Two soulless beings with completely different takes on the universe/multiverse is kinda rad imo.

It’s not really expanded upon in the fandom much, but both Ink and Flowey have quite a bit in common; and not just the fact that they’re soulless beings with (sometimes overpowered) powers.

They were both “forgotten” by those who were supposed to care for/ nurture them.

They both made choices that ultimately ended with them loosing their souls.

And they both (in a way) view the universe in which nothing really matters.

Had a great idea for an evil copia au where he and sister were planning to get him to become papa (cuz sister would do anything for his little boy). Copia is very good at acting so he can continuously play the awkward Cardinal that we all love and no one would even think that he has the capability to kill his brothers, do well as papa and then ultimately betray his mother to become Frater Imperator.

His ghouls are also in cohorts with him and his antics so whenever omega tries to go to one of them and tell them that Copia literally beheaded Terzo they act like he could do no such thing even if they were the once to drug the brothers.

Nihil is also none the wiser to all of this he’s just happy to do what his seestor wants to do, not knowing that she plans to replace him with their son.

Also another thing, copia can still see ghosts so he’s constantly haunted by the ghosts of his murdered brothers.

Nihil and Sister Ghoul Clergy Au:

Detailed descriptions and some art under the cut, mostly their young selves before the other Papas came to power. I just felt like rambling

Nihil: Air/Water Multi (until the failed transition)

Born into a higher ranking family in hell, Nihil has always been the black sheep of his family. His lineage has served Satan and the throne for eons, but he never really lived up to his father’s expectations. He’s found by Sister after being cast out, and desperate to reclaim some of his honor, begs her to take him with her to the surface. Taking pity on him, (and seeing the perfect ghoul for her to manipulate) she agrees. He, Sister, and Psaltarian form a tight knit pack.

Still a stickler for tradition! Sometimes he fears that’s all he has left. The moment Secondo was born there was no doubt in his mind who his favorite son was. His little guppy is his best friend, and the two were two peas in a pod for a very, very long time. Swimming with Secondo in the lakes of hell are some of his fondest memories.

Air is his primary element and culture, but Nihil has one hell of a siren song on him. It’s been his undoing on more than one occasion, he often doesn’t even realize he’s doing it.

Covered in short soft fur, with little bursts of fluffy feathers on his ears, elbows and shoulders. His fins were sharper. Almost everything was burned away in the failed transition ritual. His horns cracked and fell off, and his tail was so terribly mangled most of it had to be amputated. His gills charred and closed. This irreparably damaged his relationship with not only Secondo, but all of his sons. Primo angry that once again he had to step up to do what Nihil should’ve, Secondo angry because his father removed any and all commonalities they had, and Terzo would only take on his brothers’ pain and grief, and become angry that Nihil did that to them.

Sister Imperator: Fire/Quint Multi

Imp is one of the highest ranking ghouls in all of hell. She was an advisor before taking a leadership role, and was summoned by Satan himself to embark on an unholy mission on the surface. She is calculating, every step she’s ever taken has brought her here, and nothing will get in her way of spreading His message.

Or so she thought. Nihil was not her first choice, really. But it had to be someone. And he was swayed so easily, it would make her job that much easier. She and Psalitarian agreed on the end that he was perfect.

And then she realized she was falling for him. What started as manipulative seduction was quickly turning into real, true affection. It throws her for a loop at first, knocks her off kilter enough that all of a sudden they have a relationship, a real one. And one she’s fiercely possessive over.

When the events at Whisky A Go Goat happen, it takes everything in her to not burn the whole stupid bar down and spit on the ashes. She’s angry, of course she is, but as pathetic as Nihil’s groveling is she can’t help herself. Copia’s (and his twin’s) conception throws her for another loop, and both kits are sent back to hell, raised in separate families and in ignorance. Copia himself was raised by a fire pack, chosen by Imp herself, but none of them really know where he came from. It hurts her to send her sons away, and in her grief she isolates. That’s where Nihil’s failed transition comes in, and she realizes she can’t count on anyone but herself. At least Primo seems promising.

