Plan 99-Aftermath

Echo stares at the broken goggles in his hand, tears pricking at his eyes as he squeezes his hand into a fist. His Tech is gone. His Tech. His Cyare… he’s just gone. Echo’s hand bleeds as it gets cut by one of the pieces of glass. Omega is gone, taken just like that. The empire has her, and they can’t even track where she’s gone. They are her brothers! They are her fathers!! They should be able to save her! They should have been able to save Tech! But they didn’t. They couldn’t. They failed them both.

Echo hears someone sit down beside him, and glances over to see Hunter. He sighs and looks back down at the goggles, his blood starting to stain them. “It’s not fair.” He whispers, breaking the silence. Hunter looks at him, seeming to analyze Echo before sighing. “When have our lives ever been fair,  Echo?” He asks softly, gently pulling the goggles out of Echo’s hand and starting to clean the cuts gently with a cloth. He knows his Ori’vod well. Echo growls, and slams his scomp hard against the wheel of the ship. “But why! Why can’t we have one thing go right! What did we do to deserve this!” He yells. “They took Tech! He’s dead!! They have Omega!! I don’t get it!” The tears fall like twin waterfalls down his cheeks as he sits there. He wants to break something, punch someone, ANYTHING to get his anger out. Hunter looks away, tears building in his eyes but he blinks them away. Echo may be older, but right now Hunter will be the oldest, as he always has been. “I don’t know, Echo. We didn’t do anything to deserve this, we just… we just got the short end of the stick.” He whispers, voice sounding sad and weak. “But I can tell you this,” Hunter continues, looking Echo right in the eyes. A fire, bright as the twin suns of Tatooine burn in them. “We will get Omega back, and once we do. The empire will suffer for everything they’ve done to us. For taking our brothers. They will not go unpunished.” His voice is low, strict and angry. He is not willing to lose anymore, anyone can see that. Echo sniffles, wiping furiously at his eyes. He nods, hugging Hunter tight. Hunter rubs Echo’s back, his heart broken both for himself, for Wrecker and for Echo. They’ve all lost everything today. “There’s something else.” Echo whispers, looking up at Hunter. His best friend. “What is it?” Hunter asks, gently cupping the back of Echo’s head and pulling him into a Keldabe, holding back tears. “I'm here for you, always. You’re my best friend, not just my brothers boyfriend.” Echo leans into the Keldabe, just breathing as his eyes slip closed. “I’m pregnant.” He whispers, finally saying it out loud. He opens his eyes and brand new tears pour out as he whimpers. “I… I wanted to tell Tech, but I…I wanted it to be special. I had it all planned out, I was going to give him a gift box with the test in it. I shouldn’t have waited. I know fucking better than to wait when we’re going into battle. There’s never more time. There’s never later. Why the fuck did I wait.” He sobs, heart breaking into a million pieces. Hunters mouth goes dry as he looks at Echo with wide eyes, and his own tears finally fall as he grabs Echo and pulls him tight against himself in a hug. “Oh Echo, I am so so sorry. But it’s not your fault, not at all.” He whiskers, voice shaky and wet. Sobs try to break free from his chest, but Hunter holds them back. “You couldn’t have known, we’ve never… we’ve never lost anyone like this in the bad batch before. Not to death. Techs always gotten out of all trouble. He… He was supposed to come back. I'm here for you, and for the baby. I’m so sorry.” Echo sobs into Hunters chest, letting out all his pent up sadness and angry into his cries. He clings to Hunter‘s armor with his remaining arm. “I j-just want Tech.” He sobs. “I want my Technically.” He uses Tech’s full name. “I know. Oh Echo I know.” Hunter whispers, his own tears still falling. “We all want him.” He says softly, kissing his head gently. How could everything go do wrong? Losing Tech? Losing Omega? It feels like everything was going perfectly. Crosshair was going to be coming home and Everything was going to be perfect again. Now here they are, everyone broken. Echo sobbing in his arms. Wrecker in his bunk crying.  It’s not fair. Not at all. xxx As Hunter holds the sobbing Echo, a spot of frost starts in the darkest corner of the room, spreading outward. I'm sure someone's already brought this up but like. Viktor is still wearing the goddamned Blanket™️ here. Look at the inner part of it. It's red. The outside is sun-bleached and covered in arcane corruption, but that interior is still the SAME COLOR AS THE BLANKET. It has a bit of corruption on it, but at least for me, this is the same blanket. He kept it.

