The gentle tapping of rain on his windowsill was always so soothing. Ryo's workroom was busy this evening, with the completed baseboard displayed on his custom table. It was waiting for handmade decorations, and he always delivered. The binder he needed for this step of the process was for greens. He needed to paint the tops of trees. And, well, he couldn't quite tell if the green on the tree matched the green swatch on this page.

But he manages to find assistance. Or in this case, it finds him.

The strange presence didn't go unnoticed. He was too busy doing detailwork to acknowledge it until it got close enough. Without warning, he whipped toward the intruder. Tree in one hand, the removable paint swatch in the other. The first, and only, words that left his mouth were,

"Do these greens match?"

Unbeknownst to him, they did not. The green is more of a yellow-green than the crisp green on the swatch he was attempting to emulate.

I think Bakura has had limited interactions with Marik, but I suspect if he had more, there's a pretty good chance Marik might get upgraded to "relentless pest" when he sees him, which would be downplaying how Bakura feels somewhat. (But I guess you never know. Maybe they would get along better than that?)

The form was interesting. "What are you? Some kind of bizarre monster escaped from a card?" Bakura's first thought was honestly an alien.