Is genuinely a good Mother Superior. She cares for mankind, in a slightly twisted way. Belief and awe give power, and as the ministry grows, so does Sister’s reputation. The humans of the abbey, her abbey, are under her protection. The outsiders…not so much. She doesn’t take kindly to disrespect, and the humans that she keeps close, (and one…special ghoul) are loyal to a fault. You make an enemy of one, you make an enemy of them all.

Has no fur. Her fingers and feet are blackened, like ash. Her horns and paw pads glow an eerie green. Fire is her primary element and culture. Can change her form to become pure light, a trait Copia inherited, often looking little a wisp of green flame. In the early days of the ministry, she and Psaltarian would hunt in the woods together, and Satan help any poor soul that was led astray by flickering colored lights after dark.

Red Son is a demon whose resilience exceeds anything else's truly. He'll get upset, he'll get hurt, you can knock him down, left, right, and sideways, but he always, always gets back up again. He refuses to let the world best him for two full seconds—one and a half is more than enough, thank you.

But something like this gives the idea that if you actually managed to push down Red Son, he'd stay down. For a while. (Further exploration in the tags)

He's always been a rather dramatic boy, so he supposes it's just in his nature to overreact like this. They're going to get his father back, obviously, but Mother’s behavior has been too much to bear, and even moving away and settling in his own territory hasn't quelled his despair.

If conquering can't fix it, what can? God, how he wishes he could go to bed and wake up the next morning better. Sleeping it off would be so much preferable to this unending tiredness…

You are spot on, I was thinking of this exact meme when I originally drew them lmao!

There were a few occasions though where this wasn’t the case.

For instance, in Praeteritum, Primo had both a fantastic and horrible dedication ceremony. He was born outside of the church, and wasn’t found until Primo’s mother had actually wrote to Nihil that she’d given up their son to an orphanage years ago. Primo would often hear a dark but oddly comforting whisper at night that would teach him things about the stars, plants, when people were going to die- math. It was always dismissed as the whining of a troubled child seeking attention. After Primo was discovered and tests were run in order to be certain, he was dedicated like all children within the church by Papa Nihil.

To say Lilith was pissed would be an understatement. Nihil and Imperator had recently married at this point, but both of them had decided not to have a Prime Mover ceremony, since Imperator wanted to keep her current position in the church. Technically Nihil conceived Primo while he wasn’t with Seestor (with Secondo and Terzo he definitely was), but the fact that he had a child with someone outside of the church was not good. It meant that the “sacred devotion” that ran through the Emeritus family as totally dedicated Satanists was “ruined”. Lilith would be happily proven wrong by Primo though, as he proved to be a very gifted and unblessed prophet of Lucifer.

So imagine, you’re just a little kid. You’ve been living in some orphanage with no real contact or connection with anyone other than the scary voice in your head for as long as you can remember. Then some people come and “adopt” you and take you to this massive church and introduce you to your father. You’ve been briefed by some spooky monks about some ritual, and now you’re kneeling in front of an altar in front of a giant goat monster and this really angry woman screaming things you don’t fully understand at your “dad”, but you know it’s bad stuff about you.

This is when Lucifer reveals himself for the first time to Primo.

He can finally see the face of the person that’s been his only source of company his entire life. Lucifer is very much hands off when it comes to his followers, even the ones he dubs as serving a particularly special purpose, like all the Emeritus boys, but that hug may as well had been a binding pact. Primo will be incredibly close to Lucifer for his entire life.

I mean, what’s more prophetic than one of your bishops being possessed by Lucifer himself while he holds and presents your son to the manifestation of Satanas, while the unholy mother is screaming in your face for not waiting to have kids with your new hot girlboss you pulled at some party in Transylvania.

Notice how Lucifer is holding Primo the correct way to hold a child. Notice how Satanas is allowing his nose to be pet. This was a very special occasion within the church.
