Gastronomy Day
Originally, this was supposed to be a one-shot for the #norma/frazie week. but it turned out very different from planned. Starting from the fact that I mashed up together lots of different prompts... and that I didn't wrote a one-shot at all.
Specially because I completely dislike Frazie and Norma as a couple. So, writing about them is an awesome way to both practice my writing and to challenge myself.
After all... maybe - only maybe they could be together, as long as Norma went through a huge change of heart. That's what this story is about, if I ever finish it .
For now, I hope you guys enjoy their rough begginings in the journey to love!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chapter 1 → The Number One Student
Everyone at Whispering Rock High knew that lesser principal Hollis Forsythe could be the most engaged person ever alive if she wanted to. What no one ever imagined was that she would bring back to life the already forgotten Gastronomy Day, in which each of the pairs handpicked by teachers who never considered their students might prefer the company of friends rather than socializing with strangers, should prepare a dish that perfectly represented different cultures. Or that at least didn’t kill anyone from food poisoning.
The jury might not be demanding, but there was still a ranking: the top three would be awarded just like all the other pairs would, in a consolation that already took away all the non-existent fun in competing. At least, according to Norma Natividad’s opinion. The number one junior student, and also the first to consider such festivities as nothing more than a waste of precious time she could spend studying, instead of being by Fiorenza Aquato's side.
— Holy Moly, there’s even macadamia jam here! — I didn’t even know there was macadamia jam at all… like, how do you eat that? With bread? And is it good? It’s not like I know it, right? I’ve never even seen this before and...
Watching her rummage through the fridge was the most excruciating experience Norma could have in life. Mostly because, despite Lizzie telling her that Gisu Nerumen had told Sam, who told her that Fiorenza knew nothing but how to be the loudest as possible, she never imagined she’d be greeted by the hellish horn sound from that crap Dion Aquato dared to call a car. That Fiorenza would slam the door and ring the doorbell a thousand times. A tight hug… and a kiss on the cheek.
Besides being noisy, Fiorenza was also quick. Norma couldn’t even guess when she’d tossed her backpack onto the living room couch and headed for the kitchen, carrying only a blue grocery bag, as big and crammed as the magical bags featured in these cartoons she used to watch as a child. It was only then that Fiorenza opened the fridge, and from there she took out all the fancy foods Mr. and Mrs. Natividad had bought for a get-together between co-workers.
—… it would go so well with the sour cream I bought, right? But I have no idea where to use sour cream! I thought about we make some stew… can we add cream to a stew? Maybe yes, but only if we cook…
It was obvious that she also had to chatter nonstop, wandering around like a headless chicken — until she went silent. Her sea-blue eyes staring at Norma’s winged face so intensely it made her wake up from the trance she was in.
— Norma?
— Hm?
— Is it all right? — She asked as she pulled her hair into a ponytail.
However, Norma was now empty-headed. And so her usual wild ideas were summarized to how the kitchen floor must already be covered with lots of red hair strands, or to how many fingerprints weren’t impregnated in that darn macadamia jam jar.
— W-we’re going to make burritos.
— … what?
— Didn’t I tell you? — Oops… — but now that she was back, regaining her fake smile would be easy — we’re going to make the frozen burritos in that same fridge you just rummaged like a wild beast!
— But… shouldn’t we, like… cook?
— No one will know if we don’t.
— But-
— C’ mon! It’s not like someone cares about it.
— I do! — She exclaimed — And I-I didn’t convince my mom to let me bring all this stuff up for nothing! — Do you realize how difficult it is to convince a real Italian mamma… my mom, to lend you her favorite pasta machine?
— And why did you bring a fucking pasta machine? Didn’t you want to make stew? A macadamia stew or… whatever? — Then she massaged her temples.
— Oh… I was still confused about what to do when I asked mammina about it. — She stretched her arms behind her head, smiling her wide, gapped teeth smile — The thing is that we will cook, yeah! And this is going to be the best… okay. Not the best. But still, I swear this is going to be a very tasty ciorbă de burta!
— Cio-r…?
— Ciorbă de burta.
