requested | some gender neutral hc for how he starts to wish he was maybe more than just a guard to you 

to put things lightly, minho was the ace of your entire guard

like he was better than anyone …at everything

so originally he was on (your father) the king’s immediate guard

he was nothing but professional and saved the king too many times to count even from like stepping on rocks idk 

when you turned like 17 and had to do more public appearances obv u were in a lot more danger so ur father jumped at having minho reassigned to u as the head of your personal guard “nothing but the best for his child”

the first time you met him… he only nodded or said yes or no to everything u asked him n ur jus like ok not much of a talker that’s not so bad ig haha ʕʘ‿ʘʔ

he was so quiet and “polite” for months despite you constantly trying to get something out of him

ur other guards always tried not to laugh bc if only u knew he had like two friends and was generally a pretty serious guy

but one day there was a festival in your kingdom’s central city so obv you had to make an appearance which u were very excited abt bc you only get to go into town like twice a year and THIS was one of those times

being “of age” and that much closer to taking the throne you might as well have painted a big red target on your head to signal people against the throne

everything was going fine, everyone was having fun and you decided to visit some of the booths and musicians around the square

minho was already suspicious of the situation and tightens the rest of your guard without u evenn rlly noticing but like

just as you turned to show these cute little candies to minho to maybe get a reaction for once -

the second he looks at you, someone moves to grab you but the flash of a knife in his other hand causes minho to jump immediately into action

honestly who knows what rlly happened minho moved so damn fast but the next thing you know, ur in the middle of your whole guard squad

looking through the gaps of their shoulders you see minho pinning down your assailant with a blade against his neck waiting for someone to arrest him even though he rlly wanted to just execute the guy right there 

the festivities were kind of killed for u after that bc you and your family were rushed back home which u might’ve been more sad abt if u werent in so much shock :<

obv minho was the one to escort you back but like all he said was “you’re okay?” and after u dumbly nodded with wide eyes he walked with you but kept a hand around your shoulder

no one really talked after that which wasn’t unusual for him but in his mind he was rlly like 

“?? ok i know its literally my job to protect this family but?? hm whyyyy do i seem to care sm more rnnn??//?” help him sdhskjd

u just looked so shaken up and disappointed and suddenly he was like damn </3 they rlly have no fun in their life and this one time they could was ruined :///

u had to stay inside for weeks after that bc it turns out there was a whole conspiracy to “eliminate” your family line so you waited in safety until the criminals were “taken care of” 

minho had everything triple checked around the castle for your safety and secretly made sure you had extra treats and warm drinks sent to your room sometimes with little notes that he had the cook pretend to have sent because lately he’d heard you had trouble sleeping sometimes he’s shy boy aw

he started to realize how much he had gotten used to your smile and your little jokes and the way you sometimes tripped on the corners of rugs. and he thought maybe it was a good thing you guys didnt have many interactions lately because he was way too attached

you on the other hand, couldnt even rlly complain about having to stay inside so much bc you had everything you needed and- you knew it was for ur safety but- it wassss kind of suffocating at times

u tried sneaking out at first ((just to the garden!!)) which obviously was a bad idea bc it’s impossible to get past minhos fcking hawk eyes lmao

he STILL didnt say anything like he would just follow right behind you

n like u kinda huffed but whatever honestly at least it was just him and not 15 other guards like everyone acted like you needed

plus it was somewhat comforting to have someone so solid around even if he never talked smh

one night you sat near the little pond and tried to calm your mind by watching how the moonlight rippled in the water

you can feel him behind you so u just turn around and look at him ignoring how he was already looking at you

 “would you at least sit with me?”

he kind of hesitates bc …what if someone tried to come up behind you? but with the sad look on your face he cant help but give in and sits on the stone bench at the opposite end of you

it becomes actually somewhat peaceful until you just decide to ask everything you’ve been wondering n u just blurt out-

“would it kill you to talk with me once in a while? i mean, talk like a normal person and not a machine? i dont bite i promise..”

he furrows his brow bc he’s shocked you cared at all and also he doesnt rlly know how to respond without being like “its not really in my job description to make conversation” but he honestly just thought you were being talkative out of niceties.

 before he could even form a sentence you continued,

“i mean- i’m always trying to get your attention. i dont get to meet many people for obvious reasons but my guards are the closest people to me-literally, and i dont want there to be a big gap between us just because of my status..”

he cuts you off before you ramble yourself to death 

“i didn’t know you were this troubled by it… i just take my job very seriously and i dont want to risk anyone’s safety for the sake of conversation”

u almost roll ur eyes but not wanting to be rude ur just like “even at home? i know you’re serious about your duties, believe me, i just… i get lonely.”

smthing inside him literally breakkkssss when you say that like u are such a pure and sweet person that deserves to have all the love and friends and fun in the world so he just gets quiet for a second and looks down

“im sorry.” he said it so softly you almost didnt hear him “i’ll be there for you more- if thats what you need. im essentially in charge of your safety and care and i’ll do anything to fulfill that responsibility.”

ok.

well this was good right? so why did you still feel unsatisfied?

