Excerpt from this story from the Associated Press (AP):
The Navajo Nation has approved emergency legislation meant to strengthen a tribal law that regulates the transportation of radioactive material across the largest Native American reservation in the U.S.
The move is in response to the revival of a uranium mining operation just south of the Grand Canyon that has drawn much criticism from environmentalists and Native American tribes in the region.
Navajo President Buu Nygren signed the legislation Thursday as talks continue among tribal officials and Energy Fuels Inc. to craft an agreement that would address concerns about any potential risks to the public or the environment.
The updated law calls for more advance notification of plans to ship uranium ore from the Pinyon Plain Mine in northern Arizona to a mill in Utah. The payment of transport fees and the filing of emergency preparedness plans also are among the mandates.
The tribe in 2005 banned uranium mining across the sprawling reservation, pointing to the painful legacy of contamination, illness and death that was left behind by the extraction of nearly 30 millions tons of the ore during World War II and the Cold War.
Despite that ban, tribal lawmakers in 2012 stopped short of prohibiting the transportation of uranium across Navajo lands. Instead, they declared the tribe’s general opposition to moving ore across tribal lands and adopted regulations to protect human health and the environment by requiring notification and financial assurance, among other things.
Navajo leaders said it was time to strengthen that law and require earlier notification of shipments by Energy Fuels as the company ramps up operations.
Nygren said notification under the existing law didn’t happen when Energy Fuels shipped its first two loads of ore in July and his efforts to have tribal police intercept the semi-trucks were too late.
“The purpose of this legislation is to provide for the protection, health and safety of the Navajo Nation and its people and our precious resources such as our water,” he said in a letter thanking lawmakers for prioritizing the issue.

The California Effect and the opportunities it provides
This has been a phenomenon for some time that a lot of real estate agents are jumping on, especially in Arizona and Nevada. So basically the California effect is a migrational pattern of Californians who leave the state for financial and personal reasons and settle into states like Nevada, Arizona and Texas.
The fear of a lot of these residents stems from the fact that there are now so many Californians that the rents and prices are going up. I’ve read comments by a lot of different people who talk about how rents in Northern Arizona have went up by 300% because of the influx of Californians.
It is kind of a very interesting pattern of people and has shown that where Californians settle they usually turn the area similar into California subconsciously and without even thinking.
Take the phenomenon in Austin, Texas for example, many many Californians went to that one specific area and a lot of large California companies followed suit and eventually turned that area into the next Los Angeles and San Francisco.
It’s interesting because there is a phenomenon about California where it is so big to the point that it has influence throughout the rest of the country. And it shows that it has more influence in neighboring states than Texas does in neighboring states there.
Although Idaho was hit much more by this phenomenon, Utah remains relatively untouched. Probably due to Utah having a very strong Mormon Identity and culture.
So who’s moving into California? Mostly the very wealthy and the very poor. California has a huge homeless problem where a lot of homeless from all over the country tend to migrate to California for safe havens but also very wealthy people migrate as well.
Which is why an apartment in the worst part of town is now costing 2000$ a month. Where does this come into effect and to understand this phenomenon? This is actually not a planned phenomena, this is more of a cause and effect for the difficulties of not being able to live in California.
Whether you believe Newsom is a good governor or not, there will always be a problem of migration going out of the state. It is starting to become a state where the incredibly wealthy are taking up the land and the resources, thus making it harder to work on.
Eventually you will begin to see a lot of the effects of Californians moving to these areas in droves and you will begin to see things become different.
Although we talk about the bad things, this can actually be a very good thing for an entrepreneur in the area who wishes to take his trade or craft to the next level and be able to work with Californians. If you’re an electrician, this is great for business! If you’re an auto technician, more cars with more miles on them!
Manufacturing coming to your area may also expand as you will begin to see more people come to your area and how exactly to cater to them. I myself will never leave California except for college but I have seen a lot of the world myself and it’s quite unique in a way.
If you play with stocks this might be perfect as well as you will be able to work in more markets. A new share market is starting to expand as well, the first app I use, Landa, focuses entirely on buying shares of houses and being able to see the dividends come in. I love the app actually and have been buying a lot more shares in Georgia. Georgia has an increase meanwhile shares for houses in Alabama don’t seem to be going up at all. New York is very matured now but will see more growth later on.
So there is a lot of opportunity here and over time you will see it grow. It becomes more apparent as things change and you will see more waves from other areas come in.