She made her feel so pissed! And that mischievous laugh, wider and wider as the time passed… hell! Why did she have to get so damn close? Was she really that stupid to not realize-
— Whatever! — She raged — And this thing would be a…?
— Tripe stew!
— W-what?
— A tripe stew, you silly! But we can substitute the tripe - which I already bought - for burritos, since you are willing to use them that badly. — She playfully replied, with a well-placed flick on the tip of Norma's nose.
— No.
It had been a long time since Fiorenza had left her place behind the imposing, white marble kitchen countertop. Laughing heartily whenever she managed to ruffle the tousled curls of her newest, cornered and quitting friend (desperate too, though Frazie never noticed it). Whose fluffy shoulders she leaned so gladly on were identical to those owned by the sedentary ladies who used to watch her perform. Oblivious to how difficult a somersault really was, or to do a perfect jump - Norma might have been one of them, except she was too smart to not know the actual meaning of something.
— Only instead, we can make our own burritos… ah! And they can-
— No.
— … be mini tripe burritos!
She was different… and fascinating. Or maybe just…
— NO! No, definitely no! — Norma pushed her away — And get off me! This… this idea of yours offends the cuisine of at least ten different cultures!
— So-sorry. Sometimes I forget I can’t hug everyone out there! — Fiorenza looked perplexed when she finally released her, silently returning to the other side of the counter.
— Yeah, I noticed.
— Come on…
However, the silence was short-lived. But if it had been up to Norma, it would have lasted forever - instead, Fiorenza insisted on trying to ease the tension that had set in. Chattering, chattering and chattering nonstop.
— W-well… I heard you don’t even know how to fry an egg.
— You heard it, eh?
— At least, that’s what Gisu Nerumen told my brother. — She shrugged — But you’ll help me anyway, right? Y-you can bake your frozen burritos if you like. No problem… I can do the rest.
Observed by a kind smile, Norma just walked over to the electric oven on the other side of the kitchen, doing as she was told, and then clumsily sitting on the living room couch, not at all willing to argue back. All she wanted was to remain there, still. Judging the pathetic lives her colleagues showed on Instagram, while trying to ignore the stink that came out of one pressure cooker borrowed by the nature force that was Fiorenza Aquato.
The scent of tripes, bones and various other things she had thrown into it, before chopping the vegetables she’d stolen from the fridge (not the canned ones she’d brought). Her scrawny arms moved like a dance, an acrobatic performance as beautiful as a mesmerizing Renaissance painting - Norma also heard from Gisu that the Aquatos were acrobats.
She surely would have blushed, if only she could ignore the fact that a brand-new marble countertop was being slashed just like a butcher from some random, hypothetical horror movie tore apart his victims. Heck yeah... everything was so weird, sexy and hilarious until her iPhone, forgotten minutes ago, rang.
“What ‘s up?”
— What do you want?
“It seems you woke up on the wrong side today, eh?”
— What do you want, Elisabeth?
“Oh, no… don’t come calling me that!”
— Then spit it out!
“Ah…” She could practically see her sister’s smirk “… I just wanted to know if mom and dad are back yet.”
— You know they are not! — She growled. — Fuck… it’s still 3 PM.
“And?”
— And they won't back until night.
“So I’m going over there with Morris.”
— Don’t you dare!
“Stop being an ass, Norma!”
— There’s a good reason why they trust me more than you, you know?
“And there’s also a reason why everyone else finds you unbearable!”
— Seriously, Lizzie… not today.
“Just because you hate Morris?”
— What? I don’t... It’s because... — Norma met Fiorenza’s smile one last time, before curling up into some pillows, covering her face with them and supposedly whispering — Fiorenza Aquato… she’s here, in the kitchen. And it seems she will still be there for a long time…
“Gisu’s boyfriend weird sister?”
— In the flesh. — Norma laughed evilly — She’s doing our Gastronomy Day assignment.
“I thought we bought frozen food for that.”
— Right? — and then she grimaced — But she insisted on cooking… argh! Even its stink makes me sick.
“No kidding! What the hell is she making?”
— Tripe… stew.
“Ew!”
— Oh, you have no idea how much this all sucks!
