She doesn't have a canon personality, but her and her voice provider's shared surname is made up of kanji that mean "dream" and "sleep", and she is dressed in pyjamas.

I'd like to add to her name-based propaganda that her first name (also shared with her voice provider, though spelled differently), is a homophone of a Japanese word meaning sleep or rest!

Kanata Konoe:

Kanata is often found sleeping in the club room, the nurse's office, or any of a dozen hiding spots she has around campus. Performances of her first solo song, "Nemureru Mori ni Ikitai na" — "I Want to Go to A Forest Where I Can Sleep" — actually feature a bed on-stage, and her introductory call-and-response involves her needing to be awakened and reminded of what venue she's in. (Later character development reveals that one reason she's always sleepy is that although she loves sleeping, she doesn't do a lot of it at home, as she's working part time, studying late into the night, and preparing meals for her younger sister.)

She's very sleep :) her (older)songs are very sleepy and laid back. The choreography in some of them is just her sitting on a bed. Outside of performing she's usually seen sleeping. The reason for why she's so sleepy is because she's overworked. She has a scholarship so she has to study a lot, she has a job to help her mom, she also takes care of her sister and she has idol stuff. She does this all by herself for the people she loves but its too much for one person. Eventually she learns that she should let her sister help her at home. She's just a very caring person and I love her and she's the best. Um I don't think this really does her justice but I can't think of words anymore watch love live.

The first thing they teach you about this girl is that she's sleepy! It's in her voice, it's in her art, nearly every single one of her songs are lullaby adjacent...She frequently naps around her school campus and at the idol club, her entire idol shtick involves sleeping and having the audience sleep as well she's just. So so sleepy.
