[Task force 141 × Gen Z! Reader/ General headcanons] [p4]

A/N; I thought the hyperfixation was over but surprise it is not LMAO, sorry for the long wait, mentally I was fucked and just tired/burnt out

Ghost is the one who usually trains the recruits, which means he needs to demonstrate moves on. That's where you come in. You can see the recruits tension filled bodies stare at your own bc what the fuck you do mean this 6'4 man is gonna use a finishing move on you.

You crack jokes that Ghost would never hurt a fly before you're flipped on your ass and Ghost is leaning his entire weight on you.

They use you as weights, mainly Soap. It is not an odd occurrence for recruits on base to see you sit on Soaps back while he does push-ups. You usually will be scrolling on your phone on tiktok and Laswell just sighs and takes a picture of yall to show to her wife.

Ghost uses you as a barbell basically and you enjoy being manhandled so you're just happy to be there.

Soap likes to play fight, he will playfully hit your sides and will tickle you while you run around desperately trying to evade his grasps. The only time he stops really is when either Price steps in or when Ghost fucking clothe lines him and he falls on his face. Soap sees you giggling behind Ghosts body and rolls his eyes.

All the guys have you on social media, even Ghost though he notably has no pfp, a generic user, only follows you. He is the first one to like any of your posts and makes appearances on your account and no one knows it's him for sure.

Soap takes your phone and scrolls thru your folder of memes, sending whichever ones he particular enjoys to himself. He really likes reaction images and uses them with everyone and people just ignore it and continue on texting like he didn't just send a picture of a woman crying.

You like to send ghost references you're sure he will not understand and he feels his blood pressure rise every day.

When they learn if you can't, you know, drive for the first time is also a real good time. Ghost is in the back, a bullet in his forearm, Price shouting at you to floor it and by God you fucking floor it so hard Ghost slams his head into the wall of the car and passes out. Price screams that you should've been fucking taught this in training but you shrug your shoulders, knuckles whitened as you shakily haul ass to evac.

It's a running joke that Alejandro and Rudy want you on their team, they playfully try and make negotiations

"Come on, she would be happier with us, no?"

Alejandro has a hand placed on the small of your back, inching you closer to his side in the booth of some random bar yall were dragged too. You're blushing and sputtering bc oh wow two more very attractive men are asking to take you an-

"I agree with Colonel, we can work something out." Then Rudy goes and kisses your hand and Ghost feels his eye twitch and Soap is stanced the fuck up immediately, leaning over and almost pulling across the table.

"Yea no, you two can fuck off with that shit." He grumbles, squeezing his arms around your waist. If he was a dog his hackles would be raised and his teeth bared.

Rudy can't help but lean in and whisper to Alejandro:

"Realmente deberías dejar de bromear con ellos así" (you should really stop joking with them like that)

Alejandro turns and looks dead into Rudy's eyes and hits him with

"¿Quién dijo que estaba bromeando?" (Who said I was joking?)

"Colonel, with all due respect stop fucking with my men, they're gonna pop a bloody blood vessel."

Gaz and you go to cat cafes fairly often!! He finds it extremely relaxing and he often goes whenever he goes on leave with you. No he doesn't correct the batista who thinks yall are married. He says it's because of a discount (there is none).

Price simply loves when you come visit and spend time with him in the city, walking arm and arm while he hums and listens to you ramble. Whether it be about your hyperfixations, you venting or ranting, he's there listening while watching you intently.

Price walks with you inwards of the sidewalk, do not try and move bc he will glare at you.

Valeria, oh she likes you, one bc you're a cute little thing. But mostly because she knows it'll get under everyone's skin if she even makes a mention of taking you. It especially pisses Alejandro off so she makes sure she calls you princess and blows you a kiss when they close the container door on her.

Ghost likes to come up behind you and pulls on the elastics of your holsters really far and let's them slap against your skin to see you whine and whimper. It never fails to make him laugh.

Ghost will not hesitate to beat the shit out of someone who tries to do it to you though, esp a random recruit.

Soap likes to carry you around on his back, it isn't a strange thing but he just genuinely loves the feeling of you against him. He doesn't care if you think you're 'too big', he's gonna pick you up so be quiet and let him hold you.

You've stolen multiple things of their items, not even on purpose but they left it in your room and now it's yours.