“But Frazie… is she as weird as people say? Or…”
— Oh, she’s weird for sure! You know, she arrived splattering her junk all over the kitchen and-
Then there was the clatter of a bowl being slammed against the kitchen counter, and the sound of an aggressive spoon scraping something metalic. Fiorenza… Frazie was storing her dear recipe. Again, staring at Norma’s winged face - but this time, for the first time that day, she didn’t smile with her gap-toothed smile. Quite the opposite, actually.
— I’m leaving. — Her eyes were wet.
— But your brother didn’t-
— I WILL GO BY BUS!
And carrying only her crammed grocery bag, identical to the magical ones featured in children’s cartoons, she slammed the door. After all… maybe Whispering Rock High number one student was just a big asshole.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For now, that's all folks! Any mistakes to be pointed out, or anything else you guys want to say is immensely appreciated!
See you next time!

“I wish we were gay so that we could make out—“
“Who said I wasn’t gay?”

Norma/Frazie week day 1, first kiss.
Better quality images :
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
——-
ANY WAY——So uh——although the prompt was ‘first kiss’ I decided it was finally time to use this audio I had been saving for a moment just like this—-and uh——yeah so this exists now—-
( Also this isn’t exactly how I see their first kiss going, so I’m going to include my personal headcannon :
Frazie and Norma end up attending the same college, beginning as friends and ending…..as lovers ;)))))))))
And basically the two had a little disagreement earlier in the day,,,,have some more banter at night—which then, to their shock, ended in a kiss and all of a sudden being in a full blown relationship—— )
And so—-yeah!
Also I posted this video as a reel on instagram—-so uh—-yeah—-
( Also sorry for the poor quality—-insta refuses to keep my images as they should look—- )
( Also sorry that it technically didn’t follow the prompt—-but I still thought that it was worth posting——so uh yeah—-and I hope y’all like it!)

Norma/Frazie week 2022, day 3, Pirate au.
Pirate au : The young and agile pirate, Frazie Aquato, was in charge of her own ship. The captain of her ship no less……But one day, while she was looking for food, a young mermaid her age got caught in her fishing net……
Originally, Frazie had wanted to sell her, but after talking with the mermaid, and discovering that her name was Norma, she began to get attached…….and last minute decided that….maybe she could stay with her a while longer……but surly nothing would come of this right?……Well……The both of them were in for one big surprise……..
( DAY 3 DONE BABYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY———-)
( Also- Norma doesn’t have glasses cause I had thought that a mermaid with glasses kinda made no sense? Especially since they probably don’t have “eye doctor mermaids” XD )

Norma/Frazie Week Day 7: Free (Vampire AU aka My date turned me into a vampire, but I'm cool with it)
AUTHOR'S NOTE: I actually had another Vampire Story in mind with this day, but as I figured it would have been too long a story for the ship week, so I'll write that one on a seperate occasion. It was too much horror, so I wrote this one instead. Think of it as a sitcom pilote episode situation. Not everything makes sense, but the fluff is real.
And since this is the last day of Norma/Frazie week, I just want to say, it was such fun to write these. This is one of my favorite ships, and they needed a much needed ship week of their own.
Enjoy the story.
Norma's head was aching something fierce. Her throat felt dry and like it was burning. Even her neck was hurting. She opened her eyes with a pained groan. It was she never opened them. Her surrounding were pitch black. She was lying down on something cushioned, a mattress she assumed. She licked her dry lips. Man, how much did she drink last night?
What did she do last night?
Norma scrunched up her face as she wrecked her brain for last night's memory.
Let's see. She went out with her sister to a dance club. She drank a cocktails or two. She met a gorgeous redheaded girl. They had talked for a bit. Found out her name was Frazie Aquato. They drank some more. They danced. They danced a lot. They had embraced each other as they danced. They had ...kissed as they danced.
At one point, they had separated themselves from the group of dancers and found their way to the alley behind the dance club. To have some privacy. There, they had talking, eventually making out, talking some more and then Frazie …
Bit her. She remembered her teeth sinking in her neck. Draining blood.
