The best version of Ganondorf was Wind Waker. This was when Ganondorf was still just a guy.

Skyward Sword hadn't happened yet. Demise's curse wasn't established. They hadn't yet decided that he's this force of ultimate evil who can never change. This is only his second time fighting Link, after being defeated in Ocarina of Time.

There's this part where he talks about how he grew up in the desert and longed to live in Hyrule because it was nicer there. He talks about fate. He says he has no need to kill Link. He seems aware of the cycle and wants to be free of it. Just for a moment, there's a little depth to this man. Just for a minute, he's got a motivation beyond doing evil for evil's sake. Just for a second, he is a character. There was a little spark of internality.

It was never seen again.

more Dungeon Meshi in Wind Waker style! (first part)

I like the idea that Link could stumble on Laios's party in dungeons, maybe after the miniboss, and they offer you a meal that replenishes your health, sort of like Yeto from TP! You could take some with you in a bottle like grandma's soup. There could be a funny interaction if you show Marcille a joy pendant, and she thinks it's really pretty until Laios and Senshi tell her it's actually a treasure bug.

Something about the hand shaped enemies in Zelda games give me the absolute heebie-jeebies. I hate them so much. They freak me out man, it’s legit bad for my heart!

So here’s an artistic interpretation of the first time I came across those damnable gloom floormasters in game. It was like every creepy hand enemy merged into one nightmarish abomination come to haunt me. Link almost met the goddesses that day…