You have a skull balaclava, Ghost once came in and said it was too small for him and threw it on your bed and left. He will feel his heart tighten in his chest if you wear it outside of base.

You have a shit ton of Soap's muscle shirts, he is not upset but he will smile so soft when he sees you walk around in it in the early morning, your hair a mess and still a bit of drool on your lips.

Gaz buys you your own hats in attempt for you to stop taking his. It doesn't help. He flicks the brim and always has some cheeky remark about it but he doesn't mind.

You have one of Prices' lighters that you stim with on or off mission. He doesn't even realize until one day you have a lighter with the England flag on it and you're playing with it bc you're anxious. He doesn't say anything though.

a tale of two (concert) halves... (storytime!)

I've made it clear over the past few updates that my real life struggles have really backed us into a corner. If the first half of 2024 was on hard difficulty, the second half has so far been on brutal. Personal relationships are falling apart, our physical health has been going through hell, and our finances are struggling to keep up with ever increasing debts. As much as I am a man of faith, I do struggle with maintaining such devout trust on the daily, because I am afraid of the worst.

But even during these tough times, it's comforting to know I won't be left for dead, and I can still find enjoyment in them.

Not gonna lie, I thought I would never attend a concert this year. IVE was coming back after a little over a year, but I didn't have money for it (and is something I still struggle to move on from). ITZY was coming back less than eight months when I saw them, but no Lia, and the ticket selling was insanely early (fuck you Live Nation). The only other girl group I think came here was fromis_9, which I still would love to see, but that was for a festival, so the setlist was extremely limited—and it was during finals week, so that was not gonna happen. There's just been an overall downturn of concerts compared to last year, so whether or not this is a good thing, you decide. (Seriously, no aespa, no (G)I-DLE, no NMIXX, etc.)

However—here comes Red Velvet, one of the holy trinity of 3rd gen girl groups (TwicePinkVelvet), celebrating their 10th anniversary with an Asia tour. By some miracle, I got a stimulus check two months ahead of my birthday, and yet it was still a hard decision, because I wasn't sure if other girl groups would also tour near the end of the year. Looking at what's to come for the last quarter of the year, I highly doubt it and 2025 is sure to be stacked, so it all paid off in retrospect.

It was a completely different experience than the first two outings. For one, it was fucking standing floor over seated, so I knew my body would be put through the torture rack. Second was the unpredictability of where I would end up—thankfully it wasn't first come first serve where I would be forced to camp early (which by the way, concert campers are disgusting and should be arrested). Still, my positioning would depend on my queuing number (which in itself was dependent on when you would buy your ticket, and obviously unless you got into the site as soon as it loaded up, the earlier), and while it wasn't completely shit—it still meant that a majority would get their preferred spot over mines.

Cut to the actual concert day and it was a tale of two halves. The first was the pre-concert, which wasn't all bad at the start—but then there was the queuing before entering the venue. I could have easily waited and taken my sweet time exploring and doing other shit, but I was pressured to queue early out of fear of not getting a good spot. I forgot that since it was queuing numbers, they would rearrange the line anyway, so I never really had a chance lmao. I really shot myself in the foot quite literally by adding an extra two hours standing around.

Everyone in VIP was given a bonus member card, and I didn't end up getting my bias. I tried bartering with other fans, but I absolutely failed. To add insult to injury, everyone else were able to trade and/or get theirs, so that fucking sucks.

It was also the first time I was forced to wear some kind of noise control for my ears. Didn't really have earplugs but Airpods were certainly a nice alternative. Fucking hell—this was the loudest of the three crowds I've ever been a part of, and it doesn't help that the audience would screech and shout out of tune. It was so goddamn annoying. Then you get to the ments/speeches, and they would just fucking bark and make monkey noises while the members were talking, and after performances. I counted a total of 12-14 times this happened throughout, and it never got any better. If the members weren't encouraging the audience, I'd probably have socked someone in the nose out of annoyance at some point.

As for the overall concert itself, I had a blast! I'm not that familiar with Red Velvet's colorful discography, but they performed most of their hits and title tracks (ripperoni Russian Roulette and Chill Kill). Not only that, but the set ran for almost 3 hours (2 hours 50 minutes as they did start like 10 minutes past schedule), and the energy persisted all throughout. Wendy was constantly flaunting her vocals, but Joy. Joy was absolutely fucking insane. Also, the fucking Zimzalabim encore is something everyone needs to experience once in their lifetime.

