Latt3 was a prototype originally designed to be an automated server droid by Borg, but when she showed the same capacity for higher-level personality and thinking as Pixal, Cyrus couldn't put her into mass-production.

BONUS HEADCANNON:

She did so well running the Borg Tower cafe, that she ended up making enough money from her own wages, that she was able to open her own coffee shop with Ronin as her chief investor! Cyrus had offered to just give her the money, but she wanted to do this on her own.

I just finished rewatching season 3 because I'm a filthy Rebooted enjoyer, and can I just say that it's actually kinda nice that all the other nindroids have personalities distinct from Zane's?

Like it would've been so easy to just make all robots talk and act like Zane, thereby handwaving all of Zane's 'odd' traits as a matter of him just being Not HumanTM. But they didn't!

Pixal, Cryptor, Echo, Mindroid, Mr. E, LATT3, and heck Unagami while we're at it - they all have distinct personalities that are separate not just from Zane, but from each other as well. They're all unique individuals, they're all people. And idk I just think that's pretty cool

This was fun to talk about. Thanks for letting me talk about the dou a bit ^-^

Alright time to explain the name idea.

One. The red eye is a connection to Mr. E and his red color scheme, including the red mascara.

And Two. Red Eye is the name of a coffee, the type of drink Latt3 sells in the coffee shop she works in.

And Three. The idea of the coffee name of Red Eye is a refrence to red, tired eyes after a night drinking caffinated coffee. Again, red eyes to Mr. E

But four. The idea of caffeinatted coffee making you have energy to do more work felt like a nice fit to both characters; with Latt3 being a busy worker and likes tough puzzle games (Chess Tournament) on her breaks, and Mr. E getting a power up that gives him an extra pair of arms that make him a more mobile fighter.

And lastly, not related to the name, but I liked the idea of different characters with clashing aesthetics interacting.

Their name would be something like purplerobot or coffeshipping or something because... They are both robots who main colour is purple and Pix seems like someone who would drink coffee
