We all know how uncanny Sephiroth is at times. But has anyone ever thought that the entire party (Cloud, Tifa, Aerith, etc.) are as uncanny as well? They all came from a planet that’s sentient and possibly sapient. They all came from a reincarnation cycle that gives its beings abilities out of the norm (human or otherwise). Hell, they have chickens the size of a horse that attacks people for monsters. And don’t get me started on humans, especially the party members.

Tifa, Yuffie, Cid, and Barret are all party members who are supposed to be the unenhanced part of the group—those who don’t come from an extinct race that grants you special abilities and those who weren’t experimented on. And yet, in battle, they possess this inhumane strength and endurance on par with a SOLDIER’s. It’s more apparent with Tifa who can smash concrete with her fists and send people flying away. On that note, even the Turks can go toe-to-toe with Cloud at times. Materia may be a factor in aiding them to do such a feat. But the fact that they can even use Materia in the first place—you’d need to come from the life blood of the Planet to use these—is uncanny in itself.

Furthermore, their appearance looks vaguely off. They look LIKE humans. But they don’t look human if you get what I mean (The enlarged eyes, weird hair & eye colors, etc). Reno, in particular, has red hair and skin markings (or are those scars?); and it seems that he was born with these features. Characters like Cloud Strife who do have normal hair and eye colors still look vaguely off because they have features that should be genetically impossible. So yes, I’m saying they’re all aliens.

But then again this IS a video game running on video game logic. It’s just fun to think about if we compare them to real life humans.

Not an analysis

I'm done with about half of the Olivier Awards post. It'll include both David and Michael as well as Georgia and Anna.

There's many links and images so I have to sort and edit them, that's why it's taken me longer than expected. I'm also looking into the body language of GT and AL during the event. I don't know exactly when the post will be up, but it should be ready sometime this week!

This is the big post. The Post.

What is the Classpect Quiz?

To break it down, this classpect quiz is a 200 question, very thorough classpect quiz that while it can't be guaranteed to be 100% accurate, I want to get as damn accurate as you can.

And for this, I'm going to need your help. Mostly with questions, but any sort of help is appreciated since this is a big project and I am a busy person.

I want to know what you think about this. I will give more context or provide answers to this if you ask, but I'm just reaching out to see if anyone's interested in this sort of thing. If so, maybe I can open a Discord server for it, and anyone who wants to contribute can.

If you're someone who is at least a little enthusiastic about classpecting as I am, or even just someone who enjoys reading my classpects, I encourage you to help out. You don't have to, but it would be nice.

The more I watch Emotion the more I dislike the way writers approached Felix's and Kagami's personas.

This is not an analysis, it's just how I feel about things, basically, I'm venting.

For certain villains/anti heros the "sacrifice-the-world-to-save-you" mentality usually fits these characters, and by this I mean, it adds a very interesting layer to their personalities and motivations when revealed.

But in Félix's case, it didn't fit him at all. Neither his alter ego nor objectives lived up to my expectations. I just have too much of a hard time comparing the "old" Felix to the current one. I can't assimilate this is the same character from the beginning. The only thing I feel about him is that I was robbed of a truly developed villain/anti hero arc and now I have a child stalking another child just because they're both sentis and "are connected".

I could say the same about Kagami, her character development was ruined. Totally. How the f*ck is she falling in love/sympathizing so easily with him given that it took so much time for her to deepen her relationship with "perfect" Adrien (no Adrien salt) in the first place? Félix did NOTHING to deserve her attention.

And no, I don't buy the "it's because they're sentis" or the "we needed to see Felix's sensitive side" or even "Felix is what Adrien is not".

At this point, they're pretty much just stating that she needs another boy ASAP to get over Adrien. And that Felix needs her/a girl for him to start growing a more anti hero like attitude instead of doing whatever he wants. It feels like nobody knew what do to with the two sentis and forced a ship... for nothing.

Y'all doing Kagami and Felix dirty.

This archive IS run by Mod Dirk of Sburbanalysis; I own the original blog and decided I wanted to distance myself from Homestuck as a media as my likes are shifting. The only reason I am creating an archive is because 'sburbanalysis' is my main.

Will you ever finish classpect analysis?

Probably not. The entire aspect of 'analysis' of classpect on the blog was originally made with the intent to help with the classpecting of characters, but as I've gotten older and this blog has aged I've seen that categorizing traits into a category with hard lines is simply not how I roll, and it's pretty restrictive.

What I'm saying is do whatever you want forever, and I encourage the usage of my analyses if you're planning on classpecting an OC, I believe it's better guidelines for that (considering OCs are not entirely 3 dimensional like people are.)

Hey can you clarify what exactly the whole negative positive charge thing means?

"In the ask, I’d like you to put ( + ) or ( - ) next to the classpect name to denote... the tone of it, I suppose. If + has been submitted with your classpect, you’re still open to do - and vice-versa. A positively-charged Knight is very different to one with darker morals, for example, and can change the course of the analysis. It’ll help me make things more accurate for you."

An update on this blog

Hey all, sorry I haven't been around in a bit. Real life has caught up with me in some ways and I needed to take care of my mother who was indisposed for a while, so I haven't had time to get to the requests in my inbox, for which I am sorry.

In the time I've been away, I've thought long and hard about my own classpect, about classpecting in general and what of the popular canon I do and don't believe, and have come to the realisation that what work I've put into this blog no longer matches my views on what I think classpecting is and should be about. If you want concrete examples of theory I've been inspired by, check out @classpect-navelgazing and 0pacifica's essays on class and aspect.

In short, I no longer consider my previous posts valid to my views on classpecting. I will take some time to figure out how to move forward with this blog, so that I am certain that what I post is true to my views and as accurate as I can get it. I will not be deleting any of the old analysis, but it should be known they will be considered defunct and kept around purely for archival purposes.

You are free to comment on this post to suggest a path froward, though I can't guarantee I'll take it. I wish you all a splendid day.
