Here's an idea: time travel fix it, but the time traveller is Zeff.

Casually fixing what he can for his Eggplant's future Nakama, like bribing Mihawk with a nice wine to mention what Arlong is up to to Jimbe.

I love a time travel fix it with an unlikely hero. Because the Strawhats have a lot of information about what needs to be fixed. Their time travel fix it’s make sense. But the fun ones are their allies who know major events but don’t know everything.

(I saw someone try this with Mihawk and like the man only knows major events that the strawhats get into. Also he’s way more likely just to show up and watch the chaos while drinking wine.)

Zeff being sent back is so fun. 1) he’s a great character who obviously loves Sanji and would want to do what’s best for him. But also 2) he has no idea what half the inciting incidents are! How will he ever know what to stop?

He does have some information though. So let’s say he gets dropped 21 years in the past. He’s still a pirate. Ohara was just burnt last year and Rodger died 3 years ago (fact check me)

Most importantly Sanji is about to be born. His little eggplant is about to be born into one of the worst family on the sea. Well not if he has anything to say about it. He’s still Red-Leg Zeff, the pirate captain.

He knows they can’t do a full frontal assault but some sneaking around gets him to Sora. And a quick “how do you feel about taking all the kids and running?” She’s in. Anything to get them away from Judge.

And it’s stupid easy because they are babies who are only a few days old. Judge only cares about their test results he isn’t watching them. So Zeff and a few of his crew just nab Judges wife and kids, and quite a bit of loot.

Zeff is booking it out of there. But not without kick judge through at least one wall durning the escape.

He makes the decision to quiet the pirate life early. He’s got Sora and the kids to worry about. They open the Baratie early. He knows exactly which cooking staff he’s hiring.

As he separated from the crew he tells them that if they run into a girl named Nico Robin to bring her to him.

He starts establishing the Baratie as a location for all to dine in. But this time he’s focused on making connections. Keeping his thumb on the pulse of both pirate and government movement.

Raising the five kids he’s acquired along side Sora, the genetic programming takes but without it being supported as they grow eventually gets out of their systems. Sanji being the most in touch with his emotions followed by Reiju. Their brothers struggle with emotions but are a lot better and more adjusted than they are in cannon.

About two years into this restaurant one 11 year old Nico Robin is delivered by his old crew. The girl is super freaked out but he sits her down and tells her that’s she’s safe, he’s got ears everywhere and will know if the governmental coming after them, and he won’t let them take her. Plus who’s going to be looking for her at a high class restaurant. It also helps that he’s got a gaggle of children already so she can stay off the floor hanging out with the kids. Sora also dyes Robin’s hair purple and that with age is enough to make people not immediately recognize her from her bounty poster.

5 years later the red hair pirates a bouncing around the East blue and Zeff waits. Waits until one day Shanks comes in one arm short and bragging about his son. (It helps that Sanji and his siblings are helping out so Shanks and Zeff are just casually talking about their kids.) He grabs the captain and pulls him to the side and tells him that Luffy is in danger and that there is another little boy on that island, a boy who is the son of his old captain. Shanks thinks he’s crazy at first but he knows things about Luffy. The scar under his eye, and other things.

Enough to make shanks curious enough to turn around and find Luffy and his TWO new brothers. He quickly collects three children and returns to the Baratie. (Kicks door open while holding three children “you were right!” Zeff surprised by the third child but not mad) (I don’t think he knows about Sabo)

Luffy and Sanji get on like a house fire with Luffy loudly declaring that Sanji will one day join his crew as his chef. And Zeff is standing there watching them with a proud smile, because somethings are just meant to happen.

Meanwhile Shanks as turned to look at Zeff

Zeff just snorts “a lot. You still friends with Hawkeyes or have you to made it official yet?”

(With the Baratie around earlier he had to witness young Shanks and Mihawk flirting, it was painful)

Shanks gets sad “he’s mad about well you know…” the missing arm. And Zeff feels bad about that but he had no clue how the man lost it in the first place so there was no way he could stop it.

“If you run into him tell him there’s a crazy kid in the east blue gunning for his title. If he wants to keep things interesting he might want to train him.” (The Baratie is Mihawk’s favorite establishment Zeff could also tell him but he has a feeling the swords master would listen to Shanks over him.)

This is how Mihawk shows up at a dojo where a 10year old Kuina and 9 year old Zoro are training. (A year before Kuina’s death) he sees their skill and hears Kuina’s father’s opinion about females and training. He knows it’s an opinion that is also popular in Wano where this man is obviously from, but it’s not the way the rest of the world works. He approaches and offers to take over the training of the girl “who won’t make anything of herself” and the “feral gremlin using sword handles for teething.” Kuina’s father isn’t to sure about all this but he can’t really refuse the greatest swordsman in the world nor will Kuina or Zoro stay once they hear about the offer.