The Insurgency: After the MAGA regime fell in November of 2031 a crop of secessionist states and terrorist organizations rose from the Ashes. Most fell mere months after their formation like the Christian Republic centered in Western Nebraska and the 2nd Texas Republic around Amarillo. However, some groups managed to hold out for years. The most infamous: the American Redoubt in the Northern Rockies. Founded by the most extreme elements of the NDF and the Atomwaffen terrorist organization, they managed to keep fighting a guerilla war for 4 years thanks to their massive stockpiles of small arms. The Other War: When AOC took office, most people expected her Green New Deal to be shelved in favor of a more pragmatic, i.e. oil based, war economy. By 2032 her decision was paying real dividends. With so many oil, gas, and coal sources behind enemy lines, modernizing the country's energy grid not only proved essential to war production, but kicked off an economic boom in the Southwest, a region rapidly becoming known as the new "World's Factory." But an unlikely hero in the fight for climate change was the fledgling algae farming industry. Once limited to a handful of small sites in Los Angeles and San Francisco, the country's need for a reliable source of protein without land for livestock feed kickstarted a boom in the demand for genetically modified algae derived proteins. By 2032 once empty desert in California, Utah, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado were blanketed in algae greenhouses that not only provided a stable source of food, but also extracted a good deal of CO2 from the air, and increased the Earth's albedo, cooling the planet. The Big Linkup: After 3 years of fighting, and the hard slog across the Great Plains and Rocky Mountains, Army Groups East and West meet at Burlington, Colorado. For most people, this signals the end of the war, and indeed it does for the government as well. Both army groups will reduce in size considerably, and the conflict against the insurgents will transition over to a primarily counter-terrorist campaign against the insurgent cells. Air power and special forces units will do the bulk of the fighting from now on. Election 2032: There was no question about AOC seeking a 2nd term, and after the collapse of the MAGA regime, the idea of challenging her for the nomination seemed absurd. By the Democratic National Convention, AOC was at the height of her power and used it to finally dump Pete Buttigieg and nominate a strong VP that wouldn't try to undermine her: Senate Finance Committee Chair Katie Porter. The National Union Party puts up Utah Governor Joel Ferry, one of the few National Union Green New Dealers. The National Union Party makes a strong showing among suburban voters who are still no fans of AOC's progressive agenda, particularly with regard to her war on their portfolios, but ultimately the President wins her re-election bid thanks to the success in the war and on crafting a strong social safety-net. Crafting a New Order: 2033 is a year for ends and new beginnings. Mitt Romney dies at 86 in the middle of his third Senate term. The Senator leaves behind a legacy as the leader of the wartime loyal opposition, and in many ways the last man to carry Ronald Reagan's torch. Not long after Romney's death, Congress passes the 29th Amendment to the Constitution, which establishes informed consent and in effect bodily autonomy, an unalienable right. By Summer, those who tried to destroy those rights are charged with high treason and crimes against humanity. To cap off the year, Donald Trump Sr. is taken off life support. The former President had been brain dead for almost 3 years, kept alive by his family to maintain their legitimacy as leaders of the MAGA movement. Artemis VI: In 2029, Artemis VI lifted off from Cape Canaveral carrying six astronauts to the Gateway station and then onto Shackleton Base in the Lunar South Pole. The mission was the final flight of the SLS rocket, rushed into service before the Cape was completely surrounded by the NDF. The crew had a single assignment: mine as much water ice as was possible to keep the newly nationalized fleet of on-orbit servicing satellites, and by extension every other satellite, fueled and flying for the duration of the war. The Rebs captured the team at Kennedy Space Center, and the 2030 hurricane season trashed the Cape. No further launches could be safely conducted beyond small supply flights out of Wallops until 2034. When the Artemis 6 returned to Earth their bodies were frail, having lost muscle and bone density. But radiation damage was minimal thanks to their decision to move Shackleton into a nearby lunar lava tube. VA Day: On May 26, 2035 the town of Salmon, Idaho was completely destroyed by a combined air an artillery campaign that had been going on for a week. Salmon was the last hold out of the American Redoubt terrorist state, and its destruction finally brought Victory in America. VA Day was, in practice, a technicality. The Redoubt hadn't been able to threaten anyone outside of the Idaho panhandle for over a year, and for 4 years the insurgency had been limited to the Rockies and Appalachia. But on that day Americans everywhere celebrated the end of the bloodiest war in our country's history. Almost 9 million people had died, 2.5% of the population. 50 million people had been displaced and the war had cost the country trillions to bring to a close. Justice was still being sought by those who suffered under the MAGA regime, with Congress finally agreeing to hold a vote on the proposed War Reparations bonus to the UBI system. But for many, the debt of the war can never be paid. New Normal: With the war over Congress sets out to keep the victory they fought so hard for. A new amendment is sent to the still readmitting states for ratification, one that would give Congress the power to regulate redistricting, campaign finance, and places the country under a Ranked Choice/Popular Vote system for all elected offices, including the President. Meanwhile, the government also struggles to right many wrongs of the war, particularly with regard to the million or so Americans still displaced from the War. With the elections of 2036 on the horizon, nobody wants to be held responsible for making hard decisions. But at least one more is made with Congress agreeing not to repeat the mistakes of the past and to simply assume the war debts of the rebel states, rather than consigning them to financial ruin. <-Part III  \ Part IV

History
June 6
June 6, 1872 - Pioneering feminist Susan B. Anthony was fined for voting in a presidential election at Rochester, New York. After voting rights had been granted to African American males by the 15th Amendment, she attempted to extend the same rights to women. She led a group of women that voted illegally, to test their status as citizens. She was arrested, tried and sentenced to pay $100, which she refused. Following her death in 1906 after five decades of tireless work, the Democratic and Republican parties both endorsed women's right to vote. In August of 1920, the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution was finally ratified, allowing women to vote.
