👀 can we see/hear more about your camera collection? Do you still shoot film?

Of course! I don't have a huge collection by any means, but I do have a few.

In order of production year:

- Nikon F90X from 1994

- Pentax ME Super from 1979

- Kodak EK6 instant camera from 1976

- Bolex Paillard B8 from 1958

- Brownie Starlet from 1957

- Kodak folding catridge Premo from 1913

I buy cameras from random shops as I find them, so most of these are likely broken, but I just enjoy having them :')

I also hoard anything vintage camera related, like lenses, bags and old flash bulbs etc. And I have like 15 rolls of expired film from 2003 which is very nice.

And I do shoot film! though not often because of the cost. So far i've shot one roll with the Nikon and found that I didn't like it at all. Aside from that I mainly shoot the Pentax which I bought tested and freshly restored specifically to use it as my main camera. (And I adore it) I have some of the pictures taken with those two posted here under the 'film photography' tag!

Random shots with Nikon F90X

The Nikon F90X is a mammoth of a camera! Its a beast to shoot with, I love bulky cameras as they give you stability in shooting and I don't mind the extra weight lugging around.

The Nikon F90X was an advanced auto-focus camera back in 1994 and was discontinued around 2001. But during that time it was in every advanced amateur or prosumer's camera bag as a backup. Back in the film era you could get a Nikon F100 or F5 or F6; but all you really need is the F90X.

The auto focus was fast with matrix metering capability and with the added motor drive makes shooting a rapid fire; though I wouldn't want to use up my entire film roll in less than a minute. The downside of F90X is that the rubberized back tends to get sticky and messy after some long term use but I got mine secondhand from eBay with a 'Brand New' back door- so all good so far! Below are some shots with Nikon F90X.

Another problem is this camera turns anything warm color into magenta, which can be adjusted to some degree by post processing.
