The ninja's favourite F1 drivers

because i'm insane and obssessed and wholly unwell

Rayne = Max Verstappen/Prime Sebastian Vettel. Self explanatory. She loves the cutthroat nature of Red Bull and the aggressive/dominant driving from both of them. Absolutely shits herself over the 2021 season but cries tears of joy when Max wins. She likes Lewis, but Max is her motorsport god. She's a mega fan and gets so worked up over the races. All the others hear from her room on late Sunday nights is squealing and "NO YOU MORON"

Lloyd, on the other hand, is a Lewis fanatic. he has posters on his wall and a little model car on his bedside table. he tried to replace the window panes in his bedroom with aqua-stained glass, but Wu didn't let him. In an AU where Formula 1 exists in Ninjago, Rayne and Lloyd would come out of their rooms after a race (in 2021-era) and just. glare.

Kai loves Franco Colapinto. Every time this silly little Argentinian specimen is on the screen, Kai is telling everyone to shut up, only for them to be instantly silenced by something out of pocket Franco says. He loves his chaotic nature and contagious laugh

Cole is a bit more flexible, but if he had to pick a favourite, it would be Carlos. He was a little confused over the Williams move, (weren't we all?) but ultimately supports him and hopes he brings Williams back to glory. Lost his absolute shit over his win in Singapore 2023. Kai was scared.

Jay adores Charles Leclerc with his entire heart. He's got a whole Pinterest board full of headshots with little pink bows on Charles' forehead, and a whole separate fan account for edits of Leo. He's convinced Kai somehow found out, so he never lets him near his phone. He'll defend Ferrari's golden boy to his grave.

Zane wholeheartedly wishes for Fernando Alonso's return to g[race] - see what I did there? - but sort of knows it will never happen. He also misses the days Nico Rosberg was racing. Any time the German speaks over the radio or commentates or interviews anyone, Zane watches that shit from start to finish. Also loves Lewis.

Nya likes both the McLaren boys, but if she had to choose one to defend until her dying days it would be Lando. I don't know why this duo speaks to me, but it just does. She loves how much he achieved with a finally good car and is sooo proud of him. She likes all of his Instagram posts.

Pixal likes Pierre Gasly and Valterri Bottas the most, even if they aren't currently in top teams. She thinks they're both incredibly talented (which they are IMO) but she highly doubts they'll achieve anything driving tractors. Any time Sauber clocked a 1-min pit-stop or Alpine had an issue, she would scoff at the TV and mutter "I could do it better myself"

Sibling Showdown!!!

This showdown consists of 64 sibling sets facing off against each other, as well as a few one-off polls of sets who didn’t make the actual bracket but who I wanted to include in some capacity.  Polls will last a week.  Round One of section A will go live on April 16, with section B going live the day after, section C the day after that, and section D the day after that.

Propaganda is allowed!  I just ask that it be kept positive.  Argue for your faves instead of against someone else’s.  Every sibling set who made it in the showdown is there because someone wanted them to be, so keep it kind.

Will the winners be the siblings that love each other the most?  That are most capable of killing other sibling groups with their bare hands?  That have the most sibling swag?  It’s up to you to decide!  You get to choose the manner and parameters you judge each sibling set for.

• Because I wanted to

• Because they are my comfort

• Because Nya means the courage and firmness that I need for 2024

• Because Lloyd is how I feel, a more sensitive way like I was in my 2023