June 6, 1944 - D-Day, the largest amphibious landing in history, began in the early-morning hours as Allied forces landed in Normandy on the northern coast of France. Operation Overlord took months of planning and involved 1,527,000 soldiers in 47 Allied divisions along with 4,400 ships and landing craft, and 11,000 aircraft. The Germans had about 60 divisions spread along France and the Low Countries. American forces landed on two western beaches, Utah and Omaha, while British and Canadian troops landed farther east on Gold, Juno and Sword beaches. By the end of the day 150,000 Allied soldiers and their accompanying vehicles had landed with 15,000 killed and wounded.
June 6, 1978 - By a vote of almost two to one, California voters approved Proposition 13, an amendment to the state constitution severely limiting property tax rates.
Birthday - American patriot Nathan Hale (1755-1776) was born in Coventry, Connecticut. During the American Revolution, he volunteered for a dangerous spy mission in Long Island and was captured by the British on the night of September 21, 1776. Brought before British General William Howe, Hale admitted he was an American officer. Howe ordered him to be hanged the following morning. As Hale mounted the gallows he uttered, "I only regret that I have but one life to lose for my country."

Where to Buy Gold Jewelry
1) A brief history of Gold.
a. Gold jewelry has been valued by humans since before ancient Egypt rose to greatness. Since gold appears in nature in its native state at a high level of purity, early humans would find gold nuggets in streams or in other deposits. Gold flakes have been found inside caves where prehistoric drawings adorn the walls suggesting that early humans discovered gold and valued it for its aesthetic qualities. Gold is a very noble metal. This means that gold can easily be formed by striking it into shapes or plates which then can be carved or turned into coins. Alexander the Great is said to have funded his campaigns using gold that his troops mined along the way in his travels. Ancient Egyptians covered sarcophagus and other items with gold to praise their gods and pharaohs. Fast forward to modern times and we are using gold not only for jewelry and coins, but for electronics, surgical implants, and other uses which exploit gold’s heat and electrical conductivity.
2) Gold Sources, Purity and Measurement.
a. Gold can be found in almost every country throughout the world. Gold is either found in alluvial deposits which are caused by rivers exposing gold deposits or in mining operations where large quantities of earth are moved and processed to extract gold. Gold naturally occurs in purities of 85% or higher. Gold is heavier than other minerals found around it and therefore it is easy to separate using water sluices. Once gold is separated from the minerals which surround it, it is refined using either a chemical method in which gold is dissolved in a solution called aqua regia, which is a strong acid solution, or it is melted along with mercury which causes impurities to concentrate in a layer of the melted gold which is called slag. Once the slag is removed, gold has been refined to 100% pure.
b. Gold is a very easy metal to alloy. This means it can be combined with other metals to achieve production goals which would make a harder metal or a metal of a different color. For example gold is alloyed with copper to make rose gold and with tin and silver to make white gold. Aside from this gold is also dissolved in solutions to create electroplating applications. These applications allow gold to be plated onto wire and for other industrial purposes.
c. In jewelry gold purity is defined by Karat. 24 karat gold is defined as gold which has 24 out of 24 parts made of pure gold. Pure gold is very soft and seldom used for jewelry as it is easy to bend and wears and scratches way too quickly. 18 karat gold, or gold which has 18 parts pure gold and 6 parts of something else, is commonly used to make high end jewelry. 14 karat gold or gold that is 14 parts pure gold and 10 parts something else, is also used to make jewelry as it is harder and more durable than 18 karat gold. Gold is measured in Troy Ounces. The old question what weighs more an ounce of gold or an ounce of feathers is actually a trick question. Gold is measured in Troy Ounces and feathers in Avoirdupois Ounces. There are 31.1 grams in a Troy Ounce and 28.35 grams in an avoirdupois ounce. Therefore the Troy ounce, the ounce of gold, is heavier than the avoirdupois ounce. Conversely, the troy pound is lighter than the avoirdupois pound. Thus making the pound of feathers heavier than the pound of gold.