“i dont want to just be a responsibility, cant we just be like friends? or…”

you cut yourself off before talking too much again

you had to admit to yourself you had developed a bit of a liking for minho, not just because he was probably the most handsome person in your kingdom, not even just because he saved your life, but he had really been a pillar of security in your life and you respected his loyalty and ambition.

he was more than admirable and everything you wanted as a standard for your kingdom

sometimes you let your mind wander to him getting on one knee and leading alongside you..

no, now youre getting sidetracked and delusional and he can practically hear the gears turning in your head so he stands up and reaches his hand out for you to grab 

“of course you’re more than a responsibility to me, come on, lets go inside it’s getting cold.’

taking his hand and realizing the conversation was over, you moved to link arms instead  as he walked you all the way to your bedroom door 

u slept a lot better that night 

from that point on you could not get rid of minho 

like everyone was borderline uncomfortable with how jarring his change in attitude was 

like he was constantly behind you looking right over your shoulder or grabbing your arm to stop you from bumping into things

even when he wasnt technically on duty he had taken it upon himself to give you little lessons in archery and even some defensive moves to help you protect yourself in case someone wasnt fast enough to help you 

your tried not to get flustered every time he adjusted your form and the way you could feel his breath behind your ear

or the head pats when he walked you to your room at night

or his hand on your back when you guys would take walks in the garden

honestly it did not take long until one night you were sat next to your pond and after some comfortable small talk you noticed how close his face was to yours

but he noticed you didn’t pull away even as he leaned in closer and finally just kissed you

when he pulled away and saw your eyes still closed and how soft you looked his heart almost exploded

“i didnt mean to make things weird i just,, couldnt help myself, sorry”

his rushed confession pulls you out of your daze and you’re so happy (a little shocked) but you’re quick to reassure him

“it’s ok, i’ve been wanting you to do that for a while …”

he’s jus like “rlly?😳”

obviously this complicates things a lot and you aren’t really sure if you would even be allowed to have a relationship with minho bc of ur position

or if he would get in trouble for breaking the rules of attachment to u

all of this is kind of racing thru both of ur minds as you look at each other but you laugh after u both start talking at the same time

you prod him to go first so he grabs your hands and says like

“look i care about you a lot, and i know we’re not really supposed to be doing this but if i can be by your side … beyond my duties…i would really love to. but if we can’t, i can survive with just being here to protect and serve you in anyway i can”

he’s so honest and genuine and earnest it shocked u a little

even tho you were uncertain abt the situation as well you knew you had grown a little too fond and dependent on minho that you would do anything to make it work

luckily an arranged marriage was not required for you so that wasnt really the issue, but falling in love with someone not at all royal..? it was a daunting thought how the idea would be perceived 

you wouldnt have said anything if you both weren’t completely sure of your feelings;  but you really could not imagine being content or safe spending your life with anyone else so you mustered up the courage to ask the king and queen…

when you brought it up to your parents they looked pretty concerned

minho went on the whole “i’ll do anything to protect them and this kingdom” speech and your father just waved him off and was like

“i know u would …. i’ll allow it because there’s really no one better to represent the kingdom and because i want only the best for my child ;)”

u and minho were literally in shock but just quietly said thank u and left the room

when you had privacy he immediately pulled you in for a kiss (maybe several all over ur face)

you had a lot to figure out and many responsibilities but now you had an amazing person by your side to help you through it :.) <3

thoughts on the wawwa finale? ur like the only blog I follow that posts abt it so I’m curious to hear ur thoughts👀

 I LOVED it. i think it is probably one of the best finales i’ve seen? Here are some assorted thoughts,. SPOILERS obviously:

-With the whole thing taking place in one evening before caitlin moves in a different sort of setting it felt really atmospheric and i think had MAJOR before sunrise vibes in the sense they were constantly racing against the clock to experience the show before dawn when they needed to go home in a really romantic cityscape and a lot of almost direct parallels in terms of some of shots and how they were framed. 

-the way caitlin and fraser’s relationship unfolds is really unique imo. you have a FEW other kisses/encounters they’ve had earlier on in the show and in the episode too and they all just feel sort of  forced and uncomfortable to watch and there’s a distinct. lack of feeling? so when they finally do find each other at the end it feels really really unique and tender like an inevitability, 

- i also love the little hints they drop through the epsiode things are sort of shifting with how they see their relationship, like fraser glancing at their hands at the train station and how intimate and giddy they are singing together on the train. And the real happiness you feel watching those moments feels so different from how you feel when you watch them trying to hang out with other people, like you just desperately want them to go back to each other, so it’s like the way it’s filmed makes you  come to the same realizations the characters do in real time. and the relief and sort of inevitability of like coming home you feel watching their performances (which are OUTSTANDING imo) in that last scene where they take off their hats and  fraser kisses caitlin’s face you realize there was no other ending that would have felt good? and you’re really in that moment

-I also think its so healthy and special and unique to acknowledge that romance, at its best is an extension and just like slightly different expression of friendship, and at their core theyre the same! i’m not sure i’ve ever seen a show (esp about young people, where drama and like....weirdly tension-filled situations and dynamics are glamorized) illustrate how much love should be something comforting and tender  and most of all built off just a really genuine, deep affection that comes first and foremost before any preconceived notion of romance? 

-I LOVE a good gay appropriation of a typical romantic trope, so when it became clear fraser was gonna pull a running to the airport to stop the other person situation it actually felt really meaningful, esp in a show typically SO subverting of norms and devoid off cliches this one felt rly natural and special bc it was so differernt in that way 

-ok so i was talking to my friend who i watch this show with and we’re pretty confident luca was imaginary? like fraser was making him up? from the extent he was like. a manic pixie dream boy extension of fraser who disappeared LITERALLY  THE MOMENT he realized he only wanted to be with cait and because of sort of the general weirdness of his character’s existence in general/the fact he appeared RIGHT AFTER fraser confessed he imagined mark. this plus the fact it was caitlins last night makes it seem natural to some extent he would have regressed into a fantasy world to not deal with the pain of losing someone who was closer to him than anyone else he had ever met? but then at the end  he realized their relationship even if it was fleeting or harper had to leave tomorrow was so much more valuable, and that he’d rather see the view with them for a few minutes than try and self medicate with fantasy. like it felt like a real solidification of the “right here right now” theme of the whole show, in that moment he chose reality even if it was just for a little bit because to actually experience a moment and the way you feel about someone is infinitely more important and worthwhile than escaping into fantasy to protect yourself from any hurt

