I purchase REM a few days ago when I was looking on the Auction House for affordable Harlequin dragons. I was drawn to her because I'm trying to collect Harlequin dragons of every breed and I had yet to get a Snapper. Plus, her colors were very pretty.

She reminded me of some surrealist paintings I'd seen involving checkerboard patterns and I knew I had to have her. The only thing that threw me off were here eyes, which seemed to not match the rest of her palette. However, I happened to try the "Portal Watcher" accent on her, and realized her eye color was actually perfect! I'm happy I was able to dress her using apparel I already had on hand.

It took me a while to find a name for her. I was hoping for one that could bridge the themes of eyes and surrealism, and finally settled on REM (Rapid Eye Movement), the stage of sleep associated with dreaming, since dreams are vital to surrealist art.