I wish I could say the pain was all worth it—but of course, life being life, it decides to fuck with me one more fucking time with the middle finger. After the show ended, we were all told to stay in our spots for the send-off event as everyone else were escorted out and the raffle winners from lower seating tiers were pulled in. We waited for 40 minutes, and then the members come out. It should be a cool moment! Except they were led by staff straight to the extended stage for a bit and then they'd get off, completely neglecting the sides, where me and a few others were. They would eventually go around the venue, but by the time we realized what has happening, it was too late—we never got to see them up close properly.

I'll be honest, while I don't feel as bothered thinking about it a few days on, when it happened, it almost ruined the entire experience for me. The organizers/staff had misdirected us and didn't organize properly, so some of us got a lesser experience than those who won the raffle, which is worse for us since we paid more. The send-off treatment here was way—way worse than in Bangkok and Jakarta, and it fucking pisses me off. We can't have shit in this country. I don't blame the girls for it; they were just following instructions and they had a flight to catch shortly after (not to mention they were tired as fuck). Still, the fact I paid so much for that underwhelming send-off experience just reinforces my opinion that hi-touches are simply better. At least everyone gets a fair shot, even if it was very brief. You can't win them all, I guess. I also do believe that it was bound to happen, the first two experiences were near-perfect and flawless in execution, so something had to give to bring me back down to earth.

Nevertheless, even if for just a few hours, it's nice to find some comfort and enjoyment despite the world around me crumbling down. To think that they're 10 years on and still as active as their younger contemporaries in K-pop is astounding. I can see why they're among the most beloved girl groups ever; there's only a handful with equal the talent and discography to match. This was also my first outing with a new camera, and when it was hitting, the shots were fucking hitting.

I really wish Bamboleo was part of the set tho.

For the fewest words category we have this flashfic I wrote after being BOMBARDED with pictures of Ewan's hands and I LOVED how it turned out!!!! Plus: my favourite SW writer commented on it and I still can't believe it happened.

Next: fewest subscriptions. Possibly the fic I liked the most writing and DRAINED ME in the best possible way. It's written as a sort of inner dialogue and man, I love writing crazy shit from Vader's pov. He's so fucked up and broken and full of contradictions. Okay, sorry for more. But you know, it is funny to me how older gens say that millennials (and zoomers too bc they don’t seem to know the difference and tbh neither do we half the time apparently*) are perpetually stunted adult children or whatever when it feels like we’re the first generations to be more aware of how generational trauma has affected our entire families and are intentionally more careful with our decisions about marriage/children/dealing with our own trauma/etc. I don’t want to paint every generation or person with a brush, but idk. Like. I grew up with Gen X parents who got married and had me young and had literally no emotional regulation/would tantrum at the smallest things (which…they’ve gotten better about), yet they would go on and on about the entitlement of my generation and everything. I feel like I have more empathy for older gens with less choices (especially for the women and minorities of those gens), but I still don’t really get how people just kind of walked through life not giving certain things any thought. Like people who would beat their children and think nothing of it or blindly adhered to beauty standards that made no sense or felt like requirements to exist. I know societal pressure sucks but. I also don’t get it, and I do think that in some ways we are more easily able to question disparities now.

On another note, I hate online warring stuff between Gen Z and Millenials (literally never experienced it irl). Apart from my own generation, I feel like Gen Z is the only other generation I feel understands me in a similar way because we both grew up as “digital natives” or whatever the term is, but also feels like we both had a balance with more regular life stuff too before being online 24/7 became completely inescapable. Idk I feel like there is more shared there and they get it if I talk about x thing vs trying to talk about x thing to the generations who didn’t grow up online lol. There are more overlapping touchpoints and interests. Not to sound like old man, but I do wonder what it’s going to be like for Gen Alpha as they get older. It sounds like kids in schools have a much harder time now with attention spans and behavior and I wonder if there will be a kind of pendulum swing when they get older that makes them want to pull back from being exposed to so much technology or if it will just keep going like it has been. It’s weird. And I know in practice kids and teens really are kind of always kids and teens, but can we deny that having tech everywhere hasn’t changed things somehow? Idk.