- i think it’s so fuckin cool and radical how they CELEBRATE exploring and not fully having a word or label to put to cait/harper’s gender identity. like it’s something that’s encouraged and considered healthy they’re figuring it out and it’s not something that is like. tragically infused with ONLY pain or turmoil but also excitement!! and joy!! and joyful free expresssion fuck yeah!!! like  it didn’t feel right or completely natural to them to fall into these different labels and that’s just fine bc it’s joyful to fuckin  just express yourself and be on that journey and a lot of times it doesn’t fit into a binary or standard definition someone else made! i loved that i dont think ive seen that before in a tv show just so casually and naturally and like im full adult and felt rly inspired by it and am so happy kids have the opportunity to also maybe feel seen or like less alone because of it 

- the ending reminded me SO MUCH of the florida project?? like the moment he took off through the ending was just so magical and i really really enjoyed that.

🎥: Do you have any favorite scenes from your hyperfixation?

This is hard bc I have a lot of scenes I like and good scenes keep happening dhdjfn.

There are a lot of stand-outs so far. Among them is definitely like, the confrontation in the car between Blake and Sakio, and the recent social link scene with Blake and Lena on the boat.

Scenes that DON’T involve my own character that I adore include. The scene with Sakio and Camellia at the graveyard. The scene with with Lena and Twitch outside the store. The Sammy’s scene where they read Tango’s letter. Also the scene with Sammy and Masumi bc it was just extremely funny.

🎶: If your hyperfixation has songs / an OST, what is your favorite song from it?

Hm. Well time once again to advertise my Blake playlist, which I’m constantly putting a lot of work and thought into tbh dhjddb, I’ve deleted a fair number of songs from it when I feel they don’t fit, and I’m constantly messing with the order of the songs in relation to Blake’s prospective characters arc, and adding more as I find them fndkfnf I’m always on the lookout.

Also, vane is constantly updating the official playlist with some real bangers, and I appreciate that. Amil’s and Twitch’s themes are real good.

💕: Tell us about one of your favorite characters and why you like them!

Everybody has really really good characters, heck. One thing that strikes me is that even with taking the backseat and having to be on autopilot for several sessions, Camellia still has such a strong and distinct personality, to the point where everyone is on the same page abt them, and I think that’s just really amazing dhdjfjf, that’s how strong an impression they make every time they’re around.

Lena is also so good, she’s like… I think abt her frequently. Sometimes I just start giggling when I think abt Lena, bc she is a national treasure, and I hope she knows I care abt her. She’s great in this way that she’s both very funny/cute and also has a lot of depth and nuance to her arc, and I’m so excited for more.

In the same vein, Sammy. No one character has made me go from giggling to sobbing as fast as this green goat. One moment Sammy is making their cat do a little greeting and I’m rolling on the floor from the cuteness, and then the next second they’re crying and saying they don’t want to be left behind, and then I am also crying. How do they do it. The absolute range.

I also really appreciate Ilse like, particularly in contrast to Blake sometimes, in that Ilse is very smart in a way that’s quiet, self-conscious and careful, while Blake is at times recklessly arrogant, and those two bounce off each other well. Ilse feels mature at times but every time they quietly like, try to be the bigger person, or to not make a problem of themselves, I wanna give them a hug and be like “u deserve to be recognized and acknowledged and u deserve better” dhdjdndjdn. When u have big personalities like Sakio and Lena and Blake in the party there’s something compelling abt Ilse being with them and not asserting themselves as they try to do their best, if that makes sense, and I want them to know I see and appreciate them.

Sakio is also so good and I’ve talked abt this to vane plenty before but holy shit. There’s so much obvious care and love and effort and skill that went into writing a character who is both wrong in many ways, and who many player characters antagonize for good reason, and yet still so incredibly sympathetic, so likable and so compelling. The fact that both Blake and Lena have this relationship with Sakio where they don’t like or trust her, necessarily, but also can’t deal with her not being there, is so fucking good, it creates such powerful conflict in the smallest of ways. Sakio is great bc I love her and I understand her and I appreciate her, but I also wanna yell at her and think she is absolutely horribly wrong about incredibly crucial things and u can FEEL that turmoil in her as well, with her knowing on some level that her actions are going to cause harm, and she’s just waiting and hoping to take the fall, thinking, maybe foolishly, that she can, and that doing so will save everyone else.

I also fucking love so many minor characters we haven’t seen much of so far. I absolutely love Bee and I’ve told vane abt this but she’s just a total icon. Theo is also great, he is the only valid he/him in the entire campaign djdkfj. I love Twitch as well and I’m very excited for some of the interesting stuff in Twitch’s arc that has been hinted at coming to fruition later on, that’s very exciting. I’m also very excited to learn more abt Amil’s whole deal, I appreciate them a lot and I feel bad every time I have to make Blake come pester them fndkfnf. Oh also Prim, how did I forget Prim… what’s going on with her, I have no idea, but she’s a mean lady and my love for mean ladies is well-documented. Also her look is iconic. Also also Puck, the fact that he’s a child and I didn’t know it for several months shocked me to my core but it has made his brand of Shakespearean mischief that much more endearing, and now I seek only to give him snacks and let him sit in his funny garbage throne. I forgot abt Puck earlier so I’ll say he is the second valid he/him in the campaign but frankly I think Puck should take some neopronouns for a spin, he deserves it.

🏳️‍🌈: Do you have any headcanons (LGBT, race, neuro, etc.) that are important to you?

