Have you ever been so into a ship, you slid down the trash chute? Do you love Star Wars nods even if they're confusing? Me too! I'm here to celebrate LOVE and my most favorite ships! You will see an indiscriminate amount of SamCait, with a sprinkling of other fave cuties. Also, probably a few smatterings of other things. Enjoy!

Caitriona:
“Your confidence and your self-esteem is in the toilet after you’ve been in that [modeling] business for so long. Most models I know have terrible self-esteem, which is the most crazy thing.

“i’ve been able to play this incredibly strong woman when i could have very easily never thought of the places i’ve had to go to with her, the strength i had to find to play her, and then seeing that i had that strength in myself. and that’s a really big deal!”

“Historically, whenever young women are interested in a form of media, we like to tell them it is bad for them and that they are bad for liking it — unless the media goes mainstream, in which case it becomes no longer feminine and hence okay. Novels are dangerous and cause insanity, until they become classics worthy of being studied in college. Beatlemania is the province of ‘the dull, the idle, the failures,’ until the Beatles become a band that everyone loves. Young women are so attacked for loving the media they love that it is a radical act for a young woman to love something unashamedly. And transformative fandom is the most radical act of all, because it reverses that ‘lady thing to respectable thing’ process. It takes a piece of media that may not have been designed for young women and makes it for young women.”

Quick Thoughts
Fun, upbeat, positive about Season 5
Caitriona celebrated her birthday by flying to New York and enjoying dinner with (at least) Sam, Duncan, David, and Maria. (We know via photos posted on Tumblr she enjoyed drinks with (at least) friends Domenica and Jenny, too.)
Maria calls herself Mrs. Blooper, afraid to involuntarily reveal spoilers.
These five castmates appear to enjoy each other’s company very much.
Sophie “submitted” a question, asking the group to list the ingredients for making a drink called “The Felicia.” Would love to be in on this joke.
Anyone’s waiting with baited breath to hear about August’s Weekend in the English Countryside might be disappointed to hear Leanne offered congratulations on Caitriona’s 40th Happy Birthday and on Cait’s and Sam’s promotions to producers…
I saw nothing awkward. And things are pretty good.

As Sam and Caitriona, have you found that you’ve learned something, even though you know each other so well?
I have learned that he’s a ridiculous human being!