Anyway. Going to be an interesting day someday when all of the people who lived their lives pre-widespread Internet are no longer around and the rest of us are ancient relics of the past reminiscing about neopets or spotify wrapped or whatever lol.

*I kind of made this remark bc going back to work I realized that to a certain point I can’t tell ages well at all, and neither can my coworkers, apparently. I work with lot of people ages 23-45 and the people I thought were closer to my age tended to be mid-twenties and then three different times those same people thought I was 24-25 (which I’m not trying to humble brag about bc idc and there’s nothing wrong with getting older, but I think it’s more that I just sound and act in a way people don’t usually expect or something and less that I look younger or whatever. Maybe it’s also bc a lot of us spend a lot more time inside or wearing more sunscreen or. Idk man. I’ve heard people are showing fewer signs of “premature aging” bc of things like that. Put that in quotes bc again, aging is fine and normal). Then there is a lady in her late 40s I thought was early thirties bc she just came off as youthful or something. When someone told me she was almost 50 I was like huh wuh. So. Just saying I do get why people don’t know the difference lmao.

Some end up getting fleshed out more than others, and we keep jumping back and forth between them (though we seem to both be VERY into the Terror Fang au lately lmao) 

The first and the probably most fleshed-out (in my mind) au is the Baffin Bay Museum and Aquarium AU (aka a Modern AU- think like the vibes of like the life is strange series but without the supernatural phenomena). In our little fictionalized costal nova scotia town of Baffin Bay, Francis Crozier is the newly promoted director of the museum, who oversees all departments after the recent and sudden retirement of former director John Franklin, but with the museum being underfunded, understaffed, and with low visitation, the stress of the job begins to get to him, on top of pressure from the local inuit community for historical/ecological outreach that they weren’t given under prior leadership, and a particularly nasty break up with Sofia Cracroft (who happens to be on the board of directors, who effectively pulled out upon Franklin’s retirement, leaving Francis with the burdens of keeping the museum running- but facing closure due to this sudden change). Despite his stressors and increasing alcohol consumption, a romance blooms between him and a member of the aquarium staff; Genevieve Sinclair (aka: OUR GIRL LADY TERROR), who cares for the seals in the aquarium. Much of this au is taking a lot of the themes from The Terror and throwing them into a more modern setting, and similarly finding ways to overcome them (and also for the Francis/Lady Terror side of things, discussing problems of modernity and addiction recovery and the way that effects perspectives and relationships- because I have studied the subject intimately and it’s one of those things about Crozier that made me fall in love with him and respect him like a whole bunch and I just think transferring that to a modern setting is a potent subject for lady terror to be involved in). Features include: Historical Ship Tours, museum politics, wildlife conservation and rehabilitation (both of animals and people), Frazzled grad student Jopson who is just trying to get his degree, nepo baby fitzjames, Blanky (running the historical ship attraction), his wife Esther (who owns the local favorite Cairn Diner, which all the staff frequent) and their two nightmarish twins. College besties Silna, Gen, and Amelia (who they take on as a promotional photographer and social media manager). College Buddies Francis, Blanky and James Ross (who all have matching tattos). Francis falling in love in rehab, Trauma from The Troubles, Francis in leather and jean jackets with patches about eating pussy that he wears while riding his motorcycle (literally this is what this au started from), neptune love, and just a whole lot more (literally there’s so much to this au Cherry I hope I got it right feel free to elaborate). 

An offshoot of this au (constructed just last week) is the science research/selkie AU, in which fitzjames and a team of scientists (including lady terror) travel up north to do research on seal behavior only to make a shocking discovery: a man living solitarily up there with a mysterious seal fur coat that he keeps on his person for survival. Little does he know that there is another like him on this same expedition, and a kinship that is formed between them. (this one definitely hasn’t been as fleshed out as others but Cherry and I are working on it. All I know at this point is cute selkie courtship swimming and fucking on their coats out on the ice in the moonlight and thats it. Because thats the kind of horny bitch that I am). 

