a combination of everything has changed, and The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller. To the surprise of no one this is an angsty lil thing that opens up on a memory of Buck reading a passage of TSoA to Eddie. Then it switches to present day in the hospital, with Buck watching over his husband, once again waiting for him to wake up from a medically induced coma. It will be told from Buck's POV with tiny sections of Eddie trying to find his way back. Previously posted snips here and here.

The only snippet that exists so far is here and I only have a few details sketched out at the moment.

Eddie is a well established Hollywood actor whose life is an outright mess following his latest girlfriend leaving and his son choosing to live with Eddie's parents. (Basically following the timeline of S7 but without Kim). His agent, Anita Mills, chooses to take a step back from him and gets him set up with Bobby Nash - agent to previous Hollywood Bad Boy Evan Buckley. While Buck has cleaned up his act it doesn't mean he doesn't still come with a boatload of insecurities underneath it all. The fic will follow a strangers/rivals to lovers structure as both men learn to deal with their shit and be the people they long to be.

Kon shook his head as he put his hands on his hips. "Why are they always doing this?"

"Something about time travel, missions, and rivalry? And the speed force?" Cassie answered.

Tim sat up, chewed on the piece of waffle that Cassie had put into his mouth, and then mumbled, "It's because when the Flash family use their speed force powers, they mess with the timeline and the Phantoms have to go fix it. It's happened so often that now there's an attack-on-sight for any of the Flash family."

Kon blinked. The other two were still fighting and it seemed as though Dani was winning because she was choking Bart with her elbow.

Everyone ignored it.

"Wait, how do you know about it?" Kon asked.

Tim reached for Cassie's plate for a piece of egg. "Her brother keeps attacking Wally every time they see each other when they visit Dick."

hairs are too short for root/tip controls so they're only 2 channels

these are meshes! the hair is NOT painted on the sims head like BG hairs!

but on the brightside that means they don't get that shiny look painted on hairs have.

some hairs have slight clipping issues around the temples but hopefully nothing too crazy tbh.

it ok yall i caved and bought the game moments after i made my last post and im living out my blissful love life now

Ive got through most of the game and boy i have some THOUGHTS... spoilers under the cut!!

I didn't expect to like the game so much cause im not actually that much of a horror fan (<- squeamish) , and like i said in the last post I wasn't sure how fun a game all about decrypting the dialogue will be (<- dumbass). But in the end I think the game mechanics is exactly the source of all the charm!! And come to think of it, it's a very unique mechanic too. The word-guessing makes the game exciting and scary (and sometimes is the key to avoiding certain death), but there's also just something about overcoming "broken" language to express your thoughts that is inherently really sweet to me. Maybe this is a wild comparison but its like that greentext thats like "bad times friend ahead...i go away but we are two of soul, i will return".

The game is also just pretty player-friendly, and the characters are all (well, mostly) really chill, so it wasnt very hard to guess most of the words too. But i will say that sometimes, you can kind of tell the nuance of the language-translation makes more sense as Japanese, so maybe that gave me a slight edge.

After playing the demo I thought this would be a really short game (like around 2-3 hrs), but I clocked in a solid 6 hours today LOL...and im still missing a few endings. Big spoiler but when MC "kills" Mr. crawling it genuinely upset me like GIRL WHAT IN THE FRESH HELL..........😭😭😭 but thank god he was fine :DD the scene where he shut himself in a closet crying because he thought the MC abandoned him 😭😭😭😭 IM SORRYYY but also like omg...😭😭😭😭 he ouppy............😭😭😭😭

But in contrast to those heavy moments there are also points where i think the game doesn't take itself very seriously LOL so by like 3 hours in it just kind of became a really chill game :)) I love how the MC is just so ridiculously forward being like "Do you have a crush on me or something 🥺👉👈" and most of them were just like "whats that lmfao"
