Fanny is a non V member I think about a lot. In terms of this question, at anyway rate. I think it could be fun to explore a dynamic between her and Nigel due to him mentioning at the beginning of END they’re in the same grade and are implied to have known each other before they entered the KND.

Same with Fanny and Kuki! Kuki decided to become her first real friend after SLUMBER so I definitely think about that a lot.

There are others, of course. But Fanny is the one that comes to mind!

Wished they were taken more seriously, but won't deny some of their episode were my favorites by far (especially OP T.R.I.P). Less because of the gags they thrown them in, but rather we do finally see glimpses of their own personalities cause up until then there rlly wasnt much on them besides them failing and falling out a whole damn window all the time xxbdj honestly, that calls into question how resistant these guys are holy shit

The sister(if anyone got any name suggestions for them plz tell so I can steal them too/j), is fed UP, and I love her for it, cause with the amount of shit she's face i'd go fucking insane too. I vote we should give her gun, all her problems would be solved/j but actually, i enjoy that she's a little shit, impulsive, arrogant, etc, but i think it kinda stems from a fear of failure because how else would they've been known as father's bestest spies? Sector V had knocked down a pedestal, and that fucks with her head, but then their failures began to pile up and now she's becoming increasingly desperate to prove that she's still somehow #1– in turn she because implusive, impatient, etc. Sbe 100% cares for her brother, so at the same time she feels like she's dragging him down, it all piles on. Maybe a vaca would do her some good.

The brother, I absolutely adore him – tbh I adore both of them equally. He seems more like the younger of the two in terms of personality, we seem always following his sister's lead despite how irrational it could be. His loyalty and compassion to her is something that kinda pushes him to being my fav twin spot, cuz well im a sucker for good brother characters. And despite his more "softer" attuide compared to his sister's, they're both evil and flawed equally on the same level ‐ mo manipulation or pressure(well kind), nah-da. As the brother is just as implusive, selfish, and arrogant, but he hasn't let their failure get to his head just yet – in turn, he has more clearer head than his sister, so he ends becoming a voice of reason than a leader.

It's pretty popular theory that they're delightful, which is something I think about a LOT when it comes to their characters. And a bit more headcanon here: their non-delightful selves are still conscious, as to me(inspired heavily by my SS au with a friend), being delightful serves as just a filter for kids. Kinda like you feel the urge to chuck a plate, but because you're delightful, it's like a parasite keeping your hands folded in your lap, controlling your behaviors and words.

And they both don't like that their delightful-selves are fighting against old comrades because they were probably ex-KND operatives. perhaps got caught during a mission in Father's mansion, and faded to obscurity in KND history. Either that, or maybe they were father's first delightful experiments? Before the DCFDTL? Maybe that's why they aren't as insync as the DCFDTL, cuz you'd think them being related by blood would strength that bond.

Honestly, i just want an AU where they're happy:))

4: What’s a hobby they used to have that they miss?

He loooved to help his father work on the car. They always made silly adjustments to it together, even if it wasn't necessary. Can't do that when he's dead, you know...

13: When do they fake a smile? How often?

This may be a bit shocking considering he's depressed but although he fakes a smile a lot, it's only because he's autistic and needs to force himself to have non authentic facial expressions to appeal to others. He has a natural smile sometimes but sometimes he's completely bare faced when he's enjoying himself.

20: Who do they like as a person but hate their work? Vice versa, whose work do they like but don’t like the person?

First is Nigel. He thinks Nigel is too egocentric about the KND, but Nigel IS his partner... So he doesn't say anything. Everybody has flaws, he guesses! And second is Patton. He admires his dedication (and his piloting skills) but would break down into tears if forced to work with him. He doesn't hide that he thinks Patton would be cute if he wasn't so assertive.

"First and Latest Incest Ships"

I'm not sure how much it counts as "True" incest, due to the backstory of these characters being unclear on if they were simply friends, or genuinely related, before the events of the series - but my first incest ship was all of the Delightful Children From Down The Lane from Codename: Kids Next Door with each other. I had more ships with Ashley specifically, but none of them incest.

My latest incest ship is one that I'm not sure has a proper name, but I've seen called "Lyncest" - Lyney and Lynette from Genshin Impact. In Lyney's story quest we learn of floral symbolism in Teyvat, and that Rainbow Roses represent love. Lynette gets a little jealous when she sees Lyney hand someone else a Rainbow Rose before she ever gets one from him. It made me ship them so fast.

27. "First & Latest ships with a yandere"

My first ship with a yandere was caused thanks to @ask-the-matsus-and-ayano-blog's blog a while ago. The ship (obviously) being Ayano Aishi and all the Matsuno siblings. This post in particular made me adore how the ship is shown. They're such a cute polycule!