(*throws neurological disorders at Blake*) jdkdnfkf no but jokes aside. I love that this party is like, 5 player characters, 4 of whom use they/them. Just. The raw power of a persona series written by LGBT+ ppl…

I can’t speak on other ppl’s characters too much but as for Blake, they’re a closeted transfem and also too much of a disaster for a coherent sexuality but probably bi. Autistic, and an abuse survivor who experiences paranoid delusions and self-destructive tendencies. Probably more, but specifics are messy, they’re a fucking mess, what’s going on with them, they don’t even know.

Masumi is a binary trans lesbian, also an abuse survivor and manages quite a bit of paranoia of her own, dealing with mood swings and occasional delusions of grandeur, most of it she keeps internally managed which isn’t great for her mental health.

💎: Are there any fun facts or trivia that you would like to share?

Blake’s original characterization was thought up prior to the campaign and was very different from their finished characterization. They lived on a farm with their parents and were pretty quiet and passive before being arrested for a murder they didn’t commit (this part is the same) and their personality was way more quiet, reserved and passive, with the whole celebrity aspect completely absent. They were still going to be the sort of clever leader type character but leaned far more into the background. Their design was also different, with their hair in a low ponytail rather than high and scars on their face from scrapes and accidents working on the farm.

I realized that, even though this character was more of an original idea than Masumi (who I was playing in another campaign at the time and who was characterized somewhat differently as well) I didn’t find myself excited to write them, couldn’t get invested in them in the same way, and as I kept workshopping them I decided to be more self-indulgent and lean more into shamelessly making them an Akechi expy in more ways.

And what resulted from that, ironically, is what I feel is a better character in the end. Blake feels more dynamic, lively and interesting now than the old iteration I first thought up, back when I was intent on making them My Own Creation with their own arc. At this point I’m comfortable saying that Blake, for all their similarities to Akechi, has evolved over the course of the campaign into a more interesting character, into someone I recognize as distinctly different and who stands out. They feel unique to me, and feel like my own character. And I think that only could’ve happened through playing them in a TTRPG like this, in developing them along with others, and having to adapt, and I think that’s the beautiful thing about developing characters with other people. The Blake I’ve ended up with is one I’m really happy with, who I feel is more interesting and dynamic to me than if I had just tried to force something unique just to not feel cringe about making an expy. And maybe I need to learn that lesson before I go through the same thing with Zee fjdkfnf.

so on one of their many hot topic trips, richie decides to get some manic panic bc he wants to put a colored streak in his hair

he has eddie choose the color, he goes with mystic heather bc he loves how bright it is

eddie really wants to do it too, but he’s nervous and knows sonia will fully lose her shit, so he ends up just getting a little purple clip in that is almost the right color

it’s a whole process, richie has to bleach the section of hair first before dying it, and he makes a huge mess in his bathroom that eddie manages to clean up while scolding richie the whole time

while richie is waiting for the color to set, he clips the piece into eddie’s hair and cuts it so it’s the right length

eddie loves it, but once richie washes his and he sees how vibrant it looks, he already knows he’s gonna end up dying his too

he ends up waiting til they graduate, and he surprises richie by telling him the only gift he wants is for richie to dye his hair, too

richie gleefully obliges, redying his own faded out one as well

ofc, eddie updates his default photo on myspace and the feedback is overwhelmingly positive. the losers give them shit abt “being the couple that matches”, but they’re all super supportive of it

from then on, eddie decides he absolutely loves coloring his hair, and by the end of the year he’s gone through every manic panic color (and so has richie)

when the last new color starts fading out, he finds himself back at hot topic, biting his lip in frustration when he realizes he really has used every color, and he decides he wants to do something even bolder, and he ends up at the register with full arms and an excited smile on his face

when he goes to richie’s that night, his heart is beating rapidly, unsure of how his boyfriend will react

“holy shit, eddie,” he says, jumping up from his bed to race over to eddie, his fingers coming up to brush through eddie’s now blonde waves, with a pretty streak of mystic heather right at the front

“do you like it?” his voice wavers as he asks, but he smiles when richie nods, leaning in to press a kiss to his forehead

“you look— you look hot, eds, wow.”

and eddie has to pout, saying, “what, you didn’t already think that?”

richie laughs, dropping his arm around eddie’s shoulders and pulling him in close

“do I really have to answer that?”

and eddie just grins, because he’s so happy that the risk was worth it, because not only does richie like it, but eddie does too

“you take your new picture yet?”

eddie giggles, and they proceed to take an absurd amount of photos together until they get the perfect one

the comments all rave, and eddie decides to start the whole process over again with his newly blonde hair

richie kisses eddie’s cheek where they sit on his bed reading through the comments

“so...”

eddie looks at richie with a raised brow, “so?”

“think we should dye mine now, too?”

director’s commentary ⭐️ for IEYH? (or other fics of yours you’d prefer to talk abt!) ik you might not be able to say much bc of spoilers but maybe any thoughts/inspirations you had developing it? my favorite genre to read is horror/suspense so i’m excited! you always have such interesting concepts n explorations!

Hi anon! thank you so much for sending this! IEYH is harder to talk about, given it’s one short--by my standards--chapter in, but I absolutely love that fic and am so happy to talk about it! I think there’s still plenty of stuff I could say right now--not as much as once it’s done, but I can at least chat a bit!

I’ve always been like a lowkey fan of horror, but like at the start of the pandemic (in the states) I got really into just binging horror (that maybe says a lot about my response to the pandemic lol). Like anything I could find--good and bad. I think it honestly started before that with the Haunting of Hill House netflix show, but I actually had the time once I was out of work to really just throw myself into horror. Anything on netflix, hulu, hbo max, shutter--I only pay for one of these, I promise I’m not giving all my money to all these different platforms--I would watch. So when GaaLee bingo came up and some of the prompts were so suited to a good supernatural horror story, I was pretty much chomping at the bit.

