Her and about 75 of her fellow NSU University School students, walked 17 miles for the 17 lives lost. Starting in Davie, Florida, they spent 6 hours marching down University Dr, until finally reaching Marjory Stoneman Douglas. For Joymarie this was the first time she was able to visit the memorial site for her friend Nicholas Dworet. The walk was worth it. In his obituary, Dworet was described as a leader and a ‘big brother’ figure. He had a diverse taste in music, was close with his family and loved his girlfriend Daria.”— Sun Sentinel It took a bit of research to find the last part of the previous statement, confirming what I could see was very true from many of the photos I saw.
