I’m gonna speak over anon because I’m literally terrified of phannies coming after me even though I’ve rebranded, I still get hate anons from them even now which is crazy. Anyway. It’s honestly a relief to read a respectful take on why someone’s left the phandom. Your words put my exact feelings into articulation and I think my main emotion is just... disappointment? I feel like dnp hold their audience at an arm’s length now and for good reason. It’s impersonal, and after what we put them through I think they deserve that. The fact that people are still trying to keep some kind of momentum going, hyping up cookie-cutter content or you know, making aus about a literal REAL BABY just doesn’t sit right with me. It feels good and healthy to move on. They aren’t interesting now. Seeing people running full time phan blogs makes me actually uncomfortable. Because I don’t feel like it’s really about dnp so much as clout seeking half the time these days.

and you’re totally right. one of the weirdest shifts for me that kinda gave me the final push to leave was the fact that dnp stopped caring about their audience. and the thing is, dnp always seemed different to other youtubers because they had this connection with us. twice daily livestreams, one a week upload from the gaming channel, twice monthly updates between them… take 2018 for example, if you asked any phannie they’d probably agree that it was the best year for us all because it felt like dnp were on this emotional wavelength with us where it was like: ‘okay this is the content we like and this is the content we’re getting’ and it was so perfectly balanced. it never felt like they were just pumping out content for the sake of it. they could take a boring ass game like ‘google autocomplete’ and make a real good video out of it. that was the content and the dan and phil i enjoyed.

and now??? dude. the mere idea that phil went ahead and deleted all his lessamazingphil videos to reach a larger audience is just…….. if i cared more i’d be mad. they so clearly want a different audience now. im sorry to the phannie moots that follow me still but that’s just what i see. phil’s content went from lighthearted jokey funtimes to ‘oh my god you’re a 30 something year old man making content on the same level as fuckin troomtroom and you’re still making butthole face thumbnails to appease the algorithm.’ and that’s just heartbreaking bro. what the fuck happened. i was around for the cereal tasting video (i never watched it i don’t think i’ve watched a single video since last year) and like………… the hype it got? for a low quality looking buzzfeed quiz type video is just… yeah. dude, this goes beyond the argument of ‘BUT JENNA MARBLES MADE THESE VIDEOS!!!! SHE DID IT AND EVERYONE LOVED IT!!!’ and the difference between phil and jenna was: jenna put a whole lot of fuckin effort into those videos to make them unique. not just: trying on makeup! but instead: ‘trying on makeup and then squirting eye drops into my eyeballs to make myself cry to then see which one is best for dramatic crying purposes!!’ there was a whole spin on the take that i’ve never seen phil EVER do. sorry to this man but he really…… isn’t as creative as he used to be. he falls flat every time in his videos and it makes me laugh when i see the same 😯 face in his thunmbnails with the most boring looking video idea painted in bright colours. this is the same man that was making those wacky ass videos in 2009? could have fooled me. are we sure he isn’t working for buzzfeed or something because that’s the vibe i get from him lmao.

and dan. ohhhh dan. OH DAN! he’s fed up of his audience too. at least he’s got the balls to at least half admit it (or maybe he’s just stupid idk lol) but yeah. he’s not coming back to youtube, or at least, in a way that’ll bring him back the views. he doesn’t care, and he hasn’t cared for a long time. i’m not sure what the hell he’s doing and like i said: to those running phandom blogs, you’re tough dude. you’re tough as hell because how anyone can scrape together content for this man is beyond me lmfao. he either wants: real intelligent smart people audience from his book (i have so much to say about that i could write a fuckin book) OR he wants: gay 30 year old men audience from his…. *sigh* his weird horny tweets he makes once a month. im sorry but WHAT?! [Sorry idk if it’s just me but this got kinda rough to read so I bolded kEy pHraSes but now it looks like a divorce letter or an office memo, or like I’m trying to explain wave/particle duality to a five year old lol.]

okay gamers, nerds, and clowns, you’ve probably noticed that my blog is being taken over by Ghostbur and Friend. I think this is a temporary infatuation, but the dream smp as a whole is probably going to be an interest for a while. I’m still a clown phannie, but the balance of content in that direction is going to be diminished for a while.

I do plan on staying a clown phannie for a long time, because I love all of you and I don’t want to stop interacting with my mutrals because of diverging interests but [insert “I DO NOT CONTROL THE HYPERFIXATION” meme here]. The following idea on maybe switching up my blog system partly serves to retain my mutrals by focusing content on the blog they (and my current followers) follow to be what we have in common.

Logistically I’m not quite sure what to do, should I attempt to change things. I chose ‘chemicalaropsec’ specifically to have a blog that could be my main for as long as possible, so I do want to keep that my primary. However, if I were to start up a side blog, I would want it to be DnP/general middle school “emo” (MCR, IDKHow) based (and not the other way around with the SMP and my other interests). But it would be easiest for my followers if I moved my primary blog (this one) to a new url and quickly took back ‘chemicalarospec’ to be a side blog.

