Sharing this cleaning hack that started as a fix for soaked cardboard packaging (we spray down our groceries and packages) ended up also being a huge win for everyday life as a disabled person. My fingers sublux, often, and the regular spray bottle that comes with our Force of Nature HOCl system makes them go after about three sprays. Regular spray bottle also sprays A LOT of liquid, so it wasn't great for paper-based packaging. I got a bottle that will mist instead of spray--really great idea, highly recommend. Also, HOCl is non-toxic (pets too!), you can spray it on raw fruits and veggies (had no idea how gross apples were even after washing 😩). Videos linked below are the same, first on YouTube, second on TikTok, because who doesn't love options?

I want to clean my bathroom (well, shared bathroom) with less chemicals. I’m fine with once a month using standard cleaners, however I feel like I want to use more non toxic cleaning solutions on a weekly basis. I am usually the one who cleans our bathroom, and I know that breathing in harmful chemicals is not great in the long run, so I’m trying to find a balance. I’m open to suggestions for more natural cleaners as well as cleaners made with everyday items such as vinegar and dish soap. Let me know what you use in your bathroom and what might be helpful!!

Ive learned so far that salt has amazing anti bacterial properties and works as a great scouring agent for cleaning dishes and a santizing agent for cleaning and extending the shelf life of fruits and veggies. I learned recently that my grandma used salt to clean collard greens when she grew up (similarly, my mom used baking soda).
I just washed some dishes with some of the tips in the article, particularly for salt's scouring and anti bacterial properites. I like knowing how such a simple ingredient we often overlook is so effective and was such an effective tool at keeping us all alive and healthy for years. I'll def be bulk buying salt for cleaning from now on rather than just seasoning.
I'm excited to refine how I use this mineral in my journey to curate an eco-friendly, non-toxic, holistic lifestyle. I'll def look up local, domestic, and/or ethical companies to buy from since salt making isnt something viable for me and where I am lol.

All Purpose Cleaner
There are many ways to approach all purpose cleaners. Technically you could use just water to clean something. As long as there's no grease or dirt particles on something it is clean, but that doesn't mean we should really be comfortable with that level of clean 😂 I use vinegar most often because it's the most simple, but I have a few recipes to choose from.
Vinegar Cleaner:
This really is the most simple option, but that doesn't mean it doesn't work extremely well!
1 part Vinegar (I love infused vinegar)
1 part Water
15 drops Essential Oil (optional, if using infused vinegar you may not find this necessary)
Castile Soap Cleaner:
If you don't feel like things are clean without a bit of soap this recipe is perfect for you! It's still incredibly simple to make.
2 cup Filtered Water
2-4 tablespoons Castile Soap
15 drops of whatever essential oil (optional, if you buy a scented castile soap you might not find this necessary)
These are great cleaners for basic cleaning to get the grime off, but neither have real sanitizing power. Isopropyl alcohol (also called rubbing alcohol) is amazing for disinfecting.
Disinfecting Cleaner:
This is great for cleaning with a bit of disinfecting power, but this is also an amazing glass cleaner!
1 cup Filtered Water
1/2 cup Vinegar
1/2 cup Isopropyl Alcohol
15 drops Essential Oil (optional, if using infused vinegar you may not find this necessary)

Failed a social interaction 0 injured 1 killed (me)
#Today has been so long 😭😭😭 I've been out the whole day studying and when I came back I spent more than one hour to cook my probably gone–#bad chicken (and rice and spinach) and then I couldn't even eat it because it was my turn to clean the kitchen at the dorm (which is the–#third following day I'm doing) (worth mentioning I'm running on 5 hours of sleep)#And I was goofing around with my friends but while doing so I. made fun of the landlord. And then one friend told me “hey girl he's right–#outside” and like 😭😭😭😭😭😭 I hope I die painfully. I need to be back next year and he already makes my life hard enough and hhhhhhhhhhh#I wasn't even like. Serious. It was just to joke around with my friends I don't have anything against him (except for the things I do)#hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh#And now I feel so embarrassed I have no appetite at all + the chicken (which I had to bring home through one hour walk in summer which–#probably wasn't good for it. And then froze one day past the expiration day) (I really need to get better eating habits) I had been–#preparing despite taking one hour to cook it I got the firing wrong and now it's all hard and honestly not very good and like 😭😭😭#Look at what you did to the (frankly already diseased) chicken#I feel so betrayed by everything 😭😭😭 Can life get a little easier#I'm mostly kidding I'm doing okay. I just need to rant because I CAN'T GET OVER THE LANDLORD THING MAN HOW DO I FORGET ABOUT IT.#This kind of things always haunts me for at least three days so 😭😭😭#I'm dead tired but I really wanted to answer asks today so. Probably doing so between today and tomorrow#Rant over sending lots of l love 💞💞#random rambles#In my defense it's not my fault I'm too poor to throw the chicken away 😪😪 I haven't eaten since forever#It's also not my fault I can't afford a new non sticking pan so I have to stick (ah) to the probably toxic one#It is very much my fault for messing up the chicken cooking temperature tho lol

Stop using clean when you mean natural
Stop using natural when you mean chemical free or non-toxic
Everything is chemicals
Natural can be toxic

Id like to use this for cleaning the dishes along w the Ecos detergent I bought, and disinfecting dishes in a solution soak.
I rlly dont like using bleach soaks as its so terribly toxic and easy to go awry in use in household setting long term. Technically dishes dont need disinfecting but I'd like to disinfect them when I skip a wash day or cook raw meats, especially chicken.
I like how this method makes use of lemon rinds before theyre composted! Lemon and vinegar should be optimal for cleaning and disinfecting for me and I can relatively easily find these ingredients in local markets (well, definitely the lemons lol).
Maybe i'll try this for cleaning the sink, too. I'll find a product or otherwise another effective and at least biodegradable/eco friendly solution for bathroom cleaning (toilet and shower especially).

Infused Vinegar
Vinegar is one of the best all purpose cleaners in my opinion. I use it all over my house. I'm used to the smell after years of using it for cleaning as well as canning, but I know a lot of people really hate it. You could add essential oils to your cleaning products...or you could make infused vinegar! Infused vinegar is so insanely simple to make as well as cheaper and more sustainable than essential oils. Now don't get me wrong, I love using essential oils, but one bottle takes pounds of plant matter to make. With infused vinegar you can simply add your orange peels to a mason jar after a snack, costing you no extra money and reducing waste.
Orange peels are most commonly used since oranges are popular snacks, but you can use any citrus peels, herbs, or even pine needles! All you have to do is fill a mason jar with your dry matter (Peels, herbs, etc) and then fill the jar with 5% acidity white distilled vinegar and let it infuse in a cool, dark place for 2 weeks. I usually use a quart jar, but if you're not sure you'll like it you could use a pint. Alternatively, if you know you'll go through a ton of infused vinegar, you could make it in a half gallon jar.
