oh good christ what did legends of tomorrow do? i know about the agatha show but i was gonna watch that show?
oh boy. off the top of my head:
only jewish actor playing the only jewish character on the show at the time played an ancestor of his own character (also jewish, the guyâs last name is literally stein) who was a serial killer that used the blood of his victims in an occult ritual (to resurrect a man who worked with nazis)
only jewish actor playing the only jewish character on the show at the time got shot in the back and killed by nazis during dctvâs âcrisis on earth-x crossover,â which takes place in a world where the nazis won world war ii and all of the main hero characters from dc shows are nazis (and main universe eobard thawne is a mengele-style nazi scientist). this includes jewish coded kara zor-el. you get to see the star of david on his coffin as itâs lowered into his grave which is great representation. said actor publicly stated he would like to come back but was never asked. sorry zayde <3
at a different point in time they also had that character go undercover and sing for nazis for some reason. i donât know why they did that
new jewish actor! this one is playing the definition of a nebby jewish stereotype! but heâs bisexual (maybe pansexual?) so itâs fine and nobody cares
the nebby jewish stereotype turns out to be an human-eating (potentially reptilian or insectoid but i donât fully recall) alien in disguise. they are told they should have known he was an alien because his last name is green and all aliens are green. btw. but heâs bisexual (maybe pansexual?) so itâs fine and nobody cares
the showâs âperfect womanâ who was the foundation for many âperfect woman clonesâ is a white goyishe blond lady. people said this was progressive because sheâs sapphic (i think a lesbian).
character who is not jewish on the show but is in the comics works for the devil
they also redeem at least one (iirc two?) characters who worked for nazis. the show runner said he considered one of them to be as lovable as the main cast
and this doesnât even include things like them having two separate black female characters who went into animalistic rages, a fan favorite character trying to pressure a muslim woman into eating bacon, the nebby jewish stereotype complimenting someoneâs nordic features, and the genuinely sickening scene where they go back to the civil war era and the only female black character in the cast has to watch a slave be whipped. so the real question is what DIDNâT legends of tomorrow do!
#antisemitism /#racism /#antiblackness /#i donât even like. know what else to tag it is genuinely really astonishingly bad#not even getting into the caity lotz stuff#Anonymous

Arrowverse Season 2021/22 Overview:
âSupergirlââs and âStargirlââs 2020/21-Seasons are still running, which is very strange, but I wanted to make on of those anyways before the new Seasons are starting to air, so I will just include âSupergirlâ in it for one last time, I guess. But with the upcoming Five Episode Event I felt like I had to do one.
 Supergirl:
âSupergirlâ Season 6 is still airing, and even though the season does actually belong to the 2020/21-Season while the 2021/22 Season is about to start, the show will be around for two more months. The Finale will air on November 9th, it will be a two hour event, so to speak, however it is currently unknown if the last two episodes are an actual two-parter or if they are just airing on the same day for scheduling reasons.
We have reached the second half of the season, which will include the guest appearances of well known faces, starting with Mxyzptlk and John Diggle in the current episodes. Mxy will of course return in later episodes to wrap up his storyline. Lex and Lillian will also make their return. Odette Annable was supposed to return somewhen this season, but since we have not heard anything about that anymore, it might have fallen through. However we will see Eliza Danvers and our boys again. Eliza as well als James, Winn and Mon-El will be in the Series Finale and some of them might drop in sometime before that. Nyxly and her hunt for totems will be the main story arc in the upcoming episodes, with each episode focusing on one totem and its trait and a Superfriend, who does represent that trait. Also, both Kelly and Lena will embrace their newfound destinies, while William will be tasked with Andreaâs Superfriends focused news stories.
Hopefully we will get so see Mâgann somewhen before the show wraps again and get an explanation for her absence since Kara has returned, but this is not confirmed. Also John Diggle might be the only guest appearance from other Arrowverse Shows for the Final Season. In theory Clark, Lois and Barry could show up, however only if they would have filmed those scenes around the time their respective Seasons wrapped and before they went on leave. It does however seem that we will see the return of Overgirl in the Finale. There is going to be an epic battle (or a couple of battles) that will involve pretty much everyone (including James, Winn and Mon-El) and there will be a funeral. But donât worry, oddly enough pretty much everyone will be attending this funeral, so ⊠could it be Supergirlâs funeral and the way to end the show, with Kara either power-less or leaving for another place? Also, we might get a wedding in the Finale as well.
With the end of âSupergirlâ Melissa will be done with the Arrowverse for a while, however Chyler will be back in the weeks after on âThe Flashâ, and we might get to see Kelly and Nia as well the other shows after the Finale has aired.
 Batwoman:
Season 3 of âBatwomanâ will start airing on October 13th on The CW, so yes, the show will move to Wednesdays at 9:00 pm.
Ryan, Alice, Luke, Mary and Sophie are all back. The first trailer already dropped and does explain how and why Alice is still on the show. Meanwhile there is no word on Jacob. However Season 3 will add Robin Givens as Jada Jet, Nick Creegan as Marquis Jet and finally (sadly two seasons too late) Renee Montoya played by Victoria Cartagena to the Main Cast. Montoya will be a former Police Officer in this version, continuing the Police and Armed Forces Corruption Trend into Season 3, as she did quit for ehtical reasons. She will now run a âFreak Divsionâ for the Mayorâs Office, and we might even get the Question already. Maybe.
The Jets on the other hand are a rich and powerful family, with mother Jada running Jets Industries. Son Marquis on the other hand will be the typical good-for-nothing playboy at constant war with his mother. Now I will just have to admit that I have stopped watching âBatwomanâ and donât intend to return to watch it ever again outside of Future Crossover Episodes (maybe), but it looks like the Jada is maybe Ryanâs birth-mother and that this is the connection of those characters to Ryan. If that isnât the case ⊠well, then there is another first-born child Jada had to give up and is guilting on about, so ⊠yeah, make of this what you will.
Bigger news are the villains. Every one and their mother did hear about Poisin Ivy showing up this year. Bridget Regan will play her, and she has history with Batman, so she will be Poison Ivy already. Also Mad Hatter will appear this season, and so will Killer Croc it seems. The show may also feature Penguine, but donât hold your breath for that.
Now, production-wise Season 2 lost itâs final episode. It is unknown if 3.01 will just be that one, or if they like after Season 1 just put it in the trash and completley re-wrote it. Also according the the Directorâs Guild Season 3 will wrap in December, which means The CW probably only ordered 13 episodes. Now, they may extend that order to something between 15 and 18 Episodes, but it does seems likely that they are planning to replace âBatwomanâ with either âSuperman & Loisâ or âNaomiâ in early 2022, so it might really be a 13 Episodes Season.
However, we will see Ryan Wilder interact with someone else from the Arrowverse this year, but not on âBatwomanâ. She will guest star on Season 8 of âThe Flashâ, meaning that there will probably be a Ryan-less or Ryan-light episode somewhere in the middle of this 13 episodes, so be ready for that.
 Legends of Tomorrow:
Legends of Tomorrow will return from their shortest break in-between seasons ever on October 13th and will air on Wednesdays at 8:00 pm.
The first trailer dropped already and confirms what we have been told at ComicCon and seen in the Season 6 Finale: Â Yes, the Legends (minus Mick and Kayla) are stranded in 1920s with a broken or destroyed Waverider. They have to deal with this, when Season 7 begins.
John Constantine has left the show, but Matt Ryan hasnât. He will play a new character this season. A scientist called Gwyn Davies, who is probably related to John Constantine and might have something to do with the key John gave to Zari. He will be the only hope for the Legends to ever get out oft he 1920s it seems. The other new-old addition to the main cast will be fleshy Gideon, we learned. Given what happened to the Waverider, it will be interesting to see how this comes about, however the 100th Episode is a good guess to when it will happen.
Now, given that Season 6 just finished airing a few weeks ago, we donât know much about Season 7. We have the titles of the first six episodes, Episode 3 is the 100th and will be directed by Caity Lotz (funnily enough itâs her third episode as well!), Episode 5 will probably focus on Gwyn Davies, and according to the Directorâs Guild âLegendsâ is supposed to wrap in December, which means it finally happened - we will get only 13 Episodes this year. However, The CW may extend this order, they have done so several times in the past, and if we are lucky and keep our fingers crossed they may extend their oder to 15 or maybe even 16 episodes again. However just like in the case of âBatwomanâ the show is probably supposed to be replaced by either âNaomiâ or âSuperman & Loisâ at the Mid-Season, so it really depends on the 2022 schedule and on how fast the production goes on and on well ⊠the question if this will be the showâs last season.