My latest ship with a yandere is definitely SatouShio - Satou Matsuzaka and Shio Koube from Happy Sugar Life. Satou is so determined to protect Shio from being taken away or hurt by the outside world that she goes to extreme lengths, often not healthy for Shio's development or enrichment - but despite that she's trying to give what she can to balance things out. It's just expensive and difficult... They were about to run away together to possibly counter that lack of enrichment, but sometimes things go very wrong all at once.

28. "First & Latest enemies ships"

I'm going to be perfectly honest here, I'm not really an enemies shipper when it comes to most things. I can only really think of two ships that fit the bill, and even then, I'm not sure the latter would be aware of each other as enemies.

The first would be Ashley of the Delightful Children From Down The Lane with Fanny Fulbright/Numbuh 86 from Codename: Kids Next Door. I liked the idea of Ashley sneaking off to hang out with a KND member as non-enemies from time to time, and Numbuh 86 doing the same to relax after a difficult day of working decommissioning. Their very different attitudes to life had me thinking they'd make a cute overly-loud blunt girl x polite goody-two-shoes trope.

My latest, which I'm not sure would even be aware of each other as enemies, is Childe/Tartaglia/Ajax and Amber from Genshin Impact. Childe is a Fatui Harbinger, while Amber is an Outrider for the Knights of Favonius, who aren't exactly on the best terms with the Fatui. Amber is also a bow user, as is Childe - but it's canonical that the bow is the weapon that Childe is the worst at using, to the point he throws his last arrow instead of shooting it. I like to imagine Amber seeing him use a bow this way, and immediately come over to teach him proper holding stance and position, not recognizing he's Fatui. I'm sure we all know how weapon teaching classes can go with ships over time... lots of fluff and cute contact potential.

Numbuh Vine was a loyal member of the Galactic Kids Next Door. Her job was to test planets to see if they are ready to be a part of the Galactic Kids Next Door. She would get close to what the GKND Operative Scientist believe is their best candidate and pretend to be their significant other. She would test their loyalty at a specific time and if they succeed they’ll be one step closer to joining the G:KND. If they fail, the planet will be decommissioned. 

This was the same when she took on the identity of Elizabeth Devine. She would date Numbuh 1 to test his loyalty to the Kids Next Door. It was supposed to be a typical job for her. But this time there was more to Nigel than she expected. He was loyal to the Kids Next Door alright, but more specifically to his friends. This made her jealous to the point that she tried the BoyfriendHelmet on him. She made the excuse that it was to see if his loyalty can break it.

Eventually, it was time to give him the test. She would pretend to betray the Kids Next Door so she can get a piece of the Delightful Children’s cake. Nigel refused, passing the test. Her mission was done. But something compelled her to stay. So when they needed help the most, she crashed the Gazebo into the Monster Cake and saved them. She tried to excuse herself as not wanting to lose such a valuable candidate but the G:KND punished her by forcing her to stay with the KND and continue testing him. She didn’t mind it at all.

But eventually the Galactic Kids Next Door decided that Nigel Uno was the perfect representative for Earth. So they ordered Lizzie to break up with him, removing the last non-KND relation he had. Reluctantly, she agreed to do so and was back with the Galactic Kids Next Door. She was hoping after he adjusts to his new surroundings they can hook back up for real. But sadly as soon as he got on the G:KND kept him to themselves. This worried her because they were never this intense with a new recruit.

That’s when she discovered the simulations they put Nigel through. They are pushing him to be completely loyal to the Galactic Kids Next Door, and his final test will be to fully decommission the Planet Earth. Lizzie knew Nigel wouldn’t do this on his own but feared that they’re changing him into something he is not. With a successful simulation, she knew it would only be a matter of time before all simulations would be at 100%. So she made a plan.

Revealing the truth to Sector V, she begged for their help. While Numbuh 2 and 5 worked on getting everything read, Numbuh 3 and 4 accidentally released the video worldwide before they were ready. Now Numbuh Vine is trying to escape the G:KND as the Earth Kids Next Door try their best to save their planet. But in Scratch Space, these events haven’t happened yet to Nigel Uno. She hoped to re-ignite their relationship, but Nigel was already the prime candidate for the G:KND.

Luckily for her the rest of the Sectors know her story and try to keep Numbuh 1 from finding out the future. She thought she could help more by revealing herself to be a G:KND operative. She pretended to be a fan character but she didn’t take into account Nigel being able to see through her. Now she has to figure out how to prevent that future but also try to get back to Numbuh 1′s good graces.

