Number 201, the Norwegian Buhund.
It is a very old breed. Excavations of Viking settlements and graves have found remains from as early as the 870s. The Buhuns also accompanied them on trips to settlements both in Iceland and in Great Britain. -Norska Buhund Ringen

"Hey Usagi why don't you draw yourself as a Bluey-character?" said no one but I did it anyway. It made the most sense to make it a Norwegian breed so I picked this one: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norwegia… Because I like how it looks and that's the only reason.

In other news...
AKC Meet The Breeds also has taken a couple breeds of my long list of possibilities. The Finnish Spitz, Norwegian Buhund, and Swedish Vallhund are definitely higher energy than I would really like. The Basenji and Shiba Inu are a little less people oriented than I would prefer. This is a little bit petty, but the Icelandic Sheepdog can have double dewclaws and I have personal hatred toward double dewclaws lol.
Meeting these breeds and taking them off of my list also helped me narrow down a few other breeds. The Harrier and the Drever are probably a bit bigger than I would prefer, so if I get a scenthound it will be another beagle.
Unfortunately, I was not able to meet the Cirneco dell'Etna or Italian Greyhound since they were not yet at the event by the time I left. I did meet them both last year, but last years goal was "meet all the breeds" rather than "talk to 10 of the breeds to learn more about them". If anyone owns either of those breeds, or better yet breeds them, I'd love to have a quick conversation with you about them!
Similarly, the Japanese Spitz was not at the event at all. This is unsurprising considering their rarity, so if you own one or breed them, pretty please reach out to me!

Our Spoiled Little "Princess Angel" was The Best Part,...The Highlight of the whole trip! She was begging for Cake and Ice cream from Me and Auntie all day long,So much so that she fully expected to get some chocolate flavored off one guy In a store! I wish we had a picture,She was really putting on the whole Buhund hive~mind control thing,Don't Worry,It didn't work! At least partially,She didn't get the ice cream but everybody was laughing at and adoring her! The Captain on the Sunset Cruise was clearly a dog person! Angel gave him her signature nose kiss and she got a special gold coin that gets us I think 15% off to either the haunted house or pirate museum that was supposed to be given out to kids 12 and under! ((She is 11 so to the Captain she qualifies! Lol )) ! I absolutely can't stand haunted houses and the only one I have been to so far is enough,So We'll probably go to the pirate museum,It's more up her alley anyway! Anyways,After this little "fiasco" pictures of your Dogs or other furbabies begging at the Thanksgiving table would be very much appreciated! I really wish we could've gotten her face her little paws spread out and that tail wagging! Lol Either way No matter where we go seems our Little Darling attracts ALL The Attention! Very spoiled and she is perfectly aware of it no matter how much My Mom or anyone else tries to deny it! I'm very Happy to be spreading Buhund awareness,If you can't tell,I Love My Little Girl! #MyAngelForever !

The Best Medieval Buhurt Online Store
Set Out on an Adventure with Medieval Extreme
You've come to the right place if you enjoy Buhurt, LARPing, or medieval fantasy. Your one-stop online shop for everything medieval, including genuine armour, weapons, shields, and comfortable shoes, is Medieval Extreme. Let's explore Medieval Extreme's amazing gear, delve into the world of Buhurt, and discover its history.
The History of Buhurt
Buhurt is a sport that transports players back in time to medieval combat. It began as a means of simulating martial arts and historical combat. These days, armoured warriors compete in exciting full-contact matches as teams or individuals. Mykola Avenirov, the creator of Medieval Extreme, is passionate about offering top-notch equipment for Buhurt and other medieval activities. He has over ten years of experience in these battles.
During the Middle Ages, Buhurt emerged as a means for European feudal knights to practise fighting while putting on a show for the public. The sport saw a renaissance in the 1990s, having been preserved in Russia and Ukraine. 2010 saw the first "Battle of the Nations" take place in Ukraine, igniting interest around the world. The fighters are subject to regulations set by governing organisations like the International Medieval Combat Federation. No beatings, stabbings, chopping off necks, striking feet, striking behind the knees, or groyne shots—all of which are reminiscent of the 13th century but with modern safety precautions like helmet padding to reduce the risk of concussions and medical care that is primarily provided by doctors rather than barbers.

idk its just we've done a pretty good job maintaining a rustic, rugged little farm spitz. and i understand why dogs like that win - they're flashy, they're elegant, they're fancy - but they're also exactly what i do not want to see.

to be frank, laios gives me big "this man is scandinavian" energy. [i headcanon laios is finnish/sami in the same way eastern tall-men are pretty much just japanese people] so I'd personally say he'd be one of those Scandinavian hunting dogs like a Finnish Spitz, a Swedish Jämnthund, or a Norwegian Buhund! All are hunting or working dogs, which makes sense given laios' dad being really really into hunting iirc. not to say i dont adore your dogboy/kobold laios
YOU HAVE A GOOD POINT!
Honestly, when I made him a Kishu Ken I was mostly looking at their fur color, size and shape. They're so shaped (much like Laios)
Made a doodle with him as a Norwegian Buhund! I think it suits him very nicely as well!