But before we deal with that one, letâs deal with the other open questions. We are supposed to see Dom again in Season 7, he and Phil made a handshake deal on that. But will it really happen? I have no idea, because like everyone else, I have no idea what the falling out was actually about (my best guess is that they wanted him for half a season and he was not to pleased with that idea in the middle of a pandemic), but the travelling restrictions are lifted for vaccinated people at least, so if we are lucky this might just work out. However I have no idea when, how often, and in what order his appearances or his appearance will happen. And yes, traditionally it should be the 100th Episode, but I have no idea if there are special guest stars in there. If there are, other than Mick, the best guess to who it might be would be Ray Palmer and John Constantine. Brandon Routh will appear as Ray Palmer in Season 8 of âThe Flashâ, meaning that he went to Vancouver to shoot stuff, so he could have been there longer already and shot something for the 100th Episode, but the timing does not seem right, we might get to see him in another episode of Season 7 instead or we might not see him at all. As for John, Matt Ryan is still on the show, and yes, the did say time and time again that Constantineâs story on the show is done, but his last scene was very strange and left many unanswered questions, he cleary was from a point in the future and knew about the cliffhangar, plus we never saw him get out of the Fountain, which was kind of strange, so maybe they will actually wrap up his story in Season 7. Now, Matt Ryan did post a picture of Constantine walking away some days after the Finale of Season 6 had aired, but he could have posted this after he had just shot his last appearance as John Constantine. But even if they wrap up these open questions or reveal that the person in that last scene was not John at all and he is actually still dead or something like that, they might not do in the 100th Episode but at a later point. Or they might not do it all. They had two seasons to make Charlie and Amaya meet and did not do it, it is very possible that we actually did saw the last of John in Season 6.
So now to the question we donât want to think about: Will Season 7 be the final Season? I have said time and time again, that âLegendsâ is the one Arrowverse-Show that could go on forever, if they wanted to. The ever-changing cast would make it possible. Even if Caity Lotz were to leave, they could just make another character the new Team Leader, they could even go as far as to make it Nia Nal or Nora West-Allen. However I donât really think The CW thinks like that. Now, the show is still around because the producers are doing what they can to reduce the cost of it. âSuperman & Loisâ is the Arrowverse-Show with the biggest budget, but it getâs money from HBOmax, as does âBatwomanâ or so they say, however âLegendsâ does not, and it is show that costs the network the most. The have to recreate several different time periods on a weekly basis and are an ensemble show, do the maths. Also this season will include the 100th episode, and while streaming changed the television landscape up quite a lot in the last couple of years, old pratices are still a factor in the mind of Network Executives, meaning they want 100 Episodes but often donât really care about the seasons after this point.
However, The CW and Mark Pedowitz really want to do another Crossover, if they can get one. And the Five Episode Event on âThe Flashâ wonât really be that. And after âSupergirlâ is finished, âLegendsâ and âThe Flashâ will be the only Arrowverse-Shows from good old times, whose characters do know and like each other. While everyone knows Superman, they are still keeping this show apart from the rest of the Arrowverse, so I do think that if âThe Flashâ gets a 9th Season, they are probably going to give âLegendsâ an 8th Season, if Caity Lotz stays on the show and ratings are at the usual level. However I might be wrong there.
But if they are axing the show or ending it, we will probably be informed about it before Season 7 starts airing. If Season 7 is the last one, the writers should know that by now. And I also think that if Season 7 is the last one, they might just add a couple of episodes to it in order to make a Finale.
So yeah, I donât know, we really have to wait and see, but the show will in any case get a proper ending, that much is for sure.
 The Flash:
Covid delays lead to a later than usual start for the shooting of Season 8. So while âBatwomanâ and âLegends of Tomorrowâ have already done around 7 episodes each, âThe Flashâ is still on Episode 3, which is why the season will only start airing on November 16th.
The season will start of with âArmageddonâ â a Five Part Special Event, that will involve various guest stars and might or might not be based on the Comic-Event with the same name. âArmageddonâ will feature Ray Palmer (the Atom), Jefferson Pierce (Black Lightning), Alex Danvers (Sentinel), Mia Queen (Green Arrow), Eobard Thawne (Reverse-Flash), Damien Darhk, Ryan Choi and Ryan Wilder (Batwoman). Yes, most of those characters are from former shows (even though âSupergirlâ will just end the week before this event starts airing), but the new Batwoman is in it, so it is an actual Crossover with an on-going show. It will be the first time Ryan Wilder gets to interact with any Arrowverse-Characters outside of âBatwomanâ. The villain of the piece will be Despero. Tony Curran will play the villain in probably both alien and human form. He might or might not team up with Eobard and Damien Darhk, who by the way was dead and in hell the last time we saw him, which combinded with Mia Smoak here leads into the idea that time travel might play into âArmageddonâ, which will feature an Alien Invasion too big for Team Flash to handle alone, which is where all those guest stars come in. âArmageddonâ will also feature Deon Owen, Sue Dearborn and Jay Garrick. And Kristen Kramer, if Eric Wallace is to be believed, because the first few episoded of this season are supposed to explore her powers.
Now, there might be even more guest stars in âArmageddonâ, but we can expect those who were announced to be the big ones. Everyone else is probably only doing a couple of scenes or a cameo. However letâs go through a list of likely suspects, who might also show up:
Kelly Olsen is of course the first, who comes to mind, she is only just becoming Guardian on âSupergirlâ now, the actress did stick around in Vancouver, and it would be weird if Alex was in those episodes but Kelly wasnât. However, given that she was not announced, they either did not do that because they did not want to spoil her Guardian-Storyline (which just started a while after the guest stars were announced) or because she plays only a very small part in the storyline. Or she really is for whatever reason not in it. Next on the list would be Nora Darhk; with both her husband and her father showing up, it would be weird for her not to appear, but other than with Kelly there could be pratical reasons for that, namely Courtneyâs and Brandonâs son Leo. However with no Quarantine for vaccinated travelers from the US anymore, the whole family could have gone to Vancouver for a couple of days or weeks, so maybe she will show up. Then there is John Diggle. David Ramsey is directing Episode 2 of Season 2 of âSuperman & Loisâ, meaning he is in Vancouver, so in theory he could appear. I am compileing this before his last guest appreance on âSupergirlâ airs, when  the whole Green Lantern thing is still up in the air, so maybe we will get Green Lantern-Diggle in âArmageddonâ after all. And then there is of course Superman. âSuperman & Loisâ did just start filming Season 2, so the main reason Tyler is not among these guest stars is probably scheduling. However he might be able to film a cameo or even a couple of scenes, so there is hope, just remember that they would have announced it, if he would play a big part in it.
Now Bart and Nora West-Allen are confirmed to be in this season, however it is unknown if they are in âArmageddonâ. Scheduling is a conflict there for Jordan Fisher, who has a Broadway Show upcoming soon, so I am not sure when Impulse and XS will show up, however it would be more logical for them to be around at the beginning of the season rather than in the middle or at the end. Also Irisâ Time-Sickness is not cured and will factor into the season, however Eric Wallace stated this would come into play after âArmageddonâ, so maybe her kids will factor into that storyline.
After âArmageddonâ we will return to the Horror-Gerne it seems, with a villain that will make Barrys and Irisâ life into a living nightmare. Whatever that is supposed to mean. There are guesses around who this villain is, but no one really knows. It also is a problem that Eric Wallace tends to talk very much without saying anything and often misleads people with his discription of up-coming storylines so ⊠I would say think about the Bloodwork-Arc, it might just be something along these lines, or maybe it just is the person, who causes Iris to be time-sick (whatever that actually means) and Westallen will spend most of Season 8 apart again, because this is just the way Wallace writes them in order to keep their relationship interesting.
There will also be a storyline for Frost and Caitlin, that was supposed to be in Season 7, and maybe if we are very lucky that will finally be the one about their Mother and her Ice Powers. Joe will also get a storyline, which ⊠I have no idea ⊠might continue his strange Season 7 Storyline about being or not being a cop. Or he might just marry Cecile and thatâs it, like I said Wallace ha a strange way of teasing upcoming storylines.
As for the Ralph-Question, no news there, as for the âWill we see Cisco this season?â-Question, also no news. Now, Rick Cosnett said something about returning to âThe Flashâ, however he might not have meant Season 8, if the season is not the last one, he might have referred to the same storyline Tom Cavanagh talked about a while back - the Final Storyline. And yes, there was talk about the return of Zoom, but this was more an actor wanting to return to a show than anything planned, so donât expect him to show up anytime soon either. As for Bloodwork and Goodspeed, I have no idea if and when their storylines are going to be resolved, but the chances for Goodspeed are slighty better, I think.
Now, finally: Will Season 8 be the Last Season of âThe Flashâ? That really is up to Grant Gustin and what he signed on for when he signed up for Season 8. Despite Season 7 The CW still wants the show as long as possible around. If Grant sigend up for Season 8 and 9, there will be a Season 9. If he only signed up for Season 8, it depends on a decision he should be making soon. In any case, if Season 8 is the last Season, we will learn that before it starts airing aka in the next couple of months. And they will know long enough beforehand to do their planned Final Storyline.
