#me #rooney #rooney band #2007 #their band logo font and everything #but i don't think i've ever even listened to one of their albums #i just remember watching some of their music videos on youtube way too often #and playing one of their songs on repeat for days and days and days #and the clearest memory was #(besides a few second memory of a music video that apparently stuck with me for so long)#because i was listening to it so much #i had the sound off at one point #no music or anything playing #but i could still hear it #and i went to turn the volume up or down or something and i was like #?????? it isn't on??? but I CAN HEAR IT?#it was like still playing in my head or something i swear the speaker was on and it wasn't #and then it faded away once i realized it wasn't on and i was like excUSE Me???????#i mean i always have songs stuck in my head but i never heard it in my head so clearly that i thought i was literally listening to it #on speakers #that was the one and only time that has ever happened to me to that extent #i was so confused

But because it means safety.#Because it was something he was denied and the idea of not having control in his life again is unforgivable.#'Happiness' isn't a goal. We are looking at someone still stuck at the bottom of Maslow's hierarchy of needs.#Everything and everyone is a piece in a game. Bonds and friendships are assets. People are dispensable.#He wants to climb for the sake of climbing. He wants praise and recognition because he feels it is deserved. It's all so hollow.#We could go deeper into his psyche on this.#But these are also tags under a comic in which 'evil penis music' is the punchline.

ive been watching scruffys pikmin 4 playthrough (go check it out!!!!)

#specifically referencing ep11 for anyone curious but i dont wanna spoil anything.. youll know it when you see it lol #ive never played pikmin and i already know for a fact id suck ass at it bc i can only do one thing at a time. i have zero dandori #actually i have zero interest in the dandori challenges bc im more focused on the creatures and areas. id be cooked #but its still fascinating to watch how the planning and strategy works in real time and goes so well with exploring #and if youre like me and has shown little interest in pikmin games his videos are a nice warm hug for looking into it #scruffy has a nice voice and explains everything like pointing out which enemies are from prev pikmin games and how they work #and pays special attention to the adaptive music cues which pikmin is known for and its really cool to see it dissected #his other videos also pick apart sound design in other video games i highly recommend his fnaf ones. theyre excellent #scruffy youtube #myart #my art #doodles #pikmin #pikmin 4 #flying pikmin

once again thinking about same train home. about how every other time we see mercy challenged or her worth questioned she comes out swinging (either verbally or with a very literal baseball bat), but this time she shrinks instead. and how seeing that throws swan enough that for a moment they trade roles and swan becomes the impulsive one. important to me

#not just the impulsive one but also the one who is very stubbornly insisting on the other’s worth when they can’t see it themselves #I feel like their insecurities play off each other in a really interesting way bc while swan is clearly not convinced of her general worth #as a human I don’t think she feels any lesser than the rich kids for the different world she inhabits. if anything it’s the opposite bc her #place in the warriors is a point of pride - she can be proud of what she’s part of even if she isn’t proud of herself per se #whereas mercy leans the other way - she knows what she’s worth until she’s hit with the comparison. and for her not being part of the rich #kids’ world hasn’t meant being part of something else instead. the way it has for the warriors #warriors concept album #swercy #warriors musical #mine