Human Disguise - Since Earth doesn’t know Alien exists yet, Lizzie dons this disguise. While she designed the human, it sometimes activates without her permission.

okay so you know how in INTERVIEWS hoagies like science nerds stink at keeping secrets from eachother rite. but like. how long did he know? like what was up with that part in PLANET where he accidentally calls kuki and wally test subjects?? did the gknd consider making one of them earth operative?? i dont know what to do with this information

not to imply he knew the gknd was going to try to blow up earth! if the other non-secretly-an-alien kids knew that theyd probably be uhhh mad lol but anyway if true that could be an interesting and emotionally devastating thread to explore in gknd the series if it ever exists

It sure is emotionally devastating! I think about this all the time and it's one of the things that makes me the most upset when I watch op INTERVIEWS tbh cuz like fuck dude Hoagie knew for a while and had to keep it to himself, even tho it was clearly tearing him up inside. He couldn't even talk to his best friends about it. What he said to Nigel also makes sense, because he had the most time out of everybody to process the fact that Nigel was leaving, so he'd already been thinking about it (I'm referring to when he's like "you're going to go on amazing adventures out there and we're just going to be stuck down here". He was clearly giving it a lot of thought and had time to consider things past his initial feelings of loss)

There is no way that even the science nerds had TOO much information about the GKND though. 74.239 could control what they knew and didn't know, and could have even fed them misinformation on purpose. He might not even be the only operative who was a stealth GKND agent, but still, I feel like they would be very particular with what information they let out, possibly based on what they NEED certain people to know to perform certain tasks.

(On the subject of other knd ops who could have been GKND, consider the medical operative who woke Nigel up from his GKND influenced dream in WHITEHOUSE.....)

I could go down a million GKND related rabbit holes, but to stick with Hoagie specifically- Yes I think his behavior in PLANET is foreshadowing the fact that he knew some things. In fact, it's interesting that he's even there as a part of the study, since he's technically a field operative. I'm assuming 74.239 wanted him there, because their test subjects were his sector members. It's possible that this episode is when he learned about GKND, perhaps in the briefing for the mission. There's no way he didn't know, though, because that's an episode from the second half of s6.

But yeah mostly I just get sad about it. I'd imagine at first Hoagie is extremely excited to learn about aliens and all that stuff, he's probably overwhelmed with the possibilities. But when he finds out that Nigel is leaving and is the only one who gets to leave, it would have been crushing. If he built up the GKND in his head before that, as some amazing sci-fi adventure, to then be told "your best friend is going, and you have no possibility of going", it would be heartbreaking in multiple ways, which canon seems to imply.

Why the FSM is a terrible person (check the tags before reading)

The Books

So let's start with what I believe to be the most obvious piece of evidence; these lines from spinjitzu brothers: curse of the cat-eye jewel. (a canon book)

The first spinjitzu master kicked out his student with little to no evidence. And according to Wu, it seems like something that their father would've done.

I know that Nineko manipulated the boys, but this seems like an odd thing to lie about, especially since she knows that Wu and Garmadon are the FSM's children.

This is a pretty harsh and horrible thing to say to children, especially your own. Not to mention that the sentence after it suggests that the FSM has admitted these things to his adolescent sons before.

Not that they shouldn't have been punished, they did mess up quite a bit, but Wu should've at least been comforted, he was manipulated by someone he thought to be his friend and the FSM shouldn't have let his anger out like that.

The Show

In the scene where Wu was explaining how Garmadon had gotten bitten by the great devourer, he admitted that his father would angry at them over a sword falling over a wall. A very replaceable and simple katana, that wasn't even broken.

Not to mention that they were afraid of the FSM being mad at them, no child should ever have to be afraid of their parent when they're mad, or the consequences of that anger or telling them about their mistakes.

It also seems implied that Wu's scared of the FSMs reaction to what he'd done in the aspheera incident, hence why he went to Garmadon instead.

He's seemingly weirdly secretive of merlopia and honestly really uncaring for the serpentine.

Let me elaborate; he came to Ninjago, and created land on a place that was already home to multiple beings, defeated their goddess with the help of the native people, kept making land but left the native people seemingly completely forgotten by everyone besides from Wu, made up a story about how he created Ninjago by himself and completely leaves out merlopia and the island.

And when Serpentine where on the land he created, causing no harm other than minor fear to his people, he forced them into what seems to be a small plot of land like they were somehow lesser than the humans and himself. And yes, there is a potential that the FSM himself created the serpentine, but in a sense that would be even worse; since he'd be choosing the humans as his favourites in a sense.

Looser Points

That whole 'faith' thing just doesn't sit right with me, clearly he could've helped Garmadon with fishing, but instead decided to turn it into an opportunity for a lesson about hope.

The fact that he causally let his sons go so close to serpentine territory with no one watching them really doesn't sit right with me either, they're kids and they're bound to get curious. He's a literal godlike being, it shouldn't be that hard to at least get them a babysitter.