Given they only began filming in late August and that they are taking their time with the Event, Season 8 will be shorter again. It will probably be around 18 Episodes, maybe if we are lucky, they will get to do 20, but a full 22 Episode Season is rather unlikely to happen.
 Superman & Lois:
âSuperman & Loisâ will return in 2022. The Second Season will feature Natalie Irons played by Taylor Buck as a member of the Main Cast. Sofia Hasmik was also promoted to the Main Cast. Tal-Rho will still be part of the show, however I am not too sure about him still being part of the Main Cast in Season 2. However both he and Leslie Larr will figure into the season.
The main villain wonât be Kryptonian this year. We will learn Tegan Wickhemâs backround (and which Flash Villain she is related to, I hope), Jordan will have to decide if he tells Sarah about his secret or not, and might not agree with his parent on that matter. John Henry will get to parent again, while Intergang and Killgrave will get new allies.
David Ramsey will be directing Episode 2 of this season, but this does not mean that John Diggle will return to the show. Given that this is âSuperman & Loisâ, even if he is going to guest-star this season, he wonât do that in Episode 2, but rather a couple of episodes later, when he is finished with the directorial stuff.
The Directorâs Guilt Date does indicated that Season 2 is aiming for 13-16 Episode Season again. The only just started filming and plan to wrap in April, and there will be a Christmas Break, and thanks to Covid most seasons will be shorter this year again anyways. The CW might of course extend their Episode Order again, but keep in mind that if they do that, they have the problem of having to start shooting Season 3 later again, so the show might settle for 15 Episode Seasons as their normal lenght in the end.
And while it is not confirmed that there will be a third season, it is very likely that the network will order one.
They are probably planning to have âSuperman & Loisâ replace âBatwomanâ or âLegendsâ in early 2022, but it will be months before we will know the exact start-date.
There will be a panel at DC-Fandome, hopefully we will get some sort of trailer with footage from the first couple of episodes and some information what the season is actually going to be about then, but for now this is sadly all we know about Season 2.
I am still not covering âStargirlâ as it hasnât crossed over with the Arrowverse yet and I am alos not doing âNaomiâ because it wonât be an Arrowverse-Show. So that was it for this one.

Behrad Tarazi Headcanons:
Zari adored him when they were little, reading him his favorite book every night. However, they grew apart when Zari came to believe their parents loved him more and, as a result, threw herself into improving.Â
Behrad, sadly, doesnât remember this initial closeness and instead believes she was always distant and dismissive towards him.Â
Being both the baby of the family and the only son, he was always doted on and coddled by his parents.Â
However, they also put a lot of pressure on Behrad to succeed, specifically academically, and set him up with a wide verity of tutors and extracurricular activities with a focus on the hard science. This was in addition to a rigorous, private school education.
While Behrad was able to appreciate all his parents did for him, his more relaxed nature made him ill-suited for this type of environment and even grew to resent the fact that Zari seemed to be able to do anything she wanted while he was forced to deal with his parentsâ expectations and control over his life.Â
This resentment towards his sister grew when she took to live streaming family events, like his twelfth birthday and motherâs day.Â
He got into weed while in high school as a way to cope with his loneliness and the high stress he was under.Â
Behrad has a deep love of art and spent a lot of his free time growing up doodling.Â
He actually wanted to go to art college but never brought it up because he knew they wanted him to business school and didnât want to disappoint them.Â
He got accept to and did actually attend The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, but spent most of his time there deeply unhappy and, despite his friendly nature, did not make any strong bonds with any other students.Â
Zari attempted to bond with the Air Totem once when she was in college but was rejected by it. Behrad never tried due to a general lack of interest.Â
Unfortunately, Kuasa attacked him during his junior year of college under the belief he had it. He obviously didnât and was nearly killed before the Legends showed up to save him.
The resulting fight ended with Kuasa escaping and Behrad, upon realizing that sheâd be going to his parentsâ house where the Air Totem actually was and that his family was in danger.
He and the Legends then book it back to his parentsâ house where Behrad steals the Air Totem and, while trying to protect the Legends during another fight with Kuasa, ended up bonding with it.Â
When all was said and done, Behrad decided âfuck business schoolâ and that he wanted to join the Legends.
They, however, were hesitant to let him due to his age and that he still had family who would be suspicious if he disappeared.
But Behrad was all like, âyou guys saved my life so I and my magic wind rock is your problem now.â
So join the Legends he did and quickly became the team psuedo-baby brother, specifically to Sara and Ray.
Unlike Zari 1.0, who was very hesitate to open herself emotionally to the Legends, Behrad was perhaps TOO eager to due so, resulting in some initial awkwardness.Â
The reason behind this is that the Legends were the first real friends he ever had since, after a few bad experiences where people only befriended him to hopefully get to Zari, he always kept himself distant from the majority of his peers.Â
He DOES have his own bedroom on the Waverider, but still prefers to spend most of his time in his little stoner cave in the lab.Â
Despite being raised Muslim, he isnât particularly devout.Â
Sara likes to refer to him as âher only good childâ but this isnât really the case. Its more like his time bros, Ray and Nate, are usually more than happy to help him fix up any mistakes he makes before Time Mom Sara finds out about them.Â
When he first joined the team, everyone was scared to let him spend too much time alone with Mick for fear that Mickâs bad habits would rub off on him.Â
Behrad and Cisco get along like a house on fire and it worries EVERYONE.
He thinks Constantine is really cool and it worries EVERYONE.Â
Constantine, for his part, is fond of Behrad but gets annoyed at the younger manâs habit of poking at Johnâs magic stuff and accidentally eating some of Johnâs potions ingredients while high.Â
He thrives off of the big sister/little brother relationship he has with Sara (as confirmed by Caity Lotz) due to never feeling close to Zari.
Behrad secretly draws little comics of the Legendsâ adventures, but only Gideon has seen them.Â

Re: caity lotz(?) Seems like straight white blonde actresses who play queer women onscreen are having quite a week. You've psoted about S19 before and Mayas actress had a live w Vic and said some mildly annoying stuff but it pissed ppl pff and they dug and apparently she's Republican which. Yikes. Though as a POC who grew up around yts she sounds like just regular ignorant yt women I know irl. I do love Maya though and I'm going to watch but what do u think about separating characters/actors?
Hey anon!! Thanks for the question and the heads up on Maya/Vic... smh đ
For me, personally, I always keep myself emotionally one IG live from cutting off white and/or cishet celebs from my life đ Iâm old enough now that Iâm past the âCharlie Brown kicking the footballâ idealization of celebs and even though there are certain canon creations that I love, literally there is always something new coming out, so I just donât miss it. Gina Carano said some stupid shit? Welp, someoneâs getting a tumblr filter. For Sci Fi fun, I had Vagrant Queen, and Away is great, and for longstanding franchises, Star Trek has their animated series. Hell, go back to Cleopatra 2525 for some sci fi shenanigans I guarantee you havenât seen anywhere else.
I can see the Baby Yoda gifs on every social media platform lol. Itâs not like the studio is going to be broken by my lack of engagement but my online space is curated to make me happy and I sincerely doubt anyone cares that I stopped engaging with Kacey Musgraves content after the ao dai incident lol
But I think itâs all about guilt/shame. Guilt is internal, what can you stomach excusing? Shame is external, and you just have to deal with being judged and possibly called out if you continue consuming content that benefits people whose opinions are shit đ€·đ» The worst thing ppl do is rationalize and thatâs how we end up with âK*lo is coded femaleâ crap lmao

Top ten (11) Bi/Pan characters Part 1
Happy Pride Month! I was talking to someone about representation in media and it got me thinking about my favorite bisexual characters, so I thought Iâd make this list. Iâm only including canonically bisexual/pan characters that have been shown to be romantically interested in or sexually interested in both genders or non-binary people, so no characters that are shipped as bi; Iâm mostly having this rule because having actual representation really matters. Iâll also do my best to not include problematic characters/media, I donât want to include villains or shows that are fond of killing off under represented groups. I know some characters its hard to tell what sexuality they are, as it isnât always explicitly stated; but I went with characters that clearly are shown as not being completely straight or completely homosexual, sexuality is a spectrum and being mostly into one or the other still counts. I actually realized after making this that I had 11 characters, so oops.
11. Quentin Coldwater (The Magicians)
(Spoilers for seasons 1-4 of the Magicians) Quentin was a character that I wasnât all that fond of at the beginning of the series because he had a lot of that blank slate main character stuff going on, but as the show went on he really grew on me and showed who he was. Iâm guessing in the book heâs more fleshed out at the beginning because you know more about whatâs going on in his head, so Iâm guessing translating that to a t.v. series made him seem less interesting at first. My favorite moments with him are when he uses his intelligence and creativity to solve problems, and when he gets sick of someoneâs shit and tells them they are being an ass. Heâs clearly shown as having romantic and sexual interest in both genders, and while he did hurt some feelings by doing it; he was clearly very remorseful and very much regretted it. He also much later asks Eliot to be in a relationship with him after they live a whole life time together, which is about as romantic as you can get.
