what are you most looking forward to in oathbound??

Literally everything 😭 I'm actually really looking forward to Bree becoming more powerful and physically stronger if that makes sense? I'm hoping Erebus is gonna give her a bunch of training and I'm hoping that she's gonna be able to control and summon (is that the word???) her own aether as well. Not that she's already powerful, it's just she doesn't know how to properly control everything that she can do without Arthurs help as all the other legendborn still have a shit load of training she missed out on.

I'm also hoping she's gonna have a break from the two white boys since ngl she deserves it 💀

Also, I'm curious as to how it's gonna end as knowing Tracy I'm guessing there's gonna be a massive showdown or fighting scene in the last 50 or so pages. We've had that in the previous 2 books (the fight at the ogof y ddraig & the blood walk) so I'm assuming we'll have another plus a cliff hanger or plot twist to keep us going until book 4. Considering this will be the last cliff hanger until the final book it might be a big one so I'm preparing myself for if that does happen 😭😭

If you don't know I am strictly a Sel lover and he's one of my favorite characters throughout Legendborn and Bloodmarked, however I do have a question for those who are team Nick. I won't say I hated Nick as a character because that would be a lie but I didn't love him. I did love that he was so willing to help Bree and he was overall a nice enough guy but aside from that he has no traits that made him special in my eyes and I simply can't imagine him ending up with Bree longterm. I'd even go a step further and say his romantic relationship with Bree is purely built upon physical attraction and a slight connection that honestly felt more like Lancelot and Arthurs call and response rather then Bree and Nick. I will be honest and admit my love for Sel may be clouding my judgement though. Even thought there were some moments that I thought were cute Nick just felt so one dimensional.

So my question is if you are team Nick I want to know why. No judgment but I genuinely want to know the appeal that I'm clearly missing.

Hey Legendborn fandom! Nick and Sel don't need to date each other to end up in polyamory! Polyamory is having romantic relationship with more than once person! Bree can date both of them without them dating each other. Do I think this Will happen? No, I think there's some things that hint that the three of them will be toghether unless a tragedy happens but that doesn't change the fact that If Sel and Nick can't have a romantic relationship, doesn't mean Bree can't end up with both.

What do you guys think of the theory of Nick betraying Bree? his story does sound a lot similar to this and scions aren’t really supposed to date so it could be possible that they follow the betrayal storyline.

Do have theories about oathbound.

Yes, a few!! But most of them are probably ones that everyone's already said but here we go lol;

1. I definitely am under the belief that Sel is Erebus'/SK son. It just makes sense especially as it's clear Erebus and Natasia had a very close relationship. It would also explain why Sel is as powerful as he is.

2. Sel and Natasia are definitely the ones who are killing all these Merlins but I think everyone agrees on this theory 😂

3. We may or may not get a Nick/William pov but I am crossing my fingers that we DON'T get this. It's just Tracy has made it very clear that this is BREE'S story and I feel like it would definitely take that element away if we add more pov's. I'd be down for some separate pov chapters in the special addition of OB though 🤷‍♀️

4. I think Sel is going to regain (is that the word??) his humanity at either the middle or end of this book. At least I'm keeping my fingers crossed cos I really want my poor baby back ;((

5. We're getting Natasia Kane even if it's a GLIMPSE of her I'm BEGGING

6. I've also got this theory that Valec is also the SK son making Sel and him possibly half brothers. I know this is a stretch but we know little to nothing really about his life. He also reacted to Erebus' name and mentioned that they'd met before and maybe the reason he recognised Sel's name so quickly wasn't just as he was the kingsmage but because they're related?? I'm grasping at straws here I know

7. Alice is becoming Williams squire. Don't ask me how I've just got this feeling

8. Nick must be feeling really bad bloodlust rn through the bond since I'm sure that's really all Sel is feeling rn because.. obviously. I wonder how that's going to affect him