Norma's hand flew to her neck. Yup, there it was. Two puncture wounds, already starting to close. She buried her face in her hands and groaned loudly. “Great, I got out for once and I get turned into a vampire. Lizzie's never gonna let you live this down, Norma...”
She sat up, but only managed to hit her head on the incredibly low ceiling. “OW!” Norma rubbed her head. Oh no, she realized where she was.
“A coffin? Really?” She mumbled. “How more cliché can this get.”
Someone knocked on the coffin. A giggle. “You okay in there?”
Norma groaned “Just open this damn thing.”
Light suddenly flooded her vision, blinding her temporarily. She blinked several times, as her vision slowly sharpened. She was greeted by the beautiful presence of last night's date, Frazie Aquato. She held two steaming cups of coffee in her hands.
Frazie grinned, showing of her fangs. “Good morning, beautiful.” She cooed, giving Norma a wink.
Norma sprang up from the coffin, regretting it instantly because of the splitting headache it gave her. “Don't you 'good morning, beautiful' me.” Norma said sharply. She craned her neck and pointed to her bite mark. “Wanna explain this?”
Frazie blushed. “Oh ...that. Okay, I admit, I ...got a little carried away yesternight.”
“Carried away? That is -'yesternight'?” Norma blinked. “That a vampire word or something?”
Frazie shrugged. “Could be a 'me' word.” She giggled. “Weren't you yelling at me or something?”
Norma sighed. “Oh, what the point with yelling?” She asked rethorically. “I suppose what's done is done....”
“You seem very calm about the fact that you're a vampire now.” Frazie noted with a grin.
“My therapist says I need to be ...more accepting of sudden chance in my life.” Norma confessed. “And what's more 'sudden' and 'changing' than this? I mean, why fight it?” She looked over the edge off the coffin. “Any help getting me out?”
Frazie giggled. “Oh sure, just let me … Here, take this.” She handed over a mug to Norma. She pushed a button on the side of the coffin. A sidewall of the thing popped open.
Norma sighed. “It's a bench disguised as a coffin?”
Frazie laughed. “It's a folding coffin.” She said, taking a sip of her coffee. “It's a novelty thing.
“Of course it is.” She said with a roll of her eyes, swinging her legs over the side. She stretched carefully, trying not to spill her coffee. “This thing is murder on my back.”
Frazie giggled and pointed accusingly to Norma. “Don't complain to me. I told you I had a normal bed, but you were very adamant to fool around in there.
Norma blinked a few times. “Oh crap, I did, didn't I.” She said, as a few flashes of memories of last night came back. A blush spread on her face. At least they had fun together. A soft smile spread on her face.
She brought the coffee closer to her face and smelled it . It smelled ...off.
“What's in this?” She asked.
Frazie took another sip of her coffee. “Just coffee, whole milk and a dash of A Positive. A good blood type to start the day with.”
“Oh, that would be it ...” Norma noted. “I usually take Almond Milk instead of regular dairy.”
Frazie's eyes lit up. “Oh, I got some in the fridge actually.” She said with a smile. “I didn't know if you'd like it. I can make a new mug for you if you ...”
“No, no, it's fine.” Norma said.
“You sure? It's no problem.”
“Frazie, if you don't stop, I'll bite you.”
Frazie cackled. “Good luck with that, your fangs won't pop up for at least a few days or so.” She sipped her coffee, giving Norma a suggestive look over the edgge of the mug. “You're always free to try. Could be fun.”
Norma didn't know if vampires could blush, but if they could, she was certainly doing htat right now. She brought the mug to her lips and took a sip. And another. And a big gulp. Within a few seconds, she had downed the entire mug of coffee down her throat. She let out a breath and held out her mug to Frazie. “I could use another dose of caffeine.”
Frazie grinned and leaned forward. “Hmmm, just like that?” She asked. “I am just here to give you coffee? Don't I get anything?”
Norma flashed a cocky grin and patted the seat next to her. “I think we can arrange something.”
Frazie sat down and wrapped her arms around Norma's neck, while Norma's hands found their way to the former's hips. After gazing a few moments in each other's eyes, they leaned forward, letting lips connect. Norma felt her mind go numb and pulled Frazie closer to her, deepening the kiss. After a few passionate moments, their lips parted with a soft pop.
