This middle grade fantasy graphic novel sounded like fun, and definitely lived up to that promise. I loved the notion of music as a vehicle for time travel, and really appreciated how the story worked in lessons about the history of popular music without feeling pedantic. But I really loved the layers of complexity that @nidhiart gave each character. Everybody had depth and distinct personalities. Even in a science fiction or fantasy story, I look for characters more than surface gimmicks, and this absolutely delivered.