Next up is the newly dubbed Terror Fang AU (aka: Vampires+. Think The Little Vampire meets Interview meets Dracula meets a whole bunch of other more niche mythical creatures that don’t often get a nod in a multiple mythical creatures universe- let alone with vampires). The story primarily centers around Amelia Dale (Cherry’s OC), a human painter, who travels to an island off the coast of England looking for employment, and when lost in a storm stumbles upon a castle belonging to Francis and Lady Terror (vampires both), who absolutely insist not only that she stay the night and wait out the storm, but to commission her to paint a new portrait for them in exchange for free housing and an extremely generous patronage. Amelia agrees, of course, but learns very quickly that not all in this grand house is as it seems, and that this vampiric lovers’ nest she’s fallen into is not as monstrous as she’s been led to believe (and, in fact, her presence brings out the best of her host’s humanity, unfortunately to great consequence). Features include: thousand year old once-celtic warrior Francis, Lady Terror with Witch Trial Trauma, intricate vampire wedding rituals, Brownie Butler Jopson, Fawn Blanky (the Groundskeeper), Kelpie Little, werebear woodsman Collins, intrepid experimental mythological creature doctor Goodsir, Selkie Silna, a fucking elitist Vampire Council to which Franklin, JFJ, Sofia and Ross belong, and van-helsing type (but low-key vampire wannabe) Hickey. (this one is easily becoming a favorite and in fact I am attempting to build their castle in The Sims. it’s nuts. I love them.)

Then there’s the western AU, taking place in a smart little upstart of a town called Terror Creek (think like Deadwood meets red dead redemption meets ravenous). Francis is the local sheriff, along with deputees Little, Hodgeson, Jopson, and Fitzjames of course, and Lady Terror is an entrepreneur who was sent by her father to oversee the construction of the railroad through the town (which she by proxy of her father owns). As a shy love blooms between them, dark deeds begin to occur in the surrounding woods, which they will be forced to contend with and investigate in order to successfully establish this township. Features include: Francis respecting whores but also being too lovesick to actually sleep with them, Tailor Amelia (who unfortunately has had to mend Lady Terror’s shifts multiple times and it’s all Francis’ fault). Cute cowboy antics. 

The final AU is one that technically began most of my endeavors with Lady Terror, but which the story has outgrown. Based on 1899 mostly (because I had watched that not too long before the Terror got me in a chokehold), but also with some very Ridley Scott elements, it follows the story of The Terror, but in space with a matrix-y bent in which the crew is trapped in a simulation, destined to repeat until a certain solution is reached (in which, all historical trappings remain). And in this one, the twist was that upon waking from the time loop via his survival, Francis discovers that Lady Terror is his ship’s AI who helped him lock everyone into stasis to spare them from an alien creature that has infiltrated the ship (and actually, this is where the Lady Terror nickname came from- as she is a literal representation of the ship itself, but has since taken on a whole new meaning). Features include: Building a fully functional body using the ship’s 3d printer so they can continue to be lovers when they’re not in the simulation, time loop shenanigans, falling in love every time, spacer general JFJ, and much more.

And I think that about covers the major ones. We HAVE dipped our toes into a pacific rim kinda AU as well but I've been warned on pain of death not to get too deep bc we have too many already. will actual fic for these see the light of day? who knows. but they are very fun. much to think about.

My funny little OCs for Champion (and also a canon character I pulled to make the antagonist). Say hi to the Third Division Scars!

Ebiwara is an actual Scar that you see for like...half a second in the World Domination Arc and, sure, the wiki says that he is a dude but it's my world here and I decided I wanted to have someone who uses they/them. (Also he doesn't have any kind of canon specialty so I made one up lol. You can see me lifting from ATLA here.) Plus I realized halfway through that Ebiwara's Third has one (1) man and that was funny to me lmao. "I don't care about Ishiguro's little den of perverts and freaks!" They say, unaware of the irony.

Tsūren was the first I developed and, as a pattern you'll see going on with all the Third, I kinda patched together her name. Hers is a combo of "pleasure" and "pain" because she's a mean fucking bitch and also her aura is bruising and raw meat. Her specialty (cut off the page) is telekinesis used as restraints and to pull limbs past the breaking point. She likes causing pain. She looks cheery and sweet, sure, but she isn't and that's the point lol.

