#StandWithUkraine Reloaded - Donations for Stories & Art!

Some of you might have seen my post about this a few weeks back, when the war was still fresh and talk about it high in everyones mind. However, since then I have written four stories (thank you for donations!!) and handed them out. This is when @kankuroplease generously contacted me to add to my already published offer of a fanfic in exchange for a donation to also add fanart to the fic!

So, lets do this again: I will offer my services as a ghostwriter, a tailor made story for you alone! AND on top of that, you will recieve an art piece done by the wonderful kankuroplease that goes with the story! Just donate some money to a charity and you are good to go! When do you ever get such a great opportunity right?

KKP was so nice as to provide art pieces for the four stories I have already written, which can give you a general idea of how it might look like for you!

Fanfic Rules:

You donate 10$ or the equivalent in your currency to a charity of your choice that helps the people in Ukraine and/ or the refugees (ex. Malteser International |  Voices of Children |  Vostok SOS |  Caritas Ukraine) -  and send me (wind becomes lightning) the screenshot! This can not be done over usual anon request as I want to be able to communicate with you.

Tell me what kind of story you would want! You can even outline it yourself! If not I will give you an outline of what I have in mind and you can accept or decline. Excpetions to this are listed below.

The story will at least be 1.5 words in length, so far all of them have been much longer though! I will invest my time in this. If you want me to change my usual writing style or anything you can always give me feedback.

Please be reasonable when it comes to turnaround time, I have a full time job.

OC’s more than welcome! I love meeting new ones and I’d love to write for them for you.

So, as many of you have probably heard, horrifying things are happening in Ukraine and as a European, I can't turn a blind eye to Putin invading Ukraine under false pretenses. Russian Rulemakers are violating the sovereignty of an independent, strong nation just because they're power-hungry.

Please remember this is the doing of the Rulemakers, not the population! So please refrain from attacking them as plenty of them are protesting against the war as well and thereby risking their own arrest and worse.

I'm sitting here, wishing my own government would do more, so I'll do as much as I can by donating (proof will follow) and join @wind-becomes-lightning and her idea as did others as @hinatawa posted.

The link for the Caritas Ukraine doesn't seem to be working for me (neither on mobile, nor in the browser) and I'm not sure about the correct one, so I won't link it here, but you can find it in the others' posts and see if it works for you. I'll still be accepting donations to this organization for requests!

A 52º edição do Festival de Brasília do Cinema Brasileiro se encerrou neste sábado (30) elogiado pela crítica e pelos milhares de espectadores que lotaram o Cine Brasília e encheram as oficinas de arte e de negócios. O filme A Febre (RJ), de Maya Da-Rin, faturou os prêmios de melhor filme, direção, ator, fotografia e som da 52º edição do Festival de Brasília do Cinema Brasileiro. O brasiliense O tempo que resta, de Thaís Borges, foio favorito do júri popular. Entre os curtas, Rã (SP) foi considerado o melhor pelo júri técnico; Carne (SP), para os espectadores, foi o mais bem avaliado.

No geral, o 52º FBCB mostrou a que veio: 792 filmes inscritos e 111 selecionados para as 13 mostras que o compuseram. Na noite deste sábado (30), depois de nove dias de exibições nas telas do Cine Brasília e de outras três regiões administrativas, chegou o momento mais esperado: a entrega do prestigiado Troféu Candango. 

A Febre (RJ), dirigido por Maya Da-Rin, impressionou pela quantidade de reconhecimento oficial: melhor longa-metragem (júri técnico), direção, ator (Régis Myrupu), fotografia (Bárbara Alvarez) e som (Felippe Schultz Mussel, Breno Furtado, Emmanuel Croset).

Para os espectadores, o brasiliense O tempo que resta, de Thaís Borges, foi eleito pelo público o melhor longa da Mostra Competitiva.

Índio vigilante A Febre narra a história de Justino (Régis Myrupu), um indígena do povo Desana que trabalha como vigilante em um porto de cargas de Manaus. Desde a morte da esposa, sua principal companhia é a filha Vanessa, que se prepara para estudar Medicina em Brasília. Justino, então, é tomado por uma febre misteriosa. Durante a noite, uma criatura misteriosa segue seus passos. De o dia, ele luta para se manter acordado no trabalho.

Dirigido por Gil Baroni, Alice Júnior (PR) foi o segundo maior ganhador desta edição do Festival de Brasília, com quatro Candangos: melhor atriz (Anne Celestino), atriz coadjuvante (Thais Schier), trilha sonora (Vinicius Nisi) e montagem (Pedro Giongo). 

O filme mostra a vida de Alice Júnior (Anne Celestino), uma youtuber trans cercada de liberdades e mimos. Depois de se mudar com o pai para uma pequena cidade onde a escola parece ter parado no tempo, a jovem precisa sobreviver ao ensino médio e ao preconceito para conquistar seu maior desejo: dar o primeiro beijo.