Frazie grinned. “One ...” She took a deep breath and giggled. “One coffee, almond milk coming right up, sweetheart.”
If Norma's heart hadn't already stopped beating, it would be pounding out her chest somehow. She was falling hard for this girl. Even the night before, before she figured out Frazie was a vampire ...hang on ...what did she just think?
She groaned and closed her eyes. More memories of last night kept coming back to her.
“I...I've never done this before.
“I bet you say to everyone you're about to bite.(kissing sounds)”
“hmmmp, no, seriously. I have never ...Turned anyone.”
“Then I'll be your first. I'm sure you'll make it special.”
“You sure you want to do this?”
“I am. Life's been ...nothing but disappointing. I want ...something new. I want you. Otherwise ...I only have Lizzie. She'll understand.”
“You're drunk.”
“I only had a few drinks. I am still of clear mind.”
“I ..don't know. Norma, what if ...”
“Listen, I Norma Natividad of sound mind, give my full consent to you, Frazie Aquato, to bite me and turn me into a vampire. There, good enough.”
“...okay. I'll do it. (kissing sounds) I have to warn you. There's a small chance it won't work. But when it does work, it'll be like the worst hangover you've ever had. At least, that's how my mom describes it when she tells about dad Turned her.”
“I've had some bad hangovers in my life. I think I can handle it.”
“Okay ...hey, you ...wanna go to my place? Fool around a bit first before I ...?”
“I thought you'd never ask.”
Norma opened her eyes with a gasp. She looked over to Frazie, who approached her with a careful smile. “Why didn't you tell me I asked you to Turn me?”
Frazie's eyes lit up, briefly flashing red in excitement. “You remember?”
Norma nodded.
“I ...wasn't sure you'd believe me.” Frazie said, rubbing the back of her head. “My brother Dion Turned a girl he liked once, and when she Awoke, she didn't believe him when he told her it was fully consensual. She ran out into the sunlight and ...you know.” Frazie chuckled. “Thank god that his current girlfriend Gisu wasn't that mistrustful. She recorded herself getting bit and everything.”
Norma jumped up and wrapped her arms around her vampire lover. “I should've been more trustful too.” She said, planting a kiss on Frazie cheek. She noticed with glee that vampires indeed could blush. “After all, I wouldn't let just anyone bite me.”
Frazie wrapped her arms around Norma's waist and pulled her into a tight hug. “And I wouldn't just bite anyone. A vampire knows when they have met someone special.”
Norma pulled away, a incredulous smirk on her lips? “That a real thing?”
Frazie cupped Norma's cheek. “I was for me.”
They leaned in for another kiss, when Frazie phone beeped. The latter groaned and fished out her cellphone, briefly checking who interrupted her tender moment. “Millie, not a good time, girl.” She mumbled. Her eyes darted over the screen. She let out a giggle. “Turns out Millie had a good night too. She took a girl back to her place.”
“Was she the girl with the red streaks in her hair that was with you when we met?” Norma asked, resting her chin on Frazie's shoulder.
“Yup. She even sent a picture from last night. And yes, contrary to poplar believe we do appear in digital pictures. Mirrors not, though.” She kept reading. Her smile suddenly fell. “Hey Norma, what did you say your sister's name was?”
“Lizzie.”
“Does she have blue dyed hair by any chance?”
“Yes? Why?”
Frazie showed her the picture on her phone and Norma let out an exasperated sigh. The picture showed a raven-haired girl, mouth in a wide open grin, showing off her fangs. She hand an arm around the girls sitting next to her, who happened to be Norma's sister Lizzie. Lizzie had her neck arched to the side, leaving her neck wide open, grinning from ear to ear, giving two thumbs up. The caption read 'About to vamp my new girlfriend.”
Norma sighed and gave her own new girlfriend a weak grin. “I need some more coffee.”
Frazie kissed Norma's forehead. “Coming right up, sweetheart.”