Seiteki was the second (alongside Zenkishi) because I thought "what if someone could use their aura like a taser?" and then i spelled it wrong on the page. She's fun coz she's a little punk and she likes getting into fights. Hence her hand-to-hand combat style and her frustration when someone isn't "fun". Unseen here is that she has dental piercings, a fact that, when I shared it with my friend, got an "eugh". Her name is a combination of "energy" and "accurate".

Zenkishi (once referred to as a "slenderman looking ass") was a little more of a joke than the rest of the Third. Because he wore the mask and suit, I decided he was just so boring and plain to look at that the suit/mask combo was an attempt to stand out among his peers. It didn't work because he's just...there a lot of the times, but it's a funny attempt. My friend is the one who called him a "D-list terrorist" lmao. His whole deal is "what if Mukai's skill but instead of puppets it's people" and then I made his aura beige lmao. His name is "former" and "dirt".

Kosa is the one whose design I plan on reusing coz I like her whole vibe (her vibe being gaslight girlboss). Her power was to kinda mirror Muto from the Seventh Division as the psychic who manipulates people into joining them. But while Muto has his illusions, Kosa has something more insidious: she can change one memory you have of a single moment, influencing your emotions at the time to change how you feel at the present. That's why her aura is the impossible colors one (stygian blue, hyper orange, magenta). She's unassuming until you get caught by her. Her name is "grit/sand" and "liar"

How do you think JJ’s character arc would’ve played out if they hadn’t written AJ’s pregnancy into the show? (no pressure to answer this quickly, I just like hearing your thoughts on CM things!)

Thank you!! I honestly think that Will wouldn't have come back. We know the only reason he did was because AJ wanted JJ to have a man in her life while she was pregnant (poor woman was still breaking free of Mormonism). Even when they're together, he's in like one episode a season.

I think JJ would have become Unit Chief tbh It makes sense! She picks the cases, communicates with locals, she's the face of the team on tv, and she picks up profiling during the course of the show. She doesn't really even need profiling to be Unit Chief. The team respects her, she trusts them to do her job, and she could have stayed in an administrative role.

The show doesn't put romantic storylines in the forefront really, right? Like there's the hotch/haley thing early on, Garcia/Kevin which only exists occasionally haha, JJ/Will which is practically nothing, and then random things with Reid and Derek/Savannah, etc.

I think that (/gen) Jemily would have happened in like season 4/5 and Doyle would have been a big drama for them and all of that. JJ would be Unit Chief, Emily would be like a team mentor alongside Rossi, and that's it. Either that, or she'd have the occasional date and nothing more lol

I do like that JJ is a mother, though. She struggles with having a family just like Hotch and I like that we get it from both perspectives. The fandom did her dirty, but it's interesting to see a mother with a dangerous job and PTSD and see her struggle to do both. JJ also has like no interest in being a wife or a mother and I like her journey toward being comfortable with those things. I don't think she's ever actually that invested, though lmao

surrounding my history with writing: i started writing in middle school! yk those really bad 'one-shots' with multiple fandoms? i did that kind of writing, each chapter was like 500 words max lmao eventually, i couldn't really keep up with it (i think that's how i burned out in the first place). i got into creating art and OCs after wattpad but stopped writing for nearly 4-5 years until the pandemic started. a bunch of my past english teachers supported my pursuit of writing little stories, but now i write for fun and to expand more on my writing skills.

surrounding my history with fanfics: i've always enjoyed "x reader" fics, idk it's been a comfort thing for me for years (character x character is fine too but sometimes the content written for the ships can tend to get a little too boring for me, this doesn't mean i no longer enjoy them however!). i like when the readers are actually smart and easy to put yourself into, so i try to implement that into my reader fics. with the yandere trope, it's one of my comfort tropes for me of recent, mostly because i like the idea of someone being so dedicated and infatuated with you specifically. however, i do not condone or attempt practicing any of the actions similar and/or relating to it (like nonconsensual practices, stalking, kidnapping, extreme peer pressure, murder, etc etc). this is not a reflection of the person i am or what i believe in. it's honestly an interesting topic to write about in a psychological standpoint, and the community has been pretty kind + welcoming so far.

