1- Agrigente / 2- Yellow and Green Rectangles / 3- Nature Morte / 4- Les Musiciens / 5- Les Footballeurs / 6- Les Martigues (Composition) / 7- Le Parc des Princes / 8- Noon Landscape / 9- Paysage / 10- Bord de Mer #nicolasdestael #nicolasdestaël #art #sanat #painter #ekspresyonizm #kübizm #benibunaannemzorladi https://www.instagram.com/p/B2MwEgxgBC8/?igshid=1s3mhp4rshuqc

Roger Mühl Roger Mühl was a 20th-century French painter best known for his light-drenched landscape renderings of the South of France. Mühl’s paintings often feature built-up impasto surfaces and utilise complimentary colours and neutral tones. Using these techniques Mühl created both atmosphere and physicality in his subtle compositions. Born on December 20, 1929 in Strausbourg, France, he went on to attend the ‘National School of Decorative Arts’ in Strasbourg. He spent most of his life living and working in Provence while exhibiting in London, Paris, Geneva, Tokyo and New York. Mühl died on April 4, 2008 in Mougins, France. #neonurchin #neonurchinblog #dedicatedtothethingswelove #suzyurchin #ollyurchin #art #music #photography #fashion #film #design #words #pictures #french #strausbourgh #nationalschoolofdecorativearts #painter #lightfilled #landscapes #impasto #atmospheric #nicolasdestaël #rogermühl https://www.instagram.com/p/CToiAtHsmRv/?utm_medium=tumblr

Nicolas de Staël Nicolas de Staël (January 5, 1914 – March 16, 1955) was a French painter of Russian origin known for his use of a thick impasto and his highly abstract landscape painting. De Staël also worked with collage, illustration and textiles. De Staël was born in 1914 into the military aristocracy of St. Petersburg. To escape the revolution, the family emigrated to Poland, and from here, on the death of his parents, the young Nicolas was sent to live with a Russian family in Brussels. Ten years later he studied at the Brussels ‘Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts' traveled through Europe and north Africa and met his first life-partner, Jeannine Guillou. Settling in Paris in 1938 de Staël studied briefly under Léger. Between 1939 and 1941 de Staël served in the French Foreign Legion, returning first to Nice and then Paris, where he lived with Jeannine in great poverty. He had exhibitions in 1944 and 1945, but success came too late for Jeannine, who died of illnesses resulting from malnutrition in 1946. De Staël then met and married Françoise Chapouton, and from 1947 began to attract attention, first in Paris and then New York and London. The New York dealer Paul Rosenberg gave de Staël an exclusive contract in 1953, making the artist a commercial and critical success. Prices were raised and more paintings requested. He now had four children and an international reputation. #neonurchin #neonurchinblog #dedicatedtothethingswelove #suzyurchin #ollyurchin #art #music #photography #fashion #film #words #pictures #neon #urchin #nicolasdestaël #painter #french #russian #léger #paulrosenberg #representation #abstraction #abstractexpressionist (at Antibes) https://www.instagram.com/p/BnX8XqWF79X/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=b4ez3cfbmmpn