I talked a lot with my roommate, who’s a HUGE horror fan and someone whose thoughts I highly value and respect, to get some advice. I also read The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson and rewatched it, looking for those things in horror that I like.

There’s a lot of bad horror out there. A lot of stuff that’s just gratuitous in suffering and violence, a lot of stuff that uses trauma for shock value instead of to explore trauma. And I’m not interested in that. It’s one of the things I love so much about Hill House. It doesn’t feel gratuitous. It feels like a real exploration of trauma through the metaphor of this haunting. All the things that happen in the show lead to a resolution for the family, and even though there’s a lot of tragedy, there’s a sense of peace and closure at the end of it.

Obviously, I’m not afraid of character death or inflicting trauma on characters, but there’s always a reason for it, and I think with horror in particular, when you approach death, suffering, trauma, etc it has to be done with a lot of care. And figuring out what the point of my horror story was, was the most important step in the process.

Writing horror is very different than anything I’m used to writing. Though I would say that Deadweight was the actual first horror fic I wrote, it wasn’t like intensely obvious because the horror element/the monster was never seen, so I think , a lot of people reading that thought the thing chasing Lee and Gaara was just like some undead shinobi from the 4th war. When I wrote that fic, even though I wasn’t focusing on it as a horror fic, it was still a challenge because getting that sense that good horror fills you with--that dread, that anxiety, that feeling of being watched--was not easy.

For me, personally, I do believe in supernatural things. I’ve had my fair share of experiences, so when I approach writing IEYH, I do try and recall those feelings of being alone in a house and feeling a presence with you. Feeling like you have to race up the stairs because something is chasing you. Feeling only safe in my room, like it was a barrier against something.

Horror is by far one of the hardest genres to write. I’d say horror and comedy are the hardest, but with horror there’s like this very particular challenge because the sort of headspace I need to be in is different than anything else. I really need to tap into something with horror that I don’t usually do with other genres. Can you please write something where the reader is the 8th member of bts and while the boys are reacting to like one of the mv’s they start hyping each other up except for her(and she’s like ;; sad life man), and they do that during the next two mv reactions, until chim notices how they’ve been neglecting her and just hypes that absolute sht out of her in the mv reaction and she’s all soft for him lmaoo

“Whoaaa hyung your facial expression really stands out here!” Taehyung exclaimed, turning his head to Yoongi. 

“Look at Jimin flying! Jungkook HAHAHA your face!” Jin laughed loudly. 

“JHOOOOOOOOPE” Jungkook exclaimed, causing the others to join in with him. 

Meanwhile, smol little y/n sat at the back and said nothing. Mic Drop was booming from the laptop, and the boys were loud and chaotic as always. You smiled seeing that they were really happy and excited, but you also felt a little down seeing that no one had noticed or said anything about your cuts in the mv. You sat there patiently watching until the video ended, and then the boys started cheering and clapping and giving each other bro hugs. Then they turn to you and you give each one of them a hug telling them that they did a good job. 

“No but seriously guys, don’t you think Namjoon looked really cool when he jumped out the back of that van?” Jin asked as he took a sip of his water. 

“Yeah, and Jin youR individual shot made your shoulder’s look wider than usual,” Namjoon said making everyone laugh. 

“Yah, Jungkook, your solo with the black and white filter, you looked really sexy,” Hoseok mentioned. 

“I think Taehyung hyung looked better, and he had his bandanna and all.” Jungkook replied. 

“y/n, don’t you think Jungkook looked sexy?” Hoseok turned to you. 

You were caught by surprise, thinking that no one would turn their attention to you. 

“You look great as always, Kook.” you said smiling softly. 

Jungkook smiled and then thanked you, then they continued to praise each other. You felt pretty low at this point, no one had said anything about you and you didn’t want to seem petty so you brushed it off. But sitting there at that point in time where nothing was getting any better, you decided it was best you left the room for a bit. Jimin noticed you leaving, but he didn’t stop you thinking you probably wanted something to eat. So he stayed back and continued to tease Namjoon about how his ass cheeks looked like they were different sizes in the mv. 

After that there was Fake Love. You were really excited for this mv because you really loved the concept of the album and the mv was going to be something really special. One day, after dance practice the staff called you guys into a room to film the mv reaction video.

“Guys, in here!” Namjoon called out, gesturing everyone into a room. 

You were still taking a drink from your bottle so you were sorta left behind. You quickly closed the cap to your bottle and set it on the floor, then your turned around to hurry to the room but you bumped into Jimin’s broad and muscular chest.

“Whoa there, you okay?” he asked laughing slightly as he held your arms to keep you in place. 

You looked up at him and smiled shyly, taking a step back. Jimin’s eyes crinkled in the corners like they always do when he smiles, and his pearly whites were on display. His cheeks were slightly pink due to the exercise and his hair was combed back with his fingers and the strands fell in place perfectly.

“y/n? You okay, baby?”

“Y-yeah, I’m fine.” you stuttered, and then let out an awkward laugh. 

“Kay then, let’s go, the boys are waiting.” he said as he extended his hand towards you with one of his heart-melting smiles. 

You took his hand and he pulled you with him into the room, and made you sit next to him. The mv started playing, and you were really surprised by how well it turned out. The visuals were perfect, and you were also really proud of the band for performing the dance really well. You also thought Jimin’s water scene thingy was the best out of all scenes but clearly you are biased. 

“Jimin-ssi!” Jungkook called out making Jimin burst into a fit of giggles. And how you swooned. 

“Ahh, Yoongi, your rap here is awesome.” Jin complimented. 

“Hobi hyung’s dance is great as always.” Jungkook said. 

“Jin, you look handsome.” Taehyung said smiling, knowing what Jin’s response would be. 

“It’s not a surprise, Taehyung. I’m the handsomest of them all.” Jin said proudly. 