3) Gold Stamps and Identification.
a. The Federal Trade Commission regulates the trade of precious metals and directs manufacturers on how to stamp and identify gold. In the United States an item must be 10 Karat Gold or higher karat to be called gold. Also, gold that is plated must be plated with 10 karat gold or better to be called gold plated. Gold jewelry fineness is identified by a stamp which tell you how pure the gold used in the piece is. 417 or 41.7 percent gold is 10 karat gold. 585 or 58.5 percent gold is 14 karat gold. 750 or 75 percent gold is 18 karat gold. Normally a piece is either stamped with a three digit number or the actual karat content, such as 14K. Jewelry which is gold plated or gold filled is stamped with a GP or GF after the karat of the gold. For example 18 KGF, denoting that this piece of jewelry was manufactured using 18 Karat Gold Filled. Gold filled jewelry is jewelry manufactured using a solid layer of gold which has been mechanically bonded to a base material such as silver or a base metal like pewter. Gold plated (GP) is when an electroplating method is used to deposit a very thin layer of gold onto silver or a base metal.
Where to Buy Moissanite
If you are not yet familiar with Moissanite, it is a gem-quality silicon carbide that is frequently mistaken for a diamond due to its similar appearance. However, it is important to note that Moissanite is not a diamond simulant, but rather a superior alternative that boasts exceptional fire and brilliance. Its exceptional hardness also makes it an excellent choice for creating heirloom-quality jewelry, as it is highly resistant to scratches, chips, and breakage. Furthermore, our Moissanites are expertly cut and polished to a higher standard than the majority of diamonds commonly found in engagement rings.
What if a gemstone existed that surpassed the luster, brilliance, and fire of a diamond? Moissanite is just that gemstone. Originally discovered in a meteorite, Moissanite exhibits the same captivating beauty that is so highly prized in diamonds, but it outshines them with even greater sparkle. Moissanite rings not only rivals diamonds in terms of their aesthetic appeal and durability, it surpasses them. The mesmerizing beauty, exceptional durability, and affordability of Moissanite make it an ideal stone for any occasion. Find moissanite engagement rings today.

WRITING
Page One:
Necklace of small shells, metal wire and cotton string.
Japanese Americans were forced to leave their homes during World War II. They were given little time to prepare, and were only allowed two bags that they could carry. Many basic-needs were left as problems to be solved by themselves. The government gave little aid to run the concentration camps. These displaced Americans were forced to be resourceful. They had to use or reuse anything they could get their hands on, as the camps were built hastily.
The Tule Lake camp in Northern California was surrounded by freshwater wetlands rich with shells of freshwater mollusks. Among the internees were teachers and artists, who led various classes, including jewelry-making classes. Participants used shells, metal wire, and cotton string to make floral and other decorative designs.
PG Two:
Geta, made with love by a father forced to be separated from his son.
Goro was a boy separated from his father, each sent to a different concentration camp. Goro was incarcerated in Tanforan, California and later in Topaz, Utah. His father, Jingo was an immigrant held in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Jingo made these shoes by hand for his son, and shipped them to Goro in hopes to cheer him up.
Concentration camps’ locations were so deep in deserts that geta were necessary shoes to wear for walking around in the dirt, mud and sand. Many had to handmade geta because the everyday shoes they had were not suitable for the conditions of the camp.
PG Three:
Two rings.
Top: Metal ring brought into camp, its original stone lost and replaced with a rock found in camp.
Bottom: Wooden ring made in camp from a peach pit.
Kitchen refuse like tin cans, wrapping papers, mayonnaise jars, and even fruit seeds would be salvaged, to be crafted into something useful or ornamental. Nothing was put to waste.
Peach pits were scraped smooth against cement and gouged in the center to make rings.
Page Four:
Two broaches, of sunflower seeds, bottle cap, glue and shells.
For a long time after their release, Japanese Americans were humiliated by what the government had done. Many were not eager to discuss their time in the camps. Many had to look for new homes and jobs, and rebuild businesses that were lost. Many pieces artfully crafted at the camps were forgotten, given away, or thrown out because they held sad memories. Children of survivors tell stories of pins and jewelry found in storage after their parents’ death. Pieces such as these broaches have been donated to museums to preserve the memories of these beautiful pieces.
Shells were dug up from the dried lake beds of Tule Lake. These shells were sorted, bleached, painted , and then arranged into the shapes of flowers. The resulting broaches were used in place of real flower corsages, at weddings and funerals.
Reflection:
In making of this project, I wanted to display the patience, the dignity, and the struggles of Japanese Americans in concentration camps. I want to tell a story of the beautiful clothing and jewelry that was made. What was created should been seen as something to be celebrated, as a remarkably beautiful spirit of the creative mind in dark times.
Without the historical view to understand how these objects were made, one may see these as vintage commercial items. However, all these illustrations drawings are of real pieces that were made under watch of guards, ready to shoot anyone who dared attempt to leave the barbed wire fences.
These four posters present the stories of different people of the concentration camps, and their perspectives I have found through my research. The objects depicted were originally made from found scraps and materials on the ground, showing how resourceful and strong the human spirit can be in adversity.
About 120,000 Japanese Americans were forced into American concentration camps. Yet so many the lovely objects that made by these prisoners were subsequently lost and tossed away because they could have felt humiliated by what the United States had done to them. Luckily some donations have made it to museums to preserve these objects. I like to bring dignity back by drawing fashion illustrations of these wonderful pieces and tell their stories.

