Fought legends. Was resurrected. But here I go, smothered by a giant beanbag.

Once they're comfortable with each other, Dusknoir gets a bit clingy. It's not obvious during the day - he might rub the end of her tail/ears between his fingers as a self-soothing tactic if he's nervous, but otherwise she's the one that has to engage with him. At night, though? When his inhibitions are lowered (especially if he's asleep/on the verge of it)? He can't help himself - he seeks out anybody close that's warm, but usually it's Eliana that's ever close enough to fall victim to it to his boa constrictor arms. He wraps up the nearest victim into a big ol' hug and he cuddles them like one would with a stuffed animal. There's no way to escape, one must simply accept their fate and wait until morning when he wakes up inevitably mortified about doing something so forward subconsciously.

Eliana learns this the hard way. (But she doesn't mind it as much as she plays it off. It's kind of nice being compressed like that on a perpetually cold pillow. Most of the time she ends up snuggling him right back.)

Savage Spin-Out - Do your pokémon have any accessories?

Yeah! All the 'mons in the Gym are allowed to have accessories if they want to (ofc they don't have to hinder them while fighting or be risky for them to wear them during battles). Some examples are Gene the Obstagoon that likes to wear a studded collar and there's Cyanide that has a spiked bracelet on one of his waist spikes... oh and speaking of bracelets, his sister - Strychnine - she has a bunch of those bracelets with chunky plastic beads... and Jezabel, the Salazzle, she likes necklaces.

Soul-Stealing 7-Star Strike - Have you ever gotten into a physical fight?

Hello, I'm not sure if you're aware, but tumblr is going to start helping midjourney gather data for their AI. You're one of the artists I follow here pretty actively and I wanted to warn you to maybe start nighshading your art before posting it here so it doesn't get swept up!

I've seen a couple of posts about it. Feeling disappointed but not that surprised. Also not excited about having to start nightshading/glazing my pieces but if there isn't going to be any serious regulations regarding data scraping and ai "art", there aren't a lot of choices.

She could absolutely decapitate him if the whim so struck her. He's lucky she instinctively opted for a Solar Beam rather than a fully executed Leaf Blade when they were first reunited tbh. Thank Arceus for the strong sun that day honestly.

Once he re-earns her trust, it's fixed like Roman concrete. She can never imagine hurting him again. She's learned him by then, knows him inside and out (even if it was unwilling at first). He trusts her to have faith in him, and he's actually strengthened by that reassurance—as well as the promise that she has the strength now to keep him in check. Should he ever delude himself again, he finds peace knowing she can stop him once and for all.

Never mind the fact that his pretty little lady love is as deadly with her abilities as she is with her mind—sharp in more than one sense of the word. And that has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that he gets a little flushed every time her tail curls around him. Nope. He's flushed because she's naturally warmer than him and is helping to promote his circulation. i would love to hear your thoughts about zoe

i'm here to remind everyone that zoe decided to befriend a hundred-headed dragon w terrible breath, just bc she could. like zoe says she could feed ladon by hand! meanwhile, her sisters are still scared of ladon in the present story, some two thousand years later. but zoe and ladon were close enough that he doesn't attack her immediately when she returns to the garden and purposefully makes herself "a bigger threat." i don't think we talk abt this enough.

this is under a read more bc the first bit is the most important part honestly. i haven't seen a single person draw zoe w her hundred-headed, stinky dragon. that feels like a crime.

but i also want to talk abt how she badly hercules burned her. she has no real reason to help him, at no point in their conversation is there any sort of implied transaction, but she helps him anyway. bc she's kind! and it cost her everything she had. her immortal power, her gift from her mother, her family, the dragon she befriended. and she gets nothing from it! not even the slightest bit of recognition. she had to rebuild everything.

I found a single individual of the Nightshade family while weeding a part of my mom's garden for her. No other ones around. I didn't know what it was at first so I looking it up with a plant identification app. There's a lot of birds around so I'm assuming that's how the plant got there. Berries are usually used by plants to disperse their seeds right? So why is nightshade usually so deadly? (Also I did pluck the plant like a weed. She plans on getting a dog and I didn't want it eating it and dying. Neat plants, wrong place for it. I do leave more harmless and less aggressively invasive weeds alone.)

Short answer: because birds aren't mammals!

Slightly longer answer: because birds are reptiles, the way birds metabolize different compounds often departs significantly from how mammals do it. Because birds are weird hot-blooded reptiles, this also differs from how many "typical" reptiles metabolize things.

In addition, depending on what species of nightshade you pulled, its entirely possible that their berries are not toxic to mammals (or at least are minimally so!). Take tomatoes, for a well known example!

Additionally, if your mom is using fresh compost or unsanitized soil (in this case, getting rid of seeds is included in 'sanitization'), it could have come from that. Or, if she is breaking new ground and establishing this garden, it could be that it came from the seed bank!