“Taehyung, your energy here is perfect.” Namjoon complimented. 

“Jimin-ah! The waterfall is so cool.” Hoseok said. 

“Yeah it really is.” Yoongi added.

“WOAAAHHH JUNGKOOK’S ABS!”

And that’s how the whole video went, again. Towards the end of the video, Jimin realised that you were quiet during the whole thing. And then he realised how quiet you were in all of their mv reaction videos. Just as he was about to say something to you, the video ended and the guys cheered. You clapped along with them and Jimin turned to you. His heart melted when he saw how genuinely happy you were for the band, even though no one had complimented you. As you guys were leaving the room, Jimin caught your wrist which made you turn to him. 

“What’s wrong?” you asked curiously, your eyes slightly wide.

“You did great, y/n. You danced well, you sang really well and you were just amazing,” he said smiling. 

You let out a shy laugh and somehow instead of Jimin’s hand holding your wrist, his hand was full on holding yours now. 

“Thanks, Jimin. You did really well too. I love your waterfall scene,” you replied. 

“Why thank you. Now, let’s go we have more practicing to do,” he said pulling you along with him. 

“Do you have to drag me with you every time we walk?” you asked jokingly. 

He held a playful smirk on his lips, “Well someone has to help you move your pretty little butt since you’re always so slow.”

You gasped and smacked his arm, “My butt and I are not slow.”

“Then I’ll race you to the studio!” he exclaimed and then took off. 

You laughed and raced after him. To prove that your butt isn’t slow of course. 

It was months later and it was the last mv you guys were releasing for the love yourself series. Idol was a real bop, and you had a lot of fun dancing to it. The mv was really fun to film because everything was colourful and vibrant and all of you had a fun time trying on unique clothes and teasing one another. You were really excited to see how it would all come together.

This time you guys did the mv reaction in the dance studio itself. It took like 20 minutes to calm everyone down, another 10 minutes to make the boys stop goofing around and to sit quietly. Then another 10 minutes to set up the camera and an additional 5 minutes to smack Jin because he was threatening to press the play button. Finally, the mv started playing, and before anyone could say anything, Jimin started yelling. 

“Guys look at y/n!” he exclaimed pointing to the screen. 

“y/nnnn you dance so well.” Hobi said as he shook you by the shoulders, making you laugh. 

“Yah, y/n, who told you that you could be prettier than me?” Jin joked. 

“y/n your vocals are on point.” Jungkook said in awe. 

“Look at her spinning! That’s so cute.” Taehyung laughed. 

“Good job, y/n, really” Yoongi said as he held his hand out to high-five you. 

“You make me a proud leader, y/n.” Namjoon said smiling. 

“Ugh, y/n, why are you so amazing?” Jimin asked. 

You felt so happy at the moment you couldn’t help but to let a few tears spill. 

“SHE’S CRYING! Y/N DON’T CRY WE LOVE YOU,” Taehyung exclaimed before pulling you into a hug.

You laughed and quickly wiped the tears from your eyes, “I’m fine, guys.”

“y/nnn.” Jimin whined as he tugged at your arm. 

“Taehyung give her to me.” Jimin demanded. 

Taehyung stuck his tongue out at Jimin, making Jimin literally pounce on top of the both of you, making all of you crash onto the floor. Soon each of the boys piled up on top of you guys making you nearly suffocate to death. 

“I….can’t breathe,” you said laughing hoarsely. 

At that moment you made eye contact with Jimin. He sent you a soft, reassuring smile, making your insides feel like jelly. What a precious human being god has blessed you with.

hogwarts shenanigans

marlene was a chaser at hogwarts, but she’s always been a slightly better flier than player. she’s never been particularly focused on getting goals —- her talent and interest was always in setting up the goals, in the daring of diving for the quaffle, in the speed and risk of rocketing across the pitch to get the quaffle to one of her teammates to score. she likes racing to get the quaffle, and setting it up, like the gameplay dynamics of the chasers working in tandem to get the quaffle down to the other end of the pitch. she’s always been fast, that’s the thing about marlene mckinnon: on the ground or in the air, she’s always been quicker than you can believe. quite possibly was the fastest player in the school, but that in no way translates to the best — her personal vote for that is james, though she acknowledges the skill of others such as gwenog jones, lucinda talkalot, ludo bagman and emma vanity for the one year she saw her play. a good player, she thinks, tends to be a little better-rounded, and not only has good instincts, but also good insight, and an ability to both strategise and to take direction. marlene’s flying is often characterised by the risks she’ll take — as well as her creative moves, like the mckinnon flash — and under leadership she disliked, it probably wouldn’t end as well. however, she trusted, respected and loved james, and she was very happy to have him as a captain.

she managed to scrape a high enough grade to get into it at newt level, thanks purely to her wonderful friends who managed to get her studying on track enough, but then she dropped it in seventh year — she’d kept at it because it’s necessary for a few career paths, and many of her friends, she knew, focused on it because it was a requirement for aurordom, but she had an inkling that aurordom would actually be a poor choice for her, especially given how little she trusted the ministry, and by the time she was starting seventh year, she had decided to drop it (despite her father being a member of the wizengamot & one of her brothers being involved somewhat in the ministry, the trust was.... not present fdshjsdfahjk)

comc, dada and charms were her three best subjects, and she was v good at all three of them

i saw only a few draws of yanya but i want to know more about him :

let’s kick it off with his backstory SHALL WE

so ! yanyas a lil kitsune boi raised in a little village in the outskirts of karnosea on famia, we dont have a name for it yet its not important w/e ANYWAY

he was BORN in a bigger town in central karnosea which i also dont have a name for but its also not important, what IS important is that he was a happy lil gremlin for most of his little babby years until he hit about elementary school where all the other kids’ parents started teaching them to be racist towards orcs and kitsunes and lizardfolk n shit! so they started being little shits towards him. which made him not like being in fox shape around them anymore. or in general.