10. Rosa Diaz (Brooklyn 99)
I know we are all on a cop bashing spree lately (A very justified one, donât get me wrong), but this is a fictional character in an alternate reality where most cops are actually trying to help people, and I wouldnât consider the show to be cop propaganda because they show cops being racist, negligent, and incompetent as well, so I donât think its fair to hate a show because of what is going on in real life when the show isnât preaching anything harmful. Rosa is smart, funny, caring, and a total badass; Iâve always loved badass female characters in leather jackets. She has her anger issues, and issues socializing with people, but she still cares deeply for her friends and does her best to always do the right thing. Her struggle to deal with her sexuality and coming out to her friends and family, and the show does it in a very grounded and mature way. Her parents struggling to accept her was very sad to see, but also a sad reality for many people; and I loved that they acknowledge that even now we struggle to be accepted. Her friends are all very understanding and do everything to help her understand that they love and accept her and her having an openly gay captain to look up to is a cool bonus.
9. Harley Quinn (D.C. Comics)
Now I said I wouldnât include any villains so this is kind of cheating, but she is an anti-hero in some versions, and the picture I used was specifically from the video game Injustice 2 where she is a member of the Justice League and a reformed villain so I donât think its completely fair to just say sheâs a villain. Her first relationship was horrible and incredibly toxic, but she learned and grew from that experience and moved on to other romantic interests like Poison Ivy and a few others. Sheâs had a few partners in different versions of the comics/ t.v. shows/ films/ video games, some more healthy than others; but she is constantly learning and growing as a person. I love her fun and playful personality, most of her outfits, her crazy weapons, and her hyenas Bud and Lou. The version of her from the Injustice games and comics is my favorite because of her outfit, her character growth, and how well they write her character.
8. Iron Bull (Dragon Age: Inquisition)
Iron Bull is one of my favorite companions in any Dragon Age game, heâs such a fun character. Heâs charming, honest, caring, and both literally and metaphorically a giant badass. His upbringing and culture are very different than the other races, and sexuality to him isnât really about the gender of his partner and that kind of thing just isnât a big deal to him. You have the option to just have sex with him or become romantically involved with him in the game, but even if you donât he still brings up how he feels about that kind of thing; so his sexually is still cannon even if you donât do anything with him. I didnât put Liara from the Mass Effect games on here because while Iâve only played the first two, I havenât seen any evidence that outside of the player character she is interested in people romantically or sexually; and also her species seems to be gender fluid and the whole thing is just too complicated for me to try and figure out at 1:30 in the morning. Iron Bull is a very interesting character in the game, and early on you make a choice that changes his personality and it is interesting to see the differences that decision has on him. Heâs also voiced by Freddie Prinze Jr. which blew me away, because I could not tell based on how he sounds in game.
7. Lucifer Morningstar (Lucifer)
While I am familiar withe the D.C./ Vertigo comics that he is in I have not read all of them, so I am going with the very not blonde t.v. version of the character. Lucifer is a charming and charismatic man-child in the show, and loves having fun; which makes the character a lot of fun to watch. He also isnât breaking my no villains rule because he is the main protagonist of the show, and while he has done some bad things; he and the show make a explicit point about how much he hates that people assume he is evil because his dad forced him to rule over hell. He flirts with and defiantly has many sexual partners of male and female, and even makes jokes like âWhat? Its called a devilâs threesome for a reason.â Another reason that I picked the t.v. show version is because Tom Ellisâs portrayal of Lucifer just oozes sexuality and charm. Lucifer has a lot of issues that make him into the character that he is, but he tries his best to do the right thing; and does genuinely care about his friends and family; and feels remorse when he does things that hurt them. For a character that is assumed to be evil by most people, he has a very vocal sense of justice, and has no qualms about delivering what he considers to be justice.
6. Sara Lance (Arrow/ Legends of Tomorrow)
Sara is strong, beautiful, and has a strong sense of justice. I love her white costumes, and how she just bounces around time seducing people; sheâs a female Jack Harkness in that aspect. She is another character deeply devoted to her friends and family, and while she has made mistakes, she definitely learned from them. I also love how sheâs a female character that they actually show as muscular. (Spoilers to follow for both shows) She struggles to not give in to her assassin training at times, but she has gotten much better at it. I try not to include characters from fiction where they kill LGBTQ+ characters, but she doesnât stay dead so I really donât think that it counts. She is shown as having both male and female sexual and romantic partners, and I love her current relationship in the show. Caity Lotz says she has had conversations with the writers about the characterâs sexuality, and if sheâs still bisexual if they mostly show her with women, and Caity had to explain that Sara is always bi, no matter who she is with; which I definitely think is an issue that comes up when dealing with writing a bisexual character, because some people just donât seem to understand.

Supergirl's J'onn J'onzz Teases How Crisis Will Continue To Impact Season 5
"Crisis on Infinite Earths" changed everything for Supergirl. Now, she and her friends live on Earth-Prime alongside the Arrowverse's other heroes, but that's not all: Lex Luthor has written himself a new destiny, one that involves him owning the DEO. As a result, the Girl of Steel and her friends will need to make some drastic changes -- and deal with Winn Schott's evil doppelganger, on top of all that. According to Martian Manhunter actor David Harewood, his character J'onn J'onzz has a critical role to play in all of that.
Speaking to CBR, Harewood discussed his role in "Crisis on Infinite Earths" and how he will continue to deal with the fallout of that in the back half of Supergirl Season 5. He teased a new base of operations for Team Supergirl, as well as an increased focus on J'onn's budding career as a private investigator. He also delved into the behind-the-scenes process of directing the episode, including what it was like to work with Jon Cryer as Lex Luthor and how he developed Winn's alter ego with Jeremy Jordan.
CBR: Let's start off with "Crisis on Infinite Earths," because you had a critical part to play in all that. Tell me a little about how you found about J'onn's role and the experience of filming that crossover.
David Harewood: Normally, I'm hardly in the crossover, so I normally go home and see my family and kids. [laughs] This season, I was specifically told that I would be having an integral role in the crossover. Going through all four of them -- I think Batwoman was the only show I wasn't in⊠it was pretty full-on, but I did get a heads up that I would be playing a pivotal role and filling in everyone with their memories. If not for J'onn, then a lot of people wouldn't have had the opportunity to do that. It's great that J'onn was able to utilize those specific capabilities in order to help everybody readjust and reconfigure their worldview, as it were.
Of all the shows, Supergirl seems to be the most impacted by "Crisis." How does J'onn continue to play a role in that moving forward?
We have to recognize a whole new threat, which is Lex Luthor, and act accordingly. Now that the DEO is very much in the hands of LuthorCorp, we see J'onn build a whole new space, which we call the Tower, which is a whole new space for the Super Friends to work out of. Going forward, that will be sort of the new DEO. It's a place for all the Super Friends to work out of. We'll see that space going forward, appearing more and more, becoming more and more a space for all of the Super Friends to work out of. That's going to fundamentally [sic] how you see that. J'onn very much embraces himself in this new world, in all of his guises, as not just a crime fighter but also as a detective. We do pick up a bit more on his private eye business.
How does J'onn's role as a private eye factor into the back half of Season 5?
Obviously, with all the big changes, with me appearing in the Martian Manhunter suit without the green digital makeup, it's been great really great to just take more ownership of the character. So I'm hoping, if I can, to bring in more of that flavor of the private detective whenever he's out in the world, questioning people. Now that J'onn has recovered from his father's passing, having successfully helped his brother, J'onn starts to embrace more of his Martian self and his Manhunter identity, so hopefully we'll see J'onn in different guises. I think we'll have a bit of shapeshifting going on. It's important to J'onn to go through that process as well, for J'onn to embrace more of his character in terms of him being a private detective who's out in the world, physically helping people and doing what he can to bring justice to the world.
Perhaps the craziest change is that Lex Luthor runs the DEO now. Have you gotten to share any scenes with Jon Cryer in this brave new world?
Not necessarily as an actor, but it was just fantastic to direct him. He's really, really awesome. The first time I've directed somebody who has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame! It was just awesome. I mean, he's so brilliant as Lex Luthor⊠It was great to be able to help him shape the performance through my particular episode, and it was really, really good fun to work with him. I haven't yet had the opportunity to work with him as an actor, but it's been really, really good fun to work with him as a director.
So this is the second episode of Supergirl you've directed. How was your experience different this time around?
It was a much bigger episode. I was really challenged with it. The first time I directed, it was more of a smaller piece, with not too much special effects, but this one was huge and [had] lots of special effects. So I really had to be on my toes and rely very much on the wizards down in LA for some of the special effectsâŠThere's obviously still large pieces of it that I haven't seen completed -- I haven't seen half the technical stuff being done. I've seen a little bit, but I haven't seen some of the technically wizardry, so I'm really looking forward to that on Sunday, seeing it all put together.