Mihawk has now obtained one verbally polite girl who will break every rule the moment his back is turn and one backpack leash gremlin.

He and Shanks are regulars at the Baratie for parenting advice. Luffy meets Zoro’s and again claims him as part of the crew. Years later Zoro and Sanji argue over who will be the first official member (Sanji: Luffy asked me first! Zoro: but I was the first one to physically join the crew!)

But currently the three run a muck on the Baratie pulling pranks on their older siblings (Ace, Sabo, Kuina, and Reiju are all the same age) or just Sanji brothers (they are still learning emotions and will sometimes join in on the chaos, other times they are a rival faction but if they ever get to mean Luffy and Zoro put them in their place)

but eventually Luffy runs into Robin (she tries to stay out of the way as much as possible to not get the Baratie in trouble. Zeff tells her she doesn’t have to but Trauma is a thing) Luffy loves her instantly. She quitely reading a book and Luffy joins her for story time and she never gets mad at his interruption and is so patient with him. He looks at her with a grin of a small sun and tells her “when I’m captain you’re going to be on my crew!” Robin is a little freaked out because she doesn’t want to bring the world government down on this little boy. But Zeff talks to her later and tells her that Luffy isn’t a force that can be stopped. It takes time but in the next ten years Robin comes around to the idea of being on Luffy’s crew with Zoro and her little brother Sanji. As soon as Luffy claimed her he told the others. Sanji was pumped! Zoro just accept it but he comes around to really love Robin.

At the same time that the boys are all being adopted Zeff is making some calls and contacts. The Baratie has been open for over 9 years he’s got some high connections. He eventually gets a hold of Jimbei and tells him that Arlong is in the East Blue and causing trouble. (Arlong has just started in the East blue, Zeff has no clue of the time clock) he points Jimbei in the direction of Cocoyashi.

Jimbei gets their right at the time of Arlong raid in the village. He walks in right as Arlong and Bell-mére are having their confrontation. I don’t know exactly what happens (I haven’t met Jimbei yet) but he’s able to stop it.

Bell-mére asks how he knew they were in trouble and he tells them about the Baratie. The village wants to thank the man who alerted Jimbei so Bell-mére goes (she is a retired Marine and probably the best sailor.) and takes Nojiko and Nami with her. Of course Shanks is visiting with the boys and Luffy and Nami instantly hit it off. “This is my Navigator!!!” Shanks is laughing because the kids going to have a whole crew before he has a boat.

Once Luffy is ready to set sail he meets up with Zoro and the two head to the Baratie to pick up Nami, Sanji, and Robin. Zeff points them in the direction of Suyrup village to “get a ship” where they pick up Usopp and save Kaya. (This absolutely does not make Usopp’s feeling of inferiority worse by the time they get to Water 7. No way. It’s not like everyone else on the crew until Vivi and Chopper have known each other for 10 years. He’s not the odd man out in any way.)

Zeff doesn’t have a lot of information about their adventures so he can’t truly stop anything but he does know some thing. (Nami leaving the crew. Luffy and Zoro being from the east blue and having connections with Shanks and Mihawk (Mihawk totally goes the the Baratie to drink during the time skip. Zeff knows Zoro is his kid) he knows Ace is Roger’s son and that he dies. But he doesn’t know anything that isn’t in Sanji’s letters or the news paper (which is full of lies)

He makes the best decisions he can for Sanji.

He saves Sanji from Zeff as soon as possible

Accidentally saving Sora, Reiju, Ichiji, Niji, and Yonji

After Sanji set sail Zeff decides to expand the Baratie. It’s a chain

Patty and Carne take over the East blue branch

Reiju runs the one in the grandline.

Ichiji runs one in the west blue

Niji runs one in the south blue

The north blue doesn’t get one until Judge is dead they all agree on that

Yonji bounces from place to place helping as he is needed

Zeff and Sora open one in the New World.

Zeff might not know everything the Strawhats went through but he knows the major events and by having a home base in almost every sea he’s got ears everywhere. His old crew is still out there acting as ears for him and bring him news.

Anything he can help the Strawhats avoid or remove from their path he sends word

Ace’s death is prevented because he knows about Blackbeards plans and tells Ace to watch out for the man and to not trust him. It helps that Ace grew up with Shanks who never liked Blackbeard at all.

