everything with the the same arguments over "kink at pride" to "straights frequenting gay bars" and basically every other beating-a-dead-horse topic that the social media algorithms push like crack to feed our brains' collective addictions to ragebait. Sometimes it can be as much of a headache as it is a good time for any of us, and the increasing corporatization and commodification of what was originally a very radical tradition in our community can be disheartening. It seems that we have been undergoing a reckoning with a fundamental shift in this community over the last decade, as our proximity to comfort through class, race, and perceived "queerness" has created two very different kinds of "pride".

But idk, this year I really wanna just focus on feeling those good pride vibes extra hard, and not worrying about all the drama for once (Don't get me wrong though - no cops at pride, just Florence and her sword). Things have been looking pretty up for me ever since I've fallen in love with the most wonderful boy in the world, and I want this year to be a gay ass celebration, dammit!!

And so, I've decided to focus on something that we can all agree on - the fact that gay pride anthems fucking slap!!! Every year, one of the main things I look forward to is going to venues that'll actually have a chance of playing some good fucking music!

So I thought, why the hell not? I've got a music blog I barely touch outside of the year-end list season. Let's do some funky little reviews about ✨ gay pride anthems ✨

Now, what you and I consider to be a ✨ gay pride anthem ✨ may be very different. In this informal and unranked list, I will obviously be including songs with explicitly LGBTQ+ themes and by LGBTQ+ artists, but I am also taking the liberty of covering songs that are either culturally or historically significant to the broader queer community, or personally significant to my own self-discovery journey as a gay man.

I'm also going to throw in a couple of songs that just kinda exude gayness, queerness, and transness as per my own "gay ass music" barometer. You are free to disagree with my selections on any of these reviews, but I should let you know in advance that if you do disagree then you are simply WRONG.

Okay, with that outta the way:

THE ARTIST

Kylie Minogue really needs no introduction. If you're gay, live in an English speaking country, and are older than like, 22(?) then it should go without saying that Kylie Minogue is one of the most beloved and celebrated of the many, many queer-ally pop divas of the last five or six decades.

Ms. Minogue really kind of is the platonic ideal of her archetype. Her music is bouncy, playful, sleek, passionate, and unafraid to go camp. The Australian queen of pop just seems to get us, in a way that never feels pandering or cynical.

Perhaps what is so particularly affective about her appeal is her ability to adapt and change her sound without ever really appearing as if she's trend-hopping. Every change in her career (at least, post-self-titled) feels organic, and she always seems to enjoy whatever it is that she's doing.

Compared and contrasted (and I apologize for doing this in advance) with the career arc of her most obvious (and much more famous) counterpart Madonna, I've never once gotten the feeling that Kylie phoned it in, or just did a new sound because other popstars were doing it.

She's managed to stay relatively down to earth and focused on making fun and memorable pop music, while Madonna frankly continues to dilute her artistry with weird takes, cynical career moves, and whatever this is.

I'll admit that, while I'm familiar with many of her singles, I've really only listened to Impossible Princess, Light Years, Fever, and DISCO as far as her LPs go. But what I have heard in full, I've always enjoyed, especially her punchy yet highly introspective Impossible Princess, which is one of the most underrated and totally left-field records to have ever dropped from an established name in the pop mainstream.

Today's cut is a more well-known remix of a song off of her 2000 LP Light Years, perhaps her funnest record, which I just listened to in full last week in preparation for writing this review. And by the way, I'm covering the remix because it's bigger, better, and gayer, so don't @ me if you prefer the album version mmmkay?

THE SONG AND WHY IT SLAPS

"Your Disco Needs You" is an unabashed, unashamed celebration of all things glorious and free. And no, I don't mean whatever crappy country you live in, F patriotism - I'm talking about the dancefloor at your local gay bar.

"Camp" is an understatement, and probably too obvious to describe it. No, this song is BRAZEN and FLAMING. It has no interest in being subtle; it is a fervent call-to-action. Your goddamn motherfucking disco needs you dammit! You have been officially conscripted to get off your ass and serve your dancefloor. Make haste, you gays!

