Theriantok is very heavily centered around ableism and fatphobia. Transphobia and racism too but thats a conversation for a different time.
Much of theriantok is based around quadrobics and masks, not that this is a bad thing by itself! But it leaves open little room for people trying to spread information!
The algorithm pushes out people with pretty scenery, good quality, a nice mask, skinny body and very good quads.
This leads younger therians, (who are oft3n actually otherhearted) to only see that side! Only seeing past lives and connections, only seeing skinny bodies doing perfect quads with very palatable feelings.
Animal urges are demonized, doing messy quads is ugly.
Being fat gets you nowhere, your just cringe.
If your delusional in any way they hate you, and say your promoting delusions.
You must be sane, you must be skinny, you must be pretty.
I hate this culture on tiktok, i want to SEE my fellow freaks and creatures, animals who arent fully sane and their therianthropy stems from delusion. Animals who run around in the mud and growl at strangers.
I want animals like me.

Before you go and formulate strong opinions about other's identities, take some time to stop and actually have a conversation with those people. For example:
Don't understand physical therians? Talk to some before deciding you think they're delusional.
Don't understand endo systems? Talk to some before claiming they are fakers.
Don't understand those whose identities are rooted in delusion? Talk to some before believing they're dangerous.
Don't understand berserker shifts? Talk to those who have them before claiming it's mental illness.
Don't understand people who are objectum or have other paraphilias? Talk to some before deciding they are disgusting.
Hate stems from misinformation. If we take the time to understand why others feel the way they do, we can avoid creating the divides that cause so much tension in our communities. We shouldn't jump to conclusions about identities when we haven't heard it straight from the people with those identities themselves. There's no way to understand exactly how someone feels without being them, so the least we can do is listen and not judge.

Sit down and listen cuz I’m gonna be so real rn. This is gonna be a long one. It’s a serious topic but it’s positive I promise.
When I first made this account I was quite unfamiliar with the therian community on tumblr but so far it’s been more than welcoming. In fact, at first I thought maybe it was a bit too welcoming. You see I have never seen a community be so accepting of physical therians (holotheres, physical nonhumans and such) and at first I was a little alarmed because I myself have psychosis and sometimes have delusions that people misunderstand and I always thought I should treat other people’s delusions the same way people treat mine. That is, with disbelief and ridicule.
When I started reading about physical therians instead of being understanding and happy for them I got mad. I was livid. I took the acceptance and love of people like me as an attack and I thought people were invading my experiences as a delusional therian and I realized there was a whole new discussion on here that I haven’t heard of. I decided, maybe if I ignore that part of the community, everything would go back to the way it was before. Because I hated that all my life people have brushed my identity off as a thing to “fix” when all I wanted was… acceptance.
I was reminded of a person, though. Anna Lappalainen, the princess of Kellokoski mental hospital. No matter how much they tried to “fix” her, her delusion of being a princess never went away. And it got me thinking. Why is it that we want to erase mentally ill people’s voices and identities and brush these delusions off as things to “fix”?
Why can’t we just accept these identities as they are? Why do we have to tell people how they can and can’t identify? When you tell a physical therian they’re just a mentally ill human, do you really think you are in the position to say that? Did you really think you fixed something there? What, you think they’re just gonna stop?
There’s also something to be said about the human experience not being what it seems and our identities being more than but also encompassing our physical selves. If someone wants to physically identify as something, it’s not going to hurt you to respect that. Just like you wouldn’t go around calling trans men physically female men, you wouldn’t go calling physical nonhumans something they don’t want to be called.
I’m more than welcoming of physical nonhumans now. Because if I’m not, I would forever ignore a part of myself I need to address. And with that, I also want to come out as a shapeshifter. I know I can physically shapeshift, people say that to me all the time too, and it’s freeing to finally admit that. I’m not insane for this and I hope people will accept that. I’m valid, and so is everyone else with nonhuman/therian/otherkin identities, physical or not.

genuinely don’t get why people hate otherkin and therians so much like bro what did we do to you. “oh but they’re mentally ill” okay so what. i know my shit came about bc of disassociation fucking me up, but why am I a bad person bc of that. “but some people don’t think they’re mentally ill!” again so what. if we say for the sake of argument 100% of people who are otherkin or whatever are mentally ill. people use spirituality to understand and cope with their mental illness all the time. even if every therian and otherkin person was mentally ill- and that’s a big assumption- dealing with that in a spiritual way is a perfectly good coping mechanism for some people and you shouldn’t be a dick about it bc you personally don’t understand. “but they’re delusional!” this still is literally a non issue. delusions are an incredibly common symptom of mental illnesses a lot more people have experienced delusions than you'd think. even if we accept This argument, which is even more of a baseless assumption, having a mental health symptom that’s very common and varied is fine and you can talk about it. “but you shouldn’t encourage delusions!” it is also generally medically advised to not try and debunk a delusion which you would know if you’ve done any research into them bc the whole Thing with delusions is that they’re very much real to the person experiencing them. even if you’re aware they’re untrue while having them you’re still experiencing them in your own perception telling someone that the distress they’re going through is stupid doesn't help you shouldn’t encourage them either but like. it’s pretty universally agreed the best way to deal with delusions as a bystander is to acknowledge that is really what the person is experiencing but reassuring them if they’re distressed and providing support. “i don’t see x” instead of “x isn’t real” that sort of stuff. hating people for delusions they cannot control is literally just thinking someone’s a bad person for being sick. literally even if the baseless claims people made about us were true like… okay, why is us being hypothetically mentally ill a moral failing on our part.