Anyways that’s all just an idea at this point. Let me know if you do want a change -- I won’t mind! I like setting things up. (That sounded really weird. I mean that I’d love to design a new sideblog with a title and an url and theme and all.) Otherwise, and what’s currently the most likely course of action moving forward, I’ll just continue to show all my rubbish together into one blog.

PS: For the time being, if you want to try blocking the content (ngl I would -- and have -- simply unfollowed) I use “mcyt new gen” for 97% of posts of interest and “ghostbur” should cover anything that slips through the cracks. Alternately, you could join me.

03.01.18.: Hi, healthcare side of Tumblr! In honor of starting my nursing prerequisites this semester, I thought I’d make a new studyblr to follow my school journey (this is my third studyblr, sorry not sorry). I also wanted to introduce myself! A few facts about me:

- I’m 18

- I’m a dancer and an artist of many other forms

- I’m a barista at Starbucks (2 year anniversary is in April) and a new independent distributor for It Works! (business instagram is @ambrbllnstn)

- I graduated high school in 2017

- I’m dating an up-and-coming rapper

- I’m hoping to start a vlog within the next 2 months

- I’m a Tri Delta, which I joined through the university I attended my first semester freshman year

- My first semester of college (Fall 2017) I attended the University of Arizona but I hated it there so much and it screwed with my mental health drastically I had to get a medical withdrawal, all my credits became W’s so I have none, and now I attended a local community college, but I feel no shame in that. Although I had some great experiences at UA, I really regret wasting my time and most of my money going there. If you're spending the better part of your young adult life in school and paying for it out of your pocket, you need to go to the place that is best for you. I have a lot of regrets for a lot of reasons, but that’s for another post. Because of what happened last semester and how things have been playing out for this semester, after Spring 2018 I'm going to be about 21 credits behind.

- I’m not actually in the nursing program at my school yet; I’m about to start my prerequisites to get admitted into the program, but I thought it would still be fun to start this blog. I don't think there are many blogs with future nursing students still working on prerequs so I'm glad to be one of those. My first and only class this semester is an online intro to psych class that starts in April.

- As I said before, this is my third studyblr. I made one in high school when I was trying to get into ivy leagues and other prestigious schools; I made another in my senior year for my approaching college life; and now I have this one since a lot of changes have happened to me. I’m crap at keeping up with blogs, so hopefully this one works!

Now that you have some facts about me, here are some of my goals (some short term, others long term):

- Apply to my school’s nursing program with at least a 3.75 GPA and get into the program

- Get into my school’s honors program and their Phi Theta Kappa chapter

- Graduate by Spring 2020 with an AAS in Nursing and a 3.75 GPA and pass my NCLEX-RN

- Get into an RN to BSN program at a university and later get into their Sigma Theta Tau chapter (the schools I have my eye on right now are Purdue and GCU)

- Graduate by Spring 2022 with a BSN and a 3.75 GPA

- After working for a few years and gaining experience, I want to get into either an MSN or DNP program with neonates being the specialty so I can become a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner

I do believe I run a good blog with good reblogs and originals, but you decide if you want to stick around haha. 

Depending on how many people you follow, you might not know my general post type or recognize me on your dash, so here’s a quick runthrough of what to expect: activism posts, specifically the usual tumblr gay stuff and things hot on my dash, but emphasis on Asian activism; posts about cultural topics (including analysis of internet culture); and memes, duh. 

I follow a few people who put aesthetic blog-type things on their main, and I’ve thinking about starting to reblog that too. (I was kinda holding out to make a side, but idk. it’s in flux rn)

I’m really enjoying hanging out in the mcyt/dsmp fandom right now ^_^ When I leave, I don’t know what I’ll do with the side, but I do love the URL. My next fandom will probably be on main, but idk. It won’t be for a while though -- I’m not gaining interest in ANYTHING rn lol, and I also don’t feel myself phasing out of the new mcyters. :D

anyways, yeah. The long and short of it is I’m outta my phannie phase (I’m sorry but I love y’all), this blog will be a generic tumblr blog for the foreseeable future, and @yourfavouritetragedy is my mcyt/dsmp side blog where I will be spending most my time these days. I will still make stupid jokes no one likes, and I’m still as active as ever!

yo, Jillian, my dude, i need your help. so for the past few months i kept drifting away from the phandom and dnp in general (not because i wanted to, but to keep it short, some friends kept making fun off me and who i like blah blah I'll be free of them in like half a year tho so that's good). so question: how do i get back into it? i really wanna since i made some of my best memories here. thanks.

i think the most important thing is WANTING to get back into it!! i say just sit down when you have free time and start binging the gaming channel, maybe make yourself some snacks and make an occasion out of it. make sure you’re still following active blogs on tumblr and i think it’ll all start coming back to you, dude. i’m sorry your friends are shitty, no one should ever be made fun of for the things they enjoy :(