He tells Mihawk about Zoro

Kuina is accidentally saved

Both get to train with Mihawk far before their adventure. Mihawk loves it because the two are “trying to kill him” but they are also competing with each other and it’s MESSY they are so dramatic in their own weird way and he’s living for watching this gremlins fight while he drinks wine. When Perona shows up he finally has a goth child who wants to dress presentable and drink wine while making his other children. The family is complete.

He puts out feelers for Robin having no real hope she will show up

Accidentally gave her a loving home and help her feel safe while also preparing her for the adventure ahead.

He points Jimbei in Arlong direction. He has no clue what Arlong is truly up to.

Accidentally saves village

Saves Bell-mére’s life and kick starts the Strawhats.

The Strawhats still have a lot going on but because of advance trading some received as children and the stronger bonds.

He can’t do anything to Chopper, Franky, Brook or Usopp because their trauma is already passed Franky/Brook or he doesn’t know their stories well enough to intervene, Usopp/Chopper.

But he does make the safest home possible for his little eggplant.

The S stands for Sora

Switching gears to another blonde who deserved some happiness with their family!

Sora’s illness is still quite debilitating but she pulls through. I’m not sure what her symptoms were in canon so I’m just giving her a weaker body (like loss of bone mass) and a weaker immune system. So she can walk but it takes a lot out of her.

Since she lives, Judge decides to “kill” off Sanji a bit sooner, thinking that he absolutely needs to get rid of any weakness. Sora is of course devastated until Reiju comes by and tells her the truth. Then, she’s angry. Angry enough to plan to leave.

She decides to take Reiju and Sanji with her when she does. Constantly telling herself that she’s too weak to grab unwilling children, that Judge would keep too close an eye on the other boys…but she still feels guilt. Guilt that she doesn’t feel a huge hole in her heart at the thought of leaving Ichiji, Niji and Yonji behind. (It’s why she has photos only of them as babies…the last time she really felt connected to them)

Still escape towards the East Blue. At this point Sora’s not faring too well health wise and they have to stay in one place for her. That is until Reiju hears of a ship hiring for their kitchen crew. She convinces Sanji to go and learn how to cook from professionals - to learn about the All Blue. Lots of fighting to get him to go but once Sora joins in on Reiju’s side, he’s off.

They constantly write to one another while they’re apart until suddenly it’s been radio silence on Sanji’s end for far too long. Sora and Reiju hear of the ship he was on sinking and fear the worst. Just as they’ve reluctantly decided to declare him as dead, he shows up again with an older man with only one leg.

I’ve basically got Zeff taking them in and having him and Sora fall in love 🤭

Reiju and Zeff butt heads on his idea of women and not fighting them a lot as she grows up. Her skill and much more durable body do make him budge some on his ideals. So Sanji grows up not wanting to fight women still (because they’re not all as strong as Reiju) but once he’s on the crew he prioritizes Nami’s, Vivi’s and Robin’s safety over what he was taught.

Reiju doesn’t cook but she is the Baratie’s most popular waitress. Especially amongst the ladies (rip Sanji) while Sora is more of a business type that stays in the back (mostly due to health).

Enter Gin. The real difference here is that Reiju can join Luffy and Sanji in the fight. And once the poison gas comes out? Reiju really shines.

I’ve made her into a sort of Poison Vampire. Thought it’d be cool if she sucked out poison through a bite.

So Gin isn’t on his deathbed and I’ve decided to have him join the Straw Hats. Also think it’d be funny if he had personal beef with Smoker.

(Being the only grown ass adult, he almost cries tears of joy when Robin joins)

My favourite Vinsmoke actors from the One Piece live stage show and Sanji Restaurant in Universal Studios Japan.

That one particular Niji performer does his act so SO good, it's just straight up unhinged madness. He tries to kick away staff members (it's just acting, of course), turned up his nose at fans who were waving at him (the fans love it), and even when just standing and posing he does it in a way where it looks like he's up to bad stuff.

I always joke that it's really just Niji who found a portal to the real world.

Also, this Ichiji always does his gestures with so much intensity and drama, I can usually tell it's him even if the face is blurry or not visible. The other Ichiji actors kind of leans more on a "cool and calm" sort of act, but this guy is just fire 🔥🔥

It could be all just unfortunate timing since Universal forbids the posting of videos. Maybe the other actors actually does dramatic flairs too, but the photos just don't show it, but the impression I got from the photos that were there.

According to the cast list his name is Uno, which is so funny. I know it's just a Japanese surname, but still.

