okay just. hear me out.

you're in the aisle at like walmart or some other store of a similar vein, chewing on your nails because Nick left you there to grab lights while he grabbed a tree stand a few aisles over. he comes back and sees that you haven't made any choices.

"what's the hold up?" he asks innocently and puts the tree stand in the cart.

"i can't figure out which ones i want for the tree. because like, i think i like white lights better but if we're getting all silver stuff, the rainbow lights will bounce off of it really nicely?"

"okay so what." he cuts himself off because it feels goofy asking but like, how else do you ask? "so what's an s-tier light for the tree?" you snort.

"we're doing a tier list now?"

"yeah! humor me, what's s-tier?"

"i guess... white, led lights. they're so bright, and pretty. but i think specifically for outside, not inside... but the rainbow led lights are... probably s-tier too but for inside." Nick nods.

"I think all the led lights are probably always s-tier, as long as they don't blink. if they can blink but don't have to, then yes s-tier."

"but lights that blink all the time?"

"oh, f tier, clearly. it's distracting." you laugh in response. he goes to grab a bundle of icicle lights.

"ew no, well maybe not ew but i don't want gimmick lights."

"how are icicle lights gimmick lights?"

"it's for people to cope with not having snow." it was his turn to laugh, wrapping an arm around you and putting the icicle lights in the cart.

"well i'm huffing copium then because i like them."

Holy CRAP!

@rad-roche and @chadfallout76podcast gave me permission to animate her lovely art! This is for the upcoming VoiceAPalooza charity drive for the Alzheimer's Association, there will be a lot amazing voices, new and old, and I am personally hyped to sit down for another radio special!

I had a lot of time to theorize what this special might be about--I'm excited to see if I've hit the mark or strayed far from it ✪ ω ✪

A short breakdown of the process below~

Usually I would share a timelapse with y'all but I forgot to press record :'D

I went back and made some gifs though that hopefully show what I did! It's pretty simple! I took Rad's art and copy-pasted all the parts I wanted to move, then painted under to try and match what would be exposed under that movement. Following that, I had fun adding jolts, smoke, and a little tween! The hardest part for me was nailing down the timing of the gun; that took some tries to make it look natural.

💞 Who's your comfort character?

Uhhhh it changed with the hyperfixation, I’m always torn between my OCs and fandom characters. I guess right now it’d be a toss up of my OC Shaylin or Jason Todd (Love my sexy semi dead heroes). There were also phases of different fandoms like Villainous which was my first one, and Flug was all I could write, loved him. Then it shifted to Eddy and Venom, and so on an so forth for all different characters. But I’ll always come back to my OC Nick, my himbo blorbo

ok here are some of my angsty nick brainrots (tw for mental illness and brief references to ed’s/self harm! nothing graphic but still wanted to give the heads up)

in a non creepy way, he does NOT get over breakups easily. type of ex to insist you can still be friends immediatly after a breakup and slowly try’s to repaint himself as a possible romantic interest in your life. drives you and accompanies you while you’re doing errands, drives you to appointments if needed, brings flowers and your fav food if he knows you’ve had a long day, etc. does not make moving on from him easy, because he has no intention of moving on from your guys relationship anytime soon. he still wants you, and deep down no matter the circumstances of the breakup part of you still wants him and he knows that.

type of partner who who gets angry if he finds out that his partner has depression or any other mental health disorder. never at you of course, but at the events that lead you to that place. when it comes to outside parties/situationa hurting you or your guys relationship, he tries to resolve it asap. makes things very complicated if anything is tied to your family/friends and you’re still in regular contact, as he doesn’t understand why you would want to be sound people that have hurt you so much.

if you doing anything to possibly harm yourself such as starving or other forms of sh, he immediately blames himself. you’re always there for him as an outlet to help him get through his problems, and he couldn’t help you to the point where you turned to this. another thing that’s difficult at the start to communicate with him about as he accidentally makes the focus on him, rather than you.

nick who fixates but is aware of it and tries to not let it be so so intense but he cares so much about you and what's going on. who experiences this deep-seated anger seeing you still answer calls from your parents who have never once supported you in your life, to bend over backwards to do something for them.

the anger and frustration from knowing that something in your past happened to cause the domino effect in your soul that hurts you so, so badly that could have been easily prevented.

finding out that you are hurting yourself on purpose drives a nail into his chest, and i think that he immediately does try to turn it around. help you find another coping mechanism, can't stand the image of you bruising yourself or making yourself bleed or throw up.

"please," he asks softly, holding your hands in his, pulling you close to him. "we can work through it, it'll be okay. please let me help."