so when his mums, shiranuit, a kitsune barbarian, and resnerina, a half-orc witch, were like “fuck that shit,” they moved away to that much smaller settlement, made up almost Entirely of rarer races like catfolk and wyvaran, and also orcs and ogres and stuff yea

and things were p alright! yanyas mums love him Very Much ok i love them and i love him and they all love each other. shiranuit works as a weaponsmith, and resnerina works as a luthier. so when u mashed their work together, u got yanya, a skald, or Basically a rage bard, who makes all his weapons and instruments, bc he makes his weapons into instruments, and vice versa.

his first weapon in game was a heavy mace that doubled as a guitar! it was crafted from metal ofc but its body was in the shape of a cow skull bc that shit’s metal. on one side was the guitar all strung up, and on the other he’d flip it around and it’s just Covered in spikes for him to beat the shit out of whatever 8)c

he uses his music to express himself. even with cure and mending magic, destroying things and lashing out and being aggressive all the time doesn’t make him feel good, so he’ll usually just turn to screaming out some sick tunes instead. his music’s very important to him.

moving back to early life however! he moved on through school pretty easy. i mean. not Entirely too easily bc the boy’s dumb as a brick so w/e he just. he didnt flunk out at the very least ok Cs get degrees anyway

and when he was abt.. 16, 17, he met ash!  his first..and Only girly friend who’s also a kitsune, and a gunslinger! between the two of them, she’s kind of.. the ‘brains’ but. even then she’s not like, super smart. it’s just.. not hard to be smarter than yanya w/ that sweet 7 WIS and 10 INT score lmfao. she’s plenty clever tho!

around this time yanya and ash didn’t go to school, they travelled around their local part of karnosea causing a little trouble here and there bc well. they’re of chaotic alignment. however! chaotic good alignment, so they really only gave hell to..racists 8) .. bc fuck em

the thing is though, while yanya had two mums that loved him a lot, ash didn’t. she had one mum that sucked a bunch and constantly berated her, and yanya knew, it was partially why they spent so much time just carting around wildly, having fun, bc yanya knew she deserved better!

as a side note, karnosea is neighboring artorias, which is the Big Capital of famia, where Queen Azaroa has opened a bard college! probably the best and most chattered abt all over the world tbh. you can bet yanya’s heard of it by now, being as musically inclined as he is, and has always sort of dreamed of going there.. but shit, he and his fam ain’t making that kind of money, lmfao

but! it just so happens, as rumors say, there’s a new scholarship surfacing, offered specifically to members of more. rare races, such as kitsunes! yanya can’t lie about his interest being piqued..

but the thing was, from 16 going on 18, he was sort of perfectly happy and content just travelling around like a rascal with ash, because they were best friends!! and having fun!! and without yanya, he thought ash would be all alone with her fuckin mean ass mum!! he didn’t want that, and also that bard college is probably overrated anyway, whatever..

ash’s mum isn’t having any of it, wtf ash is happy??  

the second ash and yanya get back home from whatever little bout of travel they were on, ash’s mum goes on a tirade at ash about how she’s dragging yanya down and holding him back, how she’s not good enough for him, etc.. so ash panics, because she knows he isn’t going to leave her unless she makes him never wanna see her again.

so! that same day, ash tells yanya about. how she’s been cheating on him the whole time. laughs in his face. tells him he should’ve expected it, kitsunes are known for being tricksters, liars after all!

he’s heartbroken.. so he leaves for artorias in a shocked daze probably not a full 12 hr later 

and he gets accepted to the college!

ofc being kinda poor and rough around the edges, it’s not without it’s fair share of. snooty ass rich kids being assholes, which is whatever. turns out tho, some of those rich kids are from karnosea! so because yanyas as subtle as an airhorn, rumors about him not being human spread. guess who gets to deal with racist school peers all over again! yaaaay

it’s not totally bleak, though. at college yanya met jonavahn, neyla, pazzoch, and a bunch of the other rare-race scholarship kids and they all form their own little nestled group of friends :’>

soo because yanya’s fuckin shit at like, learning, he like, does kind of piss poor in all the actual study-centric classes lmfao. but! he’s fantastic at the physical side of things–he excels with playing instruments and melee fighting, because it’s less read-a-book-and-study and more muscle memory and physical training and practice, ofc. he just barely graduated bc getting half amazing grades and half shitty grades only balances out to so much, but dAMMIT HE DID IT

so when he graduates, he goes back home for a little bit. im sure while he was at college, he managed to visit his mums back at karnosea for a little bit on breaks, but. just the idea of going back to karnosea, just knowing that. it’s where ash was. it made it a lot harder in practice than it was in theory for him lmfao.

but being back home, getting to see him mums again! it makes him really happy! because his mums love him a lot !!! and love and support him a shit ton!! they’re so proud! look at their son that graduated from the artorian queen’s bard college! holy shit!!

yanya realizes sometimes that he takes his mums for granted.. they’ve always been there to makes him feel like everything’s ok. and they do a damn good job of it! 

 a fun fact! lershe, my old incompetence quest 1 character, is a half-orc monk–by the end of iq1, he became a lycanthrope (this was in dnd 3.5, so monks could still get infected by lycanthropy), and also a lvl 30 minor deity lmfao

lershe was separated from his dad, who was raising him on his own, at a v young age. at the end of iq1, lershe sought him out, found him again, and found out that he’d started a new family with a new wife! and tbh lershe met his mum in iq1 he could not be happier for his dad lmfao. but they have a daughter! so lershe has a little half-sister! and that little half-sister is resnerina!

