I can confirm. My parrot didn’t want anything to do with my homemade bread yesterday, because he thought it was regular bread. Today he tasted it and realised it was banana and walnut bread and had an orgy out of it! :P But he couldn’t tell from being real close to it without tasting it.

Huh, that is interesting! Good to know. ^^  So, for anyone curious: the answer, as confirmed by Sekiei, is that birds can’t smell for shit.

I'd recommend Osprey (https://www.ospreypacks.com/) they have lots of choice and packs for all levels of outdoor activity. It's pricey but the quality if worth it. Salomon is good too, but their packs tend to be on the smalls side. Hope it helps. ;)

definitely HARD. I’ve struggled with this for so long. This year, I took a bit of a turn and I’ve been really strict with myself about finishing projects. It’s still a constant struggle but I think it’s starting to get slightly easier the more I do it? If that helps… :P

Yeah, I definitely get that. Unfortunately, the early part of 2017 for me was REALLY BAD about not finishing stuff ^^; I started like... *counts* at least 8 fics before September that I didn’t finish and that’s sort of depressing. ^^; BUT, I’ve been doing really good about just writing in general. I’ve blown my wordcount goal out of the water lately, and so even if I’m not finishing everything I start, I’m still finishing more than normal. I think finishing things is what I’ll focus on after I’m really sure I can just produce content consistently.

Okay, so I have opinions about Final Fantasy 15, right? Meet me at the virtual coffeehouse and we can discuss it at length. (Honestly! I'd love to talk about this game with you!) For the purposes of this rec, however, I will refrain.

You can enjoy this lovely story without playing the game, because it's set before those events.

Ignis and Gladiolus both work for the young heir to the throne, Prince Noctis. Ignis is is his tutor/minder/assistant, and Gladio is his chief bodyguard/personal trainer. Ignis and Gladio don't like each other very much. But when Ignis places a classified ad for a pen pal, Gladio is the one that answers. They, of course, write anonymously and thus don't know each other's true identities for most of the story.

It's incredibly romantic. The boys are quite different, yet connect on a level neither one of them expected. They woo each other with words at first -- so many incredible, vulnerable words -- and then actions. I read fanfic, in part, for interiority: to go deeply into characters and find out more about them. Since the boys spend the majority of the story using the written word to communicate, that's exactly what you'll get.

(This must have been a super fun project to follow, because not only do the authors include multimedia for the fic, the authors posted in real time. I'm sorry I missed out on that kind of anticipation and excitement.)

A fun bonus for this fandom is that not only is there great fanart (for example: Gladio, Ignis), FF XV has an in-game photo mechanic, so a search will turn up many, many pretty pictures.

This is a "wrap yourself in a blanket with a cup of tea and let the feels carry you away" kind of story. The plot centers around their relationship rather than external events so you can just sigh happily and go on this journey with them.
