I couldn’t fit all the leaked screenshots, but based on one i didn’t post: the police looks distressed about something, and Hibaru gives him a reassuring smile, as though he’s chosen to go in to the house to help the police resolve something? My guess is to find a missing person?

I've been kinda quiet lately bc new job is sucking my sleeping schedule (more than usual) so I don't have spoons for almost anything. I wrote some things that I'll try to post here this week, and I have A LOT to say about Negai No Astro.

If there's one thing Wakui knows, is how to make the most adorable yet badass characters. I really like that! Also he's very thoughtful about their fashion sense. I'm overall so excited about NNA.

I love how this can refer to both Hibaru and Terasu too! Get you character's who can do both!

I think the best (worst?) thing is that we can't even be sure there's someone behind the speech bubble.

We don't know since how long they've been gone. We don't know if they're alive. They weren't there at Kongo's funerals.

But they weren't there either for the family picture. Which most likely happened very shortly after Hibaru came from his 'trip' to Hokkaido.

When did they leave, and why.

On Astros and the Shape they take

"I wished for the power to protect the gang"

"I want to protect Terasu and support the family. Please make me the strongest yakuza ever"

Hibaru and Terasu's Astros are both clean-cut, they have a define shape with straight lines. Their design, without lacking details is still quite simplistic. And for reasons; it fits the wish they made and theirs were quite straightforward ones. Hibaru's arm becomes a bullet because that's what he associates with strength thanks to his dad and because since he inherited from the bullet necklace he also views himself as such. Terasu's astro is the shield pattern implanted into his skin because that's what he views himself as as well, as he has the shield necklace.

"I made the wish, to crush everything to pieces"

It's the same with Kou. Straightforward, quick wish gives a detailed, perfectly geometrical and symmetrical astro. He, who wished to crush everything, was granted the power to do so taking inspiration from his long-dead brother who he held so highly. That, and Botan's punch are always what saved him in the past. He barely uses his own when fighting Hibaru - unconsciously or not, he still relies on Botan, on outside help.

Even if we take those two, who were made to be Hibaru and Terasu but really downplayed, the shapes are quite simple. They're goons from the beginning of the story after all, so it's not surprising.

Kuran changes from Astros we've seen so far because not all of it takes root in his body; it mostly just grows a new limb which we have yet to see if there are pain receptors linked to his nervous system.

He wanted to become his past self anew, but he's not him anymore. He asked to be someone who ceased to exist. To become him again is to change what he came to be since then. He can't change back, but he can change anew. And the choice is his, he can shape into anyone. (Last claim still to prove)

S H I O

Shio's astro is the first one we see that looks asymmetrical. Furthermore, it also sticks out of his body, as if it couldn't fuse properly with it. Is Shio's astro like this because as an antagonist his heart and/or mind are sullied, filled with corruption and impurities? Or is it because his wish was too complex, too vague for the astro to take a clean shape? Why does it extend so unevenly, looking like a parasite?

YEAH NO SHIT. CHAPTER 1 KONGO SAYS HIS KIDS - BESIDE HIBARU AND TERASU - ARE 'too grown-up and consumed by the gang's interest' BUT WHO EXACTLY MADE THEM COMPETE BY TYING THEM UP SO TIGHTLY TO THE NUMBER BY WHICH THEY GOT ADOPTED

WHO EXACTLY MAKE HIS 9 Y/O KID COME BACK FROM HOKKAIDO ALL THE WAY TO TOKYO (and Hibaru may have been 8 and spent his birthday somewhere else)

NO WONDER KID N.4 AND N.7 DIDNT SHOW UP TO YOUR FUNERALS. THEY EITHER DIED OR HATE YOUR GUTS.

I hate how tied to their adoption order number they are.

But it's sooo interesting.

We already got Kuran who may have then kanji for 10 (十) tattooed on his body (could also just be a cross, but the coincidence is odd), and Goshiki who has the kanji for 5 (伍) in his name. (Same as Torazo who has 3 (三))(edit: Oh, and Taira seemingly having the kanji for 9 (九), Shikaba having a pattern on his shirt looking like a bunch of 8 on top of each other)

Like. Oh, I don't like it. I don't like it one bit. I want to know more. I need to know more.

Also — Wakui putting the speech bubble exactly where the 4th kid should be.. he really doesn't want us to have any bit of information about the 4th and the 7th, uh (made me laugh even if im dying to know about them)