This was also the first time I directed myself. I was actually in scenes and directing the scenes, I did ask Caity Lotz -- because Caity Lotz had done it before, had directed herself -- so I asked her while doing the crossover. I also asked one of the other actors on The Flash for his advice, because Tom Cavanagh, he's directed a few episodes and has also been in the episodes. I listened to what they told me.
It was easier for me to sort of split myself between being a director and an actor. On the days I was directing, I very much came in as an actor, so that mentally I was prepared to be in the scenes as well as directing them. It was a little nerve wracking, actually, because some days I suddenly found myself being very nervous. So it was important to me to make sure I knew my lines on those days, because trying to split your concentration wasn't easy at first. It became easier as the week went on.
I'm really looking forward to doing it again. I'm sure it won't be as discombobulating next time, being in the scene that you're actually directing.
Jeremy Jordan has finally returned! How was it to have him back on set? Can you give us a little tease about what this evil version of Winn is like?
Well, he comes back in another guise! Once I knew we were playing two roles, straightaway I was talking to Jeremy about it. We'd been talking to him about ideas; I had been talking to him about ideas, about the character, for at least three weeks, even before we had the script. Once we had the script, I was very much calling him every night, just talking about the character. We'd come up with something that's fun.
He plays two roles on the show, the one being Toyman and the one being our Winn. We wanted to make a distinctive difference between the two. Once you see it, I think you can see there is a distinctive difference in terms of the performance, but I was really looking forward to working with him because he's such a fantastic actor. Having the ability to work with him up close in Season 3, I was able to see just how he approached his work, and it's always a pleasure watching him work, so being in a position where I could direct him was very, very exciting for me. We had a lot of fun.
Airing Sundays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, Supergirl stars Melissa Benoist as Kara Danvers, David Harewood as Martian Manhunter and Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers.

Legends of Tomorrow EP, star preview turbulent times ahead for Sara-Ava, Nate-Hank
âWeâre heading into the world of Mexican wrestling, luchadores. Itâs a great episode for our first one back,â executive producer and showrunner Phil Klemmer tells EW. âThe story line that we really pick up is what happened to poor Mona when that time wave blasted her. She had just been clawed by a Kaupe, and then weâre trying to get back into what Hank Heywoodâs interest in the bureau seems to be.â
This misadventure ends up putting a strain on several relationships that continues for the rest of the season. âWe spent the first half of the season trying to bring people closer together, and the back half of the season is really about challenging the fragile alliance between Nate and his dad, and even the more sturdy alliance between the Legends and the Bureau, and to make it more personal, between Sara and Ava, the respective heads of those two groups,â says Klemmer. âIt sounds depressing. Weâre gonna mess things up for our guys, and weâre going to start seeing some fracture lines appear between characters that I think a lot of us have come to like together. Thatâs the way itâs gotta be sometimes.â
At the beginning of the season, Sara (Caity Lotz) and Ava (Jes Macallan) promised each other that they would continue moving forward; however, in the back half of the season, weâll see them struggle with that promise.
âI think they both love each other very much, so the drama mostly comes from, you have two very powerful women who have very demanding jobs that theyâre the boss of,â says Caity Lotz. âItâs very difficult to try to balance work life and regular life. Of course, too, Avaâs a clone and dealing with some issues about her past and who she is and same with Sara. They both have very colorful pasts. So, itâs mostly, they love each other and they want to make it work, but itâs not going to be easy.â
âIn a lot of ways, their relationship is strong, but theyâve continued to exist primarily in their own spheres,â says Klemmer. âFor Sara and Ava, they both have extraordinary responsibilities, and neither is willing to compromise. [They] have never had a period of domesticity. Theyâre kind of best when theyâre standing in the flames and the world is coming apart around them. Sometimes paradoxically, the hardest, scariest thing to do is sit on the couch or sort through the mail and talk about whoâs going to take the trash out. We thought thatâs very delightful, that for Sara and Ava the most mundane challenges would actually be the most epic because they skipped to the epic stuff in the beginning of their relationship and now theyâre having to do things backwards.â

Legends of Tomorrow - âSeance and Sensibilityâ Review
"Then you are a fool. For you shouldn't have to learn a lesson twice."
Because that Jane Austen/Bollywood mashup was just inevitably going to happen somewhere, right? Right?
Dearest reader, I feel like I have to confess something to you. I know I should have brought this up earlier, but I was just too ashamed. I hope you can find it in your heart to understand and forgive me this sin of omission.
I have never read any Jane Austen.
Not a word.
I know, I know. I swear I've been meaning to for simply ages, but I just haven't gotten around to it. As a result, I really debated whether or not I should hand off this week's review to another Agent of Doux who might be more familiar with the source material. In the end I decided that the showrunners are smart enough to know that not everyone watching will have done the background reading, and would have ensured that it was still a good episode without that extra layer of understanding.
I was mostly right. We have an enjoyable Regency era romp whose themes were well explored and were identifiable as the sort of thing that Jane Austen wrote about even if you didn't know the specific references. Coupled with this we have a super enjoyable Bollywood number, and a reasonably good tangent for the overarching season plot that had some exciting developments.
Unfortunately, we have one thing that's just awful. Just mind-bogglingly, throw-things-at-the-screen, put-your-fist-through-a-mirror, infuriating.
Look, I really love this show. I get no pleasure from lashing out at it like this. So, why don't we start with the good stuff and hold onto our positivity as long as possible.
The Jane Austen stuff is fantastic. We really dig into the theme of whether it's better to give in to your instincts and embrace love or to protect yourself, both in terms of your emotions and your future security, by repressing your feelings and never giving in to desire. Which absolutely feels like the essence of what Jane Austen is about. Again, I say that as an outsider to her catalog. The opposite sides of the argument are represented by Mona and Zari, who stand for giving in to your emotions and remaining emotionally detached, respectively.
Mona being on Team 'Give In To Your Emotions' absolutely tracks. She's consistently gone with her heart over her head all season. Also, that's essentially the whole point of werewolf mythology; i.e. giving in to your primal urges. Zari representing repressed emotions feels like a bit of a stretch, since we've never really viewed her in those terms before. She's mostly been shown as an entirely self confidant and capable person who tends to rely on her reason in times of crisis. But it's not so much of a stretch to retroactively look back at that and suppose that the reason she does so is rooted in a desire to wall herself off emotionally for self protection.
What's particularly nice about this thread is that they allow it to be resolved, and that the character that resolves it is Jane Austen herself. She corrects Mona that her books are actually about people falling in love based on mutual respect, not about losing self control, and then Mona carries that same message back to Zari, but to Zari it reads as 'you don't have to be afraid of falling in love for real, because falling in love isn't a loss of self control', which is a subtly different message. With that, both sides of the debate are brought together in a middle ground and the theme is resolved. It's nice to see that sort of thematic resolution done properly.
The Bollywood stuff, meanwhile, was just hysterical. Ridiculous, often contrived, and completely over the top. So, in other words, Bollywood. The only real complaint I have about the Bollywood number as set in Regency England is that it never really gels with the Jane Austen parts of the story. It feels like two very disparate plot items that just sort of lay next to each other and don't ever start to flavor one another, if that makes sense. It's not a crippling flaw, and the only real complaint about it is that it was completely obvious that Kamadeva the Coachman was the magical creature from the moment we saw him, but that's not too big a complaint. It was all worth it for the way Zari wasn't fooled by him at all, and used the pretense of sex to capture him. You go, girl.
Edging cautiously toward the negative stuff, this was a rare example of the direction being a little muddy. It wasn't clear, for example, that Ray and Nora's sexual tryst was a dream until much later, and the sequence illustrating who stayed at the wake and who left to go on the mission wasn't at all clear as it was happening.
OK. Let's just get to it. I am not down with the retroactive sainting of Hank Heywood. Hank was an emotionally abusive self absorbed asshole who we clearly witnessed, not once or twice but consistently, emotionally abusing his son with absolutely no concern or consideration. The whole, 'Hank was secretly building a magic creature amusement park, and was totally awesome all along, Honest!' thing is pure, unadulterated, 100% bullshit. The worst part is that I think the show really means it and that was really what Hank's plan was. I'm sorry, no. Hank was a monster, end of story.
Look, I freely acknowledge that I'm bringing a lot of my own stuff to this, but there's an insidious and repugnant thing that occasionally shows up in television or film in which a chronic abuser, whom we have watched inflict abuse and who has apparently been doing so their entire life, is suddenly shown to do one decent thing and we're supposed to take that as 'all is forgiven, they're awesome now and none of those decades of abuse counts!'. That is what Nate's Mom's eulogy for Hank is. One Mickey Mouse story and he's totally clear for a lifetime of abusing his son. That is a terrible message to put out there for survivors of abuse, and I absolutely detest it every single time I see it.