( Norma/Frazie week, day 7, Free space { Future au } )
So———This is what Frazie and Norma actually look like in my future au——-and———their as sassy as they were as teens :/ ——-
HOWEVER, Frazie got to achieve her dream, all the Aquato’s did in this au ( kid wise ), which was to become a mathematician——hence the math related figments surrounding her. ( P.S, said figments were from Cassie’s level in Psychonauts 2. ) And as for if she’s in the Psychonauts? Well——-yes, but STRICTLY on the side—-
Also, Norma became an optometrist——with Psychonauts on the side—— ( She finally embraced her glasses in full lol, literally——XD )
So—yeah! That’s about it for this last entry———
And all I have to say is that : Norma/Frazie week was fun! And I enjoyed it throughly! So I’d just like to say, thank you for creating it!

Norma/Frazie week Day 1: Surprise/First Kiss
Norma always knew that a friendship with the Aquatos would be ...challenging. Besides the reason that she might nearly accidentally have caused the resurgence of Maligula, AKA their Nona, played a small part in that. But mostly it was because they were such different people than she was used too.
But, despite all odds, she somehow found herself in a ...comforting friendship with the Aquato children. Even Raz seemed to enjoy having her around ...from time to time. Norma knew she wasn't the easiest the be around with. And in the past, she was fine with that.
Personal growth aside, there was one Aquato that really managed to get on her nerves sometimes. Frazie Aquato. The redheaded, knife-wielding, snarky oldest daughter of the group. Not that she often clashed with her.
Okay, it happened, but that was not the reason she got on Norma's nerves.
No.
It was Frazie insistent way of greeting Norma when she wasn't expecting her. Frazie would sneak to her from behind …and kiss her on the cheek, followed by a 'Gotcha!”. And then there were time she didn't even sneak in from behind. Frazie would just run up to Norma and kiss her. Never on the mouth, though. It was always on the cheek. Norma had to be thankful for that, in a way.
But what really got on her nerves was that sometimes …. she liked it. Frazie didn't seem to do that to anyone else. Only her. Maybe because it made her feel so flustered and red afterwards.
But Norma knew that there would be a day she would have the upper hand on Frazie.
Maybe today.
It was perfect day for prowling in the Questionable Area. Frazie felt her grin widen as she slowly approached her quarry. Norma, sitting on a log, reading a book, completely cut off from the world. She slowly proceeded forward, carefully and meticulously doing one step after the other. Step by step, she inched closer.
Just a few more steps.
Norma was none the wiser.
She was so close.
Norma flipped a page.
She stood right behind her.
NOW.
Frazie grabbed Norma by the shoulders, pulled her back and kiss her cheek. “GOTCHA!”
Norma let out a scream, and in her shock, accidentally used her Pyrokinesis. The pages of her book lit aflame. She dropped the book, accompanied with another scream and started stomping on it in an attempt to put out the flames. In the meantime, Frazie was laughing – both as an involuntary reaction to the book lighting aflame and the fact that it was just funny.”
“Oh my gosh, Norma.” Frazie laughed out. “I am so sorry. I didn't mean for that to ha-ha-happen!”
“OH, YOU DIDN'T?” Norma yelled out, shaking the remains of the burnt book in her assailant's face. “Could've fooled me!”
Frazie grinned. “Here, let me make it up to you.” In a blink of an eye, she dashed forward and kissed Norma's other cheek. “All better!” She yelled out, spun around and ran off.
“OH, NOW YOU'RE GONNA GET IT!” Norma yelled out and ran after her.
Frazie couldn't help but to laugh as Norma chased her. She liked the hunt, but she loved a good chase. Even if she was the one being chased. She looked over her shoulder, pretty impressed with Norma keeping up with her. “You getting tired yet, Norma?”
“Just wait when I get my hands on y- AAAGH!” Norma was so busy having her eyes on Norma, that she wasn't looking where she was putting her feet. She got her foot caught on a big arching root that was sticking out the ground. She tripped, practically launching herself. She landed hard on the ground, rolling a few times across the dirt floor, before skidding to a halt on her stomach. Her glasses flew a few feet away from her.
“NORMA!” Frazie skidded to a halt and immediately ran to her fallen friend. She knelt by Norma and rolled her on her back. “Norma, please open your eyes.”
