Esta es una tablilla de arcilla con los números sumerios; La escritura cuneiforme, que es uno de los sistemas de escritura más antiguos conocidos. Estamos hablando de hace más de cuatro mil años. Así de primeras puede parecer raro, pero este sistema es increíblemente preciso y práctico.

Los sumerios son considerados la primera civilización antigua que se tiene constancia.

El triángulo invertido pequeño = 1

El triángulo invertido grande = 60

El círculo pequeño = 10

El círculo grande = 3600

El triángulo junto con el círculo = 600

Y con eso es con lo que contaban. Es un sistema sexagesimal, es decir, agrupaban en bloques de 60 en lugar de 10 como hacemos con nuestro sistema decimal. La elección de 60 tiene varias teorías;

Tiene mucho que ver su relación con la astronomía y la astrología. El sistema sexagesimal se divide en 360°, lo que facilita el seguimiento de los movimientos celestes y la creación de calendarios precisos. Ellos son los que dividieron el día en 12 horas y la noche en 12 horas, una división que aún utilizamos hoy. Los sumerios eran excelentes astrónomos y observaban los movimientos de los planetas, sus registros detallados de estos movimientos ayudaron a desarrollar sus conocimientos matemáticos y astronómicos. Gracias a estas observaciones y cálculos predecían eclipses lunares y solares.

Dividieron el cielo como un reloj en 360°, creando un sistema de coordenadas celestes que rastreaban los movimientos de los astros. Cada región la asociaban con una constelación y deidad específica. Estas constelaciones las utilizaban para crear calendarios agrícolas y religiosos, ya sabían que influía en la vida de las personas. Con la observación de los movimientos de los planetas y las estrellas podían predecir inundaciones,sequías y cambios de estación. Conocimientos que utilizaban sacerdotes y gobernantes para tomar decisiones importantes.

La división de la semana en siete días que tanto me gusta remarcar y que está directamente relacionada con los siete planetas: el Sol, la luna, mercurio, Venus, Marte, Júpiter y Saturno, los consideraban dioses y sabían de su influencia en la vida humana. Cada día está dedicado a un planeta diferente.

De esta base astrológica los babilonios desarrollaron una astrología más compleja y detallada. Que luego heredaron y adaptaron a sus mitos egipcios, griegos y romanos.

Inanna (Ishtar): Asociada con Venus, era la diosa del amor, la guerra y la fertilidad.

Nanna (Sin): Diosa de la Luna, relacionado con la sabiduría y la medida del tiempo.

Utu (Shamash): Dios del Sol, asociado con la justicia y la verdad.

Nergal: Dios de la muerte y el inframundo, a veces asociado con Marte.

Ningishzidda: Dios de la sabiduría y la escritura, a veces relacionado con Mercurio.

Los ritos y celebraciones que marcan el paso del tiempo, se debe a la observación del cielo y los principales eventos astronómicos como los solsticios, equinoccios y apariciones de ciertas estrellas y planetas que señalan el momento adecuado.

El estudio de la civilización sumeria nos permite comprender los orígenes de la civilización humana, el desarrollo de la escritura, la religión, la ciencia y la sociedad. Además, sus logros sentaron las bases para las civilizaciones posteriores de Mesopotamia y más allá.

La gente que critica la astrología simplemente ignora el conocimiento que encierra la relación psicológica entre los movimientos planetarios y la vida humana, este conocimiento se ha ido en parte conservando, comprendiendo y desarrollando y otra parte desfigurando, tergiversando y ridiculizando. Se necesita de una gran profundidad en el estudio para llegar a comprender grandes verdades, de las que el sistema conscientemente nos ha alejado porque es una manera de manipular y controlar a la población. Ahora tenemos el fútbol y el alcohol. Y personas que pilotan de fútbol y beben alcohol, se juntan a criticar la astrología. Que no hace falta saber de fútbol ni beber para criticarla, pero es lo que veo de cerca en la sociedad que me rodea y por eso lo menciono. Yo retaría a cualquier persona que lo critica a que me deje levantarle su carta astral y me deje leer sus manos y luego que reflexione un poco en la razón por la que el conocimiento es lo que nos intentan arrebatar, sumidos en vidas para alimentar un sistema que nos destruye el espíritu y nos roba el alma.

Like Hermes, Ningishzidda’s symbol was the caduceus, however I’d really advise against identifying them as the same god. There are a couple of similarities (Hermes was also a god of the underworld of sorts, called a psychopomp, as he’d lead the dead to Hades) but Ningishzidda is not a trickster god nor a god of merchants, and the aspects of a scribal god given to the Graeco-Egyptian syncretized version of Hermes/Thoth has more to do with Mesopotamian Nabû or Sumerian Nisaba.

So far I have yet to read a good analysis of what the Mesopotamian caduceus meant for Sumerians and Babylonians, but we could safely suppose there’s something to do with life and death, given Ningishzidda’s cthonic vibes, his role as the guardian of heaven’s gates (together with Tammuz/Dumuzid) and the serpent’s symbolic association with eternal life (see the epic of Gilgamesh).

Enki, Ningishzidda and Ninmah were hard at work! There were many failures, but eventually success was achieved by fertilizing an Anunnaki ovum with a sperm from Homo Erectus in the lab, and then implanting the embryo in Ninmah’s own womb, where she carried it to term.

The resulting male child was named Adamu (Adam) and he was the first of the Homo Sapiens. Shortly after this the first female was successfully produced and given the name Ti-Amat (Eve).

After a long and heated discussion, Anu gave Enki, Ninmah and Ningishzidda his blessing to return to their laboratory by the great waterfall and continue their experiments; and he also decided to move to the Moon for a while, where the Anunnaki had now established a few cities, so that he could keep a close eye on what unfolded next.

Incidentally, when the Anunnaki established those cities on the Moon they actually had to defeat and evict a bunch of Draco who were still hanging out, so their cities were built on the infrastructure of those old reptilian bases. I won’t go into the details of this little war, but it was significant because it was the first time that the Anunnaki had come in contact with another intelligent race, much less a race of giant fuckin’ lizards, since the ancient days of their prehistory.
