I know a lot of these kids think they know how to sing, think they know how to dance, umm, act. But it’s really about doing all of those three things at once, with presence. (singing and miming with left hand): “I am here for good.” Then over on the right side, here, is gonna pipe in at some point: (singing in a higher pitch and miming with right hand) “I’m just talkin’ bout everything about my husband.”Then I’ll come in and go, “Whatcha guys talkin’ bout?”, in, in like that kinda voice, in kind of a young hillbilly— “Wha— wha— whatcha guys talkin’ bout?”. And then all at once we’re gonna sing “We’re talking bout singing for good—” I don’t know how we’re all gonna sing at the same time…