Flashy euro-disco with triumphant marching band trumpets, horny big man military chants, gratuitously french-spoken bridges, and insanely well-executed key changes are always gonna get my stamp of approval.

But it is perhaps the nasally way she sings "YOUR DIS-KOH" as she chants along during the chorus that really just seals the deal. Forgive me, but she sounds so vaguely somewhere from mainland Europe - It immediately makes me think of one of the crossover successes during the golden age of disco, like "Yes Sir I Can Boogie" by Baccara or "Dancing Queen" by ABBA which is a gay disco BEHEMOTH in its own right.

Everything about this song is everything it needed to be, and it all comes together exactly the way it should. Credit goes to Kylie's larger than life presence, as well as kudos to the backing vocalist for their thundering command, and huge HUGE kudos to the producers for getting it to sound exactly like an updated version of what it pays homage to, down to the last beat.

And have you seen the music video?!? An army of Kylie Minogue clones marching in tights towards disco glory is the only military campaign I will ever gladly endorse.

According to Kylie herself, the song was apparently "too gay" and "too camp" for the label to release it as a single in the United Kingdom. I mean, come on, how fucking punk rock is that? "TOO GAY FOR ENGLAND" is a badge of honour that I'd readily have permanently tattooed on my forehead if I were ever the recipient of such a prestigious title.

Oh, and anyone who thinks this is wholly ironic needs to GTFO now. We are now several light years ahead of when broader Straight™ society suddenly and viciously turned on the great big, glossy old-school disco in the early 80s. We should all be able to understand by now that this is a love letter to everything that was dramatic and overly-extravagant about that era. And it's all the better for it.

WHY IT'S GAY

This is the first on the list, but definitely will not be the last, of a set of songs that are really just blunt and in-your-face with its production and manner of delivery. There is something among LGBTQ+ folks, particularly among drag queens, femme gay men, and men-attracted transfemmes, where being unapologetically bold with your personality and image is widely common and celebrated.

And it makes sense; spending so many years hiding who you are because of society's prejudice means that there is a whole stock-pile of self-expression that hasn't been given its proper outlet until one's coming out eventually happens. There's also the exhilarating thrill of recent liberation that makes you just want to flaunt your colours everywhere.

There is an especially potent emphasis in most cultures on performing masculinity "the correct way" and a strong disdain for those perceived to be "sissies". To be an out and proud feminine man or woman with XY chromosomes, one must be very bold. Or as black and queer NYC ballroom pioneer Junior Labeija once put it "it do take nerve" to be who you are when you are gay/bi/trans/etc.

That amount of nerve is often doubled when faced with the extra added challenges of being poor or belonging to a racial minority, which is why a lot of the boldest and most ground-breaking underground dance music (such as the origins of House music, or the aforementioned NYC ballroom scene) originates from predominately black and brown, lower-class queer communities.

Likewise, music that feels gay is not just dance music, but dance music that often feels bold and fearless. We celebrate and laugh in the face of prejudice and adversity. Dance music that plays to this striking, defiant confidence immediately sets off our "gay barometers" because it reflects how many of us feel inside when we are partying amongst ourselves.

Kylie just gets it. She may not be one of us per se, but she understands that radical, defiant confidence and boldness that is what really makes a legendary dancefloor banger for gay bars everywhere. And okay, something also has to be said for the chants. I dare you to listen to those burly, jovial voices and tell me you don't immediately conjur up the image of a rippling 80s leather daddy muscle stud with the handle bar mustache and bikers cap. They knew exactly what they were doing when they made this.

And so I rest my case. Tis gay, your honour.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go serve my country dancefloor.