Seems I've angred a couple of people simply by existing and not being enough of a clinical cyanthrope for them. Not that my medical information is anyone's business, but my clinical cyanthropy is confirmed by my psychiatrist. Remember that you dont see my daily suffering, you arent with me 24/7 seeing the pain i experience from my disorders. The never ending sleepless nights spent in fear from terrifying hallucinations and delusions. My inability to function as a normal human because the fact is that im just not one. Just because I include myself in the therian community does not make me any less of a clinical cyanthrope. I find comfort in that community because Ive been apart of it for so long. Just because something doesn't work for you doesn't mean it can't work for me. That's all I have to say on that, my account is a place of peace and happiness that welcomes all nonhumans, delusional or not 🖤
edit: I know it's not just me that has caused this anger with a select few people, but I know that my recent posts about my experiences are apart of it. I truly don't really care, all i have to do is turn my phone off and boom its gone. I am not angry at these people, nor do I wish hate upon them. I hope despite their hate towards me they have a lovely day 🖤

You this is a rant about physical shifting, scroll past and simply do not read if you do not partake in physical shifting, or have delusions of physical shifting. Thank you.
What I find interesting is that us physical shifters have constantly been beat down because some of us can physically shift.
Look I dont like to make arguements or anything, but how is it possible for some people to REPEATEDLY report them shapeshifting into their animal, and swear on their life that they are not lying? Why would they lie about that?
To be creditable means that any sort of lie can ruin so much for so many people. It's just so absurd to lie about, much less teach about if no one has actually shifted.
Physical shifting is completely nonsensical. Most shifters don't even know WHY they shift. There's so much we don't know, and modern science as we know it doesn't fit the standards of shifting. I've seen a lot about it - how you would burn up and die, or no matter which way you look at it, shapeshifting is fatal. But it just. doesnt. make. sense.
We would have to run actual experiments on shapeshifters, and due to the fact that nobody believes we exist, or that we are cringy roleplayers - mix that in with the general fear of getting experimented on by scientists, and you get a whole flurry of confusion, doubt, and overall hatred for both sides from both sides.
And even though we are told, over and over again, that we are humans, wrong, delusional, some of us still shift. I'm working my way towards physical shifting. Many of my friends that I know have shifted, or are also making their way there.
And many people think that we do insane rituals, or tell younger ones and influence them to the point of delusions, but that's simply not true. Many young people come to the community asking for help, and we try our best to help them. (At least the part that I'm in) We encourage them to think, to ponder about themselves and allow themselves the room and freedom to ask as many questions as they like. Nobody is obligated to believe anything, anyone says. We all have a horrible habit of just believing whatever we read on the internet though, please make sure to take everything with a grain of salt and remember not everyrhing will apply to you!
Sure, we've got our fair share of cults, but what group or community doesn't? It's just so tiring hearing that we need "reality checks" and we are mental, etc. If you really hate us that bad, do you hate therians? If you take away the physical shifting aspect, literally we are all just therians at that point. We literally both came from the same group, and were rejected by everyone else (therians, humans, etc.) So we made our own group so we can safely mingle.
I found my bestest, lifelong friend by physical shifting. I wouldn't trade my experiences for the world at this point. And so what if we aren't actually shifting? We are being who we are, and the reason why we don't mingle with the rest of you is because you hate us for being who we are. Heck, I've probably been blocked by many people now, and am known as a physical shifter on some list, somewhere.
Isn't it nice being shunned? There's a reason many of us don't even say if we practice it or not. We have garnered such a horrible reputation and such a bad wrap because of it. But its whatever. Honestly, I would rather not be friends with someone who will block, or hate, or ignore for two dumb words without even knowing my side of the story.
Anyways, that's my rant. Thanks for reading if you did. Feel free to comment and we can chat if you like, or debate if you want. Keep it civil, and be strong yall.