i keep seeing people say "omg Percy and Annabeth are Odysseus and Penelope!!!" and i wholeheartedly agree, but then they shoot themselves in the foot saying Percy is Odysseus and Annabeth is Penelope

I say this with absolutely no disrespect, but what the fuck are you talking about???

Which one of them, Percy or Annabeth, has the fatal flaw hubris, which is the exact reason Odysseus was so fucked (he pride led him to reveal is name to Polyphemus)? Which one of them, Percy or Annabeth, plans for every fight THOROUGHLY and CAREFULLY (I know very well that Percy is battle strategic, but let's be honest, it's a 50/50 chance he'll have a thorough plan that doesn't have a large chunk of impulsiveness and vibes)? Which one of them, Percy or Annabeth, is the literal DAUGHTER of Odysseus's patron and mentor?

We all know Percy would go ape shit if anyone hurt Annabeth, but who did we see ready to fight three random people because they didn't know where her missing boyfriend was? Who did we actually see go ape shit because she couldn't find her boyfriend? Who fell from first-ish glance?

On the other hand, who has the more "fight first, question later" mindset (which, for someone who hates Ares and tolerates Mars, he has a very Spartan like disposition)? Who likes to piss people off to get their attention (granted, that's both a Odysseus and Penelope thing, but I'm referring specifically to Percy sitting on his dad's throne compared to Penelope's "if your not my husband, move the immovable bed rq")?

If Percy and Annabeth are indeed Penelope and Odysseus reincarnations (which i do believe they are lol), Percy is so Penelope and Annabeth is Odysseus.

Assad Zaman on working with Jacob Anderson: "I came in in the last month of filming [Season 1]. We did all of the Dubai scenes in one chunk. So he'd already been there doing Season 1, he lived Louis' life for nine months by then, I think, and he was exhausted living that life, and the night shoots. I think we started talking about it in Dubai. We were kind of like giddy kids, a little bit. We both met each other, and we were like, 'Oh, my God, dude. I'm exhausted, but this is going to be cool, right? How are we gonna do this?' It was kind of freeing, because we didn't have to think about it right then because it hadn't been written yet, but we knew it was coming. And as soon as we sort of built a rapport - he's from Bristol, I'm from Newcastle. We have a lot of similarities in where we come from and stuff. As soon as we realized this is going to be really easy, it was pals straightaway. And so then when we started Season 2, it's just easy. It's just really, really easy working with Jacob, and just being open to try and talk about things without getting too heady. My thing is sometimes I tend to overthink everything, and sort of overanalyze before I do anything. With Jacob, it was nice to not overthink things, just see how we feel in the moment and then let that dictate how the story goes."

i NEEDED to make a doodle of spinarakidabi with some stupid ass post final war designs but they’re wearing wedding dresses and suits. of course i decided to put spinner in a suit, and shigaraki and dabi in wedding dresses. it was supposed to be utterly satire but the more work i put into this the less unserious it seemed. IM PROBABLY MISSING SOME SCARS (maybe on shigaraki and/or spinner but whatever)

ANYWAAAY, SPINNER’S SUIT IS TATTERED CAUSE HE RANDOMLY BODY BULKED. ITS JUST FUNNY!! THEY’RE A DYSFUNCTIONAL ASS THROUPLE!!!!

It was easiest to come up with a design and be delusional with dabi cause he for the most part lived, not so much for shigaraki. probably had something to do with them defeating afo’s quirk factor or whatever of afo that just popped up near the end - let’s say midoriya says something that makes tomura lock in, or he just thinks about spinner, some stupid cliche stuff like that, and that’s why he doesn’t die.