That said, it's nice that for once the show remembered that Nate had crippling Hemophilia.
So what have we learned today?
This week we're using Back to the Future rules, mostly for the sight gag of the names on Nora's shirt disappearing. That works as well as anything, I suppose.
Everybody remember where we parked.
This week the Waverider took the Lady Legends (and Ray) to Bath, England 1802. The scenes at Hank's wake were shown as being in D.C. 2019, which means that either there was a hell of a gap between Hank's murder and his wake or that we're glossing over the timescale a bit over the last couple of episodes. Probably the latter.
Quotes:
Mona: "I think my sense of smell has improved because of Wolfie. And you smell exactly like... Nate." Zari: "No, I don't." Mona: "It's definitely Nate. Nate and something else. Arousal?"
Zari: "We are so not passing the Bechdel test right now."
Charlie: "If you don't jump that buff coachman's bones, I will."
Bride: "I cannot marry you, Mr. Dockerty. My heart yearns for another. Our family's scullery maid! Ellen? Are you here?" Ellen the Scullery Maid: "I am! I love you, too!" Mr. Dockerty: "I give not one fig, Miss Sinclair, for my heart and my lower extremities yearn for... your mother!" Mrs. Sinclair: "Get over here, gorgeous!" Charlie: "Now this is what I call a wedding."
Charlie: "Ah, buffing the old bishop, was we? It's all right mate, no judgement here." #ThingAmayaWasUnlikelyToSay
Jane Austen: "Shall we take a turn around the room while we converse?" Mona: "We'd be delighted to. (to Sara) It's a Regency thing. Go with it."
Sara: "Cheer up. I mean, what does Jane Austen know?" Mona: "How to be witty and wise and mix satire with romance."
Charlie: "Wait a sec... is this a Bollywood musical number?" Zari: "You bet your ass it is."
Our romantic heroes, Miss Sinclair and Ellen the Scullery Maid.
Bits and Pieces:
-- Again they built up a situation where I expected Nate to have an emotional rift with the group, and again they undercut it by Nate being totally chill and understanding with Ray about Nora, and even telling him that he loved him and always would. I'm just never prepared for people to behave like rational adults on television. They get me with that one every time.
-- The image of the mirror shattering as John understands what exactly was happening with the demon Neron and Dez was a lovely visual metaphor for how he was feeling at the time. Well directed.
-- Do rich people really do open casket viewings in their own homes still?
-- It was an odd choice for Ray to hide Nora on the Waverider, but makes sense in a 'last place they'd think to look' sort of way. It does raise the question of why Gideon didn't tell on him, though.
-- Tala Ashe has a beautiful voice and rocked that dance number.
-- Mona is now referring to her were-self as Wolfie, and Wolfie refers to Nora as being weak, so it looks like we're following Hulk rules as far as the personality split goes.
-- I love how when they don't have anything for Mick to do, they just have him eat.
-- Nate/Zari/Kamadeva three way. I'm sure Tala Ashe absolutely hated filming that scene.
-- They finally found a period outfit that Caity Lotz doesn't look immaculate in. The white dress looked wonderful, but the red jacket and bonnet just didn't work for her. The lines of the Regency style are just wrong for her face in a way I can't describe.
-- I suspect that the costumes and staging of Ray and Nora's part of the dance number were a deliberate homage to Xander and Anya in 'Once More with Feeling'. They were definitely more of a book number and will never be a breakaway pop hit.
-- Still no mention of Ava, Sara's dream notwithstanding. Â Looks like she's back next week.
So many good parts that all work, even if they don't entirely dovetail with one another. But then we have that great big vile millstone that is the retroactive sainthood of Hank Heywood.
I'm afraid that I can't go any higher than two out of four unaccepted proposals of marriage.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go read Pride and Prejudice.
The version that includes zombies still counts, right?

Fans of Sara Lance aka White Canary will get double dip of the formidable femme this Monday when she appears on The CWâs Arrow (now airing at 9/8c) as well as DCâs Legends of Tomorrow.
âI know we did a Canary-esque episode in a previous seasonâ â Season 2âs âBirds of Prey,â which pitted Sara (played by Caity Lotz) and Laurel (Katie Cassidy Rodgers) against the Huntress â âbut we have been talking about a Birds of Prey-inspired episode for years, and have it really focused on the women,â showrunner Beth Schwartz told TVLine at WGFestival 2019. âI was very determined to make that happen this season.â
Setting things in motion for the female-centric hour is Laurelâs criminal past coming to light, and her being accused of murder. For nearly a full season prior to this, of course, the Earth-Two visitor invested much time and effort into passing herself off as her dearly departed Earth-One doppelgĂ€nger. That gambit didnât fly at first with members of Team Arrow and namely Dinah, whose onetime beau was executed by Black Sirenâs sonic cry.
Nowadays, though, âfrenemy perfectly describes their relationship,â says Dinahâs portrayer, Juliana Harkavy. âLaurel has come a long way, but thereâs always that little question between them, and that history.â
Arrow Spoilers 7x18That complicated history will be agitated anew when Laurelâs public shaming prompts her to leap off the redemption train and launch a crime spree with onetime cohort Shadow Thief (guest star Carmel Amit). âDinah, more than anybody, is not surprised to hear it,â Harkavy previews. âBecause as much faith as she has put in Laurel changing, and as much as she tries to forgive her, thereâs just nobody else she would expect this [reversal] to come from more.â
Although Harkavy affirms that Felicity (played by exiting Arrow vet Emily Bett Rickards) â who more than anyone has championed Laurelâs turnabout â âmight get one or two âtold you soâsâ from Dinah, EP Schwartz says that Felicity will remain âpretty strong in her conviction of trying to redeem her. As much as Laurel has been there for her, sheâs trying to be there for Laurel.â
Arrow Spoilers 7x18In a desperate bid to get through to her wayward friend, Felicity will recruit Sara Lance, who of course was sister to Earth-Oneâs Laurel and, in a small way, âsharesâ a dad with her doppelgĂ€nger.
âIt was so fun getting Caity back,â raves Schwartz. âI told her I could not imagine this episode without her.
âShe and Katie Cassidy are so good together,â the EP continues. âBecause Laurel looks just like her sister and she carries that name, there are definitely some nice emotional moments between them. Thereâs also Laurelâs love for Lance. Even though he wasnât her father, she had that great bond with him at the end of Season 6.â
Arrow Spoilers 7x18Dinah only briefly met Sara in last seasonâs finale, when Lance died. So when brought together in a big way by this cause, how do Canaries present and past get along? âThe dynamic on set â and how it reads on film â was very strong and very fun,â Harkavy reports. âThere was no sense of competition, it was all just a team. And I think we all work really well as a team. Our characters all have our individual strengths, and that was really highlighted.â
As one can glean, this Birds of Prey-inspired episode is a rarity in that the female cast is so heavily and near-exclusively played â even in the flash-forwards that include Dinah, Mia (Katherine McNamara) and Felicity. âWe were excited before we started filming, but once we started going, every day we were like, âWhy isnât this the show?'â shares Harkavy with a laugh. âI mean, I love the boys but it was so nice just being with the girls for a while.
âIt does change the energy on set on a really cool way which you donât get to do experience much,â she explains. âIt was a different dynamic, all-women. It was really awesome.â
Schwartz echoed that sentiment, saying that her âfavorite partâ of the episode âLost Canaryâ is âhaving all the women in the forefront, and they sort of have each otherâs backs. Instead of having them be against each other, they work together to try to help each other. You donât get to see that very often, and thatâs a very important message that I really wanted to have.â
Arrow Spoilers 7x18Looking to the future â literally, in teasing the 2040 storyline â Harkavy says that with five episodes left in Arrowâs penultimate season, âThere are definitely some big things coming up,â including a couple of bombshell reveals and âsome ideaâ of whether Future Dinah ever got her sonic scream back.
âI am digging it! I think itâs taught me to embrace myself againâ the actress declares. âItâs empowering to do all the fighting and stuff as a 50- or 60-year-old woman and still have that much strength. Usually superheroes are hot and young, so itâs cool to show an older version of Dinah still kicking ass!â

ClexaCon: Day 1
Okay, Let me attempt to do something like organize my thoughts here. Photos will come later, ones that come at all; mostly there are professional photos, videos, and gifs available of the noteworthy moments, and I intend to reblog a lot of those later. In the meantime, my photos are on my phone, and the Tumblr app is eating anything I attempt to post with photos.
So. Iâm going to try to do this chronologically because itâs how I tried to organize my brain, and I feel clearer than I have in a while. Panel titles or events in bold. Fandom and personal stuff is included, multishipping probably rampant because I just want my faves happy, alright???
Under the cut because long. Day 1 only because long, and because by time I got near the end of typing this, it was after midnight and I was getting less coherent.