you could mention the exclusion from therian compilations. Especially the positivity ones calling all therians strong/powerful/etc for doing quadrobics. So much therian content is centered around it that it's honestly weird considering how much of the community can't or just doesn't want to.
Also the violent hate (ex. They All Need To Fucking Die) against those with zoophilic intrusive thoughts + any other disorders that would cause such thoughts (I'm not very educated on what would be included in that). Obvs not advocating for normalizing zoophilia here but come on. You don't need to send death threats for something that can't be controlled
Being hateful to people who are nonhuman (especially physically) due to delusions. ("We aren't REALLY animals. We're not like those delusional weirdos who ACTUALLY think they're animals. They're MENTALLY ILL.")
This is what I can think of right now concerning ableism.
I've had enough of everything right now. I'm making a script for a video covering ableism and the nonhuman community (mainly on tiktok and YouTube shorts).
I'm planning on bringing up how people with physical disabilities are isolated in the community along with how zoanthropes are poorly because they're 'scary' (calling them scary actually makes me sick)
Does anyone know any points I should bring up?
(this ended up sparking because I found a disabled therian content creator and the comments only focus on their disability despite it not being relevant to the topic)

I hate Reddit.
I HATE Reddit.
I don't feel safe there.
I used to use Reddit a lot because the therian and alterhuman communities on there felt welcoming and well informed.
That couldn't be farther from the truth.
As a physical nonhuman/holothere, Reddit is extremely uninformed and quite frankly exclusive. Talk of physical therianthropy immediately gets shut down or passed off as delusion. r/Therian is, in my opinion, toxic as fuck.
There's no doubt in my mind that if I were to post about being a holothere and supporting physical therians, I would be at high risk of being banned. Banned BY MY OWN COMMUNITY. If not, I would get called a delusional zoanthrope. Called delusional BY MY OWN COMMUNITY.
So yeah, fuch Reddit. Fuck r/Therian. Fuck the people who act so high and mighty for ignoring and silencing their own community.
PHYSICAL THERIANS WON'T BE SILENCED. We've always existed, and we'll always continue to exist. We won't let our own community drive us out.

Tw for talk of kin fakeclaiming.
As a KFF supporter (who is also otherkin/therian) - the only bad experience I've ever had with someone who was KFF was with someone who also believed all kin is chosen. The only reason it was a bad experience was because, in response to me saying I don't choose my kins, they said I must either be lying or delusional (actual wording was "have a d/a (delusional attachment)", neither of these are bad, but I am solid in my identity and saying something I knew to be true about myself was a delusion... Didn't feel good. And as far as I knew, this guy was against fakeclaiming anyway, so...).
I ended up being a fictive of that character. So, fuck you, Cal, I guess /nay.
But if they know that some people legitimately don't choose their kins, then they're fine. I don't have any problem with KFF, I just want people to know that some people don't choose their kins. The belief that all kin is chosen is what I have a problem with.
(There's a bit more context but uh, basically, he was yelling at me because I have some "problematic" source memories that I can't really control and have decided to stop feeling guilty about because, y'know, can't change em, and I don't support anything that happened. It's just not productive to constantly hate myself/feel guilty over it, especially when it's not like there's anyone in specific I can apologize to. It was bad, yeah, but it was bad on both sides, and I've mostly put it behind me because there's nothing to do about it. And he thought that having those memories and not feeling guilty means I condone that stuff happening irl. And so I was like "dude, I can't choose who I kin, I'm just trying to vibe", and he said I was lying/delusional-)
(sorry this is a rant but I wanted to talk about this somewhere, and share my thoughts on kff as well.)
Thank you for sharing!! I agree that it's shitty to deny that some people don't choose their kin, alterhuman/alterbeing identity, etc. And that's definitely ableist. But the real issue there is people refusing to understand others experience identity differently than they do, which ironically is exactly what anti KFF people are also doing.

on “delusional attachments” (and therianthropy, i suppose)
first off, i want to say i think this term is kind of misleading. these experiences are better known as delusional misidentifications, under the umbrella of grandiose delusions.
secondly, i want to remind anyone reading this to not go out of your way to make fun of a delusional person. ever. this sounds like common sense to me but people are cruel and think it’s funny or something idk
ok, so I see a lot of non psychotic therians, otherkin, etc talk about delusional attachments and people with delusions in general. now naturally i don’t trust non psychotics, so i’m already wary. they sometimes seem to have this idea that people with “da’s” are misinformed about therianthropy and the like. i’m not denying that, i think there definitely is some confusion. the issue arises when these people think that everyone who experiences delusional misidentification is like that.
look, i know some therians still identify as a nonhuman creature. psychologically or spiritually. they may not see a disconnect between them and their theriotype. i know that, and a lot of us do. my point is that it’s different for people who are experiencing psychosis and genuinely believe they are something else because of their psychotic illness.
lastly i think it’s important to say before i forget that not all “da’s” are fictional characters. that’s a relatively new thing i’m seeing to be honest, although not any less “valid” (i hate that word). i’m more familiar with those who believe they are another living human in the flesh or they’ve been kidnapped by aliens or something.
thanks for reading this godawful rant about this godawful subject. don’t forget to take your meds, drink water, bathe, etc..