After a few seconds of silence, Norma let out a groan and opened her eyes. “Did anyone get the plate of that truck that hit me?”
Frazie let out a breath. “Okay, don't move.” she said. She let her gaze fall over Norma once. There was a hole in the knee of her pants. Besides some scrapes and some probable bruises, she couldn't see anything wrong with Norma. No broken bones were sticking out. '“Does it hurt anywhere? Any pain in your neck?”
Norma groaned. “Frazie, I can still feel my legs and I can move.” Norma said with a roll of her eyes.
“It was a nasty fall.” Frazie commented. “Norma, I'm sorry, I didn't want this to happen. I only wanted to have a bit of fun.”
“Of course you did.” Norma let out a breath. Her eye twitched. She closed an eye shut with a pained groan. “Ugh, okay, I think something is wrong … I think I got something in my eye.”
“Does it hurt a lot?”
“Not really, but -” She hissed. “It stings.”
“Okay, open your eye for me, so I can have a look.” Frazie instructed.
Norma tried to open her eyes, it just twitched. Frazie leaned in closer to Norma's face. “Hang on, let me just – HMMPHH?”
Frazie had noticed the mischievous smirk forming on Norma's lips too late. She didn't expect that Norma's head would shot up when she got closer. She certainly didn't expect Norma to kiss her on the lips. Or that she would instantly enjoy it...
Instinctively, Frazie closed her eyes and pushed forward a bit, locking lips with Norma, who didn't seem to want to pull back either. The kiss lingered for a few seconds. They slowly parted lips, both their cheeks burning red.
Norma was the one to speak up first. “Uhm?” She said with a nervous giggle. “Gotcha?”
Frazie blinked a few times. “Did ...did you plan this?”
“Uhm, not really.” Norma confessed. “The fall was real. The pain definitely is. I just ...kinda took advantage of a situation?”
“And the fact that you kissed me straight on the lips?”
“Well, I was aiming for your cheek, but I ...am not wearing my glasses.” Norma said. “I ...missed.”
Frazie couldn't help but to grin. “No, you didn't.” she said with a sly wink. “I'd say you hit the bullseye.”
Norma cheeks blushed even harder, if that was possible. She chuckled nervously. “C-could you get my glasses.”
“Sure, let me get you up first.” She carefully pulled Norma into a sitting position. “You okay? No getting dizzy or something?”
Norma groaned. “I am fine, but currently blind as a bat.” Nonetheless, she gave Frazie a small smile. “But thank you for asking. And caring.”
Frazie booped Norma's nose. “I'm your friend, Norms.” She said with a big smile. “What kind of person would I be if I didn't?”
“Me?”
Frazie rolled her eyes. “Here you go, being hard on yourself again.” She cupped Norma's cheek. “I think you're the last one left who has to forgive you, you know.”
“Well, …it's more than just ...you know.”
Frazie gave a sympathetic smile. She stood up and went to fetch Norma's glasses. She picked them up and inspected them. The ear seemed a bit crooked. She placed the glasses on her face. She blinked a few times. These glasses weren't THAT strong. She still could see clearly through them.
Wait, if Norma claimed that she couldn't see without her glasses, but she clearly could … Oh...A grin spread on Frazie's lips. Norma, you sly fox. She turned to Norma, dropping her grin. No need to end their little game too soon. “I think the ear is bit bended.”
Norma sighed. “It's fine, I got a spare stet of glasses in my room.”
Frazie slipped Norma's glasses on her face. “There, you're pretty again.”
Norma blushed. “You think I'm pretty with my glasses?”
“Truth be told, I think you are pretty without your glasses too, but I like it more when you wear them.” Frazie confessed truthfully. She spoke up before Norma could say anything. “Can you stand up and walk?”
“I ...think so?” Norma held up a hand. Frazie pulled her to her feet. As soon a her foot touched the ground, she hissed, pulling her foot up. “No, I don't think so.”
Frazie knelt down and gave the foot a look. “I don't think you've broken it ...you would be wailing like a baby if it did..” She said, ignoring Norma undignified scowl. “I think it just needs some ice. We got some a camp.”
