one of these days i'm writing some kind of essay about lost media and humanity's need to solve loose ends. people only care about it because its lost. people only know its lost because somebody cared about it. it's such an achingly beautiful concept. it's such a horrifying fate. it's about mortality and the traitor that is memory and about love. its about the human spirit and a new kind of folklore. all forms of media preservation are a race against the deprecation and physical decomposition of their storage medium. i hope there's a heaven for art.

I love felix i do, but i think the “birthday surprise” was the cruelest thing he could ever do.
If Oliver hadn’t been lying and things at home were as horrible as he said, wrf would he have done?? He wanted to be the hero yes “look at me I reunited my poor ollies family im such a good person” but if his mother had shown up at that door high and unresponsive, can barely stand and treating them w disdain. Or seeing the house looking like some sort of crack den.
To willingly have someone, let alone a close friend, go through all that just to feed your saviour complex is just cruel.
And i really do believe that he was extremely mad abt the “disappointing” outcome, (apart from the obvious) bcos oliver took away his chance to be the hero.

in light of tedtrent becoming so real, im also jumping on the tedtrent epilogue 😊
there's just no way ted wouldn't keep in touch with the others (and have weekly zoom meetings just like in the christmas special) and I just love the thought of the whole team having reunions once in a while.
and going back to trent's arc in s3, the sunflowers conversation, "And your daughter?" "She's never been happier." I think it could go the same for ted.. we've never really properly saw how henry felt about his dad being in london, it's always other people that told ted his son misses him, who's to say henry would rather see his dad happy because that in turn would make him happy too? he was there to win the whole thing, right? I just know ted’s story isn’t done yet when he still hasn’t learned to let others take care of him in return and who else to pair him with than the man who blew up his career because a man was nice to him (and also because they were so. so cruel for the fakeout tedbecca scenes for that finale) 🥺
I'm no writer so just pretend these are snapshots of a slow burn fic where ted visits london for their team reunion and slowly realizes that trent has a crush on him and they kiss about it 💛

people on iwtv twt play too much 😭. assad deserves every single award there is, and all the praises for his phenomenal performance in "Don't be afraid, just start the tape" (S2E5). what a gem of an actor, he really bodies the role and delivered mesmerizing scene after scene. the cadence, body language, facial expressions, and terrifying portrayal of an ancient vampire with unprocessed rage, contempt, and yearning all at once.
he will always be famous, and the episode will go down as one of the best on tv ever.

Something I love about Javey is making them both think the other is out of their league. They both are convinced they couldn't possibly deserve one another and yet they're so in love.
Jack thinks Davey is smart and more sophisticated than him and has a real family so why would he want " a mess" like him when he could get so much better.
Davey thinks Jack is so confident and cool (and hot) and he admires how all the newsies easily listen to him. Jack is a natural born leader and has this energy to him that everyone likes. Davey can't imagine what its like to be like that and he thinks Jack would never want someone awkward like him.
And yet they match each other so perfectly and are exactly what the other needed. Davey needed to learn how to truly be himself and let go, hang out with the other newsies and become less uptight. Jack needed someone like Davey to understand him and talk to him logically and bring him down to earth instead of daydream land.

I might be misremembering but it's crazy that real lestat (that we know of) never refers to claudia as "ours", only ever refers to her as Louis' daughter. But dreamstat (AKA louis' imagined version of lestat) refers to her as 'our daughter'. This version of Lestat is both a taunting presence and also a comforting one and in this moment it's clear he's supposed to be comforting- meaning I think that Louis longed to hear Lestat take paternal ownership of Claudia the same way Lestat longed to hear Louis say I love you. Like a "this is it. We're a family. You're my husband and the father of our daughter"
A lot of notable things happened in this episode obviously but this is the one thing I can comprehend at this very moment

I’m gonna be really honest here for a second
Assassin’s Creed Syndicate fight club is what made me realize I’m bisexual.
I still don’t know where I land under the ace/aro umbrella, but I know that seeing Jacob and Evie beat the shit out of people made me feel something. Not a horny something but definitely something.
To this day I still brace the shit controls in that game and replay the fight clubs just to remember my het ending “oh no they’re hot” moment