And then Yonji. This one guy is tall and has muscle, so he gets to actually go around showing off and flexing his arms at the visitors. It also makes it 10000x more vibe when he does the "AAAAAAH CUTE GIRLS 😍😍😍" thing (yes, they really do that 😂😂). All the Yonji actors do it, but this guy is the biggest and tallest, so it just looks extra funny (and adorable 💚).

Sanji is Sanji, so there's been like dozens of actors through the years, I can't go through them all. Of the ones I've seen I like this guy the most. They're all so cute, but this one has a really really nice smile. It's just sunshine when I see it ☀️☀️☀️

Reiju is a brand new addition to the performance, but the actresses are all so lovely!!

Your mother snatched you from your little hand; a deadly stare made you silent almost instantly. The tears were kept at bay, as they just pooled in your eyelids. You shouldn’t, you mustn’t disobey nor piss off the Germa prince.

“Stop it, (Name). I told you; Ichiji-sama can do anything he likes! You will be killed if you disobey!”

You, by the time you were already born, were promised as future Germa 66’s king Ichiji as a wife. Somehow, to Judge himself and the rest of scientific crew, your potential was high enough to meet the future queen expectations -probably just to bare children even more modified than Ichiji himself-.

And the time flew with you having to put up with a kid that soon turned into a young man… You would lie if you said you didn’t miss him a bit when he became an adult; always from war to war, always training and studying… where was that kid that enjoyed messing with you? biting your arm all of a sudden, and even sometimes coming with tears in his eyes that nobody should see?

Yet, the time was close; the date set since forever, in which you would finally become his wife was around the corner. You were taken to his side of the Germa palace, were thousand maids started a month earlier to prepare you for your future husband…

“Miss (Name), Ichiji-sama will return today from a mission. You need to be ready for tonight!” one of the maids tells you.

Ah, that dinner you were told about a couple of months prior. Should you speak? Should you mention anything at all? What would happen tonight?

Dressed in red finest fabrics you stand in front of the mirror; your hair on a braid rests on your left shoulder and your skin exudes the sweet scent of chocolate and strawberry. You were specifically bathed in oils that smelt just like a sugary dessert.

Alone, with two guards behind you, you walk down an immense hall you remember from your childhood days. You were used to run from Ichiji’s biting torture; that kid had hyper fixated into using his teeth to play with you.

The opened doors of the dining room welcome you; a big table with only just two seats, one on each side, full of food you are sure two people can’t even remotely finish.

“Miss (Name), please take a sit. Prince Ichiji will arrive soon” a maître says, coming out of nowhere.

You nod and sit where you were indicated to do so. Nervous, you fidget with your fingers; It’s been a minute since you’ve seen him. Perhaps it’s been two minutes in total silence, but you felt it like an eternity until a warm, heavy hand slid through your shoulder and back.

“Sorry for the delay” his sweet voice, sweeter than he looks, reverberated inside you.

Your stiffened back remained that way as your eyes followed him walking to his seat. Wearing his prince attire, and not his Germa suit, Ichiji Vinsmoke had the appearance of prince charming – a very severe, not so friendly, and smoking hot prince charming-.

“Your hair has gotten a lot longer, hasn’t it?” he observes, once he gets comfortable. Ichiji acts a lot different that his brothers, he is a true royal. Manners are important if he wish to be the next King of these lands.

You take your eyes from the silver plate in front of you, to a swift look at him before answering. Cheeks on fire; when has he ever paid attention to your hair?

“I think so, Ichiji-sama… is it ok for you? or should I cut it?” you ask, grabbing the braid in between your hands.

Ichiji, taken aback, took some time before taking his dark cherry glasses off. For the first time in years, you are able to see his blue eyes again. And despite them being framed by an annoying frown, you realized that deep inside he is still a kid.

“Should a future queen ask such nonsense? Who am I to decide the length of your hair?” he asks, standing up and slapping the table. You, startled, blink a few times before freezing completely. Of course you must ask, you were taught you should obey him no matter what since the day you were born.

Ichiji’s annoyance grows the more you keep silent; he walks towards you, with his white cape flaming as he moves.

His hand, covered in little cuts he won’t admit he has from past battles, strongly takes the braid from your hands to inspect it.

“I don’t care how long your hair gets as long as it can be moved out of the way” he mutters, pulling so softly from it to let you know you should stand up.