As we talked about Logo’s in this POST, I wanted to follow up with some inspiration that I have found online. Remember to make sure that your logo is Legible & Catches the Eye, you not only want repeat customers, but also people that are looking for more vendors for their shows, and potential brick and motar shops if you would like to scale bigger than just one show.
Here are a few ideas I have found:
Now, here are a few that look amazing, but if I wanted to tell my friend about them, or show them on Social Media, no one would be able to tell who they were unless I took a photo of the tag. And lets be honest, who here keeps all their tags on everything?
Logo and branding are important. Your display is of course important as well. But if I were to choose which one I would rather go with to continue my business pushing forward, I would spend the money on making sure my logo was not only present, but apparent.
Logos are IMPORTANT As we talked about Logo's in this POST, I wanted to follow up with some inspiration that I have found online.

Exclusive Video: B-2 Spirit Stealth Bombers Captured in Flight Over Northern Utah
Feb. 26, 2021 - Gephardt Daily
This article was shared by a friend who follows aviation photographer, Monico Garza. This rare event was captured on video on Feb. 25 in Utah and this is the only news source that picked it up.
“I was blown away,” Garza said. “These warplanes fly a lot of night missions. That makes a daylight sighting all the more rare. I tried to track them with two different radar apps, one for commercial and another one for military flights, and they were nowhere to be seen. They were seemingly invisible.”
Three B-2 stealth bombers at once is rare, let alone in the day. If you do an image search on them, you will not see any with chemtrails until you get to this article’s images! The fact that they did not show up on any radar is also telling. Perhaps these were not planes at all, but made to look like them. There is a lot of holographic activity in the sky. Images like this would serve to bolster the idea of military might in the tightly controlled US population. At the same time, it would instill more fear in the chemmies who still think the “government is spraying us.”
We need to think outside the box to understand what is going on here. These are the main points:
1) Nothing showed up on radar. So were there actually human planes up there?
2) It is extremely rare to see one of these planes, let alone three, especially in the day.
3) There was no mention of any sound associated with these powerful war planes. Could this have simply been overlooked? Holographic planes don’t make a sound.
4) The planes were supposedly at 50,000 feet (there is no solid documentation of this since they were “invisible” on the radar). They were captured with remarkable clarity and do not appear to be that high up, yet they are leaving contrails.
5) The trails are curving, which in our observation over the years, occurs when the craft have navigation problems in a high orgone field.
Food for thought.

Why the West is the Best
When looking to purchase land in the United States, whether or not you wish to retire on the land, use the property as an investment, or are just looking for cheap dirt to own, the locations of the best states to choose will vary.  If you are looking for cheap land, then the best states to look in according to Google are Tennessee, Arkansas, and West Virginia. Yet, according to land investors, although Google is accurate on a broader scale as to where a person may find a cheap property, the most inexpensive places to purchase raw land are not located within any of these states. The top states to purchase inexpensive raw land can translate to the notion of affordable counties, and not the states themselves to the eyes of investors, and most of these states can be found somewhere out west.
When looking at affordable counties, the top states to purchase raw land include:
Arizona, California, New Mexico, Colorado, and Texas
Arizona-
The most inexpensive location to purchase raw land in the United States is Cochise County, located in the beautiful state of Arizona. When most people think of Arizona, they think of hot and dry desert and cactus. Cochise County does fit this description. Cochise County holds a lot of our nation's history, such as being home to the Cochise Native Americans and the old wild gun-slinging west. This county is filled with beautiful mountains, old ghost towns, and a great climate. Many places in Cochise County, such as Pearce, do not rise much above 90 degrees in the summer, making this area an ideal place to reside.
The second least expensive county to own property in is that of Apache County, located in northern Arizona. When most people think of Arizona, they think of cactus, but this area specializes in Ponderosa Pine trees, Douglas Firs, and Junipers. This region is vast, taking up nearly all of the northern and eastern portion of Arizona, with a wide variety of stunning state parks such as The Petrified Forest National Park and the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest which is filled with wildlife and vast lakes.
Navajo County, Apache County's next-door neighbor is also an affordable place to own property. It is home to the city of Holbrook, and Show Low. Some of the Petrified Forest National Park is located within this region and it also offers Monument Valley and Keams Canyon. Also, this is a very large county offering a ton of space and tons of unoccupied lands.
California-
With the city of Los Angeles being so expensive, it might be shocking for people to know that their next-door neighboring county of San Bernardino is affordable! This county is home to the Mojave National Preserve, San Bernardino National Forest, and some of the Joshua Tree National Park, home of the famous Joshua Tree. If for nothing else then it is worth it to own property here to be close to many outdoor recreational activities and visitation to the big city that this area has to offer.