Leonetta. They were my first big ship ever. Have been a defender for them for solid 10 years, it's not been an easy road at all times, and I've had millions of discussions about them. But in the end, they're canon and they're endgame, I've won x)

Cazzie. I think it's because, I saw myself so much in Casey? Like I got her vibe very well. I'm not 100% into the execution, I mean i'm not much for the cheating, but... she and Izzie are so cute :3

I’m sure Speedwagon being gay and in love with Jonathan is canon. I mean, it has to be intentional. He’s a confirmed bachelor, like, come on. Also, agree wrt part 5’s ages. I know it’s bc of the shonen demo being teen boys, but it being obsessed with making almost every character a minor and putting them in works that deal with themes that would be better suited for adults characters is one of my biggest pet peeves. Also agree about DioPucci. I am a Pucci slut and he deserves to be happy dammit

Araki heavily hints at a LOT of queer themes and I think based on how explicit things were in the part 5 anime it's very intentional. I'm glad we are at the point where we can show them more explicitly, but I do feel Araki was out here doing queer shit since the late 80s what with "Confirmed Bachelor" Speedwagon. I did read that in Araki's book on writing manga he talked about writing m/m romance. Can't remember the wording exactly and I haven't read it myself, but I believe it. Actually I'm looking at the book right now on Amazon and am very tempted to buy it for Kindle to confirm lmao.

I feel like all the other Jojo parts do much better with the age thing. Most other main characters are like 19. Jotaro is a bit young too, but at least he's 17 so almost an adult. Josuke and friends being 16 tracks because it's kind of slice of life and you see them going to school and stuff. But part 5 is like...most of them are underage and none of them go to school and they're all gangsters anyway. We never see Giorno in school and he lives by himself in a dorm? They all should have been in their early twenties and Giorno gets by by scamming tourists. Bruno and Abbacchio should be like 30. You're telling me Abbacchio graduated the police academy, became disillusioned, got his partner killed, quit and became an alcoholic, and got saved by Bruno by the time he was 20? You're killing me Araki.

(now is a good time to gas up One Piece, the ages for that skew older which I like. Luffy is 17 in the first part, 19 currently. The youngest is Chopper who is 15/17 and he's a reindeer so.)

Dio and Pucci's relationship no matter what it is is so endlessly fascinating to me. Dio really treats Pucci different from anyone else we see him with, bitch goes full philosopher around Pucci. He loves Tony, he really does. But if the so called genius forgets his reading glasses one more time, Peter will lovingly shout at him. Because he had covered the entire lab in neon post it notes, programmed an alarm in each A.I and explicitly reminded Tony every day before the road trip. They were going to Europe and that implied museums and fancy menus and speeches and glasses so Tony wouldn't be squinting at tiny words whenever he was curious about something. But Peter was 99.999999% sure his boyfriend would accidentally forget to pack his things just so he could show the world Tony Stark was not ageing, no sir. Which is why Karen and Friday had helped Peter buy and safe guard thirty pairs of glasses in their luggage.

By the fourth day, they were all gone. Peter is seconds away from scolding Tony because this was important, it has to do with his health, dammit, when he turns around and there's a cat. His boyfriend is cooing at the feline, scratching beneath a furry chin and grinning when the cat begins pawing at the last pair of glasses they have. Does his heart melt at the sight? Yes. Was he still angry? Absolutely. Will he ask Tony how the hell he found a cat in the jet hangar? No. They've been together for eight months, Peter's used to animals just showing up and seeking Tony out.

"No." A hurt look is aimed at him and he won't laugh, he can't surrender even if the cat copies Tony's face and gives the most pitiful meow Peter has heard in eighteen years.

"But it's all alone here, Peter. And look, it's cute like you." It is a pretty cat, fur an almost identical shade to Tony's hair and the fluffiest tail a cat could posses. That's not the point though, is it?

"It could belong to someone in the area or have kittens. We can't just take them, Tony. And a cat is a responsibility. It's not like having DUM-E or Karen. You have to feed the cat, vaccinate them, pet them, clean them and not forget them in a hotel five cities away. I won't be at the house every day to remind you to look after yourself and a cat. "

The billionaire lights up and Peter knows he'll have a headache by the end of this.

