Number 201, the Norwegian Buhund.
It is a very old breed. Excavations of Viking settlements and graves have found remains from as early as the 870s. The Buhuns also accompanied them on trips to settlements both in Iceland and in Great Britain. -Norska Buhund Ringen

"Hey Usagi why don't you draw yourself as a Bluey-character?" said no one but I did it anyway. It made the most sense to make it a Norwegian breed so I picked this one: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norwegia… Because I like how it looks and that's the only reason.

The Best Medieval Buhurt Online Store
Set Out on an Adventure with Medieval Extreme
You've come to the right place if you enjoy Buhurt, LARPing, or medieval fantasy. Your one-stop online shop for everything medieval, including genuine armour, weapons, shields, and comfortable shoes, is Medieval Extreme. Let's explore Medieval Extreme's amazing gear, delve into the world of Buhurt, and discover its history.
The History of Buhurt
Buhurt is a sport that transports players back in time to medieval combat. It began as a means of simulating martial arts and historical combat. These days, armoured warriors compete in exciting full-contact matches as teams or individuals. Mykola Avenirov, the creator of Medieval Extreme, is passionate about offering top-notch equipment for Buhurt and other medieval activities. He has over ten years of experience in these battles.
During the Middle Ages, Buhurt emerged as a means for European feudal knights to practise fighting while putting on a show for the public. The sport saw a renaissance in the 1990s, having been preserved in Russia and Ukraine. 2010 saw the first "Battle of the Nations" take place in Ukraine, igniting interest around the world. The fighters are subject to regulations set by governing organisations like the International Medieval Combat Federation. No beatings, stabbings, chopping off necks, striking feet, striking behind the knees, or groyne shots—all of which are reminiscent of the 13th century but with modern safety precautions like helmet padding to reduce the risk of concussions and medical care that is primarily provided by doctors rather than barbers.

idk its just we've done a pretty good job maintaining a rustic, rugged little farm spitz. and i understand why dogs like that win - they're flashy, they're elegant, they're fancy - but they're also exactly what i do not want to see.

to be frank, laios gives me big "this man is scandinavian" energy. [i headcanon laios is finnish/sami in the same way eastern tall-men are pretty much just japanese people] so I'd personally say he'd be one of those Scandinavian hunting dogs like a Finnish Spitz, a Swedish Jämnthund, or a Norwegian Buhund! All are hunting or working dogs, which makes sense given laios' dad being really really into hunting iirc. not to say i dont adore your dogboy/kobold laios
YOU HAVE A GOOD POINT!
Honestly, when I made him a Kishu Ken I was mostly looking at their fur color, size and shape. They're so shaped (much like Laios)
Made a doodle with him as a Norwegian Buhund! I think it suits him very nicely as well!