Exploring Gender through Cosplay
As often as I cosplay, mine are fairly casual, and Iâd never actually gotten a good chance to attend a cosplay panel of any sort with a clear mind. This was pretty awesome, all the different things you can do to change not only the costume but also your appearance, really make the cosplay work. A lot of the sentiment/message besides the practical application stuff was just âhave fun, donât be an ass, think about the character.â All good advice.
One of the panelists was visibly uncomfortable with his cosplay during the panel. It was understandable, but he looked great anyway and still gave great information and asides and personal experiences, and Iâd love to see him do a panel where heâs more comfortable.
One Day at a Time
Okay, so one of the things I LOVE about this con and havenât seen at the couple others Iâve been to is the intro videos. For each of the big panels, theyâve played a video beforehand, about the pairing or the character. If youâre rusty on the details, itâs a great refresher, and if you love the character or pairing, itâs just fantastic to watch. I believe they included these and the actress reactions in the official videos theyâve been posting. Theyâre great, super shippy, and Iâve teared up or cried at more than one.
ODAAT is one of the ones that made me teary, because it touched on Elena and her Papi and then how happy she and Syd are and just...
Emotions, yâall. Iâve got them.
Anyway, it was great. Isabella seemed pretty comfortable speaking, very aware of her presence and her platform. Sheridan was a little more like Syd, a little awkward and a lot geeky (like most of my favorite people, letâs be real). My takeaways from this panel were basically just that they both love Schnider and working with his actor, and that I ship Syd and Elena even harder now.
An executive producer got a call during the panel, and Isabella thought maybe it was about being picked up by a different network, but it ended up being Rita Moreno calling in, which was fantastic except how disappointed Isabella was. Not that she was unprofessional or pouty or anything, just there were a few moments of almost being able to FEEL how much this cast wants the show to keep going, and how much they love each other.
Avalance
Omg. I mean, okay, if youâre following me, you should probably go watch both Avalance and Nyssara panel videos. Theyâll do a much better job of relaying anything factual than I will, so Iâm mostly focusing on my reactions.
My reactions started with that damned intro vid, because holy hell, Sara and Ava are hot, and have awesome chemistry, and theyâre both smart and strong and amazing and I am so, so, so not straight.
Uh. Where was I.
Highlights for me, in no particular order.
Okay, usually celebs look like people in real life, like real people or like their characters. Caity Lotz is MORE attractive in person than she is on tv. HOW THE FUCK IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE
Jes is kinda amazing as a person and actress and I intend to watch everything sheâs in after this weekend. She cares deeply, which I know she shares with Ava, but unlike Ava who hides behind the professional shield, Jes just seemed so warm and real and disbelieving of how much people like her. She was having a very emotional day because sheâd lost someone she cared about, and when she shared that, I doubt there was a dry eye in the room. The depth of her feeling was almost palpable.
Jes kept reaching out and touching Caity, who was much more physically reserved just in general. Caity is very obviously more familiar with the con circuit, which doesnât mean she doesnât care or anything! Just, how many of these could any living person do while still caring deeply and genuinely about every person they talk to? I suspect people have to distance themselves some eventually. Caity wasnât cold, just more reserved.
Katrina interrupting was the best thing ever. Itâs been giffed already. Go find it.
I loved hearing about the tango, about navigating a situation where there are two women who naturally want to take the lead. The lines blurred between where they were talking about themselves as actresses navigating a scene and their characters as people navigating a relationship, and it felt very real and lovely. Hilarious, too, because of course everyone in the Arrowverse (excuse me, Beeboverse) is gorgeous AND smart AND funny.
Iâm glad theyâre not really broken up I guess? The actresses seemed a little unsure because they filmed a lot of different takes with some differing implications, but theyâre not on board with the âon again, off againâ thing any more than I am, which is good. On is good.
End of the panel, people sitting behind us (oh! chronological order! I made a friend waiting in line for the ODAAT panel and weâve mostly stuck together this weekend. Sheâs not LGBT and hasnât watched any of the shows but she loves PEOPLE and is trying to learn and has had a lot of cool life experiences. Anyway. If I say âweâ or âusâ I probably mean me and friend, unless otherwise specified.)
Uh. Right. So. The people sitting behind us were like, âHey, do you two want tickets to Cocktails for Change?â At first I thought she was trying to sell them, and I already knew I couldnât afford that, just like I couldnât afford the Caity/Jes/Katrina photo op I wanted (not complaint, just statement of fact! I got to go and I got to buy the photo op with Caity and I got a hotel room for a couple nights). Then she clarifies that she and her person (Iâm gonna go with that when relationship isnât clear. But oh, the number of happy wlw couples there was just amazing, and at some point I defaulted to assuming anyone there together was together, which wasnât accurate, but itâs what I was seeing and delighting in and WE NEED MORE REPRESENTATION and omg keep a single train of thought, Kita). The two of them had bought two extra tickets they couldnât use, couldnât refund, and hadnât been able to sell, so they were offering them to us so that somebody would enjoy them.
OMG. Like, who does that? What level of awesomeness to gift two separate $250 tickets to complete strangers??
I helped friend navigate the transfer process and helped her create an eventbrite account, and then we had the tickets, at which point I actually believe it was happening. And then AND THEN
Because clearly that wasnât enough
they said âoh, we canât make the trio photo op today, do you want it?â
Do
Do I
DO I
I still canât believe they were for real, with that level of awesome. I checked like probably way too many times to make sure they were SURE because
yeah. Made my entire year, at minimum.Â
Photo Ops
Got the photo op with Caity first. Iâll do pics separately after I scan them; theyâre particularly glossy or something and my cell phone is doing a horrible job. So I go in dressed in my femme Snart cosplay, have enough presence of mind to ask (or point? I may have only managed pointing) to stand on her right side because I wanted to be able to hold the cold gun in my right hand.
âHey, Cold,â she said to me.
HEY COLD
SHE RECOGNIZED WHO I WAS DRESSED AS OMGGGGGG
and did I mention fucking gorgeous beyond belief and amazing to boot?Â
Anyway. Sheâs also smiling much bigger in my pic with just her than in the next one, when I didnât have my gun, and I like to think itâs because she still thinks fondly of snart. Captain canary 4eva. Another thing on Saturday Iâll get to in my next post, equally small but equally âomg yessss she still ships itâ to my mildly obsessed brain.
Obviously, after they took the pic, I walked blindly in the wrong direction and wouldâve walked smack into the makeshift wall if the volunteers hadnât steered me in the right direction. I donât usually get star struck, but if it was going to happen, it was going to be with Caity Lotz, so it wasnât actually a surprise.
Round two, trio photo, and I ended up between Caity and Katrina, who draped herself on my shoulder as she often does for pics. Iâll get to Katrina more for Day 2, but she just seemed very at ease, maybe the most comfortable person in any given room.
After photo ops I practically ran back to my car while still trying to recover, checked into and got settled into my hotel room, changed shoes (omg, as good as those boots are for a couple hours, after ten hours and two miles and lots of standing, my feet STILL hurt day+ later), and then headed back to the venue.
Cocktails for Change
So this was cool just to exist in a room with the celebrities (the theory behind the event and the price tag being you get to interact). We (friend and the people who gave us the tickets and a 5th potential friend we picked up while waiting in line) got to talk to an actress from Wynona (which I apparently badly need to watch. my to-watch list doubled this weekend), and then friend got Jes to agree to come over. That made me love Jes even more because her handlers kept trying to get her to go a different direction after she talked to one table for like half of the time, and Jes pointed at our table, strong and confident and I AM DOING THIS BECAUSE I SAID I WOULD.
I mean, idk what she actually said, but that was her not-subtle body language.
It had to be terribly frustrating for the handlers, who, even though they only got her to three tables total, did a better job with her than they did with most of the celebs. However, I wanted to applaud Jes.
Most of the celebs kept to themselves, or to their partners. Dot was like 5 feet from me for a good 20 minutes, and my inner gleek was ecstatic. Amber Benson was only a few feet farther for about the same amount of time. For her, I actually tried to go say hi, but she was absorbed in conversation with someone else and I didnât want to interrupt. We made eye contact, though, so that was cool. Katrina, meanwhile, kinda starting circling and then was just like âNah,â and she went and sprawled on a chair at the side of the room, again the most comfortable looking person there, and just let everyone come to her. Which, honestly, probably would be my recommendation if they change things for this event next year. Clearly, steering the talent to different tables isnât working, so maybe steer the attendees instead.
Still, it was awesome, and I went back to my room and freaked out about OMG HOW IS MY LIFE THIS AWESOME before crashing hard.
Which Iâm gonna do again now. Day 2 post tomorrowish.