“Well, how am I gonna get there if I can't wa-AH!” she yelped when Frazie scooped her up, a blush forming on her face again. “Do I weigh anything to you?”
“Please, do you know how much I can lift?” Frazie asked with a smirk.
Norma grinned. “Maybe you can give me a demonstration?” She looked down to the ground. “Just ...don't drop me.”
Frazie smiled at her quarry. “Oh, don't worry about that.” She brought her face to Norma's and kissed her cheek. Not a quick one, like the one that started this mess. This one lasted a few seconds. Frazie grinned. “I gotcha.”

Norma/Frazie Week Day 4: Confessions
Falling in love with a longtime friend always brought it's unique sort of problems. One of those problems? Coming up with a good way to tell this, without sounding too cringe or too eager.
“Norma, I know we have been friends for a long time, but I would like… UGH, no.”
Frazie rubbed the back of her head, thinking of a new way to confess to Norma she liked her.
“Norma, my feelings for you have grown to something more than just feelings of friendship.” Frazie paused and let out a fake gag. “What am I, a teenage drama moivie?”
Frazie paused. “Date me, hot stuff!”
She let out a long sigh. “Why are you making this so hard, Frazie?” She asked herself. “It's Norma for Pete's sake. You've known her since you and your family moved here. She is your best friend. You have done so much together. This ...this is just a new step. ...a big step. A terrifying step.”
Frazie stood up and walked acros the large branch of the big tree in her family's backyard. “I am making this too hard. I mean, it Norma. And what does Norma like? Honest and direct. So ...here goes.”
Frazie took a deep breath and closed her eyes. She imagined Norma standing in front of her. “Norma, I have something to say to you. Something big. If I keep this for myself for much longer, I think I will lose my mind. We have known each other for a few years now. And I can honestly say, you are my best friend. But I have to be honest, with me, with you. I love you. I don't know when I fell in love with you or when I even realized. I just know. And why wouldn't I? You are funny, smart, the cute kind of headstrong, cute in general and so, so pretty.”
She jabbed a finger in the imaginary chest of the imaginary Norma. “And before you start: yes, you are pretty. You know I hate it when you put yourself down like that. You are beautiful and anyone who says otherwise is gonna get kicked by ME. But ...what I really want to ask is ...Norma, would you like to go out with me?”
“Of course I will, Frazie!”
Frazie eyes flew open with a yelp and she lost her balance. She fell, but managed to grab hold on the branch. Hanging onto it like laundry drying, she found herself staring down into the Violet eyes of the person she was rehearsing her confession for.”
“N-Norma?”
Norma smiled, a blush on her cheek. She gave a shy wave. “Hi, Frazie. Hanging around?”
“K-kinda?” Frazie answered. “...Uhm ….how much did you ….hear?”
“Enough.” Norma said with a smile. She nervously wrung her hands together. “And I would like to say that I too, have found that I my feelings for you have grown to be something more than just feelings of friendship.”
If Frazie could blush harder, she would. “You...YOU DO? AH!” In her excitement, she had lost grip on the branch, falling hard on her behind on the ground.
Norma let out a laugh, holding out a hand. “You okay, Monkey Girl?”
Frazie blushed. “Just injured my pride ...and my butt.” She took hold of Norma's hand. A grin formed on her lips. She pulled hard.
Norma yelped when she fell forward, right into Frazie's arms. The girls found themselves staring in each other's eyes.
“So...?” Norma began.
“So...?” Frazie repeated.
“Is this the part where we kiss?” Norma asked, cheeks burning bright.
“I hope so.” Frazie replied with a grin. “I find it getting harder to keep myself from doing so.”
Norma smiled. “Let me help you with that.” She leaned forward, planing her lips on those of Frazie. The latter squealed and pulled Norma into a hug, never parting her lips from the other.
Unknowingly by both Frazie and Norma, back in the house, Frazie's mother Donatella was watching the happy moment between the two girls. She smiled warmly. “It was about time.” She said with a amused shake of her head. She grabbed her cellphone and searched for Norma's mother's number. She had quite the news to tell her.