The prince throws your braid off, letting it fall on your back and his hand land on your mandible. Just a finger there, and his thumb so close to your lips, seems enough to leave you breathless. Ichiji smirks; slowly, he moves your head to the side to expose your neck and coming close he simply murmurs some more words before attacking your flesh with sharp teeth…

“I don’t mind your hair, I don’t mind your clothes… MY only order is to let me enjoy your flesh, (Name)... and you smell, as always, so deliciously~”

You swallow, what order? If there isn’t anything you wish the most right now than him eating you alive?

He carves his teeth deep into your skin; marking your neck so that everybody knows Ichiji Vinsmoke’s future wife is only his.

You moan to his first attack, making the man topping you to slightly stop; that sweet whimper caused things to his insides he cannot even describe. His hands, in response, passed from your waist to your thighs, lifting you up to finally deposit you on the table. The food Scattered all around, he didn’t care and nor did you.

He rips the fine strings of fabric that were holding your dress up; he wants to enjoy your flesh, again, he doesn’t even care about the clothes.

“You’ve grown up…” he forgets, for a moment, that dominant role to become a simple man amazed by the beauty of your chest.

“You have as well…” you murmur, remembering once when you were innocent teenagers trying to discover what human anatomy looked like naked.

He smiles, this time so genuinely it almost scares you… Ichiji shouldn’t have feelings, yet you know he always hid them.

“Come’ere” he laughs, attacking your breasts with those sharp fangs you are so pleased to feel carving marks again… this time as adults, not innocently but so lustfully, so sinfully…

Slowly, your back finally meets the table. Ichiji falls on top of you, with his hands on each side of your shoulders and his hair slowly losing the hairdo; he looks so hot with his crimson hair down.

“I am dying to fuck you” he states, so needy. “Fuck me, then…” you whisper, with cheeks on fire and your nails carved on his back.

His eyes wander yours; his lips separate…

“You know I shouldn’t…” “I know…”

He can’t. He has it forbidden. Cruel rule imposed by his father, the King. He shouldn’t have intercourse with his wife if not before she’s been taken to the lab… exactly like his mother.

New fanfic idea: Zoro has his lunch bag always full of delicious food, but he can't cook to save his life.

Zoro is a 16-year-old student in the East-Blue school (both elementary and high school). He and his friends somehow always has luch together.

Last year, Zoro's lunches were a bunch of things that he found before coming to school; this year, Zoro's lunches are delicious bags of food that seems, smells, and taste majestic. Everybldy is wondering what happened in those 3 months of vacation that they didn't notice.

Zoro and Sanji meet each other since they were kids, they were neighbours, but Sanji went to other school. They hang out any time they can, and they are almost a couple (their parents think so) and they are like moss and rocks (haha).

Sanji was in the afternoon shift, so they didn't collide on their way to school, bc Zoro had kendo club's practices and matters to attend.

Something happened and Sanji's shift changed, so this year he was finally at the morning shift, which meant that he made a lunch bag for Zoro, bc he knew Zoro's lunch bag was full of crap.

•Chopper is a little kid that they defended, he is actually 12, but he is already hanging out with the big guys.

•Zoro did mention Sanji a bunch of times, but it was in such a...weird way, that nobody even asked him what he meant; it was all like "cook does better", "damn, curly wouldn't like that" (put of nowhere, seeing a person dance or do something cool with his feet) "yeah *with confidence*".

•SORA IS ALIVE!! She is married to Zeff. She sued Judge and let her kids decide whom to live with, Ichiji, Niji and Yonji preferred Judge, Reiju and Sanji preferred their mother.

•Sanji is in that school bc of how close it is to Zeff's restaurant, but once Sanji turns 17 they will let him go with Zoro to the East Blue school

•Franky, Jimbei, Robin and Brook are teachers (I think is obvious of what, bit Franky can be Tech teacher or PE teacher).

•The crew are actually in a club together, they just go to others clubs too. (Nami economics club, Ussop in mechanics club, Luffy in theatre club (he is usually the sun or the moon), Zoro in Kendo club, Chopper in infirmary club and Sanji in cooking club).

•Perona and Reiju are friends, and that's how Zoro and Sanji met. You know that thing that is like "You can't go w/o your little brother"?, that happened to them, but they were good with that (both of their brother were pretty lame and asocial kids).

•It is a semi private school (you pay, but not a lot) and they accept scholarships (that's how Nami is there).

•Sora also works at the baratie, but as a accountant.

•Zeff did loose his leg saving Sanji (make how babe).

•AT the end they find out about Sanji and (néctar year obviously) they go at the same School, all aiming to the same college "One Piece".

•different species exist, Chopper is one of them, basically almost his backstory, but his parents gave him in adoption and ended up with the doctor (cont remember the name rn).