surrounding my history with art: i always liked drawing even as a kid, but i never seriously started until late 8th grade to early hs freshman. i started with little doodles of cat heads on printer paper because i'm (still) in the warrior cat fandom, and then tried my hand at drawing people the more i drew. i was really horrible, like really bad lol but during my hs years, i drew almost nearly every single day i was in class, and my art style had fluctuated and developed throughout those years. in my sophomore year, i joined my first art class, painting 1. in both my junior and senior year, i joined ap studio art. in my senior year, i won 1st place in an art competition and when i say that i was so happy to prove to my parents that i was good at art, i was very happy. idk if this counts too but my ap studio art score was a 4, the topic was a man's feelings in a romantic relationship turning toxic, the breakup, and the recovery (REALLY CORNY, i know i should've done something more personal to myself, but i think i didn't want my art teacher to be concerned about my mental health LMFAO). although i am not pursing art as a main career, i still heavily enjoy creating ocs/comics and small pieces whenever i can.

Hope you’re having a good day - mines been pretty shit tbh so if the tone of this is dumb I’m sorry and it’s also very long and rambling so feel free to ignore but I’m just kind of shocked to see you defend being bdsm (aka being against the sexualisation of abuse and violence particularly against women)?

Like ‘what a man does in the privacy of his own home is his own business’ has always been peoples response to mens abuse. I just don’t understand how is it not incredibly fucked to get off on abuse? How is the physical damage done when strangling/beating/hurting someone in one of the millions of ways people (men) hurt each other (women) different when done consensually? If my boyfriend hits me during sex why is it a big deal if he does it during an argument if he didn’t even hit me as hard during the argument as he did in bed? What if he strangled me in bed (something that could kill me and is one of the biggest indicators that a man will kill you) then hitting me isn’t actually that bad in comparison considering the level of harm. What is the difference between ‘after care’ and bringing your girlfriend flowers after hitting her? How does it not create the same trauma bond? A lot of people into bdsm make it very clear that they are mentally unwell (not judging, I am too just different poor coping mechanisms) and I just don’t see how being a masochist different from self harm. How is bdsm not the biggest example of rape culture? How can you recognise the patriarchy’s influence on so many womens choices but not the choice to want to submit sexuality? How are teen girls supposed to cope with their boyfriends literally wanting to beat and rape them but all the adult sources around them are telling them thats totally normal and not dangerous they just need to consent? Because teenage girls are amazing at enforcing their boundaries and totally don’t give in to peer pressure or do things they don’t want to do for male approval. How are you meant to break up with a man who you know enjoys and is capable of beating and raping you?

TLDR : I’m just trying to understand your perspective because it seems very contradictory to your other views like being against rape, violence against women, anti racist, anti incest ect. just everything that bdsm sexualises and normalises

I completely agree with you in that societally speaking, BDSM is constantly used to excuse violence against women and it's really fucked up to get off on hurting others, and any man that says they're into BDSM on principle should likely be in jail.

That said, I also think that in the context of consensual romantic sexual relationships between adults, it's possible to enjoy certain things on occasion that aren't super vanilla on principle. And, I'm not really talking about hookups here, I'm talking long-term relationships with people you trust lol. I'm also not giving teenagers sex advice and I think "blowjobs are empowering" feminism that young millennials and Gen Z was raised on did more harm than good to our perceptions of healthy sexuality, but the rumors are true: I, an unmarried adult woman, enjoy sex with people I romantically like and trust as people lmao.

But to clarify, I'm really not a proponent of anything truly extreme, and I'm extremely intentional about setting boundaries and if anybody crosses them, they get blocked and banned for life. I'm generally cool with trying sex positions, but both parties always have veto privileges if something is painful or uncomfortable or simply not enjoyable. And personally, anything involving metal, spanking or hitting, choking, etc. are all total no-gos for me and I will never be swayed on that. A light hand on the neck is not remotely the same thing as asphyxiation, and to even get to that point, I need to trust the guy.

And, I would never trust let alone fuck a guy who can't get off without that stuff! My point is that it's okay to try things out, whether that's basic kink or weird sex positions that you fall out of and laugh at yourselves, not what you do every single time you have sex. If a guy whines about women being boring in bed or "vanilla," kick the man to the curb lmao.

All that said, I would never tell women they're bad people if they are against stuff I'm personally comfortable with. My point is just that sex isn't like a cut and dry thing, and it's really healthy to communicate and discuss what you like and don't like with your partner.