New Mexico-
Luna County offers epic views, tons of exploration areas, and a great climate. It is home to booming towns such as Deming and Sunshine, New Mexico. Deming is home to one of the number one red wines and the biggest winery in the United States at the D.H. Lescombes Winery & Tasting Room. Thus, although Sonoma and Napa counties are still home to some of the best wines in the country, they can move over when competing for desirable property to own land and grow grapes compared to Luna County’s affordability.
Valencia County, in New Mexico, is home to lush mountain views combined with the heart of the valley. This county is located just south of Albuquerque, it includes the El Camino Real de Tierra Adentro National Historic Trail, the Cibola National Forest, and the Manzano Wilderness. It is also home to the Facebook Data Center, so if the views and nature don’t amaze you, maybe the job market will.
Colorado-
Costilla county is not only desirable but unusual. It is home to many mountains, including the Rocky Mountain range, but also alligators and aliens. At the Colorado Gators Reptile Park, you can touch a gator. This park was opened in the 1970s and serves as a rescue center for many creatures. The San Luis Valley has also had its share of the otherworldly, as many unidentified flying crafts have been spotted there; and for a better review of spacecraft, just visit the UFO watchtower located within the county.
Texas-
There are three very inexpensive counties located in the large state of Texas, and Hudspeth is one of them. If you enjoy researching or observing ancient styles of agriculture, pictography, and artifacts, then this area may interest you. Hudspeth was home to the Prehistoric Jornada Mogollon people who resided in the Rio Grande floodplain and left behind a ton of evidence of their prior existence here. Also, if you are looking for mountains, fresh air, and isolation, this place will fit those needs.
Brewster County, just like Hudspeth, finds its home in western Texas. Also similar to Hudspeth, this is an area with a lot of lands and a low population of people. This area is home to not only ancient cultures and raider history but holds a portion of the Chihuahuan Desert landscapes.
Lastly, there is Presidio County, one of the larger counties in the huge state of Texas. This county is well known for farmland and this area has been cultivated since 1200 A.D. This area offers scenic drives across the Rio Grande, Big Bend Ranch state park, and Cibolo Creek Ranch area.
Other places to look for cheap land in regards to towns as Michelle Ullman notes in her article 15 Cheapest Places to Buy Land in America:
Marne - Iowa
Coxsackie - New York
Lake Los Angelos- California
Bennell - Florida
New Richland - Minnesota
Cape Coral - Florida
Lincoln - Kansas
Kingsport - Tennessee
Akron - Ohio
Curtis - Nebraska
Citrus Springs - Florida
Marquette - Kansas
Blanca - Colorado
Brookeland - Texas
Elwood - Nebraska
With retirement, it should be obvious by earlier mentioned facts that Arizona and New Mexico would be among the very top places to reside. Arizona holds the number one placement for weather and ranks number seven on the best places to retire in according to Bankrate’s article The Best and Worst States to Retire in 2021. Yet, New Mexico ranks seventh in regards to weather and twentieth for retirees, but also tenth in affordability, which is not bad at all!
When it comes to investing, speaking of New Mexico, not only is the land affordable and the climate more ideal but according to Amy Bell of Investopedia, in her article, The Top 5 States for Retirees to Buy Cheap Property; New Mexico’s economy is on the rise along with the population. As such, although there is no guarantee that land will grow in value, this notion does strengthen the argument that there is a strong chance that it might. Speaking from personal experience as a professional investor and selling land in Luna county since 2018, I have seen a huge increase in the cost of raw land within this county.
Arizona is a great state to look into if you are wishing to invest. Arizona has had a stable economy and a good job market for quite some time. Since Arizona has a ton of land, there are openings to lend that land to many farmers, which could make a great profit. Or, just hold onto it and the value may start to grow!
According to Martinez Ranch Management and Real Estate, other great states to invest in are California and Utah. California is due to the rising costs to reside within the state and paired with its beauty. Utah is not only an affordable place to own property and is sought after for those who are willing to owner-finance land to those who can’t afford to purchase it outright.
We hope this article has helped you on your journey to land ownership whether you are wishing to acquire property because it is affordable, to retire, or as an investment. • D-Day: Sword Beach
Sword, commonly known as Sword Beach, was the code name given to one of the five main landing areas along the Normandy coast during the initial assault phase, of Operation Overlord, the Allied invasion of German-occupied France that commenced on June 6th, 1944.
Following the Fall of France in 1940, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill vowed to return to continental Europe and liberate the Nazi German-occupied nations. The Western Allies agreed to open a Second Front in northern Europe in 1942 to aid the Soviet Union. However, with resources for an invasion lacking, it was postponed. The decision to postpone the invasion was due to wanting to see the Battle of the Atlantic to its closure, the lack of landing craft, invading Sicily in July 1943, and Italy in September following the defeat of Axis forces in North Africa in May 1943 resulted in the postponement of any assault on northern Europe till 1944.
