Tbh i am not surprised that a person who openly talked about having drinking problems since 1d days, because of how crazy 1d worked has been agressive. What surprises me is people being surprised (they never seriously saw drunk person?). But i am also confused about this whole book. Apparently Maya said that that book is not fully bout Liam but compilation about her exes and some of the worst parts are not about him. But recently she said that the book is “ofc about him” so what is true then? Or did she meant it that ofc some parts are about him or that whole book is about him?

I also am not surprised- we've learned so much more about the real stories of things and about the guys' actual lives over the last years, and the story that has unfolded around Liam has been totally consistent throughout if you've been following it, and so the information Maya is telling us is shocking and upsetting but not difficult to believe. I got an anon yesterday saying they were worried about getting similar revelations about the other boys, like "if Liam could be doing this we just don't know, any of them could", and while in a way that's always true I guess, anyone could be doing anything in private like... that doesn't really concern me. Because none of these Liam revelations are coming out of nowhere, there have been many MANY steps along the way leading us here if you've been watching, and he has talked openly about both his mental health struggles and his addiction issues. So to answer that anon... to find out something similar about Louis would in contrast contradict everything we know about him and no I'm not worried about it. Is he probably very irritating, absolutely, but an abuser or a loose cannon, well that news would shock me. But anyway as for the book I don't find it strange that she was nervous when it came out and treading lightly and later decided, fuck it. In the absolutely on point tiktok she dropped today (YES👏GIRL👏FUCKING TELL THEM👏) she even mentions attempts to keep her from publishing the book, presumably by Liam's team, that I am riveted by and cannot WAIT to hear more details about actually- like I said I don't find it at all strange that she was nervous and downplayed it a bit then. But if she says now that it's just about Liam, well, I would say it's been clear from the beginning that the book is their story. Maya herself brought up the parallel of songs being written about stuff and I think it's the same thing; it's true (she was in an abusive relationship that involved certain kinds of events) but maybe not 100% literal (I'm sure details were changed to make the story work, it's not like a word for word timeline of their interactions or whatever).

I truly have no words to describe how angry and upsetting it is to hear that Carina wasn't supposed to be in that beanery scene where Vic is saying goodbye to the team and that Peter had to tell her to come. We know that Carina has never been treated properly since they decided to include her in the show but this is truly at an all time low. This was the last scene of the whole cast together, the last episode of the series, the episode written by the showrunner and she didn't think Carina/Stefania should be included in it? That's so insulting. And this is the same woman who claims they had big plans for Carina in Season 8, giving her a whole completely new storyline for her character? Yeah okay.

If Carina wasn't in that group scene that means we never would have gotten this:

We wouldn't have gotten Carina under the table with the rest of the group, Carina and Maya holding hands or Carina involved in the 3 month time jump at all. Their only scene in the present in the finale would have been the proposal scene and that's how you treat your longest lasting couple of the series? Wow. Really says a lot about how they really felt about Marina especially when you think about all we've learned that Danielle and Stefania specifically spoke up about and pitched to them to make their storyline themselves.

The Time Is Always Now.

I’m angry.

The road to liberation is paved with love for ourselves and our communities. Now is the time to channel your pain, grief, and anger into mobilization. Whether it’s through nurturing your community, creating art, writing, or practicing radical self-care, do it. Do what feeds your soul. Do what brings joy to others. Do what fosters belonging.

Maya Angelou once said, “We put surviving into our poems and into our songs. We put it into our folk tales. We danced surviving in Congo Square in New Orleans and put it in our pots when we cooked pinto beans. We wore surviving on our backs when we clothed ourselves in the colors of the rainbow. We were pulled down so low we could hardly lift our eyes, so we knew, if we wanted to survive, we had better lift our own spirits. So we laughed whenever we got the chance.”

Let her words be a balm for what you’re feeling right now. Just as those before us struggled and endured, we too can survive and prevail. We too have the power to shape our pain into something just as beautiful and enduring. We’ve come so, so far, and yes, this hurts, but don’t let it break you or your spirit. The work continues, and it should radiate peace and love in the face of their fear-mongering and hatred.

Tbh i always felt like if anyone in group has some kind of “anger issues” it would be Zayn and Liam. So thank you for answering and i agree. I only wonder why can’t Maya go to the police? I mean if she has dirt on him, then wouldn’t it better for her to put him in court?

why? why would she want to do that, what would she get from that? Have you SEEN how women who take ANY men to court, but especially famous men, are treated? For what purpose would she put herself through that, to gain literally nothing that she doesn't already have? @homosociallyyours on the other hand just laid the issue to REST IMO with the case closed point of the day: why isn't Liam taking HER to court for libel? You know, like if even a little of this isn't true why isn't his team going after her legally?