It's been amazing to travel all over Europe, he's enjoyed exploring new places with Tony. After months of rising crime, overwhelming homework and hungry rivals choking the life out of them, a vacation was desperately needed. He's not in the mood to fight, but he will if he has to. Peter knows Tony is getting older and he doesn't care. Sure, he cares about his health and making Tony go to monthly check ups and take his vitamins and having his glasses so he could be safe and drive properly and-

Peter cares about his well being. Always. But he doesn't care that Tony's getting older and it's more obvious now than a year ago. There are wrinkles around teasing eyes and sexy graying temples and creaking joints, but that does not mean Peter loves this ridiculous man in front of him any less. He finds Tony gorgeous, always has and always will. It's not just about his body, it's Tony himself that's so attractive. And yeah, he also finds a silver fox Tony really fucking hot. He's 21, he can ogle whoever he wants.

Right now, however, he's staring Tony down.

It's not that he doesn't want to take in every stray and care for them. It's that he can't be sure Tony will remember to act accordingly.

"I asked around and apparently she's already been vaccinated and sterilized by the manager. No one's taken her home yet because most people have allergic family members. She just showed up a few days ago. You have to know that's weird. This cat appears the week we get here and she's already had her shots. What are the chances she'd strut out and start purring at me? Come on, Pete. The universe wants me to take this cat home."

His eyebrow twitches. He's sure of it when Tony glances up and sets his shoulders back. Every Avenger knew to prepare for a fight when Peter's face moved that way. This man would kill him. He's fucking certain he won't live to twenty-five.

"You forgot your glasses in every city we've been to. How am I supposed to let you take a cat with us? "

"I knew you'd have back ups," the blood rushes to his head and the cat snuggles closer to Tony, ears flattening when Peter's lip curls, "and anyway, I won't forget two cats in a hotel because they meow and move. How could I forget when they're alive and not something as small as reading glasses?"

Distantly, he's pleased. Happy with the knowledge that his boyfriend knows how to read him like a book. It's why they're great together, villain or no villain around to threaten their lives. That's something he'll preen over later while calling Ned. Now he smiles, teeth bared and eyes cold.

"Did you say two cats? Because I swear I'll leave you here, Tony. I've got Karen and a car and lots of sightseeing to do. If there's another cat, I will drive away and call Pepper to pick you up. And you know how she gets when you make her travel half way around the world, Tony. I will finish this trip. If you wanna keep the cats, then keep them. Here in a hotel, practicing how to care for them while I do what I wanted to do with you. Or you can send them to the house with someone else and join me. I know you, you're gonna end up with cats in the house. But I am not babysitting two cats while worrying about you too. I love you, I do. I won't do it, Tony."

His heart would be destroyed if anything happened to those cats and Peter had no plans to cry during this trip. Something shifts in Tony's face and he sighs, defeated. A pout is forming rather quickly and Peter can't believe this is the same man that saved the universe. His boyfriend is a child. He's head over heels in love with a child and Peter knows it. Christ, he won't last two minutes angry if Tony keeps sulking like that. It hurts too much.

Hands that have used Infinity Stones are softly setting the cat down when Peter groans, rocks on his heels and mentally curses his parents in law for bringing an insanely ridiculous man into the world.

"Fine, keep the cats. But you are not losing those glasses and I better see you taking all your pills. Ok, Tony? I mean it, they are your responsibility and I don't want you leaving them in a hotel because you were too busy thinking about something else-"

Tony drops the cat, pounces at him and he's suddenly in the air, strong arms twirling him in a circle. It's the silliest thing they've done in their whole trip and they'd taken pictures with a shoe as a tripod.

Laughter bubbles up and Peter is helpless to stop the joy that washes over him at the sight of his grinning boyfriend. He really loves this man.

He wraps his own hands around Tony's face, draws him in and kisses the smile that's replaced a pout. They stay like that, Peter straddling Tony, lips intertwined and laughter slipping out every few seconds. The cat meows at them for attention and he thanks Maria and Howard Stark for such an insanely wonderful boyfriend.

(They keep the cats, finish the trip and Tony never loses a pair of glasses again. Then again, he never had.)