because lycanthropes and kitsunes share a sort of similar ability in changing shape ya kno yeah, when yanya was a little kid, lershe was still “alive” as a mortal half-orc (lershe put off accepting that he was an immortal deity for a long time) and. was a big inspiration for yanya, naturally. these kids and people were giving him shit for being able to change shape into something that resembled an animal, but his uncle lershe can do it to, and HE’S a god!! so whatever!!

anyway so iq2 started off by all the characters running into each other in a little town in karnosea and some shit abt a cave off the outskirts of town getting ransacked by mercenaries or smth, idr

a little before then our DM said txeru and yanya were going to enter town together, and aria and karrina were going to enter town together, and we could come up w/ whatever reason why they’d end up together so txeru and yanya met first actually, just outside on town in a little tavern where they. probably got into a little scuffle just bc bar fights are fun. who cares. its fine. 

its ironic bc right now, in game, txeru and yanya are fucking pissed at each other! and its great. the drama is clearing my skin. my crops are prospering. 

basically txeru is a kasatha, an alien race not native to famia, and he’s come to famia trying to hide from two .. sort of alien police that’re after him for all the petty crimes he’s done. thing is, these two Very Specific alien cops are after him because. he kinda. was romantically involved with Both of them, one being his partner in crime and the other being of kasathan royalty–when he was backed into a corner and about to get caught he kind of ditched his partner and left the noble out high and dry so they’re both PISSED at him

they recently made their way to famia and found txeru, and after we TURNED TAIL AND RAN THE FUCK OFF from them, txeru explained his story

having his heart fucking shattered by ash, yanya kinda wasn’t super happy to find out txeru was a heart-shattering asshole himself! 

so he DECKED HIM IN THE FACE and hadn’t spoken a kind word to him in like, a week

NOW they’re talking, it’s just. every word they say to each other is some variant of “fuck you” and atm we’re waiting for a boiling point to hit to see if they’ll kiss and make up or if they’re just gonna have to hate each other! 8) im so excited

meanwhile this entire time, we’re level 10 right now. so half way to the capstone level 20. 

yanya still hasn’t formally revealed that he’s a kitsune to anyone in the group. but! as i said. the boy’s subtle as a brick thrown through a window. he’s slipped up enough times in his human disguise for just about everyone in the party to catch just a little something being off about him, but since most of the party is from artorias, away from the rarer races of karnosea, not everyone knows what a kitsune is

BUT we HAVE met a kitsune in game! madame fouxy (blame my dm for that name), but even then she only shifted from an actual fox shape to anthro fox shape, not to human shape. so they’re still unaware that kitsunes can even do that atm, meaning yanya’s ruse is hanging on by a thread lmfao

he’d just come out and say it bc he’s well aware everyone’s probably seen through him by now, but. it’s suppose to be a secret. knowing that everyone knows doesn’t make him wanna tell it, it makes him wanna convince everyone they’re wrong, even though they’re right, and he doesn’t like lying ,and if everyone’s already figured it out already, then he’s not doing a good job at keeping his own damn secrets, which freaks him out, and… etc

yanya’s favorite colors are red and blue, his favorite food is smoked rabbit, he’s 6′2″ flat on his heels in human shape, but he’s wearing stilettos bc he’s use to toe walking in fox-shape, which usually puts him up to about 6′4″, 6′5″..

he’s got a shit ton of muscle, and he eats a lot to keep up his energy! so he has his fair share of fat w a soft belly. he weighs probably anywhere from 250-300 bc im not good w weights lmfao

he has a total of.. 14 piercings, four on each ear, one on each eyebrow, two on his lips, one on his nose, and one on his tongue, almost all of which he got at the bard college lmfaoo

atm at level 10, he has 5 tails! only one spell-like ability from them, however, which is disguise self. 

he knows how to sew!

he has a fear of mirrors and heights.

it’s less a ‘fear’ and more. he doesn’t like looking at himself in the mirror, practically can’t stand it when he’s in human shape. seeing his human face all he can think is “liar, liar, liar” because that’s not his ‘real’ face. seeing his fox face he’s only reminded how much fewer people would rather see him this way. if he has to, he’ll much prefer looking at his fox face, however.

AND I THINK..THAT MAY JUST COVER IT..if it’s not everything it’s Pretty close, and if i come up w anything new ur probably gonna see me draw it at some point LMFAO

god i love olympus. it was a rly nice world to be reintroduced to and i actually rly loved whats essentially a tutorial level.

and while im sorta implying game mechanics - i actually rly love the way kh3 plays. the fighting feels pretty fluid imo and i really love formchanges a lot more than i did in kh2

and by formchanges i mean

just. i guess just the formchanges from shooting star and hunny spout - more shooting star tho bc its just. rly fun to nyoom around

im sad abt twilight town bc it was one of my fave worlds in kh2 tbh and now its just. its so tiny. its gorgeous but its just so small and i would have loved to be able to see the usual spot at the very least???

listen i loved playing as riku in 3D and i wish i could play as him more.

AQUA. MY GIRL. i loved fighting as her even tho i nearly died in the process once or twice but-

but no, seriously, this world literally ruined any sort of replayability for me??? like. i’d replay the game, but i’d get to the caribbean and go “oh fuck, not this part” and die i guess

arendelle was.... ok. not my favorite world, but not my least favorite in the series at all. i wish they could have done more.

i was hoping for badass kairi. shes a keyblade wielder for christs sake! but instead shes stuck in another pretty pink dress and shoved into the background.

and while we’re on kairi: i wanna know more about her friendship with axel??? 

i actually really like concepts brought up with aqua. she stayed hopeful for so long, anti-aqua was an interesting concept! im also an awful person who likes to break characters sometimes for the development it brings but something tells me not much is going to come from this. she was left alone down there for so long, and when she had a shot at potentially escaping, she lost it. :(