Na categoria curta-metragem, o merecedor do Troféu Candango de melhor filme, segundo o júri técnico, foi Rã (SP), dirigido por Ana Flávia Cavalcanti e Julia Zakia. Já a animação Carne (SP), de Camila Kater, foi o preferido do público. Alfazema (RJ), deSabrina Fidalgo, levou o prêmio de melhor direção. 

Mostra Brasília BRB Exclusiva para filmes feitos no Distrito Federal, a Mostra Brasília BRB também revelou seus vencedores na noite deste sábado, no Cine Brasília. E o longa Dulcina, de Glória Teixeira, foi o melhor longa-metragem tanto para o júri técnico quanto para o popular. O mesmo ocorreu entre os curtas, com Escola sem sentido, de Thiago Foresti, conquistando a preferência de público e especialistas.

Dulcina é um documentário que retrata vida e obra da atriz e diretora de teatro Dulcina de Moraes por meio de depoimentos, imagens de arquivo e reconstituições. O longa também conquistou os prêmios de melhor atriz (Bido Galvão, Carmem Moretzsohn, Iara Pietricovsky, Theresa Amayo, Glória Teixeira e Françoise Fourton) e direção de arte (Úrsula Ramos e Demétrius Pina).

Festival em números A 52a edição do Festival de Brasília do Cinema Brasileiro foi marcada pelo comprometimento do Governo do Distrito Federal com a valorização do audiovisual, que investiu R$ 3,3 milhões para realização do evento. O Banco de Brasília (BRB) foi o maior patrocinador da festa – assumiu, por exemplo, a Mostra Brasilia BRB, que premia as produções realizadas no DF.

Os impactos do Festival de Brasília vão além da promoção e difusão do cinema nacional: são 7,5 mil empregos diretos e indiretos gerados em todas as atividades que este ano percorreram nove Regiões Administrativas. As oficinas oferecidas capacitaram 122 pessoas em diversas áreas do audiovisual.

Outro destaque ficou por conta do 3º Ambiente de Mercado, que proporcionou trocas de 216 empreendedores em 39 atividades. Durante três dias, 29 players nacionais e internacionais se reuniram com realizadores em reuniões, pitchings e palestras. Ao todo, foram 89 projetos selecionados, 218 reuniões em um expectativa de negócios de R$ 55,8 milhões.

Mostra competitiva – Longas-metragens

Cacá Diegues foi o presidente do júri de longas-metragens do 52º Festival de Brasília do Cinema Brasileiro. Um dos grandes nomes do cinema brasileiro de todos os tempos, sua filmografia consegue o raro feito de ser ao mesmo tempo popular e de empenho artístico, reflexivo e de encantamento.

Um dos fundadores do Cinema Novo, dirigiu filmes de grande popularidade, tais como Xica da Silva e Bye bye Brasil. Participou e foi premiado em festivais como Cannes, Veneza, Berlim, entre outros, o que o tornou um dos cineastas latino-americanos mais conhecidos e respeitados no mundo.

Bianca De Felippes é produtora e distribuidora de cinema e produziu mais de 150 peças. É fundadora da Associação dos Produtores de Teatro. Foi sócia da Copacabana Filmes e está na Gávea Filmes desde 2008. Entre outros, produziu Carlota Joaquina, a Princesa do Brazil, ícone da retomada do cinema brasileiro; Faroeste caboclo; e prepara o lançamento do longa Eduardo e Mônica.

Artur Xexéo, 68 anos, é jornalista, dramaturgo, roteirista e escritor carioca. Mantém uma coluna semanal no jornal O Globo e é comentarista da GloboNews e da CBN. Autor de musicais e roteirista de séries de TV. Assina os livros O torcedor acidental, Janete Clair – A usineira dos sonhos e Hebe – A biografia.

Carmen Luz é realizadora audiovisual, mestre em Arte e Cultura Contemporânea pela UERJ, pesquisadora, pós-graduada em Cinema-Documentário pela Fundação Getulio Vargas e professora na Escola de Cinema Darcy Ribeiro. Integra comitês de seleção de eventos de cinema. Seus filmes foram exibidos em festivais no Brasil e no exterior.

Jimi Figueiredo é diretor e roteirista. Seus curtas Superfície, Paralelas e Verdadeiro ou falso participaram de importantes festivais no Brasil e no exterior. Realizou os longas Cru (2011), Jogo da memória (2014) e Malícia (2016). Atualmente, dirige a minissérie Histórias do Brasil e finaliza o longa-metragem Noctiluzes.

Pablo Villaça atua como crítico de cinema desde 1994. Em 1997, criou o Cinema em Cena, mais antigo site do gênero da web brasileira. Roteirizou e dirigiu dois curtas-metragens e é autor dos livros O cinema além das montanhas e Os filmes da sua vida têm muito mais para contar, além de colaborações em três livros da Abraccine.

Bruna Linzmeyer é atriz. Atuou em dez longas-metragens, quatro curtas, sete novelas e duas séries de TV. Entre as diretoras e diretores com quem trabalhou, estão Anita Rocha da Silveira, Daniela Thomas, Carlos Diegues e Neville D’Almeida.