Having succeeded in opening up an offensive front in southern Europe, gaining valuable experience in amphibious assaults and inland fighting, Allied planners returned to the plans to invade Northern France. Now scheduled for June 5th, 1944, the beaches of Normandy were selected as landing sites, with a zone of operations extending from the Cotentin Peninsula to Caen. Operation Overlord called for the British Second Army to assault between the River Orne and Port en Bessin, capture the German-occupied city of Caen and form a front line from Caumont-l'Éventé to the south-east of Caen, in order to acquire airfields and protect the left flank of the United States First Army while it captured Cherbourg. Overlord would constitute the largest amphibious operation in military history. After delays, due to both logistical difficulties and poor weather, the D-Day of Overlord was moved to June 6th, 1944.
The coastline of Normandy was divided into seventeen sectors, with codenames using a spelling alphabet, from Able, west of Omaha, to Roger on the east flank of Sword. Eight further sectors were added when the invasion was extended to include Utah on the Cotentin Peninsula. The Anglo-Canadian assault landings on D-Day were to be carried out by the British Second Army, under Lieutenant General Miles Dempsey. The Second Army's I Corps, commanded by Lieutenant General John Crocker, was assigned to take Sword. 6th Beach Group was deployed to assist the troops and landing craft landing on Sword and to develop the beach maintenance area. Sword stretched about 5 miles (8.0 km) from Saint-Aubin-sur-Mer in the west to the mouth of the River Orne in the east. It was further sub-divided into four landing sectors; from west to east these sectors were 'Oboe' (from Saint-Aubin-sur-Mer to Luc-sur-Mer), 'Peter' (from Luc-sur-Mer to Lion-sur-Mer), 'Queen' (from Lion-sur-Mer to La Brèche d'Hermanville), and finally 'Roger' (from La Brèche d'Hermanville to Ouistreham).
The sector chosen for the assault was the 1.8 miles (2.9 km) wide 'White' and 'Red' beaches of 'Queen' sector, as shallow reefs blocked access to the other sectors. Two infantry battalions supported by DD tanks would lead the assault followed up by the commandos and the rest of the division; the landing was due to start at 07:25 hours; the division would be the last assault division to land. Under the command of Field Marshals Erwin Rommel and Gerd von Rundstedt, the defences of the Atlantic Wall were heavily upgraded; in the first six months of 1944, 1.2 million tons of steel and 17.3 million cubic yards of concrete were laid. The coast of northern France was also studded with four million antitank and anti-personnel mines, and 500,000 beach obstacles. On and behind Sword, twenty strongpoints, including several artillery batteries, were constructed. The coastline was littered with wooden stakes, mines, hedgehogs, and Dragon’s teeth, while along the top of the beach, the Germans had constructed a network of trenches, gun pits, mortar pits, and machine gun nests. Barbed wire surrounded these positions and lined the beach.
The assault on Sword began at about 03:00 with the aerial and naval bombardment of German coastal defences and artillery sites. The landing was to be concentrated on Queen Red and Queen White in front of Hermanville-sur-Mer, other approaches having proven impassable due to shoals. At 07:25, the first units set off for the beach. These were the amphibious DD tanks of the 13th/18th Hussars; they were followed closely by the 8th Infantry Brigade, and by Royal Engineers in AVREs. The engineers set to work clearing mines and obstacles under a steady hail of small arms fire and artillery fire from Périers Ridge just south of Hermanville. Resistance on the beach was initially fairly strong, with wrecked vehicles piling up and casualties mounting; however, with most of their armoured vehicles successfully landed, the British were able to quickly secure the immediate area. By 09:30 the engineers had cleared seven of the eight exits from the beach, allowing the inland advance to begin.
British and French commandos encountered tough resistance in the seaside town of Ouistreham, on Sword's eastern extremity, but were able to clear it of enemy strongpoints. By 13:00, the 1st Special Service Brigade had reached the bridges on the River Orne and the Caen Canal, linking up with paratroops of the 6th Airborne Division, who were holding the bridges, after earlier disabling German gun batteries in a fierce night-time battle earlier. On the western flank of Sword, commandos of the 4th Special Service Brigade moved out to secure Lion-sur-Mer and effect a link up with Canadian forces at Juno Beach, but encountered strong resistance and were pinned down by heavy fire for several hours. Meanwhile, around the main landing area, the men of the 3rd Infantry Division had secured Hermanville-sur-Mer by 10:00, but were finding tougher going as they slowly fought their way up Périers Ridge and moved inland. It was gradually becoming apparent that the British would not be able to make the hook-up with the 3rd Canadian Infantry Division necessary to protect its right flank in an immediate assault on Caen. Troops of the King's Shropshire Light Infantry continued down the Hermanville-Caen road, reaching Biéville-Beuville, close to Caen, but were supported by only a few self-propelled guns, their flanks exposed.
