Between the politics, the bad supervisors, team leaders, the gossip, the backstabbing, the unnecessary small talk, and people you’d dearly love to defenestrate inviting you to go with them for after work drinks at one of the different circles of hell like Applebee’s, TGI Fridays, or some other nightmare realm, I’d just as soon leap into a burning wood chipper.

I’ll take a tool belt, minimal chatter except for whatever communication is necessary to successfully complete the job, maybe a stop at some grubby local bar full of people who don’t routinely make me contemplate outright murder, home for the shower, dinner, sleep, and then go build something even cooler than the last thing.