Mostra Competitiva – Curtas-metragens

Lorenna Montenegro é crítica de cinema, roteirista, jornalista cultural e produtora de conteúdo, com mais de 15 anos de atuação na área. Cursou Produção Audiovisual na PUC-RS. É membro do Elvira, coletivo de mulheres críticas de cinema, e da Associação de Críticos de Cinema do Pará (ACCPA). Ministra oficinas e cursos sobre crítica, história e estética do cinema, além de participar como júri e palestrante de festivais.

Takumã Kuikuro é cineasta, coordenador do Coletivo Kuikuro de Cinema e presidente da Associação Indígena Kuikuro do Alto Xingu. Codirigiu o longa-metragem As Hiper Mulheres (2011), premiado nos festivais de Gramado e Brasília, além de vários curtas e médias-metragens, tais como O dia em que a Lua menstruou (2004), O cheiro de pequi (2006), Karioka (2015), Londres como uma aldeia (2016) e Xandoca (2019). É formado em Edição pela Fundação Darcy Ribeiro. Realiza oficinas de audiovisual entre povos indígenas da Amazônia.

Carlos del Pino é uruguaio, realizador cinematográfico formado pela Escuela Superior de Cine de Santa Fé, Argentina, país onde começou sua atuação no audiovisual. No Brasil, trabalhou com Cacá Diegues e quase todos os diretores do Cinema Novo. Fez filmes de ficção e documentário. Atualmente, está finalizando a adaptação da ópera Olga Benário Prestes, do maestro Jorge Antunes, e inspirada no livro Olga Benário, de Ruth Werner.

André Dib é jornalista, pesquisador, curador e crítico de cinema. Tem textos publicados em diversos jornais, revistas, sites, catálogos e livros, tais como o recém-lançado Trajetória da crítica de cinema no Brasil. Membro da diretoria da Associação Brasileira dos Críticos de Cinema (Abraccine 2013-17). Mestrando no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Comunicação da Universidade Federal da Paraíba.

Primeira mulher a dirigir a fotografia de um longa no Brasil, Kátia Coelho recebeu mais de 30 prêmios nacionais e internacionais. Com Tônica dominante, ganhou o Kodak Vision Award – Women in Film, Los Angeles, e o APCA. Fotografou A Via Láctea, de Lina Chamie, representante do Brasil em Cannes. Foi professora de Cinematografia na USP. Fez a produção executiva de Terra de ciganos, de Naji Sidki, e de Dulcina, de Glória Teixeira. Fotografou Diário de viagem, em finalização, de Paula Kim.

#StandWithUkraine - Donations for Stories

As many of you may know, Russia has attacked Ukraine on the 24th of February, an unprovoked, unacceptable invasion of a fellow sovereign country that somehow Russian Rulemakers see as theirs. So as Ukraine, a strong, fighting nation, squares up to defend against the oppressors, all the rest of us in eastern Europe can do is watch and wait if we are next. Well I hate that. I hate it so much I could scream all day. So, instead I thought, at least I could donate (and I did) and also, maybe I could get others to donate.

Here is the thing: Let’s do an exchange of goods! I offer my services as your ghostwriter, write you whatever setting, whatever story, whatever pairing you want. It’s practically a commission for a tailor made fanfiction and all you have to do is donate 10€ or the equivalent to one of the four organisations I will link here and show me the receipt. Easy right? We all win.

UPDATE: Donations for Stories & Art

Hello my friends and followers, as you maybe know (or sick of hearing at this point) @lemony-snickers & @kankuroplease and me have teamed up to give you fanfic and art in exchange for a donation :) We are still working on requests we got and I want to provide a little update.

Though we are very flattered by people coming back because they liked our work so much we limit to one story per person. We still encourage you donate though, because the war is not over.

We will only take request for this until the end of May. In June we will only finish the ones we have already gotten. I hope you understand that with a busy summer ahead we just do not have as much time.

If you want a story and haven't had one here is the original post (Lemony is not added to that because it was a while ago, but of course she is also part). Feel free to contact any of us about it.

#StandWithUkraine Reloaded - Donations for Stories & Art!

Some of you might have seen my post about this a few weeks back, when the war was still fresh and talk about it high in everyones mind. However, since then I have written four stories (thank you for donations!!) and handed them out. This is when @kankuroplease generously contacted me to add to my already published offer of a fanfic in exchange for a donation to also add fanart to the fic!

So, lets do this again: I will offer my services as a ghostwriter, a tailor made story for you alone! AND on top of that, you will recieve an art piece done by the wonderful kankuroplease that goes with the story! Just donate some money to a charity and you are good to go! When do you ever get such a great opportunity right?

KKP was so nice as to provide art pieces for the four stories I have already written, which can give you a general idea of how it might look like for you!

I hate it so much I could scream all day. So, instead I thought, at least I could donate (and I did) and also, maybe I could get others to donate.

Here is the thing: Let’s do an exchange of goods! I offer my services as your ghostwriter, write you whatever setting, whatever story, whatever pairing you want. It’s practically a commission for a tailor made fanfiction and all you have to do is donate 10€ or the equivalent to one of the four organisations I will link here and show me the receipt.