For the ask meme, Sara Lance or Mick Rory. :)
With the caveat that Iâm like an entire full season behind ... letâs do Sara. :D
general opinion: fall in a hole and die | donât like them | eh | theyâre fine I guess | like them! | love them | actual love of my life
hotness level: get away from me | meh | neutral | theoretically hot but not my type | pretty hot | gorgeous! | 10/10 would bang
hogwarts house: gryffindor | slytherin | ravenclaw | hufflepuffOh man, Sara is THE HARDEST to sort into a house! I guess Iâm going with Gryffindor, but I think Slytherin is also completely plausible.
best quality: The way she steps up to do what needs doing, and keeps going no matter what. She didnât want to be in charge of this group of losers! Heck, she didnât even really want to be alive in the LoT era, period. I guess that what I love most about her is how she just keeps soldiering on and trying to be a better person no matter what.
worst quality: nnnnn ... you know, Iâm having trouble coming up with one for her. Itâs not that she doesnât have flaws, itâs just that Iâm having trouble thinking of one that she doesnât actively fight against and try to overcome. Like, sheâs fighty and abrasive and not especially good with people when she first comes onto the Waverider, but she grows into her leadership role once they start looking up to her. and that kind of thing.
ship them with: EVERYONE. My Sara OTP is pretty much Sara/anybody on the Waverider.
brotp them with: As above, pretty much everyone. Early on, I had a particular fondness for Sara + Rip - they have a really neat dynamic - but that kinda didnât end so great at the end of season 2, or at least it didnât leave me with particularly warm-fuzzy feelings about it, so idk.
needs to stay away from: the League of Assassins
misc. thoughts: I absolutely love how physically powerful she is. Caity Lotz is also a stuntwoman and martial artist, and does a bunch of her own stunts on the show, which means that with Sara, you can see how muscular and powerful she is when she has her shirt off - she looks like a character who can do all the physical stuff she does, and I love that about her.

I don't understand Grant's behavior. One day he's posting that old SB photoshoot and the next he's liking Danielle's SB bait posts. Now he's telling Candice she looks hot and was living her life to the fullest. Mf can't make up his mind. Biggest flake out there. You, all the WAs, and the Grand*ce fans need to quit coddling him. He hops from Danielle to Candice like it's no big deal. His support his conditional for when it's convenient to him.
Wow, itâs almost as if Grant Gustin is an adult whoâs mature enough to maintain friendships with two different people he works with. How wild!
Nobody is âcoddlingâ Grant. But, youâre bullying Grant. I see entitled assholes like you bitching at him everyday for not living up to your standard of how you think he should be friends with Candice. Itâs not only disrespectful to him, but to Candice as well. Sheâs an adult too and sheâs not stupid. If she says Grant supports her and is her friend, there is no reason not to believe her. Candice is the one who actually knows him, youâre basing your hatred off a few Instagram posts and likes.Â
So what if Grant occasionally posts something of him and Danielle or of Barry and Caitlin? It doesnât mean he hates Candice or Iris, youâre just jumping to conclusions and getting angry over nothing. Grant also posts stuff with Tom Cavanagh and other cast members, do you consider those to be slights against Candice too? I bet you donât.Â
Candice isnât a 1st grader whoâs going to throw a tantrum just because Grant has other friends he gives attention to. Grant and Danielle have also been friends since season 1 and Candice has never expressed a problem with that. She has never expressed a problem with any of her friends also being friends with Danielle. Even her best friend and former roommate, Caity Lotz, is friends with Danielle. Candice isnât insecure, so sheâs fine with her friends having friends she isnât personally close with. Itâs really not a big deal.
It comes down to this: you either trust Candice or you donât. I trust her. She has always loved Grant and spoken highly of him. His other friendships have nothing to do with his support of Candice. Leave him alone. Youâre not doing anything to support Candice by spreading drama and lies about one of her good friends. Stop getting offended on her behalf.

as a bi person the idea that caity lotz would even imagine that itâs her place as a straight woman to talk about âgaywashingâ being an actual thing with regards to the bi character that she plays being written as in a relationship with another woman only, what, a month or so after using the d slur like it was nothing? is fucking awful. i have no problem with straight actors playing queer characters, i really donât, but they have to stay in their lane and not try to speak up on intracommunity discussions. and this isnât even getting into all her other stuff which makes me equally uncomfortable to be honest.
and caity? if you can talk about âgaywashingâ, maybe you could google âwhitewashingâ too. and then âwhite canaryâ. just a thought.

alliâs Arrow 1x01 rewatch thoughts
Opening sequence: I always think about my first viewing of this show. The pilot starts out with a bang, and itâs just intriguing and action-packed and mysterious and interesting. At the time I first started watching Arrow, thatâs exactly what I was looking for: something interesting and attention-grabbing, but not necessarily good quality. I wasnât expecting excellent character development, fantastic acting, or even particularly well-plotted story. I most definitely wasnât expecting one of the greatest ships of all time. But as I started to watch this first episode for the first time, my initial expectations changed dramatically. I realized I was going to be pleasantly surprised.
On voiceovers and context-setting: yeah, I understand why voiceovers were necessary the first few episodes, but Iâm glad that they got phased out so quickly. Also, heâs totally lying in his first voiceover. Voiceovers are always strange in non-confessional shows because you always wonder: whoâs he talking to? I mean I get that theyâre setting up the story with the voiceovers, and itâs a solid choice, but itâs still just an awkward storytelling kinda thing. I love the ânews clipâ storytelling method much better. It works particularly well for this character (because heâs already a tabloid-famous billionaire who disappeared/died), and I love how, throughout the whole series, the news stories give a unique depth to the characters. Not only do we get to see them through each otherâs eyes, and our own eyes, but, because theyâre famous, we get to see them through the eyes of fame and infamy, which is just interesting as a fan.
Random: young Moira! She looks so great. Lost! doctor! Thereâs an Oliver Queen character study fanvid that is basically my favorite thing ever and I recommend you ALL WATCH IT IF YOU HAVENâT: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5YMTJZFslsU&t=0s&list=PLho1lhjzsqc78WersS7U49_QI92xL1yVi&index=2
mooooore below the cut!
Moira and Oliver: first hint that (as I always tell people) ARROW IS A SHOW ABOUT FAMILY!
Thea: Having watched all of Theaâs growth, and the fact that sheâs gone now, this scene just...wahh. Kinda want to cry a little.
Laurel: there was so much Laurel in season 1. I miss her old chin. Is that rude? Lol
Sara: aww the old Sara. I wonder what made them decide to replace her with Caity Lotz.
Tommy: note to self: check later flashback episodes to see if Tommy actually did say âYachts suckâ before Oliver went on the boat. Also, the Lost reference was a very good initial indication that this show was very self aware and thoughtful. (Also, later: Lanceâs âIâll put out an APB on...Robin Hood.â) Related: this show does a great job using cultural references as a way to connect to the audience. (And of course The Flash and the other Arrowverse shows do that so well, tooâŠ.)
Season 1 Oliver in a well-fitting (grey) t-shirt. Yes pls. And pullover. Mm.
Flashbacks, kidnapping scene, Laurel scene: damn, this pilot is so good. It does an excellent job setting the aesthetic, the characters, the plot, and the storytelling techniques of the whole show. (Which yeah, in many ways they kind of get away from in later seasons, but mostly it all stays consistent.)
Lance! (side note: isnât it convenient how Lance is basically The Policeman in basically every situation? lol). I loooove this Lance scene. God Paul Blackthorne. What did we ever do to deserve you?
Raisa: now Iâm wondering, at what point during the 6 years of the show did Raisa figure out that Oliver was the Arrow? Iâm thinking it was well before season 6 - maybe even as early as season 1. (I mean I know we donât see her in most of the seasons, but sheâs obviously âout thereâ and still somewhat in touch with Oliver.)
DIGGLE!!!!!! And the first DiggleDitch!
Oliver-setting-up-the-ArrowCave montage: Somehow I always forget about this, but Iâm glad it exists. It actually does a good job setting an expectation for a certain level of realism. And honestly Arrowâs ârealismâ (for a comic, letâs be honest) has always been majorly appealing to me. I mean I love The Flash and even LoT and stuff, but just not in the same way. Never in the same way.
Iâve always been impressed at the way Arrow can make all the characters relevant both to each other (relationships and shared history) and as individually relevant to the plot. Honestly, making that seem so effortless is one of the keys to why this show (and especially seasons 1 and 2) are sooo good.
Dialog: So snappy! Seriously this pilot is so good, and Iâm so glad because every line of dialog sets a precedent for each character that honestly remains so true for each character.
Tommyâs estimate on how long itâs been since Oliver had sex: SO WRONG LOL
Oliver and Laurel: yep, no chemistry. xD The way she walks up to him real close (âYou know what, OliverâŠ?â), clearly they were trying to show some angsty ust, but it totally falls flat.
The Vigilanteâs first heist: but how DID he do that tech thing? Where did he learn THOSE skills? A.R.G.U.S.? Honestly Iâm at a loss.
Oliverâs dad shooting himself in the head: but whyyy didnât he just fill Oliver in on more before killing himself?