The 21st Panzer Division, with its formidable inventory of some 127 Panzer IV tanks, was intended for use as a rapid response force; on the morning of June 6th, however, its commander, Generalmajor Edgar Feuchtinger, was in Paris, and Rommel was in Germany. The division was unable to finalize orders and preparations for a counterattack until late in the day. At about 17:00, two thrusts were launched, east and west of the River Orne. Taking advantage of the gap between the Sword and Juno sectors, elements of the 192nd Panzergrenadier Regiment were able to reach the coast at Lion-sur-Mer by 8:00 p.m.; however, with few flak units and very little support from the Luftwaffe, they too suffered devastating losses to Allied aircraft. When 250 Gliders of the British 6th Airlanding Brigade overflew their positions, on their way to reinforce the Orne bridgehead in Operation Mallard, the Germans, believing they were about to be cut off, retired.
By the end of D-Day, 28,845 men of I Corps had come ashore across Sword. British losses in the Sword area amounted to 683 men. The British and Canadians were able to link up and resume the drive on Caen the following day, but three days into the invasion, the advance was halted. On June 7th, Operation Perch, a pincer attack by the 51st (Highland) Infantry Division and XXX Corps was launched to encircle Caen from the east and west flanks. The 21st Panzer Division halted the 51st Division advance and the XXX Corps attack resulted in the Battle of Villers-Bocage and the withdrawal of the leading elements of the 7th Armoured Division.

Ep 196: The Christmas Monolith and the Warminster Thing
"The air was brazenly filled with a menacing sound. Sudden vibrations came overhead, chilling in intensity. They tore the quiet atmosphere to raucous rags and descended upon her savagely. Shockwaves pounded at her head, neck and shoulders."
– Descriptions of the “Thing” by Arthur Shuttlewood, as reported in his book, The Warminster Mystery
Description:
In a rare dual-subject episode for us, we take a look at two somewhat Christmas-themed stories, the mysterious yet not-so-mysterious "Utah Monolith" and the Warminster "Thing." In the first part of the show, we discuss the recent discovery of a 9.8-foot-tall metal triangular prism-shaped pillar we've dubbed "The Christmas Monolith." This story made the rounds after state biologists from the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources spotted the out-of-place-artifact while conducting a survey of bighorn sheep by helicopter over San Juan County in southeastern Utah on November 18, 2020. Two days later, the Utah Department of Public Safety posted a photo of the monolith on Instagram, with more pictures and videos of the puzzling pillar to follow. The internet and media outlets were soon abuzz with speculation about who, human, alien, or otherwise, would've illegally planted the iconic looking structure in such a remote red sandstone slot canyon in the middle of nowhere and why. Other metal columns have appeared in Romania and California, prompting the question, are these pranks, artworks, a message, or perhaps all three? The second part of our show tonight examines a freakish "flap" of High Strangeness that's so fantastic in its details and so widely experienced at the time that it's baffling why the story has mostly become forgotten. Generally considered to have gotten its start in the early hours of Christmas morning in 1964, this saga of shocking incidents in hindsight seems to have only publically peaked on December 25th and continued well into the following year, and only gradually declined in the decade to follow. The holiday literally started with a bang for the residents of the town of Warminster in Wiltshire County in southwestern England. Numerous citizens and British soldiers training nearby awoke to a medley of piercing, thundering, clattering, metallic noises in the sky and on their rooftops, the nature of which nearly defies description. The strange and untraceable sounds would continue to accost the townsfolk, with some reporting these sonic attacks were so violent it threw them to the ground and sickened their pets. As 1965 wore on, the unearthly rackets would eventually coincide with sightings of unidentified aerial phenomena and craft so unique they sound unusual even for a UFO wave. And what bouillabaisse of the bizarre would be complete without cattle disappearances, freaky interstellar messengers, and tall, humanoid-alien visitors? Warminster had it all. All told, this series of strangeness was so beyond comprehension, and with no vocabulary to satisfactorily describe it, the phenomena became simply known as the Warminster "Thing."
Location:
The former site of the “Utah Monolith” a.k.a. “The Christmas Monolith.” The 9.8-foot tall metal prism-shaped triangular pillar was discovered on November 18, 2020, in a red sandstone slot canyon in the former Lockhart Basin in northern San Juan County, Utah. The structure was spotted by state biologists from the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources while conducting a survey of bighorn sheep by helicopter. The monolith was seen being removed by four unknown men on November 27, 2020. If you zoom in all the way on the above map you can see its shadow.
Location:
The town of Warminster in the western part of Wiltshire county in southwestern England. Warminster sits on the western edge of Salisbury Plain, famous for the standing stones of Stonehenge and Avebury as well as other ancient landmarks, and known as “crop circle country.” Wiltshire is also home to training facilities for the British military.

Miller High Life was created over 100 years ago so that everyone could enjoy the good life, the “High Life,” with a high-quality, unpretentious beer that was within everyone’s reach. With a crisp, refreshing taste and tiny bubbles, it’s been known as “The Champagne of Beers” from its start on New Years’ Eve in 1903. It’s been faithfully brewed the same way ever since, and this summer, Miller High Life will help you raise a toast to celebrate life’s simple, special moments with their limited-edition champagne cans, in stores now.
